how many avatar comics have you read? please name one thing, at least one thing you liked about the comics. there has to be something.

I read The Promise, The Search, and Smoke and Shadow, part of The Lost Adventures, and every bit in any comic that had Toph, especially if she and Sokka were interacting BECAUSE MY FUCKING GOD, THEY'RE CUTE TOGETHER!

As for the things I liked:

1 - The sweet, sweet, sweet incest bait between Zuko and Azula. Girl straddled him in a cript, Zuzu covered her up with a blanket, they were constantly locking eyes in a way that made them look like they were five seconds away from jumping each other's bones, Mai said "Love hurts" while Zuko was chasing after Azula, and we saw them acting all cutesy while they were out undercover and saw scenes of Love Amongst The Dragons (including a love confession scene!) and remembered reenacting them together while looking like a couple out on a date.

2 - The few glimpses of the real Zuzu. Comics!Zuko might be a good for nothing piece of shit, but there moments when we could see a bit of what the comics could have been if the writers had put in just a little bit of effort, like his interactions with Kiyi, and when he tells Azula that, no matter how messed up their relationship is, she is still his sister and he loves her.

3 - KIYI! She might have been created for all the wrong reasons, but she was a sweet, precious baby, and her cuteness made that garbage fire of a story a lot more bearable.

4 - Toph building statues of herself because nobody can fucking stop her. Just yes, more of this.

5 - Toph actually getting to see her parents again AND TELLING HER DAD THAT SHE IS THE BEST EARTHBENDER EVER AND HE CAN'T DO SHIT ABOUT IT!

6 - TOPH AND SOKKA! TOPH AND SOKKA! TOPH AND SOKKAAAA!

7 - Iroh immitating Zuko and asking he was angst enough.

8 - BABY ZUKO, BABY AZULA, BABY MAI, AND BABY TY LEE!

9 - Zuko and Azula playing that arcade game.

10 - Aang making Zuko fly around because he was acting too serious and he didn't like it

11 - Suki. Just Suki.

12 - AZULA AND KATARA INTERACTING! "Nobody is that happy" "Aang and I are that happy" "Because you two are idiots"

The comics had many good moments. But those good moments weren't enough to compensate for all the character assassination, shitty retcons, and nonsensical plot points/twists (and the lack of a life-changing field trip between Toph and Zuko)
