GOOD MORNING! here is my attempt to recap everything we've found so far on deltarune.com

for those unaware, last night toby released a new newsletter giving information about deltarune's release date. he also released a clip of an alternate ending for the sweepstakes for if silence would've been chosen instead of freedom. (for those even MORE unaware, the spamton sweepstakes were a 2022 2-day event raising money for a charity where all sorts of hidden pages were shown on the DR website.

now, my (and many other people's) immediate reaction to seeing this, as well as this passage in the newsletter,

was that surely the site had been updated with some new content. and it has, a lot of it! and so this is my attempt to document everything so far.

/sweepstakes/silence/

this page features this short video revealing the alternate ending for the sweepstakes. in it, spamton a. spamton is simply wiped out of existence. not that exciting, but fun to see!

the page also includes a barren version of the main /sweepstakes website, with all the text deleted.

HOWEVER! at the bottom of this page, we can see two links. both of these lead to pages already found in the ORIGINAL run of the sweepstakes.

the rest of this will be under the cut, to avoid spoilers for those interested in exploring the site themselves.

/code

this page is accessible by clicking on the purple square. it was originally found from the main sweepstakes page, on the listing for noelles "fur-thentic cardboard box" from chapter 2. this link leads to the /catpetterz page of noelle's blog, which explains how the Cat Petterz 2 breeding system works. it ends in "Until one day..." which leads to /egg, continuing the story on the previous page. the link at end of /egg brings you to /code, which links back to /egg.

nothing seems to be actually changed on this version of the site, and it only serves as a way to get you back onto /egg.

this page has all the same text as the 2022 version of the site did, with one exception: the text "secret cats" is now a link! this link leads to /rain.

/rain

this page is an as of yet unseen post from noelle's blog. she describes the experience of staying home from school because of the rain, and a friend coming over to play cat petters. this friend is called "she," making it unlikely to be kris, and as this story takes place in her childhood, it's unlikely to be susie. the postscript says that her friend came over because "she thought that means that I was going to pet HER," which makes me think it might've been catti? if anyone else has any theories, let me know.

the rest of the page discovers another one of noelle's strange cat petters glitches. her "guide to the rarities of different cats" includes "blue ora (aura?)," "rock & roll," and "angle wing" and "super holy angle wing" are listed at 0% and 00000% respectively. another addition to the pile of mysterious connections between noelle and angel symbolism....

she also describes finding a cat that "lowered the amounts of point she had," making her die immediately. the MOST significant thing on this page by far though is a link to "try it yourself," which leads to a simulation of the cat petters minigame she described.

/rarecats

this page links to a cat collecting minigame. one of these green dancing cats will bounce around the screen like the DVD logo, and clicking on it gives an amount of points. the tab title simply displays the number of points so far.

this cat gives 10 points. it's probably the "normal" cat that noelle describes.

this cat seems to be an even more powered version of the other two angel cats. it may be possible to get in game with even smaller odds, but since noelle's page only lists 2 "angle cats" i think it's unlikely.

this is a png of the yellow and pink smile that appears in spamton's basement. the inclusion of it here suggests to me that it is in fact some kind of "cheshire cat" character/allusion, like people have theorized before!

this page is simply the stained glass window sprite from /rarecats looped over and over. the tab title reads "Are you forgetting something?" each of these links to a page with the words "forest" "grow" "lost" "the" "where" and "would," in seemingly random order. an example of a few of these are

this page contains an image of a tree, overlayed with an edited version of the water image that seems to be a recurring motif in deltarune, used most recently in "jockington grows the beard". clicking on it plays a solemn piano chord. after clicking a few times, it instead links to /window. the tab title reads "ROOTS."

this page contains the same repeating stained glass windows as /window did. the tab title once again reads "Are you forgetting something?" this time, each links to page with the letters "cdeehhilnooprrt", in seemingly random order. an example of a few of these are

once again, only one of them leads anywhere.

/thepoorchildren

this page is another black screen. this time, you have the ability to draw with the mouse. clicking creates a trail of white squares. the tab title reads "Therapy".

drawing in the middle of the image for around a minute causes a sprite of the "egg room" tree to slowly fade in.

after drawing for a bit, the tree will move to the front and become clickable. clicking on this just returns you to the /egg page mentioned earlier.

as far as i can see, this is everything to be found on the "noelle's blog" side of updates, the ones accessible from the purple square. unfortunately, tumblr has a limit for how many images i can include in a post, so the stuff from the other link i will include in a reblog! be sure to check it out, it's where stuff gets REALLY crazy!

Stupid Toby Fox making me go back to the Sweepstakes page and looking all over it AGAIN. Damn him. I made an entire word document where everything is listed with its exact location, with links and file names so this doesn't happen to me again.

HOLY CRAP ITS 1am EST AND TOBY HAS DROPPED THE NEWS LETTER PEEPS!

Arguably most important to all of this there's a bunch for new stuff on, of all places, the SPAMTON SWEEPSTAKES PAGES?!

Stuff that has been found (courtesy of Shayy on YT and some digging myself) includes:

-A new holidaygirl blog post mentioning Catty

deltarune.com/rain is the url

-The post links to a cat petterz game which after clicking on a bunch of the cats unlocks a stain glass window a la chapter 4

The url ending is /windows, and the tab name is "Aren't you forgetting something"

-That itself leads to a long hallway of identical windows that can be arrow-keyed through, the windows containing a scrambled word url that unmixed to 'lostwheretheforestwouldgrow'

-THAT url leads to a tree that looks exactly like the "Jockington Grows The Beard" image but its a tree. The tab it labeled as Roots. Clicking the tree plays a tone. DOUBLE clicking brings you back to the windows hall BUT-

-The urls are now different. Each one now ends with a different url ending of a scrambled word that one of the windows unscrambles to "thepoorchildren', alongside a new version of dog_check (plus one samba version on the second window to the right)

-The poor children window, tab labeled as 'therapy' is a simple cursor drawing app, that after enough time uncovers THE FRICKING EGG TREE. That just leads back to the egg post from young Noelle from a while back.

How Shayy found the following, I dunno, but these also exsist:

-the url of /romb leads to a cupboard, with the tab label as "No one will shed a tear for him". Clicking the cupboard reveals the text:

"If only you had the _____, your luck might have gone another way. No ____, no Crystal"

The blank spaces play a new sfx when clicked.

-Going to the url /chapter5 brings some weird stuff, literally. There are a series of numbers (2, 4, and 5) of different sizes. 2 is the largest, the 5, then 4, but were 3 would be is clickable. The following:

-2 plays the SNOWGRAVE BERDLY FIGHT SONG??

-the empty 3 space plays the same sfx from the /romb crystal dialogue.

-4 has a practically invisible box that when pressed leads to a page called /message, which itself leads to a bunch more invisible boxes that play either e.mp3 or m.mp3, which seem to just be a reversed and normal version of each other.

-5 plays a guitar melody called h.mp3 (DESS?!)

IN THE PROCESS OF WRITING THIS I FOUND SOMETHING ELSE! Typing in /chapter1 gives just the words "not applicable". /chapter2 gives "applicable". /chapter3 gives 'not applicable'. /chaper4 is the message room, and 5 is the initial link.

This is refering to the weird routes, isn't it?

No weird route in chapter 1 (not applicable), major weird route in chapter 2 (really big number on /chapter5, 'applicable' and snowgrave theme), no weird route on chapter 3 (literally no number on /chapter5 and 'not applicable'). So following this, 4 and 5 will have weird routes, with Dess perhaps being relevant in chapter 5's?? I also have a sneeking suspision that the new sfx relates to Toriel. Why? Its the sfx that plays in the /chapter2 weird route pages, and it also plays during the Crystal space earlier. Do I have more concrete evidence? Nope.

Why are A CYBER'S WORLD and WELCOME TO THE CITY... Like That?

I know now is a weird time to come down with Deltarune Brain-Wormes (affectionate), but as is always the case when I come down with the Brain-Wormes, I rewatched the Andrew Cunningham video on Gaster's Theme, as if this time I'd make a new connection that somehow eluded me all six or so times before. Except... this time, I actually did realize something!

For context, Andrew identifies a Gaster's Theme reference in Welcome to the City with "low-ish" probability of brainrot, ie a relatively reliable quote of the leitmotif — and he finds this mildly vexing, as did I. Because Scarlet Forest has a very strong Gaster quote, and that makes two consecutive "second areas" in Dark Worlds with Gaster-y music, yet no clear thematic connection to the good doctor — unless you presume Gaster to be the egg man, who appears in both areas — but then A Cyber's World immediately quashes that connection, by sharing the Gaster-adjacent melody that Welcome to the City has, and we all know Cyber Field has no egg man.

So, like... that clearly begs the question, what's up with that? Waiter, there's some Gaster in my Cyber World! Is this not a reliable Gaster's Theme sighting after all? Did Toby just let it slide in by accident?

Well, I don't think so. And upfront, I don't actually have a lore explanation for the Gaster hints. But I do have evidence that Toby did it on purpose, for some reason — and that we might need to pay more attention to Cyber Field and Cyber World going forward. Because, I mean, just look at this:

I don't even know where to begin with the weirdness of these two tracks, as they appear on the soundtrack. I mean, they're capitalized! They're the only capitalized tracks from Chapter 2 that aren't Spamton-related!

Gaster talks in all caps! The secret bosses, which are rife with musical and textual Gaster references in their own right, talk in all caps! The only Chapter 1 tracks in caps are Another Him, The World Revolving, and The Holy! Almost as Gaster-y as you can get! Yet while we're back in the Card Kingdom, neither Field of Hopes and Dreams, nor Scarlet Forest, are in all caps! So why are their analogues?

And if that wasn't weird enough... Cyber Field and Cyber City have the sixth and seventeenth track, respectively! You know, like stats of 666, like fun values in the 60s? Like Entry Number 17? Chapter 1's sixth and seventeenth track, Cliffs and Checker Dance, are neither in caps nor otherwise reeking of Gaster! Genuinely, what the hell is going on here?

...Did Toby literally just happen to notice these tracks were 6th and 17th respectively, and throw in the caps to fuck with us? The Gaster motif sightings make me seriously doubt it. And the fact that Kris and Susie's first foray into the Cyber World, walking on green platforms that by all means look identical to the Cyber Field proper is suspiciously silent, with no sign of the Cyber Field theme — until Queen shows up with two whole tracks, ensuring A Cyber's World gets pushed back to Track 6 — well, it could absolutely just be to build an unsettling atmosphere while the player is presumably disoriented. But there's so many Gaster-colored flags here that it needs to be examined, right?

The only other thing I can think of is how Gaster really put emphasis on "fields" in the Chapter 2 announcement... but that doesn't explain why Field of Hopes and Dreams isn't equally suspicious, nor account for the weirdness of Cyber City:

Truly, I don't know. This seems like something we might not be able to solve with the information we have as of Chapter 2, but it's simultaneously hard to leap to that conclusion when this doesn't even look that much like a recurring pattern from Chapter 1. Is Gaster or a related entity naming these tracks — like how Gaster names certain "devices" in the code all caps, for things like the Goner Maker sequence? I mean, maybe, but then why? I have more questions than answers.

In summary, I guess... you know how Deltarune showed us that in hindsight, Waterfall in Undertale had been really freaking suspicious, in some ways we recognized but other ways that were right under our noses? I just think that Cyber Fiend and Cyber City might wind up in a similar position, after future Deltarune chapters.

I made a Secret Boss based on @mrchaosman 's recent 'Jekyll and Hyde Theory'

)! I had originally only planned to send this in mrchaosman's DMs, but just like what happened with the Fawnne and Chef Pizzato post, I wanted to present this publicly as well!

Presenting Moddeux (whose name is pronounced like 'Modder' based on the French word 'deux' describing the two halves, as well as being based on the portmanteau of 'Je Kill' in Jekyll's Name), a questionably-respectable Darkner ACTing as the revealed writer of the mysterious Valentine's Day Card.

Similarly to the original Jekyll and Hyde Theory post, the Secret Boss is inspired by IMAGE_FRIEND and https://deltarune.com/chair (which could potentially be a parallel to Jekyll's Cabinet in regards to Moddeux), with the heterochromia being explained as the two halves FIGHTing to be the one in control.

However, the themes of fire and burning are additionally displayed because of the burnt cheque book described in the original Jekyll and Hyde novel, as well as the knowledge of the Original Draft being scrapped and left to burn in a fireplace.

I also created Overworld Sprites for Moddeux's different appearances which hopefully appear somewhat Deltarune-Accurate in style to compare Jevil and Spamton!

Noelle's blog page (/kris_dreemurr_kris/) about "a concert just for me" has the audio of the song that plays when unlocking the Delta Rune door in the Dark Sanctuary.

("Concert for you," which is notably on the OST despite lasting 2 seconds, is the Kris-won't-play-for-you keysmash.)

/secret had the embarrassing pipis cabinet, Ralsei plush, AND friend chair that distorted with darkness. We had all the pieces all along. How did we not predict chapters 3 and 4 with hints like that, folks.

oh okay I understand how divorced spamton and tenna are now that I've seen the wedding ring linking to /d_a_m_n_y_o_u_t_e_n_n_a/

Staticky "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!? YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE!!" on the Tenna page leads you to pure blue with the ocean sound from sailing out of bounds/to the ice key door and to /ramb. Pretty straightforward in retrospect lol

idk if anyone’s come up with this theory yet but i think that all the links on deltarune.com/chapter5 foreshadow what’s to come in terms of weird route stuff - and not just what chapter’s the weird route is applicable in based on the number's colors

like while the number 2 leads to d.mp3 which is exclusive to the weird route, number 3 plays ma.mp3 which seems to be related to the secret boss fight based on /romb and could possibly allude to the shadow mantle (or lack of it thereof) being something that further impacts the aftermath of snowgrave despite not having an actual weird route in the chapter indicated by its number being darkened. the number 4 is visible on the page and leads to the chapter 4 page and by extent the chapter 4 thank you page with the email submissions, which is weirdly reminiscent of the initial survey_program launch and the tweet toby made soon after that said “thank you for your responses,” which makes me think we might get vessel-related stuff in chapter 4’s weird route, potentially hinting towards how our actions are game-breaking and absurd (we probably won't see the vessel itself cuz i feel like if the vessel were to appear it would be endgame stuff). and number 5, also visible, plays h.mp3 which is a guitar cover of one of the leitmotifs in a town called hometown, and since guitars are associated with dess we may come close to finding her through the weird route.

if we assume that dess is trapped in a dark world or potentially deltarune’s code based on the unused text lines in the game’s files, it would make sense that we might be able to brute force our way into finding her by using noelle, who has a knack for finding glitches and secrets in games, and snowgrave is like clearly a path we’re not meant to take or have happen. and with the emphasis on the fact “the game has only one ending” and “our choices don't matter” the weird route as a whole could be a way for the player to circumvent the narrative by finding dess through ways we aren’t meant to - though i don't know if we’ll be able to like, actually save her.

i don't necessarily think we won't find dess in the normal route, but we might find some shortcut way of finding her in the game's code that at first seems like a better way to save her, and we want to help dess escape, don't we? and even if it requires us to manipulate noelle and kill her friend, it's still worth trying, isn't it?

and maybe the message toby wants to send with the weird route is like....yeah you can do all this game breaking stuff to potentially change the narrative and save dess, but is it really worth it when you burn down multiple bridges to get there and harm everyone involved in the process?

there’s probably like several holes in the theory i said and my sleep deprived ass didn't bother fully explaining some stuff but also i don't have enough brain cells for this so feel free to agree or disagree

The sound button plays a Christmas-themed song, similar to jingle bells. If the number after smartgenius’s user is called, it simply gives an invalid number message, as it’s a fake one.

The second door leads you to a picture of plush Ralsei, and the website is titled “You won!” The seventh door leads to a picture of PIPIS, and is titled “You lost!” The 12th door leads to a picture of an empty gumball machine, and too, says that you won. Door 13 gives you this image, and says you won:

The final door in this section of the website is the 15th, which redirects you to https://deltarune.com/chair/. It’s a blue chair, and when clicked on, it gets all glitchy and an ominous sound effect plays. The website title turns from “But what if it could…” to “… get darker than dark?” Occasionally, if you click it enough, there will be a Spamton eye jumpscare, and the page will close out on itself. When you exit back to the doors page, it’s titled, “You won?”

Oh boy. Mid-post, I stumbled upon about 50 more website redirects. Save me. This next website thread is gonna be a long one, and credit to my friend Rogul for finding it.

When you click on the first shirt in the prizes section, there’s a blue link. It’ll lead you to:

It seems to be a lonely door in the dark until clicked on, where all the lights turn on and you’re in the Green Room.

When the right door is clicked, it leads you to https://deltarune.com/tv/. The website title is “* It’s off.” and supposedly, there is no way to interact with it.

When the left door is clicked, it leads you to https://deltarune.com/weather/. This includes two new character sprites, and when clicked, it shows this, along with a repeating GIF of them swinging their spears:

The title is “(Private…), and when the bath curtain is clicked, it comes up with one of the shadow men screaming in surprise before immediately closing the curtain again. Occasionally, it comes up with a rotating Lancer, and when he is clicked, it redirects to https://deltarune.com/lancer/. This is the equivalent of a Lancer rickroll. Thanks, Toby. When the shadow man is clicked on while the curtain is open, it gives this video at https://deltarune.com/shadowmen/: (I can’t upload the video since I’m posting outside of Beta, but it’s a fight between the fun gang and shadow men. You have to, quite literally, knock their socks off to spare them. They also wear some fancy clothes in the fight.)

Credit to my friends Exo and Rogul for finding this. On the static page, you can actually scroll down. If you scroll down a little, you get this piece of text: “WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!? YOU SHOULDN’T BE HERE!!”

If you scroll down more, you can see two boxes of static which are slightly different than the normal static. If you click on the first box, it leads you to a solid blue page, playing a different type of static which fades in and out. The title is “AREN’T YOU FORGETTING SOMETHING?”, and when scrolled up far enough, it slowly turns into different shapes. When the black box is clicked, it leads you to https://deltarune.com/icepalace_glaceir/, which I will cover after the images below.

Ever wonder whether sans and Papyrus are using their real names?

sans is a comic. Literally, Comic Sans. Like, yeah, everyone's name in this game is a pun or an anagram or something. But it would totally make sense for sans to have come up with that name himself.

As for Papyrus:

Many people think Noelle was talking about Pap, for several reasons, one of them being that this egg, like Papyrus, is "forgettable." Or at least, that its name is.

I've pointed out before that I don't think sans wants Pap to remember where they came from.

We still don't know where they're from (or when). We know sans hides stuff from Papyrus. And that Papyrus pretends not to know stuff about sans and hides how much he does know from sans.

Anyway. There's not much more I can give to show the connection I drew. I just somehow came up with the theory that sans may have changed his and Papyrus' names when they came to the Underground. And mostly to protect Papyrus from whatever sans doesn't want him to remember.
