i have this half-formed fic idea about ocean reactivating syoung and putting him in the f13 programming bay going off of some explanation along the lines of "needing someone in there to monitor it (in the knowledge that sayer might try to return) while ocean can do other stuff + it being easier to modify an existing AI than building a new one

i have a lot of thoughts about character interactions in this au that i might try to write up at some point but i got tired. that said. im fixated on the idea of syoung having vague secondhand memories of porter + porter being just generally kind of fascinated with him + the fact that both of them knew future and neither of them knows what happened to it :')

Meet 4 folks from the Cybervoid. Two residents, one trying to get out, and one who is merely a visitor. (More on these individual characters later, perhaps. Brief descriptions below)

Dr. Wave (top-left) and Hyena (bottom-left) are paranormal entities, original residents of the Cybervoid. They're best of friends, united in their love for music and corny jokes. They'll be reuniting soon, after more than one unfortunate run-in with a dark, foreboding, malicious entity.

Elegy (top-right) has been trapped in the void ever since she got sucked into her computer. She's been trying to break out ever since, traversing the void and finding herself amidst various games and programs.

"Sleepyhead," (bottom-left) as he's been dubbed by his potential target due to a botched intimidation tactic, is merely a passerby. He doesn't want to be part of this adventure, but he has no choice now. Sorry, buddy.

Magenta is an enigmatic figure surrounded by legends. Some deem her a digital vigilante, while others believe she's an artificial intelligence, escaped from the depths of the corporate's Ephirs. There are even whispers of her past as a mercenary for the Reds.

What's indisputable, however, is Magenta's extraordinary hacking prowess. She effortlessly infiltrates the most fortified networks, swiftly processes and manipulates digital data, and effortlessly navigates the labyrinthine Cybervoid (a realm akin to the DarkNet used for clandestine affairs), crafts destructive malware and elusive backdoors. Her digital trail cannot be traced, she is a ghost who brings only chaos with her.

Her motives remain a mystery. Magenta has few permanent allies, but those close to her are fiercely loyal. Rumors persist of a twin brother, lacking her cyber prowess but matching her elusive nature and exceptional hiding abilities.

It's impossible to ascertain Magenta's true appearance or whether she even exists in the physical world. In Ephirs and the Cybervoid, she uses an avatar: a stylish young girl with a vibrant pink afro.
