Should I go to a car show now?

Just gave my 2011 Lexus CT200h a fresh new look threw on some new rims and went for a 2-tone vinyl wrap in green and black. 👊

Even though it’s not the fastest car on the street, it’s turning heads like crazy. People legit think it’s a proper JDM beast now 😎

Feels like I’m driving a show car, not a hybrid! What do you guys think?

Found this roll of wrapping paper with only a smidge left on the tube at the thrift store this week. Just now went and got a piece of 20x30 foam board to stick it on and make a sort of backdrop. 😍

Wish there was enough to make a huge background for the 1/3 dolls too! But mayyybe I could squeak out a narrow piece for one cubby of the Ikea Detolfs?

got in trouble for reading a book (a physical book - not smth off my phone) at work cuz it was slow 😭

#so i was like what should i be doing instead?#oh you could be dusting or facing!#the way 95% of everything in the store is already faced and nobody gives af abt dusting 😭#i kinda argued back bc i've been there for so long #it's such a chill job especially when ur a uni student #but i straight up told my supervisor that it's stupid i can't read a book when it's slow #n she was like it's not stupid u could get in trouble when they check the cameras :( and they see u not working :(#if i get FIRED bc i read a book for half an hour u can take me out back n blast me with a pressure washer #the thing is nobdy else (as in none of the customers or my manager or other supervisors) would care that i was reading a book?#like she's just like a stickler for the rules #also she straight up grabbed the book from me and closed it? so i lost my place? so i took it back to add my bookmark #like u could straight up smash pots and pans in front of my face n call me the gum on the bottom of ur shoe #but the thing that gets me rly rlyyyy mad is like little acts of disrespect 😭#to me letting little things slide is just a gateway for letting bigger things slide #so that's why i got kinda snappy w her #n she kept saying my name n looking at me super seriously 😐 exactly like that wiufrqeiwuf #like u would think i just told a customer to kts #and not to be that bitch but i'm ACTUALLY a good employee #i do like her and i understand that sometimes u can't always be a friend to ur clerks like u do need to lay down the rules #but OVER A BOOK? New doll? New doll!

This is Aurelia, a porcelain BJD by Adollable Dolls out of South Africa. Her official artist name is Faylynn, but I wasn't a fan of that

She came in this lovely box:

With some extras:

Silver hair ornament with a little clip so she or I can wear it, and a box of Lindt truffles that unfortunately got squished in transit

She's a lovely doll overall; I've had some porcelain BJD disappointment in the past, so I was pleasantly surprised to open her and not feel that (two of the three I had previously owned ended up disappointing me). There are a few flies in the ointment, however.

The Good: gorgeous doll, good quality porcelain, very well done painting, little molded rings, posing is decent, spring jointed (which I prefer to elastic because it doesn't wear out), painted pubic hair- don't let unrealistic beauty standards get to you!, very soft and well constructed wig, pierced ears and earrings, nice packaging, came with a pretty stand that has a little silver feet

The Bad: weirdly small and narrow feet for the size and proportions of the doll; definitely cannot stand on her own, eyes are ever so slightly unfocused, artist sprayed a very strong perfume inside the box, does take a bit of finagling to pose even though she gets there in the end

(also I dropped one of her earrings on my carpet and now I can't find it, which is not the fault of the artist and has me kicking myself because they are very cute little gold leaves)

Overall, I would recommend this artist for the most part. Just be aware of the tiny feet thing, and maybe ask her if she can not spray perfume on the package if you have any kind of sensitivities or just generally don't want that
