I finally figured out why I crush so hard on Raye Penber!!! Short storytime:

One of my first anime was FMA, way back in highschool. Another early one was Death Note. This is important. (Unimportant, I wasn't actually allowed to watch anime back then, so I made up a name to say in front of my parents to be able to discuss Death Note, and that was CSI Japan. I also called Bleach "Laundry Detergent." I was weird.)

Now why is it important that these were two of my introductory anime? Well 1) they're both awesome. 2) Roy Mustang and Raye Penber met a standard for me that was set back in my childhood watching Mulan: an attraction to dark haired men, somehow involved in law or the military, with deep-to-deepish voices that have at least a decent set of moral standards. "Decent" cause Roy is kinda trash sometimes, but I love him. (Leave me alone, Li Shang is a total babe and I'm right to say it.)

Anyway, just made the connection on my semi-annual Death Note rewatch, while HEAVILY thirsting over one Agent Penber. Hm, so sad he's about to be murdered by Kira. I shall mourn him greatly.

illyana was born to Nikolai Rasputin and Alexandra Rasputina on September 5th, 2001 she is the youngest and only female and has an older brother named Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin  also known Colossus (in the comics she still the only female of the three siblings and the youngest , in the comics she also have a brother named Mikhail Nikolaievitch Rasputin)

as a young child she was taken as a sex slave

limbo an imaginary dimension in illyana’s she created due to all the suffering she went though . she transported herself here along side her dragon  Lockheed (outside of limbo  Lockheed is a stuffed dragon toy, in limbo he is very much real ) to to be safe she is a very powerful sorceress.this place has become real to her after spending so much time there (in the comics limbo is a very much real place at the age of six after being saved she lived at the x mansion with her brother and she tagged along when the  her brother and the current x men were setting up a base of operations on a mysterious island , while the xmen were busy , illyana was lured away from the xmen and safety and was taken into limbo by Belasco , the xmen followed her into the dimension in tempt to recuse her. this wasn’t the first time the xmen were pulled into limbo, the current  members that fell into limbo with illyana an alternate group of the same current xmen from a different reality were pulled into there years prior and they couldnt escape two of those current five of the alternate realities self were killed, the alternative reality storm who goes by ororo , she hold off  Belasco’s demonic hordes so the newly trapped xmen can escape with the young illyana however not everything went as planned at the last minute Belasco pulled illyana back into limbo, after he pulled her away from kitty and back into limbo he forced a piece of her soul into a bloodstone ororo attempted to stop Belasco but with her old age and the power of the blood stone she was no match , lucky the alternative reality kitty came to the scene she drove Belasco away , her and ororo took the young girl to ororo’s garden sanctuary , the alternate universe version of storm attempted to sever the magical link Belasco hold on the young girl but she failed so instead she decided to tutor the girl in magic which would allow the young girl to better defend herself kitty then left being upset after a while of training with ororo cat snuck back into the sanctuary to convince the girl to leave with her, cat brought the girl to limbo’s savage land where cat taught the girl how to fight with a sword after three years of teaching the young girl cat brought here back to where Belasco’s territory with the intention to send the girl home and far away from Belasco they got through the alternative version of nightclawer who was under Belasco’s control, they had made in to Belasco’s alter before they could send her home Belasco’s came to further corrupt her  and transformed her into his dark chilld, her further muntanted cat so she was now under his control, his plan has work she had cut herself and make Belasco a second blood stone , she spend another two years under his control, she had also attempted to use the same magic the alternative version of storm taught her but she couldn’t even conjure a single acorn, during those two years the demon sim would punish the young girl  at the smallest mistakes or for even no reason at all. it was during this time the girls mutant powers manifested. for xx amount years she was in limbo until she used her own mutant  powers to bring her back to her time and place, with only a few seconds passing in her time , she was in the hellish dimension for limbo for seven years. illyana was now a teenage) 

illyana along with lockheed and her sword she killed eighteen men , including the men that used her as a sex slave. this cause her to be landed in Milbury Hospital where she meet three other mutants one who she doesn’t get along with when they were first admitted into the hospital 

when Illyana first meet Dani Moonstar she hated her she tried to kill her more the once . 

dani was the one who summed the demon bear to fight against dr reyes, after the bear killed dr reyes and the barriers keeping the mutants there fell vanished , Illyana takes on the demon bear and wins 

after that she and the three other mutants are free and get they stuff and head to town

Dancing’s Not a Crime (Unless You Do It Without Me) pt. 7

Pairings: Bakugou x fem!reader, Todoroki x fem!reader

You flirt and tease with a certain hotheaded classmate of yours without realizing how far it has escalated and someone gets a little jealous.

A/N: I kinda thought I knew where I was gonna go with this chapter up until the moment I started writing it? She’s confused and it’s fine. The reader is too. It’s FINE. Everything is FINE. I wrote this while hungover and after 4 hours of sleep. We’re fine.

Part 6

6:05AM (Unknown number): you awake?

6:06AM (Unknown number): it’s bakugou.

You glared at your phone screen that was far too bright for your sleepy eyes.

6:34AM You: Fuck nooooo

You covered your head trying to drink in all the darkness you could. You wanted to get at least seven hours of sleep before you had to go speak to Mr. Akabane about the events that took place the previous night. The fight that started in the club. The destruction that was caused because of you. Guilt washed over you while you thought about how you still allowed yourself to have a good night with Bakugou, after you had told Todoroki that you couldn’t look at him.

You were mad at him, sure, but you didn’t have to say something that would definitely strike at a very sensitive nerve.

You had lashed out, letting your frustrations you had pent up steam out a little bit in the wrong way and at the wrong time.

And then Bakugou allowed you to lash out in the right way at the right time.

Your phone buzzed under your pillow and you groaned.

6:40AM Baku: alright, princess. text me when youre not being little miss lazy bones. i wanna talk.

You rolled your eyes. Maybe that boy needed even more of an ass-kicking.

Taking in the familiar scent of the Japanese snowball flower, you sauntered along the sidewalk that led to Mr. Akabane’s cafe. Your hands tapped the white gates that led to the patio and did a once over, looking for anyone you may know. You relaxed a little, realizing that your classmates must all be sleeping in, like you wished you were.

There was a knot in your stomach. You idolized Mr. Akabane. He cared for you and you felt as though you had disrespected him by bringing in drama into one of his places of business. You didn’t want to see disappointment painted in his face but you had to right your wrongs.

You brushed your hair to the side of the neck, hiding the bruise that Bakugou had left you the night before and pushed against the doors leading to inside of the restaurant, causing a bell to ring, and you gasp when you see Todoroki bowing slightly to a smiling Mr. Akabane. He had the same idea in mind.

They both turn to the door, alerted by the bell, and you avoid Todoroki’s gaze. Mr. Akabane gives you a small wave, puts his hand on Todoroki’s shoulder and says something inaudible to you. Todoroki nods.

You turn and walk out. You would talk to Mr. Akabane another day but you didn’t think you could see Todoroki yet. You didn’t think he could forgive you for that low blow.

You rushed out of the white gates, that surrounded the restaurant, surprised at the burning of tears in your eyes.

A hand touched your elbow. You held your breath.

“I’m taking care of everything.” Todoroki’s voice rang in your ears.

You couldn’t keep walking but you couldn’t turn to look at him. You just held your breath.

“I know... I mean I don’t know... If I could go back in time, I would punch myself in the face instead of his. I would have stopped myself from starting that scene,” he pulled a hand through his red and white locks. “Or I would have accepted your invitation to dance. I don’t know. But I’m sorry. I’m sorry for putting you through all of that.” He licked his lips thinking of how to form his words. He was talking erratically and you weren’t used to that. He always chose what to say with precision. “Fuck,” he said. “I was jealous, Y/N. And I acted stupid and impulsively. I’m going to be working for Mr. Akabane for a bit to pay off the damages. I’m going to right my wrongs. But I know I hurt you and there’s no monetary way to fix that and I’m so sorry.”

You shook your head. “Todo,” your voice cracked.

He pulled his eyebrows together showing his concern. He didn’t mean to make you cry.

You shook your head trying to tell him that he wasn’t the reason for your tears. “Todo, last night, I was confused and there was so much shit going on and I couldn’t think straight and when I told you that I couldn’t look at you, I know I crossed a line. I wanted to hurt you and- and I shouldn’t have done that. I’m sorry.”

He nearly laughs. “Are you seriously apologizing to me, L/N?”

The two of you start to walk down the sidewalk to away from the cafe. You accept Todoroki’s apology and Todoroki refuses to believe that you owe him an apology. Soon the both of you are laughing, joking about Mr. Akabane and how Todoroki had to insist on not being paid for working for him.

“He couldn’t stop raving at having an ‘effulgent’ young man serving his cafe.”

You giggled, “ahhh what an opportunity to have such dazzlingly radiant and,” you feign a heatstroke, lightly brushing your back against his chest, “alluring specimen.” You smile up at him. His chuckle shakes your body and you push away from him, blushing.

“Alluring, am I?” He faces you with a half grin on his face.

“Oh, shut up, you know you’re handsome.” You looked down allowing your hair to fall in your face.

“Your words, not mine,” he said with a ring in his voice. Was Shouto Todoroki being cocky?

You rolled your eyes and shook your head. You couldn’t look at him without giving away your embarrassment.

“Y/N...”

With his left hand, Todoroki pushed a stray hair out of your face and behind your ear. His hand lingered on your jaw, thumb caressing your cheek. You put your hand over his, keeping it there. His presence was comforting and familiar but still your cheeks flushed at his touch.

He stepped closer to you, his chest pressed against yours. His hands traveled from your jaw, down your neck, to your shoulder. A tingling sensation was sent through your body in waves causing you to get goosebumps. When you let out a shiver, he used his quirk to warm you up. His cool breath danced across your skin. He smelled of spearmint.

Your eyes flashed from his, to his lips, and back to his eyes. He leaned into you and you didn’t back away. In fact, you were completely drawn in to him. Why was this happening now? Why... after the night you had spent with Bakugou, dancing, fighting, and kissing... why was it suddenly so hard to deny that you may actually have feelings for Todoroki? He was your oldest friend. He was someone who you could make fun of gross couples with, someone you could open up to about your thoughts and fears about your quirk, your biological parents, someone who knew most, if not all, your secrets. Your real secrets. He was your closest friend. And you wanted to kiss him.

And that confused you. Because that didn’t change your feelings for Bakugou. He was reckless and impulsive and he got on your nerves but when you were near him, it was like your body was on fire. You really didn’t know if you wanted to fight him or fuck him. Still, he pissed you off and he really didn’t know you at all. Todoroki did.

Eyes closed, your lips parted slightly, awaiting your best friend’s kiss. Instead, a wintry thumb lightly rubbed your bottom lip.

You opened your eyes and found Todoroki’s fixated on your lips. He read a vacant expression but his eyes showed a craving and a little sadness. He pulled away from you and cleared his throat.

“I’m in love with you, y/n. I know that you know that now but I had to tell you. I wanted to tell you this last night but I fucked it all up,” he half laughs. “Or at least I thought I did.” He gives you a once over. “I love you, Y/N, but I’m not going to kiss you. Not while you’re thinking about him.”

You opened and closed your mouth. Your fingers started nervously brushing and curling around your hair. If you had been flushed before, that was nothing compared to the heat in your cheeks you had then. Todoroki grins.

“I’m sorry,” you began.

“Don’t be.” Todoroki slung his school bag over his shoulder. “I’m not going to hold it against you. You had... a long night.”

You nod, finally collecting yourself.

Todoroki wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into a tight embrace and you mimicked him allowing yourself to be enveloped in his familiar warmth.

The hug was too short. He pulled away from you and your heart fell slightly.

“I’ve got to get going. My mom is waiting for me. I’ll see you, Monday?”

“Yeah,” You said, forcing a smile. “Monday.”

He smiles back and you turn to start walking in the direction of home. Your breathing is heavy and you try to calm your nerves. His glare fell heavy on you as you walked away.

“L/n,” his call was soft but it froze you in place. “When I do kiss you,” he smirked, though it seemed foreign on his face, it caused your heart to skip a beat, “you won’t be thinking about him. And you won’t have that mark on your neck.”

You turned to give him a shocked look but he was already gone.

Fuck.

Any non kpop song reccs?

Not necessarily recommendations, but these are some local songs I've been listening to recently. In no particular order -

I like the lyrics. It feels almost personal.

Charlie and Erin's song. Ngl i do like the chorus.

A good song to drown surrounding noises out, quite good for being able to focus on tasks. It just has that vibe for me.

Ballroooooom extravaganzaaaaa. Slay. Thank you Charles. Most songs slowed reverb sound amazing, but this one especially, the reverb effect is simply chef kiss.
