Well, it's been a while since I've posted any fanfic... Let's change that.

Good news! I'm not dead! My brain did try to get me to do things that could unalive myself for a bit, and then I lost nearly an entire side of my family over the span of 3 years, but I'm still here and still kicking! And I have two new puppies who are adorable and so loving.

Now for this story, this is inspired by a few posts I saw on @theglamorousferal, mostly the one about Amity Parkers going to college in Gotham and buying a hotel (I'm making it a co-op student house, but I've never lived in one, so if something's unacceptably wrong, tell me, if not, artistic license), but also the one where our main Trio buy a building to set up shop there, and wind up adopted my Jason (I swear, I saw that post after I wrote the first chapter, but it just fit so well).

Honestly, Amity Park was weird long before the Fentons moved there- the original settlers named the nearby lake Eerie, and it wasn’t after the Great Lake.  It’s just that before the Fentons’ machine punched a hole through reality and created a permanent doorway to the land of spirits and ghosts, the weirdness was not as blatant.

Prior to that, Amity Parkers were some of the few that could move to Gotham without suffering a breakdown that was common for new arrivals.  Now there was a slight dip in newcomers for about a decade or two after the Bat made his debut and then the crazies that followed him, but then Amity Parkers got used to the spirits of the dead wandering around following the aforementioned punching through reality.

All this to say that Gotham Universities were a rather common destination for young Amity Park adults seeking higher education.

Now because of this, there were always apartments advertising themselves for people from the small town.  They, after all, tended to not have a breakdown after their fifth rogue attack and just pack up and leave halfway through their lease.  But it got very annoying having to sift through all the advertisements when looking for a place to stay- something Danny Fenton saw his older sister go through when she got in to Gotham City University.  The boy then shared what he was witnessing with his two best friends- Tucker Foley and Sam Manson.  Tucker offered to help filter out the spam, which Danny’s sister Jazz thanked him for but turned down.  Sam… Sam instead got thinking.

Sam had been to Gotham a few times in her life.  She had an idea of the areas closest to the schools and how much those should cost.  And looking at the letters Jazz was getting, the offers were a little too high for a regular college student to afford.  Sam was also familiar with how many hotels were not being used in Gotham- people building them in hopes tourists would come to stay while visiting the East Coast, tourists that could not be convinced to visit due to the high crime rate and the lack of activities or places of interest in the city itself.

She quickly went to work, looking in to these empty hotels.  She was rather upset by their numbers and put together a spreadsheet of them, with details like number of rooms, any amenities they may have, and nearby landmarks.  She then grabbed her two dorks and marched to Casper High’s Community Outreach director.

Now Sam’s presentation raised a few eyebrows, mostly because it was in a completely different state, but Sam shot back that because of the efforts to incorporate the town’s new ghostly residents and provide them with helpful ways to feed their obsessions- efforts led by the Fenton family- Amity Park had very few homeless, and those that were had a huge community safety net to help them get back on their feet.  Additionally, with how many people moved between the city and the town, helping the city could be argued to also be helping the town.

The Outreach Director just sighed and gave Same the green light to at least draft and send out a proposal to the powers that be in Gotham, saying that there wasn’t much that could be done before they got backing and approval.  Sam thanked them before leaving, Danny and Tucker trailing behind.

She was back the next day with a draft of her proposal and a list of who to send it to.

Since returning from the dead in the eyes of the public, Jason Todd was often contacted by groups trying to use the Wayne fortune to fund their own personal projects.  They thought Jason would be the easiest to con- sorry, persuade- since he was a former street kid unlike the rest of his family.  Thus surely he would know just how much this new building with low income housing would help the people of Gotham- it even came with a pool and gym!

Yeah, he did know how much the people of Gotham needed housing, but $2K a month was not affordable when you’re barely making $30K a year!  Oh and the pool and gym were only available for those who could shell out an additional $2K a month.  Jason knows, he read the whole document carefully.

God, sometimes it was hard to tell who was worse, the psychos in Blackgate or real estate investors.  And sadly, he couldn’t just pop a bullet in their heads and be done with it because 1) it would raise too many questions and 2) it would make Bruce get all sad and mopey- again.  Jason just did not have the mental energy to put up with that on top of the rest of his life as a crimelord/vigilante/long-lost adoptive second son of a billionaire.

All this to say, he was not impressed when he first glanced over a proposal to convert the unused hotels around the city into housing units- especially since it was from someone that did not live in Gotham.

Manson?  Wasn’t there a family with that name that would attend some of Brucie’s galas?  Oh yeah, their family made its fortune off patenting the machine that wrapped toothpicks in plastic, as well as a couple others.  And they had a daughter around Repla- Tim’s age.  Hopefully this wasn’t her trying to be a kiss-ass like her parents.

Jason finished reading and sat back.  The proposal wasn’t too bad.  Converting hotels into apartment buildings would be easier than office buildings, and the suggestion to use ex-convicts that wanted to turn over a new leaf as building managers certainly wasn’t the worst.  Also creating a fund for those that couldn’t afford rent, as well as community kitchens and gardens were certain plusses, though would need to have the right people in charge to make sure they actually worked as planned, and to keep the Court of Owls from messing with it.

Overall, it was something Jason would consider, after some research and maybe talking with the rest of the Bats and Birds.  And if this was from the Manson kid, maybe get Dickie or one of the others to talk to her next time there was a gala in town.  Or talk to her himself, if the Pit wasn’t too loud.

…Dick was probably the better option to talk with her if it came down to it.

Long Time-

Hello Guys, Gals and Nonbinary Pals! Sorry for...disappearing for a long ass time. I'm slowly getting back into writing. BUT- I'll be writing for DC now! Mostly Batman characters, most importantly..the ladies from the rouges gallery. I love me some Poison Ivy..ANYWAYS- That doesn't mean I'll stop writing for Hazbin. On the contrary, I will still be writing for all the wonderful characters but it will take the backseat for a bit at least. I got hella burned out on it for a while so, you can most definitely send in Requests for our fav Hazbin/Helluva characters. Just expanding my horizons. ALSO HAPPY SPOOPY MONTH!!!!

Konrad Curze is yeeted to Gotham instead of Nostromo

A child mysteriously appears on the streets of Gotham and beats the living daylights out of whichever lunatic tries to kill him before Batman finds him. Batman, perennial foster failure of orphans, promptly adopts him. Motivated by a thirst for justice and violence, Konrad sets out to become the best Robin there is, and succeeds with flying colors because he’s a super powered transhuman. Damien is pissed about being outdone. Tim nicknames him Konny. Dick steps in as the Angsty Child Whisperer to get him to calm the fuck down. Steph and Cass are too busy getting screwed by editorial to make an appearance. Batman realizes immediately that Konrad’s physiology is hella op and embarks on an epic, years-long storyline to figure out what the hell is going on. At least three origins are introduced and then retconned. Konrad angsts about how he’s a monster who doesn’t belong anywhere. Much drama is wrung from this.

The writers keep using Konrad’s visions to foreshadow that Konrad is destined to be A Baddie. This goes on long enough that you start to suspect that the writers will never actually follow through on all that foreshadowing. Finally the DCU magicians are called in for a crossover, and this fixes all of Konrad’s problems for a few years. Unfortunately the spoopy visions are too good a story hook and eventually they come back just in time for Konrad’s other Primarch capabilities to properly manifest. More angst ensues. Someone travels from a bad future where Konrad became the totalitarian dictator of Earth after he snapped and killed the Joker for doing a genocide (or nuking New York, or starting the Fourth Plague Pandemic, etc.). All of the visions suddenly start focusing on Evil Future Konrad and how he'll murder people for jaywalking and it’s all very tragic.

Konrad flips the fuck out over his evil destiny just in time for the annual giant crossover event where Trigon or Darkseid or some other extradimensional monster invades. It might actually be good but the damn thing is spread out over multiple books and you don’t want to buy them all, so you ignore the missing chunks and just focus on the cooler splash pages of kickass fights. Konrad is nearly tempted to do An Evil but at the last second he is pulled back from the brink by the teachings of Batman, and possibly by the baddie gratuitously killing a popular B-list character. Instead he strikes the decisive blow and saves the day. Much rejoicing is had, and Konrad finally bids farewell to his evil destiny in a heartwarming scene where he is surrounded by the Batfamily. All is well in the DCU.

Five years later all of his character development is thoroughly destroyed when a writer decides he needs a shocking new villain.

Konrad fans lose their goddamn minds. Think pieces are written on all of the geek websites, Tumblr churns out discourse, Reddit churns out circlejerks, 4chan churns out gross memes, but somehow the worst takes all come from Twitter X. It’s chaos, absolute chaos, and honestly you’re kind of tired of it all, and the latest Batman cartoon looks pretty good, so you take a break from comics and just get your fix that way. Much later, you run across a drama write-up, which makes you wonder, whatever happened to Konrad Curze? You look him up on the DC wiki…but he’s gone. Vanished. Disappeared, just as mysteriously as he first appeared. It’s almost as if some mysterious entity whisked him away. A million theories circulate, but no one ever knows for sure.

The grim darkness of the far future may only contain war, but hey, at least it’s simple.

Tim Drake: All Hallows’ Night

A/N: I’ve been waiting all year for this and love the Halloween story ideas and I hope you all do too.

🎃: Tim encounters a ghostly presence in the manner but it turns out you’re more than the folktales let on.

Once upon a time, there was a mysterious ancient house. It was in the rumours, the city speculations and old wives tales that ghosts thrived in Wayne Manor. Of course, all that once lived there or continued to do so were no stranger to these mysteries although the current residents thought nothing of such folk lores as they had no proof to suggest otherwise and thus paid no attention to unusual tendencies.

That was at least until Timothy Drake had one eventful Halloween, one he would not soon forget. At first the odd occurrences weren't given a second thought, objects falling from shelves and peculiar echoes in the hallways were all a normal day to Tim, the single soul in the Manor at the time. That is until he returned to the Bat Computer, scrolling through the research he'd compiled linking to the newest case of underground dealings.

"Definitely a mobster, I'm thinking Penguin to be honest."

"Yes, it certainly matches his usual pattern." The vigilante replied without hesitation to whomever had commented on his case file despite being alone in the Manor that night.

"..."

"..."

It was an eery silence, one like no other, despite his focused state, Red Robin had realised the impossibility of having an unfamiliar voice answer the silence.

"Who the flip?!”

With his delayed startling, the stranger laughed, Tim scrambling to his feet only to find an unusual presence perched on the desk of the computer next to where he once sat.

"You're Tim Drake right?" Of course, the male was too bewildered to answer the unwelcome intruder, simply nodding whilst pointing his bo staff.

"I'm (Y/n) (L/n) by the way, thanks for asking."

"How did you get in here? The security systems are top of the range, they would've informed me of your access." He was astounded, tilting his head out of curiosity yet retained the offensive stance.

"Guess they're on the brink huh? No need to worry though mate, I mean you no harm~" The (h/c) beauty grinned with a wicked smile, offering out a hand for Tim to shake. The hero smiled in response, though still wary, met theirs in greeting - however instantly backed away upon doing so, their hands never met, instead his passed straight through (Y/n)'s own.

"Well then, I suppose you have your answer about security now." The entity smiled, hopping off of the counter and strolling towards him.

"What on earth are you?"

"Hmm, technically at this point in time I'm a ghost, wandering spirit? Although phantom has more finesse to it, wouldn't you agree?" The intruder brought a hand to their chin in thought before directing a smile toward him.

"I um, what?" Tim stared in confusion, closing his eyes as a break from the newest shreds of weird information.

"Oh no, you know what? Spectre has a nice ring to it too."

"No, I mean... wait, does that mean the stories are true? Wayne Manor is haunted? By you?" Tim was full of questions, just as expected by this latest phenomenon.

"For tonight it is, and for the unforeseeable future I'm afraid. Don't get me wrong, I had the full intention of keeping to myself but it's incredibly boring and this case seemed like a viable distraction." Was carefully explained, gesturing to the computer with a mischievous glint to their eyes much to Tim's fascination.

"Okay. Alright. Sure. For the sake of my sanity I'm not going to argue with a ghost... (Y/n)." Tim shook his head, once again sitting at his computer.

"Ah you're my favourite Robin already." Came the hearty response, the entity leaning on the back of Tim's chair as he scrolled through. They bounced ideas off of each other, methodology, motive, the next areas to strike and soon enough Tim was clad in his uniform readying to disappear into the night. The unlikely pair walked together towards the exit, planning a strategy on dealing with the Penguin and had the intent to carry it out - until Tim walked through the exit and the spirit clashed with an invincible force, curses spewing from their lips.

Red Robin was once again beside them, opting to offer physical comfort before he phased past them and had to settle for verbal inquiries.

"What happened? Is it some sort of barrier?"

"Damnit Constantine, tethering me to Wayne Manor of all places. Dumbass sorcerer..." It was only faint frustrated mutterings but explained your situation rather adequately.

"I'll take that as a yes."

"I haven't been completely honest with you, but in my defence you didn't ask. I'm verging between the spirit and living world and I'm relying on John bloody Constantine to pull me back from this purgatory. And since it's Halloween I'm guessing my spirit can manifest." The entity gave an exasperated sigh, rolling their eyes at the mention of their comrade.

"That's a lot to take in (Y/n), wheres Constantine now? I can go and lend my assistance, maybe I can -"

"No Tim, you have to help Gotham. You've known me no more than a couple of hours, you have more important matters to deal with." Despite their previous remarks it was obvious they had trust in Hellblazer and didn’t wish for their circumstance to interfere with Robins’ duties.

"Maybe so, but I'd like to think a couple of hours is enough to say you’re not so bad. I can't help but wonder what it'd be like meeting you in person." Tim wittily replied, raising a brow in their direction.

"Maybe one day, until then I'll stick to haunting."

"Hey RR, who are you talking to?" Dick Graysons voice rebounded off of the walls to the cave, Tim directing his gesture to his latest accomplice only to catch a glimpse of static where they'd once stood.

"Uh- no one..."

"Hah, for a second there I thought you were going to say a ghost. Anyway, I got an update on that case of yours."

(Y/n)'s presence lingered for a while after Halloween although it was not as strong as then, but there were the little quirks that Tim noticed around the Manor.

'Nice job solving the case detective~'

Was written on the dusty surface of the attic during one of his ventures, foggy windows also held innocent scrawling of which Tim happily replied to whether out loud or with his own scribbles.

Then there was the peculiar static on his TV if he ever watched it between 00:00-1:00am, one he'd grown to value.

"Hey Timbers.”

"Ah you're back, and still haunting the place I see." The male looked up from his laptop, crossing his legs and smiled at the TV.

"Yeah well Constantine is apparently taking his sweet time." The image of the spectre was slightly blurred and flicked every so often but remained viewable.

"He told me what you did to end up here y'know." He’d referred to the call he’d made a few days ago inquiring about the odd circumstance and if he could assist.

"He's lying." It was a confident and quick reply, (Y/n) unwilling to discuss such matters.

"About sacrificing yourself to bring them all back from Hell? Despite not being in the vigilante game?" Red Robin elaborated further, knowing a majority of the details beforehand.

"Yup, so hard to believe it must be a lie."

"Why did you-"

"Because they're my friends, they helped me out and I took on some damn demon curse to save them. Anyway, who are we looking into tonight partner?" With a brief smile, Tim flipped the computer screen in their direction as a visual response.

Tim also took to using the radio frequently whenever he was alone, making it easier for the  invisible resident to communicate with him.

"I miss food so much, it's rude of you to constantly eat in front of me you know."

"True but take out is just so amazing, I wanted to share the experience." He was being incredibly dramatic purely to get on his friends nerves though his playful side was rather endearing.

"I hate you right now." The guest replied, the radio crackling as a physical display of their words.

"Alright, alright, when you're back to normal I'm taking you out to dinner on me." Boy wonder instantly caved, but was truly sincere about his statement.

"Are you sure you can spare enough time to do that detective? Won't Gotham crumble without you?" The spectres sarcasm was heard even through the radio, and if he could see their expression Tim would bet they wore a smirk.

"I'll always take time out for you like I do now, but you have a point - I guess we'll have to take down some crime rings before dessert." It was accompanied by a shrug yet (Y/n) was grateful for his words none the less.

"Dinner and a show, I like it."

However it wasn't long before these daily instances Tim looked so forward to seemed nonexistent, the TV displayed the news without any interference, windows remained untouched of meaningful notes and the radio soon lost its appeal. Constantine was unreachable leaving Tim with no inclination as to what happened to the illusive guest and it seemed his family members noticed the sudden deterioration of his mood but chose not to pry quite yet.

It had been a week or two by his count, and he was currently packing for Titans Tower, shifting through his belongings and paperwork.

"Hey stranger, whatcha doing?" The voice held addictive familiarity, clearer to what it had been before, and due to this Tim answered like nothing had changed.

"I'm moving to Titans Tower, the Team thought it’d help our teamwork and I honestly can't wait."

"Hmm, when do you leave?" Their lovely tone held a hint of disappointment but was masked well for anyone but a detective.

"I'm aiming for this weekend, but don't worry I'll come back as often as I can to see you." He took a brief glance to the standing figure, lifting a box and walking straight through like he usually did purely to mess with them.

However, he hit a solid surface, the giggle following his actions causing him to almost drop his belongings but fortunaly the previously thought-to-be ghost stabled it with ease.

"Cool, I'll be able to visit you as well. But do you think you've got time for that dinner first? I'm starving after actually bypassing Manor security and climbing through your window." His realisation bringing a smug grin to (Y/n)’s lips as they finished.

“I- you- you’re back?”

“Yep, in the flesh although there’s some nice side effects... Nothing major though.”

“C’mon you’re telling me everything, the Manor is free tonight so how about take out and a movie?”

“Lead the way detective.”

Tim did so, however as the pair passed a hallway the former ghost halted before a beautiful oil painting and gently straightened the frame then turning to the questioning expression of Drake.

“Oh, it’s a half a centimetre off balance and it’s been winding up the ghost of the Manor for years. I promised to fix it once I returned.” (Y/n) nonchalantly explained, smirking as she passed an awestruck vigilante.

“...Ghost?”

“Who do you think told me about all your identities? Also, according to my recent conversation with the ghost, apparently you missed me Timbers~”

“Of course I did but how do you know that?!”

“Side effects, but don’t worry I missed you too.”

(Y/n) remained cursed for the rest of her mortal life, to become a spectre as the clock strikes, marking the Witching Hour for every Hallows' Eve to come until the festival was up.

"The End." You dramatically finished, accompanied by a spooky hand gesture for emphasis as you enjoyed the warm glow of the campfire.

The fellow hero's seated on surrounding logs remained silent for a few moments before cheering, thoroughly enthralled in the tale you bestowed upon them as per tradition of Halloween night.

"That's one hell of a story (Y/n), and basing the characters off of yourself and Tim was genius!" Cassie complimented, standing up with sheer delight as you smiled.

"Way to put a twist on a classic horror story telling, never would've thought of something like that." Conner nodded in approval, proudly smirking at the exchange of smiles between yourself and your boyfriend.

Tim sat beside you, nudging your shoulder out of the playful knowing you both shared and of course what came with the success of your tale. The chime of the cities bell tower echoed in the distance and with it you stood before your fellow hero's who had no intention of sleeping quite yet and wished them a good night. Tim followed your lead, gently brushing his fingers with yours as you strolled back to your room for the evening as the Team watched you both disappear into the eery night exchanging playful remarks.

But... if they had just looked a little closer....

Taken more notice...

Maybe they would have caught how Tim's digits effortlessly phased through your own as the witching hour had begun...

{{ Hello! I saw on a reblogged ask that you'd figured out a timeline between the TTG issues and the TT'03 cartoon? Might I ask if you've ever shared how that timeline goes? Could you point me to it? And if not, I'm still super curious about your thoughts on how that goes! 8O

RIGHT! So.

What I did to figure out the rough timeline was use the TTG! issues that are explicitly set on certain holidays (Valentine's Day, Christmas, Halloween) as reference points for time passage.

We have three Valentine's Days issues (#4, #27, #39), two Christmas issues (#25, #37), one Halloween issue (#13).  So right off the bat we have a rough period of about three/four years for the duration of the show and the TTG! issues that explicitly happen afterwards. From there it was a matter of figuring out where certain episodes and issues fell based on context clues--”Revolution“ obviously happens 4th of July and seems to be Starfire’s first, “Date With Destiny“ is most likely April or May since it takes place at Prom and most high schools do prom at the end of the school year, TTG! #27 mentions the True Master so it must be set after “The Quest”, etc. etc. I did wind up having to move a couple of the TTG! issues around since they didn’t fit but only three, #13 (the Halloween issue), #40A (two-story issue, second story recounts from a time when Jinx was still with the HIVE) and #45 (since Cyborg and Sarasim get back together in that issue but were shown already back together in TTG! #39).

Everything else can be presumed to proceed in chronological fashion.

I’ve included my little timeline graphic, plotted with the episodes/issues that have “hard” dates, as in we know exactly when they happen.

And here’s my rough approximation of a couple key significant episodes/issues and the overall seasons, as well as those few shuffled exceptions I mentioned.

Red: Season 1

Yellow: Season 2

Blue: Season 3

Purple: Season 4

Green: Season 5

Orange: “Extra” season, TTG! issues that continue past Season 5

Notes:

“Birthmark” (S4E3) reeks of Dangerous Sixteenth Birthday and also appears to be Raven’s first celebrated with the Titans.  I like to headcanon her birthday in October (because spoopy season), October 13th to be exact, because it allows the most time between Year Zero and Year Two for four whole seasons of the show.  By necessity this means that Season 2 and Season 3 of Teen Titans happen mostly over the summer of Year One.

Season 3 of Teen Titans being in summer of Year One also fits with “Revolution” being Starfire’s first 4th of July with the Ttians.

As previously mentioned, “Date With Destiny” (S2E6) takes place in prom season, so Season 2 taking up the early part of summer of Year One also fits.

"Date With Destiny” marks the first appearance of the R-cycle, which means Robin is 16 by then, as that’s the earliest one can have a legal motorcycle license.  (Though Robin has a motorcycle in TTG! #4 it’s an early design, possibly what he was learning on while waiting to take his official test.  It would make sense to celebrate getting his license with building a new custom cycle.)

Robin’s birthday (according to DC Comics’s Robin Annual #4) is “the first day of spring”.  So either March 20 or March 21.  Leaving room for the earlier episodes of Season 2, this means that Robin was 15 when Slade kidnapped him in the “Apprentice” finale (S1E12).  What a bastard.

With Season 1 of Teen Titans ending in March, I straddled the beginning of Season 1 back into Year Zero, with “Sisters” (S1E2) happening on or adjacent to New Year’s because of the fireworks.

“Go!” (S5E10) would have therefore happened sometime between October (Raven’s birthday) and December (start of Season 1), to allow time for the Tower to be built.  I stuck it nebulously in early November but I’m flexible on this date.

“Nevermore” (S1E6) would be sometime mid January to late February.  I put it earlier to allow time for the other episodes of Season 1.  For poetic sake I put “The End” finale (S4E11) exactly one year later.

(Also because Cyborg and Sarah’s relationship is strained from lack of contact in the Valentine’s Day TTG! #27 and it would make the most narrative sense for that issue to take place right after the whole craziness of Season 4.)

“Things Change” (S5E13) has Terra in school, enough time having passed that she’s already taking a test, so I put it at the end of August.  Season 5 takes the longest amount of narrative time, consequently, most of Year Two.  It could theoretically be longer, pushing “Things Change”, Beast Boy’s birthday in TTG! #28, Cyborg and Sarah’s reconciliation in TTG! #45, and the first clear post-Brotherhood unfreezing issue TTG! #33 all back into October/November, but I thought I’d leave some breathing room between TTG! #33 and the Christmas issue TTG! #37.

Valentine’s Day issue #39 takes place literally right on the heels of Trouble In Tokyo.  Literally, Larry is so happy about Robin and Starfire getting together that he decides to steal cupid’s arrows and make other Titans fall in love too.  So Trouble in Tokyo is mid February of Year Three.

TTG! #50 is called “Graduation Day” so for poetics sake I stuck it late May, when most school years end.  TTG! #51 is also therefore late May since it has Terra still in school.  TTG! #55, the end of the comic run, has big summer vibes (a barbecue party at Dayton Manor is twice mentioned) so could be anywhere in June/July.

Various Titans we met in “Winner Take All” (Speedy, Wildebeest, Hot Spot) make appearances starting from TTG! #14.  Speedy was the first, and his appearance is very much per-assignment to Titans East.  So I placed TTG! #14 at the beginning of when Season 3 would start.

I just kind of stuck TTG! #40A in there because it’s after “Mother Mae-Eye” (See-More and Private Hive are on the HIVE Five) and feels like a breather moment between Season 4 and Season 5.

1. I have a tendency to scare people at my job, intentionally or otherwise. If a horror movie was playing, it was actually a fun game for me to stand in the hallway leading outside an auditorium so someone coming out of the movie would see this five-foot-four gremlin chonk off-center framed in shadow all spoopy-like. Out of thirteen successful spooks, my favorite instance of this was after a showing of the first Paranormal Activity: the couple coming out saw me and they both jumped up the wall screaming. All in good fun.

2. Also work-related (fortuitous that my theater is reopening tomorrow! Whoo!), I have a small collection of lighters found from cleaning the auditoriums. Among the other items found during cleanup: various alcohol including an entire six-pack of beer finished before 5 o’clock, chewing tobacco, an entire unopened two-liter bottle of Coke, condoms, a pocket knife, a literal shiv, and a discarded pair of lacy blue panties. I wish this last thing was found in an appropriately sexy movie like The Shape of Water, but alas.

3. For a period of time I had Joe Del Beato as a comic art teacher. He’s an inker and cover artist, has worked with both Marvel and DC, and did artwork for the G.I. Joe toy line. Cool guy, easy to get along with.

I’ve had this idea for a while of a true crime SSO podcast, where the idea is two SSO characters (Made up and voice-acted by me and someone else) that aren’t involved in the main story sit down and talk about all the weird shit going on in Jorvik, like the rock slide on Jasper’s farm and what spoopy ghost/DC conspiracy is behind it, who the ghost of the Firgrove race is and the people who have seen it, cryptic monsters lurking in the greendale forest and other stories, with a similar format to Buzzfeed Unsolved or Loey Lane.

I don’t know if SSO is so protective of their brand that they would dislike a podcast about SSO, especially of a podcast essentially inventing lore for their game, but I think it’d be a really cool thing to test out and I’m guessing this post is just to get someone else’s opinion if this seems like a neat idea or is super lame. And also if someone else has a good mic, is interested in the topic and would want to develop it with me? 

Like those are a lot of requirements and I get that not everyone would want to take time out of their busy schedule for something that might crash and burn and they will probably not make money on, I don’t expect anyone at all to step up to the plate and want to do this with me, I’m just throwing this idea out there and I want to see if people would at least be interested in listening to it.

Harry tells him he’s overly cautious, but look at her. A destroyed marriage, her job at risk and the neighbours beginning to look at her a bit funny. They’re both susceptible. If John is too strict on himself – which he isn’t – it’s only because there’s no one else to keep him in line. As a doctor, he can’t help but see it as more than an act of indulgence. This is a moral issue.

All the same, when his patients at the surgery begin to show up anaemic and sporting someone else’s bite marks, John is more angry and possessive than he is sickened.

He may not hunt on his territory, but that will never mean he’s not ready to defend it.

FC: Hannibal Lecter is a monster, but this isn’t a horror movie, and I don’t mean that literally. I’m sure there is some perfectly reasonable explanation for everything that’s happening here.

Roy always felt like a rough hewn bit of cedar plank next to them, ruddy and freckled with thick stripes of pink scars and one crooked tooth that matched the mess of his nose. He looked at the picture, looked at where Jason had been and where he'd disappeared. Finding Jason was why he was here.
