i love the headcannon that both tim and cass look scarily alike, to the point they could be twins.

like they both share the same general lithe build, they’re the same short height, cass has a short bob while tim has his baby mullet, their training is similar due to their backgrounds with lady shiva and the loa, and (depending on your headcanon) both waisan- so i can definitely see instances where they’re confused for each other or where they mess with everyone around them.

cass on patrol in red robin gear so tim can go on a date with bernard:

i want to be clear on my stance that i do not excuse the abuse that david cain did to cass, nor do i want to downplay cass’s experience as a victim. i drew this from a personal space so apologies if anyone was offended ^^

If I think about David Cain too long I feel sick. Cass was eight when she ran away. How young was she when he began shooting her? Four? Six? A tiny little child, shot and brutalised over and over again until she was desensitised so badly she didn't even flinch. Flinching means another bullet after all. She should have been playing with other kids and laughing and learning how to talk and instead she was getting chunks of skin and blood blown off by bullets her father shot at her. Sure she learned to enjoy the games later on, it was the only life she knew. But how distressing was the original learning curve. How many times did this child scream and wail in pain as he shot her until she realised there was nothing she could do to make him stop. Not until years later, when she's 17 and finally has the word he deprived her of.

the way that bruce is the one saying “i’ve got you” but it’s framed so prominently it looks like Cain is saying it. Bruce saying “i’ve got you” in words, Cain saying it with his expression, his body, the language he knows Cass understands. The way she sees this, sees the blood on her hands, and throws herself off the side of the building. he doesn’t have her and he never will again.
