#FPtober 19 Matcha Spiral . @KWZ.ink Green Gold is the most matcha tea colored ink I own... which is funny because I have inks that are called matcha green but do not look quite as much like the tea! 💚🍵🖋😆 . #FPtober Coffee • Lion ☕️🦁 . Thinking of the word lion reminded me of pictures in the National Geographic, Henry Rousseau’s art and Caetano Veloso’s Leaozinho... 🎶🖼 . Very instinctively, on a short break, I inked up my @kasamaph with Edelstein Smokey Quartz ans drew the draft of the line in pencil while the coffee brewed in my bialetti. As soon as the espresso was ready, I dipped my paintbrush in it and simply covered the page in coffee, adding ink and diluting it at key places for the mane, shaping the face, and coloring the body. ✒️☕️🖌 . While the page dried, I took the second picture and worked for a while more so that I could focus on the details in the evening. To give depth, I used my @franklinchristoph P66 prototype with a FC Music nib and inked with Tono and Lims Bee, smudging it across the ears and mane. Then, I picked up ink from the nib of my Kasame to add more brown ink on the mane with my fingers, before using the pen to define the nose and eyes. ✒️🐝💛🤎 . I wish you could smell this page since the coffee and honey scented ink makes it really lovely. I wish you could here the lovely crinkle of the Tomoe River paper. I like the way it looks, but what I like about this lion is the whole experience of making it and how it stimulates all my senses. 🍯☕️🦁 . I hope your day was as lovely as mine. A few weeks ago, @appelboompennen asked me to talk on video about my top three pens. It was an emotional clip which you can see on Appelboom’s YouTube channel. 😊 . The Rocollection collector’s show in Paris 🇫🇷 was this weekend and I had a pretty good time there with @aliettedb and @amkfrance. 😊 Though this year’s show had far more watch collectors’ than pen collectors’ tables, I was super happy to find this sweet adjustable Wahl-Eversharp Doric nib and fall in love with a Silko that tempts me still. 🤭💕🙈✒️✒️ . I’m love the rather unique Sailor 273. Chanchito thinks he found his color too! 😍 . As for those of you who have been asking what model my Duke pen is... well, it’s a long story... turns out the pen I bought in a Taiwanese store is actually a frankenpen! 🧐 . The pen body is the Duke Carbon Fiber; the nib is a Confucius fude music nib with an overfeed. Considering that the nib is a size 6, I’d recommend getting the Confucius just for the nib and putting it into another size 6 nib pen you like. 😁 . Alternatively, there is also the Duke Guan Yu, which has a luminous green body... but I’m not sure that it’s nib is exactly the same as mine.🤓 .
