Tomorrow we are giving a CSI training on burned crime scenes, which meant today we did the burns. Here are before, during, & after pics of one room (built inside a metal railway car in the parking lot of the fire department so nothing else was in danger of catching fire). It really puts into perspective all the pics of the devastating L.A. fire! 😢

On all that season 01 love:

One of the things I find very funny is when people talk about Sara and Grissom’s relationship dynamic as if it suddenly came out of nowhere—whether that response is coming in the second season or the fourth or at the end of the sixth or whenever.

Just look at the way these two nerds look at each other! ⬆️

I mean, these two lovely science nerds were making eyes at each other from the moment he turned around—i.e., when she first showed up, in the second episode.

The adoration! ⬆️

“Could you come tape me up?” followed by eye sex in the truck was the third episode, my loves—as was “I keep trying to be your star pupil” and him first caressing her face.

The workplace flirtation! (He loves his “work”!) ⬆️

Just try to tell me these two don’t want each other! ⬆️

Mile-high club “cite your source” airplane bathroom flirting was the ninth episode; her looking at him like he was the sun and the moon and the stars was the ninth episode.

The pure, unadulterated adoration! ⬆️

Y’all, “You want to sleep with me?” and the two of them sitting together outside, bundled up in blankets, watching a pig decompose, was the tenth episode.

Yes! Yes, he does! ⬆️

(I was really tempted on the weekend to make a new GIF-set that covered all their flirtiest, most 😍😍😍 season 1 moments, but honestly there are so many that that’s going to have to be a longer-term project.)

Anyway, it’s totally fine if someone missed it! That happens sometimes! But let’s not pretend that that’s the same thing as it not having been there, because it most definitely was.
