✦ Masterpost ✦ Part 1 ✦ Part 3 ✦
Letting go of the tension and anxiety in your body. You screamed.
Although it came with a cost - a hoarse throat. It may not be the smartest move to make, especially at night.
But hey, at least you're no longer panicking.
✧✧✧✧✧
Your train of thought was abruptly cut off as something bright and swift struck the ground beside you. It was an arrow. A fire arrow, igniting the grass beneath it and illuminating the nearby area. You looked ahead, and spotted two otherworldly creatures standing in front you.
Humanoid creatures with a soft, fluffy collar and masks that seemed eerily familiar. Pyro hilichurls. That were earlier sleeping nearby… and they probably didn't appreciate you disturbing their rest with your earlier screeching.
You attempted to alleviate the awkward atmosphere with a greeting,”Uh.. Hey.” But the only response you received was an arrow loaded onto a crossbow.
Which signal you to run. Dodging the arrows that whistled past you, and you can only hope they won't be able to set the entire forest ablaze with their fiery projectiles. The thought of burning with the forest or getting plummeted on arrows only motivates you to run faster.
When the two hilichurls are out of sight, you took the opportunity to pause and catch your breath. The nearby tree provided the much-needed support as you leaned against it, your chest heaving. You took in deep breaths, hoping to slow your racing heart and regain some composure.
The cool air caressed your face, the only sound accompanying you is the leaves rustling through the wind. You focus your thoughts on the physical sensations and not the fact that you just saw two fictional enemies from a game you love. Or the simple realization they intend to shoot an arrow through your heart. Leaving you dead, bloodied…
No.
Focus.
You force your restless mind to focus away from your situation. Anything to keep the panic from rising again. The rough texture of the tree bark beneath your fingers. The steady beat of your heart within your chest. The soft, melodic chirping of crickets in the night air, and the cool breeze gently caressing your skin.
Said wind strengthens as a gust of wind slaps your face, forcing you to grab onto the tree to keep from being blown away. You open your eyes, trying to understand what pulled you out of your thoughts, but are immediately struck by the same fierce wind once more.
An anemo slime hovers in front of you like a balloon, preparing to blast you away. Not wanting to be a flying kite. You quickly abandon the tree and take off running. But the slime has already unleashed its concentrated wind, lifting you off the ground.
Even if it was only just a moment, your heart still leaps out from your throat. You slam to the ground hurting your chin, but clumsy get up only to continue running. Even if you're a little dazed. You run.
You ran until your legs hurt, and you didn't stop until you saw the city in the middle of the lake.
The city of freedom: Mondstadt.
From afar you can see the buildings, with their warm, golden lights spilling out from windows and lanterns, creating a soft, welcoming ambiance. The Favonius Cathedral stands tall and proud, its spires reaching toward the night sky. And the stone walls, sturdy and protective, stand strong, keeping its inhabitants safe.
While the water below mirrors the city in its entirety, reflecting the radiant moon and the twinkling stars above. Their luminous light dances upon the surface, making Mondstadt appear as if it is drifting effortlessly through the night sky.
It's beautiful. You pause for a moment, captivated by the breathtaking sight of the fictional city in the distance.
You were so entranced, that you failed to notice the dendro slime silently creeping up close behind you. A sudden rustle, far too close. Snaps you back to reality.
You turn around, heart lurching, just in time to see its curious eyes staring up at you. Startled, you stumble backward—your foot slips. And before you can react, you're tumbling down a small cliff, the world spinning in a blur of panic and dirt.
A groan escapes your lips as pain pulses through your body, while the world is still spinning around you. When the dizziness finally fades, a cold dread sinks in… you've landed on a hilichurl camp.
The creatures, alerted by your rude entrance, quickly close in. Surrounding you from all sides holding their weapons. Instinctively, you scramble backward, for some desperate to put some space between you and them. Only to feel your back press against a solid, unyielding wall.
Trapped and nowhere to run. You're completely surrounded.
A heavy thud slightly shakes the ground showing itself at front is a Mitachurl. They stomped toward you, its towering figure looming overhead. Causing your breath to hitch in fear as your legs turn cold.
As it raises its massive axe, your heart beats fast. As your instincts take over — you throw your arms up, shielding your face in sheer panic, bracing for the inevitable blow.
But instead of pain, you felt a soft breeze pass across your cheek. Then, a voice calls out, loud and clear.
“Providing cover fire!”
“Everybody stand back!”
A soothing warmth feeling washes over you, wrapping around your entire body like an embrace. You watch in amazement as your bruises and scratches begin to fade away.
You then jolted when a loud howl was heard in the battle. Your eyes snap forward, only to be met with pure chaos — hilichurls trying to chase someone down, are clashing with two boys. While someone is locked in combat with the massive Mitachurl, skillfully keeping the beast at bay.
You force your legs to move and sprint, but it only took you a few seconds for your legs to give up. Still in shocked from your near death experience. You internally curse yourself as a hand reaches out to aid you.
“Come quick, before they'll realize you're gone.”
You look up to see a familiar blue eyed blonde boy. He didn’t have time for your existential crisis and quickly grabbed your hand. Then run, forcing your legs to sprint away from the battle.
Finally away with the chaos the boy let go of your hand. “Okay we should be far enough… uh… are you okay?” The blonde asks as you stare intensely at the boy and you slowly reply with a light chuckle.
Yup, you are officially insane.
You took a couple of deep breaths so that you're a little more composed when talking to them and utter: “Mika noʎ ʞuɐɥ┴.”
The blonde boy raises his eyebrows in surprise, not expecting a stranger to know his name. He then furrowed his brows, “I'm… sorry, I didn't get that.”
Your mouth stretched into a thin line, not expecting your words to sound different. You spoke again. “ǝɯ ƃuᴉʌɐs ɹoɟ noʎ ʞuɐɥʇ 'pᴉɐs I.”
Confusion fills you as you repeat the words more slowly, hoping the blonde boy would understand. He just shook his head, then gently grabbed your hand and guided you to sit down on a nearby rock.
“Nevermind that, here let me check if you're injured. Just to be sure.”
Mika quickly checked for any scratches and bruises, first aid at the ready and when found none he nodded.
Then a loud snapping of branches took you by surprise, making you jolt. Mika at the ready to shoot with his crossbow. But instead of a Hilichurl or a wolf, the sight shown are two boys: One beat up with many scratches and a worried rugged boy holding up the other close.
“Bennett, hurt!”
The familiar white hair boy whines as he places the bruised boy down next to you. And Mika is already beside him, analyzing his wounds.
“Big bad, threw friend!”
“I'm fine, Razor. Plus this it's not my first time getting thrown.”
The enthusiastic boy grins while Razor only whines further. As Mika shook his head then rummaged his bag for the medkit.
Looking at the injured Bennett you noticed they don't exactly match their appearance in the game. Razor looks more wild, Mika a bit softer and Bennett has more scars than his in-game design.
If you're being honest, the design in-game doesn't do them any justice. They're are much more small details added, that makes them more lively…
… more real…
A loud hiss interrupted your staring, bringing you back to your dread reality. As Mika cleans Bennett's wounds, making you realize…
These boys just fought for their lives to save you. A stranger. Be it a sense of duty or something more for their goodness of heart. They could've just left you there for dead but didn’t.
And they suffer the damages. These are young boys, teenagers at best.
Isn't the job of the adults to protect the children?
…
You sigh as you watch Mika struggle patching up Bennett with limited resources. While Bennett played it off saying, “Aw it's okay, you tried your best. I'm fine now anyway!” Despite the boy still needing more bandages.
Seeing the action angers you. A curse of knowing these boys' background and character. And your lack of knowledge of first aid, despite learning it in high school. You curse yourself for not remembering.
Not only that looking at Mika vision and the lack of light, meaning his burst isn't available to heal.
So without a word you ripped a piece of your shirt and gave it to Mika. “sᴉɥʇ ǝʞɐʇ ǝɹǝH.” Which shocks the boys from the sound and Bennett doubles down on the situation.
“Woah, woah no need to take drastic measures. I'm fine, see!” Bennett was about to prove himself when Razor grabbed both of his shoulders and sat him back down.
Three against one, Bennett is forced to comply. As Mika patches up the unlucky boy's wounds.
A few hours went by before Razor headed out to hunt for food. Meanwhile, Mika kept himself occupied by chopping vegetables and foraging, leaving you alone with an injured Bennett for company. You avoided staring at him, trying not to make things awkward. You may know him, and help him in-game. But you're basically strangers—with you knowing far more about him than he does about you.
But Bennett suddenly perked up, clapping his hands together—wincing slightly as he forgot about his injury. “So!” he said, a little too loud but with a grin. “What brings you out here, huh? It’s not every day someone ends up camping with Mondstadt’s unluckiest adventurer!” He laughed, scratching the back of his head, clearly trying to play it cool despite the obvious pain.
“My name’s Bennett by the way!”
His energy was contagious, and despite yourself, you felt your shoulders relax. That awkward tension? Gone in an instant—replaced by the whirlwind that was Bennett being, well, Bennett.
He pointed toward the blond boy tending the pot by the fire. “That’s Mika over there. He’s the one handling the cooking.” Mika looked up just long enough to offer a small wave and a shy smile before turning his attention back to stirring the contents of the pot, clearly focused. “And the one who went out hunting? That’s Razor. He’s kind of a wild spirit, but he's actually really nice!”
Bennett shifted where he sat, adjusting his bandaged leg with a faint wince. ““So, funny story… well, not ha-ha funny, but, you know… I actually got stuck in this old hunter’s trap a little while ago. Wasn’t even doing anything dangerous for once, I swear!” he said, laughing at himself.
“Razor was the first to find me. He sniffed me out. Literally. And then ran off before I could say anything. I thought he just left me there.”
He paused for dramatic effect, then shook his head with a grin. “But nope! Turns out he went to find Mika, who was nearby. Then the two of them came back together and helped me out of the trap. Mika patched me up.”
Well that certainly explained why Mika doesn’t have enough bandages, you thought.
Bennett’s eyes then landed on you, curious but warm. “That’s when we ran into you. Didn’t expect to see anyone else, way out here. But hey things happen for a reason, right?” He smiled brightly despite the pain in his body.
You don't believe that, as sometimes situations are just a coincidence.
Still, you replied, “˙uᴉ pǝddǝʇs ʇ’upɐɥ sʎnƃ noʎ ɟᴉ pǝuǝddɐɥ ǝʌ’plnoʍ ʇɐɥʍ ǝɹns ʇou ɯ’I ˙ʎɐʍ ǝɥʇ ʎq 'ǝɯ ƃuᴉʌɐs ɹoɟ sʞuɐɥ┴” It wasn’t until the words left your mouth that you remembered: they wouldn’t understand a single word you just said.
Razor returned, dragging a dead boar behind him. He looked up at the camp, his expression as unreadable as ever, but his eyes softened when they landed on Bennett chatting with you. With a grunt, he dropped the boar by the fire, clearly satisfied with his hunt. He gave you a quick glance, then turned to Mika to help with preparing the meat.
Bennett, meanwhile, turned back toward you, still smiling from your earlier words. Until he blinked, as if just realizing something. “Wait… that wasn’t Mondstadtian, was it?” he asked, his head tilting slightly in surprise. “Huh. Didn’t sound like anything I’ve heard around here.”
He looked at you for a second longer, then his grin returned, a little softer now. “No big deal! I mean, we’ll figure it out. I’ve been through worse than a little language mix-up.” He tapped his chest. “Bennett,” he said slowly, clearly, then pointed at you with an encouraging look.
You chuckle fondly, as he already told you his name before but you played along and gave him your name anyway, and for once he understood.
And that encourages him further and despite Bennett not understanding a word you say he still continues to talk about his adventures of past events and dreams. Which you already know.
Still, you did your best to respond, trying to bridge the gap with gestures and expressions. As you try to communicate with him with the best of your abilities. And when you spoke, Bennett will try and decipher your words, as the others joined as well with food at hand.
Honestly it became a game of charade.
After a lot of laughter, guesses, and a LOT of exaggerated hand motions filling in where words couldn’t and with a belly full of food. For once in your weird situation, you feel okay. Not trapped or constantly regulating emotions, you feel fine. Like a weight in your chest is somewhat flited.
With the boys it feels like your situation is bearable, but as much as the feeling is freeing you must be real with yourself. These aren’t your friends, there are only fictional characters made by someone in a company.
They're not real.
And even if they were, they're not your friends…
Looking at the boys talking to each other, reminds you need to go home. You need a way to get back to your world. Your home.
You jolt when someone taps your shoulder, looking at the perpetrator it was only Razor. Who looked at you worriedly, he called your name. “Are you good?”
You nod your head and give the boy a gentle smile. You scooted over then patted the now-clear space beside you. Gesturing him to sit besides, which the wolf boy takes. “I want to teach lupical words,” he said suddenly. You turned your head, curious, your expression encouraging him to go on.
“Yes, teach,” he repeated, a little more firmly. “I will try… so people are happy. So we understand.”
The sincerity in his voice was simple but pure and it made your heart ache in the softest way.
Without another word, Razor reached for a stick and began drawing in the dirt beside the fire, using the ground as his blackboard. He etched a rough but recognizable symbol of a tree, tapping it gently. “Tree,” he said, then pointed to the one nearby to help you make the connection.
“ǝǝɹ┴” You repeated, he then repeated the words slower this time and you try again. It was weird you can understand Razor clearly in your head, but his words and they way he pronounces them are different. It’s like hearing a different language all your life, you understand it. But you just never able to learn to speak it.
But how would you know, you only learned one language all your life.
Razor words were simple, and his voice uncertain at times, but despite the struggle, he kept going, patient and focused. This went on for a couple of minutes and a couple of lesson later you still learned nothing. You feel guilty for not being able to pick up simple words, it’s not even phrases which makes it worse.
Razor has gone silent, worn out from using voice than what his used to. He sat beside you, shoulders relaxed. You didn’t want to disturb him, so instead, you picked up the same stick he’d used and began idly scribbling in the dirt.
Your hand moved lazily, writing the word tree, using the lines of the alphabet from your language. It didn't mean anything, just something to keep your mind busy from berating yourself.
You didn’t even notice Mika approaching until his shadow fell across the words. Curious, he leaned over your shoulder and blinked at the strange symbols, eyes following the strokes you made. He tilted his head. “That’s... a tree, right?” he asked softly, as if double-checking.
You nodded.
There was a pause. Then Mika’s face lit up as an idea struck him. He quickly reached into his satchel and pulled out a slim, leather notebook. One that looked unused but clearly meant for field notes. He offered it to you with a hopeful smile, along with a small piece of charcoal.
“Here,” he said. “If speaking is hard… maybe this helps.”
Surprised you took it. The paper inside was still crisp and clean, still untouched by words. You scribbled something small. Your name. Then turned the notebook so Mika could see.
“Is that your name?” He asks, and you nod, making him grinned. Mika then pointed to the next blank space. “Spell tree,” he encouraged, eager to decipher your language.
You nodded with enthusiasm and wrote it down. Once you were done you gave it to Mika and he wrote the same word under yours. So that you can be at least be familiar with the letters of this world.
This repeated for a while, the other two joining in. Speaking the words that they wanted you write and then writing it, below you. Until you made a full alphabet of the new language, although you notice it's the same in game.
Guess some things stayed the same after all.

Oracle!Reader 1k Special
Masterlist - Part 1 of Main Series
Warning! This is imposter SAGAU yandere Genshin so expect blood and gore in this chapter.
Sunlight streams down as the birds caw and the faint smell of dew bothers your nose. Keeping your eyes closed you try to ignore it as you curl deeper into your spot. The blades of grass-
…Grass?
Your eyes snap open as you sit up frantically. Towering trees and scattered rocks greet your panicked eyes as you stand up quickly. How the hell did you get here?!
A headache begins to form as memories of the night before come to mind. You vaguely recall exiting Genshin Impact after healing at the Anemo Statue of the Seven and walking in Wolvedom. The title screen came up before the doors of Celestia opened and…
That’s it, nothing else could be recalled beyond that.
Looking around you take a step back for a wider view of the area when something is felt below you. Removing your foot and bending down you pick up the slightly trampled bag and examine it.
Nothing seemed wrong with it so there wasn’t any harm in taking it right? It was basically spotless if you ignore the dirty footprint so maybe it came with you? God you had no fucking clue.
With a sigh you sling it on and examine your surroundings a little closer. Something large and blue caught your eyes and you move a little closer to be sure of what you see.
Your breath catches in your throat at the sight of the familiar structure, something you were sure wouldn’t exist on Earth. Emitting a soft blue and hovering in the air was a teleport waypoint.
This must be a dream, a lucid one considering how aware you are. To dream about Genshin out of all the media you’ve consumed is amazing luck. It doesn’t take much thought for you to remember where in Mondstadt this waypoint is.
Lush green grass with sparse shrubs and fallen trees farther away reminds you of the west side. There’s a faint cry of hilichurls even farther to your right is only a little bit worrisome.
There was the weapon domain near there that you recall being the biggest bullshit in history. At least until Dendro was officially released. But either way it basically confirmed that you were near Wolvendom.
And that was pretty close to Dawn Winery where you could travel the short easy path to Mondstadt City. Traveling across Wolvendom would be no problem since it was just a dream.
Turning your heel, you began your trek to the Anemo statue.
Was there a chance that you could run into a wolf? Yeah but as long as you don't get close to Andrius, wasn't that a weird thought, you should be fine.
The lack of pain in your bruised foot and perfectly intact knuckles didn't even cross your mind. The idea of exploring this dream while you could filled your mind like a pleasant haze.
Finches hopped on ledges before flying off as you climbed up. It's not that high due to Mondstadt's easy terrain, it would be much harder if you dreamt of Liyue. Sumeru would have been your personal hell. But it's easy enough to hop down to the darker area of woods.
Trunks lay on the ground with deep scratch marks clear. The high stone slopes that you dared not climb had similar marks to a larger degree.
That was the telltale sign of Andrius lair being nearby. With a cautious glance to the right where the claw marks led, you continued going straight. A beckoning blue beam shined in that direction affirming your choice.
Bushes decorated your path with berries, a rich purple color that caught your eye. Halting for a moment you crouch before it and reach out.
A rubbery small berry was rolled between your fingers as you carefully avoided the spikes. The Wolfhook berry that you farmed often in this area was a small joy you had at seeing it in your eyes.
Without much thought you began to pick multiple Wolfhooks from the bush and drop them into your bag. You stood back up after picking the bush clean and continued walking.
Since going straight to the Archon statue didn't have a path you had to climb through the bushes. Leaves batted your face and you were sure a few were stuck in your hair too.
Not to mention the grass and dirt stains you had gained throughout the hike. Even still, you couldn't stop the beaming smile on your face.
Reality was good and all but you would welcome any form of escapism that you could. To dream of Genshin and becoming a ‘protagonist’ of sorts is the most common form of it.
Well you weren't hoping to defeat dragons, fight hordes of enemies or be the nonverbal emotional support hero for every nation to lug their problems on. That would be no better than reality.
In the midst of your thoughts you mindlessly popped the first Wolfhook berry you picked into your mouth.
Thinking back to the Archon quests you aren't the type of person to just accept bullshit easily. Like the way Ayaka just plainly guilt tripped and played on the travelers sense of justice was just- sweet?
The taste of sweet fruitiness is followed by a bitter aftertaste. In confusion you stop chewing and lick your lips. Hesitantly you swallow the berry and the sensation of something very real sliding down your throat has you taking a sharp breath.
It's real. Everything was real. The leftover bitter juice of the berry clinging to your teeth. Rough bark of the tree that you're leaning on in a whirlwind of emotions.
Even the wolves glaring at you just a couple of feet away are real!
.
.
.
Fuck
Tensing up at the sight of those predators you subtly pat your body. Other than the bag you had no means of defense. Running wasn't an option either, that would simply goad them into chasing you.
Taking a deep breath you keep your body on high alert and eyes on the pack. Visibly there are six but who knows how many are hiding in the shadows?
It would be best to assess how hostile the wolves in front of you are before worrying about any unconfirmed danger. With that thought in mind you stare at the largest wolf that hasn't let its eyes stray from you.
No barring of teeth or pulled back ears. Good starting signs but those could change instantly. It didn't seem happy with your intrusion judging by its restless behavior and thumping of its tail.
The smaller wolves, probably females, didn't seem on guard either. That was the best sign as it meant no pups were around. You would be totally dead if that were the case.
With the chance of being mauled to death lower than you initially thought, you began to take small steps backwards. Whether you were heading in the direction of the Anemo statue or not didn't matter that much anymore.
It's ear twitched at your movements but it made no move to get up. Feeling the slightest bit relieved at that, you shuffle backwards a bit faster.
“Ugh! I fucking hate Mondstadt! Stupid useless hills and these god awful pollen make me sick!”
Freezing at the female voice and the wolf standing up in alert, you cringe at the sight of a purple figure stumbling out of the bushes.
Right between you and the wolf. Maybe you should be happy that if it attacks it'll kill this idiot first.
Before you can bolt away and leave this, probably capable, woman to deal with the mess she stands up sighing in annoyance.
Dusty green hair, a dark mask, and a recognizable bat-like hood made this situation 10x worse. A Cicin Mage just had to intercept the moment you tried to get away.
…Maybe if you run fast enough the wolves and the Cicin Mage could just keep each other busy.
“Oh, oh my Celestia! This-This isn't a dream right?!” The moment she faces you, she falls to her knees. Hands clasp she looks up at you, the mask she wears can't obscure the smile.
“The fuck?” The words slip out of automatically from the sheer bizarreness of the situation. She doesn't even seem to realize the pack of wolves behind her.
“Almighty Creator, I beg of you to forgive me for my insolent words just now. The foul words I spouted should never have irritated your ears.”
Did she literally not hear you curse just moments ago? Actually fuck that, what's more important is how she referred to you.
“Why are you calling me ‘Almighty Creator’ and would you get off the floor?” There's a pause as her smile falters before she stands up.
Was it cool to have an annoying early game enemy kneeling at your feet? Yeah.
Did you want any passerby to misunderstand the situation as you being a Harbinger? Hell no.
“As you wish, your grace. But allow me to ask, is this some sort of test? A testimony to my faith in you?”
Clearly you had two options. Either lie and act the part of the Creator. Or deny it and risk the chance of her attacking you.
Things were still too vague for you to make a decision. Time to stall for time and information.
“I'm not here to answer your questions. Whatever I plan to do is up to me alone. So either answer my questions or scram.”
She's quiet and you want to curse the mask she wears. But you still catch the way her lips twitch downwards before she's smiling wide and bright.
“How silly of you, your grace. Playing dumb and tricking me like this is quite cruel. Don't worry I have something to match your type of jokes.”
Warning bells go off in your head as she takes steps closer towards you. Maybe it was the near mocking tone she used, or the belittling words but the malicious smile she wore was the most off-putting.
You needed to leave.
Taking a step back, your heel turns to sprint away but it was futile. Delusions wielding wild unpredictable elements would always overpower the weak and limited bodies of mortal capacity.
Her lamp glows in time with her teleport to your front. Her gloved one's grasp yours as a Cicin is summoned to her hand.
Trying to yank your hands away only earns a painful jolt of electricity to flow through your hands. Gritting your teeth you resist any shameful urges to show your pain. Using this moment she basically slaps the Cicin into your hands.
Predictably the electro infused bat creature bites your palm forcing you to wretch your body away from the mage.
Holding your now bleeding palm, you bite your lip and cover the wound with your other hand. “Why the fuck did you do that?! I know Cicin Mages aren't the sanest people but for the love of-” Bright scarlett drops roll from your palm and splat onto the grass.
The air seems to shift as her fingers twitch in place. As if hypnotized by your blood she continues to stare at it staining the grass. “Fuck this…” With that last mumble you turn around more than ready to ditch this situation when electro crackles behind you.
Any lingering hesitance was immediately killed and you bolted away from the area. Maniacal laughter follows you as the electro in the air surrounds you like a fog. She was right on your heel, you could sense it.
“Did you think you were slick? Pretending to be our god when you are nothing more than a human? Not even one with elemental powers, what a pitiful existence~”
She teleports in front of you with a lantern in hand that glows as Cicins are summoned to surround her. It’s more than enough time for your fist to connect with her face. Even if your raw strength wasn’t enough, the momentum you had from running gave you whatever strength was needed.
“Fuck off!” The yell is accompanied by her cry of pain as something inevitably gives away under your fist. She staggers backwards and glares at you angrily with tears escaping her mask.
“You rotten imposter! How could anyone, let alone I of all people believe you to be the Creator?!” The Cicins leave her side to chase after you as she twirls in place.
Wolvedom’s environment of hulking trunks, shady areas and raised tree roots were cool in-game but in real life it was nothing more than a pain in the ass. The city is where you felt the most comfortable traversing but you did relatively well in dodging most of the terrain.
Didn’t stop the slight jolts of electro hitting you as the electro cicins were hot on your heels. All you could focus on was the steadily closer beam of blue of the Anemo statue. You would be near Dawn Winery where Diluc, who loathed the Fatui, could deal with this damn Cicin Mage.
But let’s be real, you should have known your luck would run out.
And that’s exactly what happened when you failed to vault over a tree root in time. Curling and rolling on the landing you avoided any severe injuries but the Cicins were too close to not take advantage of the opportunity.
Some continued to shoot electro at you from afar while most took to biting and tearing at your body. Limbs against the agile small bats were useless to swat them away with. It only got you more bites to suffer from.
Humming is heard getting clearer and it only serves to panic your already frazzled mind. With limbs becoming tingly and numb from the electricity, your hands grope the grass around you for something, anything-
Cool metal is felt and your fingers wrap around what you can and swing in a large arc. The long metal weapon works just as intended and flings a good chunk of them away. When your arc ends you can see a few bats stuck on the spikey end of the metal club that twitch and bleed. As if on cue, all the Cicins cower before fleeing.
The Cicin Mage skips over with her lantern glowing and crackling, her lips are pulled into a scowl as she yells at the retreating Cicins. “Get back here! The mist grass hasn’t been completely used up yet! How are you all already leaving?!”
Panting, you try to see past the blood in your vision to gauge how close she is to you. Quickly you use your arm to rub the blood off your face and by the time you pull it off, the mage is already beginning to float.
“You REALLY know how to work me up!” Crazed laughter erupts from her as the lantern glows one last time before shattering in her hands. It’s the catalyst for the electro shield to surround her and a strange symbol above her to begin shooting electricity.
Try as you may, your twitching muscles are slow from the Cicins attacks leaving you slow to get off the ground. She’s just about in reach, you can basically see your death about to play out.
In a flash a gray blur pounces on the Cicin Mage, it’s not hard to make out the pointed ears and furry coat. More wolves emerge from the shadows and follow the first wolf’s lead in attacking. The lightning manages to hit quite a few but with the multiple targets present, it switches too fast for any consistent damage.
“What the-?!” The mage yells in a mix of frustration and confusion. She can only try to float away from the horde in the shield. But the shield flickers and you can see the way her body trembles as the wolves surround her, awaiting for that flimsy shield to break.
And when it does, the bloodbath is horrific.
You’ve seen many people die, usually in painful ways. Thanks to your upbringing and line of work of course. But most of it was done with knives and guns, maybe the occasional poison if stealth was necessary. The sight of sharp teeth digging into screaming flesh was a new experience.
Blood stains the maws of the wolves and flies off to splat on your face. It’s still warm and the feeling of it sticking to your skin is nauseating. Her clothes are ripped as well as her limbs. It’s hard not to gag when you realize that they’re eating her.
The smell of iron gets stronger when all the wolves turn to you. Teeth bared showing strings of flesh clinging to their teeth. You can just barely make out shredded green hair, a half eaten arm and soulless eyes seeping out her mangled head.
Shakily you try and stand up, it’s not the best decision with all the pack staring at you but you could care less about that. Between the realization that everything is real, that you aren’t on Earth, and how you seem to resemble the ‘Creator’.
Nothing seems to make sense and you can only focus on escaping.
A teal symbol appears below the pack of wolves before wind shoots up, throwing the wolves into the air. You stare at the familiar symbol and the relief you feel is immense.
The wolves hit the ground with a whimper before running away. The symbol fades as a figure floats down from far above you.
Venti, the Anemo Archon disguised as his deceased friend, holds the Skyward Harp bow you equipped on him as he floats to the ground in front of you. Cream and teal green colors make up his signature bard outfit as he smiles at you.
Soft nearly girlish features look down at your bloodstained figure as mirth swirls in his teal eyes. With no danger present, the thrum of your heart slows down letting you smile crookedly at him.
“Thank you for the save. I was really about to die there…” Your words trail off at the Anemo infused arrow pointed at your face.
“It’s my pleasure imposter.”
This has to be some sick joke. Once is an incident, twice is a coincidence but did you really want to deny it and risk the third being a pattern? Gulping you stare at Venti’s face, the smile he wears is now lined with something… sinister.
“What do you mean by imposter? I haven’t claimed to be anyone.” A giggle leaves him at your words but the arrow in your face is steady.
“You really are clueless huh? No one is just born with the Creator’s face yet you, a stranger that appeared from nowhere, are.” Frowning you try to make sense of his words. If you visibly looked like this ‘Creator’ then what made the Cicin Mage be sure that you aren’t?
“Just like that Fatui brat, I too believed you to be the Creator. But the more you spoke and the way you acted made me suspicious. I’ll give her some credit for thinking to cut you to see the color of your blood.”
The color? You glance down at your palm, it was bleeding red so was that abnormal for the Creator?
“Then again, if you did bleed gold I would have just immediately killed her for daring to harm our God.” The fuck?! You mean you’re about to die for being born with this face and not bleeding liquid gold?!
“What the fuck man, is it really that serious?” You knew those were the wrong words to say as the arrow comes close enough for you to feel the air whipping around it. His smile disappears and the dark glint in his eyes are more than enough for you to shut up.
“That serious? Oh what a pity it is to exist without knowledge of the Creator. Without even touching how they created every particle of energy, every drop of blood in our bodies and the vast gifts they gifted us I could still lecture you on their divinity. But I’ll keep it short and simple that even you can understand. They help poor outlanders who arrived here to find their sibling and even used that opportunity to take care of the nations they come across. Their touch extends from the most important events to the smallest tasks that even normal people wouldn’t bother with. How could we, how could I, not worship them?”
So this was a cult? It was the only viable explanation as to why both a Fatui member and an Archon like Barbatoes could agree on something. And by extension that means you must be the Creator.
The only one that could ‘control’ the outlander is you as the player. It would explain why you look ‘exactly’ like them, why Venti was wielding the bow you specifically put on him and even why you had appeared in this world with the bag.
But why the hell is there a condition about having gold blood attached to it?
“You seem to fully understand why I’m pointing this arrow at you. Then that means we can end this here and now-”
“Look Venti, I never fucking claimed to be the Creator. And isn’t this lecture hypocritical considering that you’re parading around in the body of your dead friend? I was born with this face, what’s your excuse?”
There’s a full stop with your words hanging out in the open. Like the slightest pressure on a tightrope leaving you to wonder whether you’ll stay balanced or fall off into the air. He blinks at you with a mix of emotions you can’t decipher.
A snort leaves him that evolves into a chuckle before turning into full blown laughter. His head is thrown back as the bow slants down, his laughter doesn’t put you at ease. He finally calms down as you wait patiently on the ground.
Running would be useless against the God of Wind.
“I have to admit, you make a very good point. I suppose the term imposter doesn’t suit you anymore. What is your name? If you have one of course.”
Seems your gamble paid off, Venti wasn’t the type to stay fixated on one rule or another. He’s flexible just like one would expect from the God of Freedom. Whether or not you would risk your name being known as the Creator’s is another risk.
“My name is Y/N.” You can’t offer more personal information than that. The only reason you gave up your name is due to his power to hear through the wind. There’s no telling when you could accidently slip up and have Venti hunt you down due to your lie.
“Well Y/N, it’s your lucky day today! I’ll let you live for succeeding in pointing out my ‘hypocrisy’ as you put it. Mind you, it’s definitely not on the same level. My friend is dead and not the Almighty Creator. But then again you didn’t claim to be the Creator either. In fact, I’m more interested to know how you even came to obtain that information while managing to be oblivious to our God’s presence…”
Well it certainly wasn’t your fault that Genshin fucking hid everything about this. But you needed a way to explain how you know so much while being oblivious to the ‘Creator’.
“I’m just a messenger blessed with visions of their journey.” The words are spoken solemnly but Venti seems intrigued either way.
“My sole purpose is to communicate words and feelings that the traveler couldn’t convey.” Venti frowns at that, and you know it’s not the best set up considering you didn’t even know about the creator a few hours ago. But Venti didn’t give up any super useful information to work with either.
“Oh really? That lets see some proof and maybe then I won’t kill you for claiming to be a servant of the Creator’s.”
“I’m well aware that the Creator hasn’t selected every vision holder to be used by them. Captain Eula for instance hasn’t ever been wielded unlike how often Chief Alchemist Albedo has been. That’s not counting the brief moments on special occasions.”
Venti stays silent at that but his eyes haven’t strayed from you. His dark braids and teal blue tips are gently swayed by the wind as he keeps a firm grip on his bow.
“I recall on more than one occasion how often you would be wielded to group up enemies in combat. Both in the various regions and in the Spiral Abyss in the sea.”
He hums in contemplation at your words. A playful smile graces his face as he leans downwards to ask you. “All this sounds very nice and all but how does this explain your confusion to being mistaken as the creator?”
A pivotal question that decides your fate hangs in the air. There’s no stalling or distractions to help you out. Sheepishly smiling, you stare back at him as a sad tone coats your next words.
“In truth, I’ve never seen the Creator. For a long time I studied those visions as intangible feelings bloomed within me without reason. But one day I was spoken to in the sweetest whisper of how they longed to converse with their people.”
Closing your eyes and clasping your hands, you continued to speak with a wavering voice.
“I offered them myself to be used but I never received an answer. And now I woke up here with no memories of my past outside of the visions. It was only after you spoke about the Creator that I realized my God and your God are one in the same.”
Opening your eyes to smile widely up at the surprised expression on Venti’s face you finished your words.
“I truly am lucky to be blessed with a face so closely resembling the Creator’s. But you shouldn’t mistake me for the Creator. A mere oracle like me pales in comparison to the Creator of All.”
The bow disappears from his hands and he begins to clap. “That would earn you a standing ovation if this was done in front of a crowd!” He laughs but you don’t relax your body, that decision is proven right when his tone lowers dangerously.
“While your story makes sense, I can’t just trust you. Everything can be neatly resolved if I just believe you to be Celestia’s spy and kill you right now.”
An arrow flies past you, grazing your neck before you could even try to move away.
“I’ll stay true to my word and let you live. Feel free to roam my region and claim to be the oracle. I will not stop you but don’t expect me to let you spread false information either.” Your blood is warm as your bloody palm presses on the burning wound in hopes of slowing the bleeding.
“But if I ever hear or find out about you using those blessed features to mimic or claim to be the creator. I will end you.”
The eyes of Barbetos stare you down as wind whips around his body. You could see that it was Barbatoes watching you instead of Venti.
“I’ll hunt you down across the nations and string up your body for the Genesis Cathedral to see.” With those last lingering words, the wind becomes a barrier as a symbol glows on the ground.
You close your eyes instinctively in response to the harsh wind and open them to the sight of a bloody clearing instead.
A weary sigh leaves you before you collapse backwards onto the grass. The sun that shines above you is your only guiding light now that the beacon of blue spelt out pain instead of hope.
The events that you had just gone through make your head spin. Your fingers slid up your face and carefully traced your bloody features.
The Cicin Mage’s bloody mask lays on the ground just a few feet away.
It’s just a temporary measure you tell yourself as you slide the uncomfortable and unfitting mask on. Just until you can find a way to cover your face properly.
------------------------------------
The sight of the Barbatoes statue that glows in your presence is almost nauseating. The blood from that event still sticks to you despite how much you rubbed on it. To your surprise the Statue heals your injuries and leaves you feeling more refreshed than before.
The metal club you hold in your dominant hand seems to weigh less too.
You cast a wary glance towards Dawn Winery before looking at the faint outline of Mondstadt city. There’s no way you could go to Dawn Winery wearing a Fatui mask, Diluc would actually kill you. But could you go to the city wearing this mask in strange bloody clothing either?
Even Springvale seemed like a bad place to travel to in this state.
With a groan you readjust the mask and turn slowly to survey the area. The outline of smoke rising catches your attention. Out of all your options, this was your best bet.
You creeped closer to the smoke's origin and arrived at the edge of a small cliff. Looking down you could see three figures sitting around a campfire. Deciding to lay low for the time being you flatten yourself on the ground with a clear view of the camp.
A purple and black clothed blonde, silver hair poking out of a dark gray hooded figure, and finally a pale haired person that was definitely burning the food. Just those aspects make it clear that you accidentally stumbled on Fischl, Razor and Bennett.
Thoughts of what you went through earlier with Venti come to mind as your finger brushes against the healed skin where Venti left his ‘warning’.
Patiently you watch the trio as they struggle to eat the burnt food. The sun has already begun to set and you think through different plans on how to obtain a change of appearance from the group. The bushes on the opposite side of the camp shake, catching your attention.
From your vantage point, you can clearly make out some treasure hoarders shuffling closer to the camp. Biting your lip, you debate whether to reveal yourself to warn the trio or not. Teal eyes flash in the back of your mind solidifying your choice in not getting involved.
Instead you watch as Razor suddenly stands up and sniffs the air, his greatsword materialized into his hands. Fischl and Bennett stand up in hurry as they look around. Oz, Fischl’s companion manifested by electro is summoned too.
It was pretty entertaining to watch the hoarders freeze in place at the commotion. Razor stalks around the camp on edge as Fischl commands Oz, he obeys by soaring on the border. Bennett to his credit tries to simply sit back down on the lod, more than well aware of his extreme unluckiness.
Except it breaks beneath him making him fall flat onto the ground and get scratched up from the broken pieces. Most likely worried, Razor and Fischl move closer to Bennett as he stands up laughing sheepishly.
Even from far away you can hear his bright sunny voice ring out. “Don’t worry I’m okay!-” The barrel that he uses to help himself up just so happens to be a pyro slime barrel that explodes at the contact.
Cringing you watch Bennett fly through the air and land on the hilichurl structures crushing them. The dust settles and the now exposed treasure hoarders look at FIschl and Razor with that signature ‘deer in headlights’ expression.
The camp goes into chaos to say the least.
The hoarders attack first as Fischl and Razor meet them halfway only using physical attacks. Probably due to the fact that Bennett was on fire and frantically trying to put out the small fire growing around him.
A hoarder slinking in the back of the group raises a vial, the plum colored clothing he wears makes it clear what kind of potion he was about to throw. And just as you were already anticipating, he threw the electro potion in Bennetts direction looking like a direct hit.
A direct hit at the second pyro slime barrel just inches away from Bennett.
The resounding explosion was at least double the previous one as smoke and dust covered the area. You can’t see much as you rub your eyes but there’s a loud thud of something hitting the cooking pot and a follow-up of more smaller scale explosions.
It all calms down as Razor and Fischl cough out the remaining smoke, they’re surprisingly unharmed in the center as Bennett and the hoarders lay passed out. Bennett’s ashy hair is slickened with blood and his mildly charred body catch the duo’s immediate attention.
You can’t help but feel slightly worried at the sight, head trauma was no joke. Perhaps it was your distracted thoughts but you didn’t even realize how close you moved to the edge until ruby red eyes met with yours.
Fischl is shaking Bennett trying to wake him up but you can’t look away from Razor’s red eyes staring into yours.
“Wolf der kleinen worte! Do thou not grasp our ill-fated companions condition?! Quicken thou sloth paced soles and support our misfortunate companion!”
Razor breaks the staring contest to look at Fischl with a pinched expression. “I-I don't know.”
To his credit he does get closer but immediately stops when Fischl or rather Amy yells in frustration.
“Just help me carry Bennett to Springvale!” Razor rushes to Bennetts side and supports most of Bennetts weight. He seems to have completely forgotten about you thankfully.
“Um Mein Fräulein , I believe we have a-'' Oz begins as he returns to the frantic Fischl's side. She's quick to snap at him too. “Silence Oz! Matters unrelated to the wretched and uncouth incident that our companion is suffering from can be properly dealt with at the hour of dark deception.”
You almost feel bad for the crow if he would just stop giving you those damn pointed looks. Just to push his buttons in return, you bring your hand up to wave at him.
His grumpiness at your actions is visible but useless as he's forced to follow Fischl and Razor who rush toward Springvale.
Meticulously you watch their figures get farther and shrouded by the forage before quickly descending from your hiding spot.
Once you land at the now ruined camp, you reach down to the first treasure hoarder and rip off his mask. Discarding the Cicin mask you place the flimsy cloth mask on with a sigh of relief.
The ill fitting and hard mask of the Cicin was not something you wanted to wear longer than needed. Readjusting the thin mask you frown. It seemed this one wasn't much better…
Taking a good long look around you note how the majority of the headers had masks on. The clothes they're wearing are mostly intact and clean too…
Without a shred of guilt or sympathy you stood in the camp wearing new clothes and a reinforced mask covering most of your lower face. Your bag is full of similar clothing, leftover masks, weapons, a meager amount of mora and vials of elemental energy that would no doubt sell for a good amount of mora.
Luck finally shined down on you when one of the treasure hoarders groaned as he sat up. Your blood-stained metal club's spikes glistened in the rising moonlight as you smiled down at him.
“Hey, let's make this quick. Long story short I'm going to need you to answer my questions with every lingering integrity you have or else this club will bludgeon your head like a pinata!”
Whether he knew what a pinata was or not didn't matter. The fear flickering in his eyes only spurred you to grin wider.
---------------
You left Mondstadts gates with slumped shoulders and drained morale. It's been a few days since you woke up in Mondstadt and today you finally had everything set up to live in a different nation.
The perfect layers of a backstory of being an ex treasure hoarder turned adventurer. An oracle to the acolytes who sensed your divinity. So far only Venti has heard about your outlander status.
You intended to keep it that way.
Venti stayed true to his words and never tried to out you in any way. But you just couldn't feel comfortable enough to live in Mondstadt long term, especially with Ventis increasing clinginess.
It was a strange development and he wasn't the only one to display those tendencies but you couldn't keep putting yourself under this stress.
At least in a different nation, you might only have to fear accidentally running into an acolyte. But other than that you would be relatively set for life.
Those encouraging thoughts of the future caused you to stroll with a pep in your step. If you kept up this pace, you'll be passing Dawn Winery before noon.
“Ughh, please…” The hoarse voice of a man is is close by but all you can feel is dread. You don't see him, nor do you look for him. You did NOT want to get caught up in someone else's problem. You had enough of your own to worry about.
That plan is thrown out the window when a weak hand grasps your ankle. Looking down your eyes trail over the pale hand to the bleeding body it belongs to. Yanking yourself out of the deathly tight grip you stare warily at the man.
“Please, your grace, I need your help. I need your mercy…” That title made your heart skip a beat as you glared down at the man.
Did he know? How could he when you sewed so many of their shitty masks to make the durable one you wear now?
Red and pink froth bubbles out of his mouth as he coughs pathetically. His whole body is pale and thin, very unlike the first and only set of treasure hoarders you saw when you first transmigrated.
“I beg of you, show me mercy!” Grimacing at his wails you look around to make sure no one is around. When you look back down at him, you can finally see the injuries he wore.
A long gash down his chest, deep and maggot infested to boot. Legs mangled and oozing something that smells like death itself. Then there's his face, if you can even call it that, burned to hell and back.
With no eyelids, you stare back into his glazed ones as he mumbles endlessly. All you can hear him mutter is pleading for mercy and death.
Seems like he can't actually see you, but would Venti take it the same way? Gritting your teeth you try to move around the dying man when his eyes latch onto your clothes.
“Ha…HAHA!” He laughs hysterically letting his chewed tongue hang out. Repulsed, you stop and glare down at him in confusion.
“Running is useless for us! HAHAHA- THE COLD ALWAYS COMES WITH THE WIND!” Without any warning his laughs become sobs as his hands grope the grass. “They were right! We should have listened to them… Treasure Hoarders like us can't survive in Mondstadt…”
“Ex-treasure hoarder.” You correct automatically more then used to doing so in the city.
Shaking your head with a groan you turn around. Why were you still here with this soon to be corpse?! You had other places to be and better things to do then get caught due to this guy.
Danger. Your body feels an immense sense of danger that has you throwing yourself to the side in an instant. A wave of cold breezes past you at the same time causing frost to grow on the side of your torso.
Seems you were right about Teyvat sending you some sort of signals in these situations. But the way your head hit the ground sent your mind into a haze.
Teyvat sends another warning but the dizziness hasn't subsided enough for you to even move. It would have been useless anyway as the next elemental attack is too broad for you to dodge. Hydro washes over your body before a lighter Cryo attack mixes in.
Now frozen in place attached to the ground, you can't even see who even attacked you. Hands pry you off the ground and flip you over.
Colors and shapes wooz together until the only thing your sight can process is two things. A cryo vision and hydro vision glow before a bag is thrown over your head effectively blocking your vision.
Panic and fear hit you like a ton of bricks at the realization as you're lifted into the air. Flailing your body as much as you can frozen you angrily yell even with the slurring.
“Put me dwown! Lwet me gwo!”
The kidnappers ignore your screams and curses as they leave the area. Judging by the crack you heard, you're sure the treasure hoarder was already put out of his misery.
--------------------------
You're not sure how long it's been since you've been kidnapped. The cryo that drips off your body has mostly melted away now replaced by rope but you've long lost the energy needed to get away.
After being kidnapped by those two vision holders, Kaeya, Rosaria, Barbara, Mona, Mika so many possibilities since they can just travel(this will be in different font), you were handed off to other people. They must have handed you off at least 4 times and any sense of where the fuck you are has been lost.
But the sounds of nature and the faint smell of grass have dropped off. Now replaced by the sound of your captors boots hitting stone pavement. A building, an underground one considering the lack of sunlight and faint color of flames that you pass by.
The bag over your head was annoying but relatively useless if they wanted to keep you completely blind. The only thing you truly lamented is your bound hands. If they were free you could bring up the screen and blindly teleport to the few waypoints you unlocked.
And even if that didn't work, you could just use one of the characters to fight through all the enemies before making your escape-
Your thoughts are cut off by the creaking of a door being swung open. Abruptly you're pushed down into a chair and more ropes are bound tying you to the chair.
When the bag is torn off you're mildly surprised by the completely white room. The only pop of color you could see is the blurry things behind the people in front of you.
Eyes struggling to focus after being cut off for so long you squint at them in front of you.
“You must be the latest person to join our reform program. How lucky you are!”
Something about that happy go lucky tone made your stomach churn. It was eerily reminiscent of when Venti went on that spiel about the ‘Creator’.
Clarity is regained and you frown suspiciously at the two people in front of you.
The man on the left stands in pure white clothing with a black suit underneath that barely pokes out. A cassock if you remember correctly. His short blonde hair and facial features are somewhat familiar.
The woman on the right matches his perfect posture with the same outfit. Again her brown hair in that braid laying over her shoulder gives you an even stronger sense of recognition.
But the smiles they wear are identical and eerie in the most utopian way you can imagine. Adding in their earlier words about being part of the ‘reform’ program makes it clear that this is some cultish shit.
“Extremely lucky considering that they get to witness first hand how we, who were once in their position, are going to help them reform first hand!”
…If that wasn't ominous then you didn't know what was.
Simultaneously they speak with wide smiles and eyes gleaming in a way you can't trust.
“Welcome sinner to the Genesis Cathedral.”
Maybe that alone wouldn't be too big of a deal. Escaping from the depths of a cult was hard but you had powers from being the Creator.
It was the gold weapons faintly stained with blood in the background that sent chills down your spine.
Guess who forgot to post it last night? Sorry everyone but I do hope you enjoy this admittedly long special. It was a lot of fun to write! [Guess who had to spend an extra 10 minutes fixing shit when Tumblr forced me to exit without saving it?] My characterization of Venti is quite different then how most of the SAGAU fics have him (that I read). Mostly cause I feel everyone only sees the SAGAU and his God of Freedom is lost in the mix. It's not super bad but it does feel like a shame. I was enjoying making the camp go to hell with Bennett as his unluckiness is a easy plot device lol. But he is one of my fav characters so no surprise there. The next chapter and onwards will be for the main series as again this was just a 'what if' au. Again this was fun and a nice change of pace but at the end of the day- I have a whole document draft detailing the general events (and certain twists) of the main plot. Thank you all for the support, likes, reblogs (yes I read your tags <3), and comments! Taglist is always open for more, it's kinda like growing a conga line if I had to make a comparison lol
Taglist: If your username is in italics, that means I couldn't tag you! It's going to be in this format from now on since Tumblr has a text limit per paragraph.

How’d This Happen?!
A/n: First Post! Please enjoy! This was inspired by @idkfitememate Boar!Creator!
I was floating... it’s dark? What..?
I was just playing Genshin Impact... Where am I now..? It’s getting cold... Huh... What’s that light? When you first woke up, you didn’t understand what was happening. But you got isekai’d into Genshin Impact, as a cat.
You mostly looked like Luna from Sailor Moon... but your eyes. They were like a normal cat’s, but golden, and your pupils looked like Primogems.
Great... You thought annoyed, you’ve read stories, some get cool powers, others get their phones... but you got a Cat! How unfair, but you choose to feel thankful, you didn’t know if their was anything to this place yet...
They could have killed you for being an ‘ImPoStOr,’ you mentally mock the name... But you started to wonder and ended up cutting yourself.
Not gold blood. Not stary blood. Or pink blood. It looked like the Galaxy, the drops that lost contact with your skin floated up to the sky...
So... You were a god? How does that work? You were stuck in the form of a cat... So confusing... But you decided to wander around and learn.
=================================================
In the few weeks you’ve been here, you’ve found out the following.
One, the true “Impostor,” had descended here long ago.
Two, they weren’t an animal.
Three, you did, in fact, have a human form, but felines are your ‘Symbolic Animals,’ odd, but you’ve always been a cat person. (You did figure out how to turn back into human, but you didn’t have clothes and turned right back into a cat.)
Four, you can control the different elements; So you decided to be chaotic and make a cat friendly base in the trees and ground so no one would find you.
Five, the mobs didn’t attack you.
So far, when someone’s seen you, you’d bolt. But now, you have a proper escape plan! So, you started working. Of course, you struggled, after all, you weren’t exactly used to being a cat yet, or using the elemental powers. But you managed.
Thankfully, Tevyat helped you, making sure you found fresh and clean water; giving you cat-friendly fruits to eat, or letting you catch big fishes; making sure the waters were calm if you tried swimming; and the winds gently blew you dry after.
But after a few months, you made a very small cave system for cats, or bunnies now that you think of the size, to travel through. You didn’t fully understand Dendro enough to make a tree base.
More time passed, as you lived as a cat. You didn’t care to keep up a ‘good appearance,’ why should you? You’re a cat in the forests near Mondstadt, staying alive was more important for you.
Time actually was passing so fast because you were so used to your world’s time. So, you didn’t really eat or sleep like the others here. So before you could process, a year had gone by...
You spend that time playing; chasing seelies, napping with slimes, and visiting some Melusines in Fontaine (Them not telling anyone your the Creator). Letting the hilichurls braid your now fluffy and long fur.
And you were getting homesick; yes, you were having fun... But you missed your parents, your older brother, your friends... Hell! You missed school, as crazy as it sounds...
No one here called you by your name... No one looked at you... No one thought anything of you now... But it was your face and name being taken by that person...
You shake yourself out of your thoughts, angrily... You didn’t like this as much as you thought you did... You enjoyed being free and not being hunted down... but you wanted to talk to people...
But you joined your favorite Hilichurl Camp, joining in with the fire dance. You were invested into the dance as you breathed Fireballs, of different shapes, into the night sky; Thankfully, not harming any trees, or wildlife.
But, barely missed the boy who was acting like a wolf-... Wait!?

Celestial Control
cw// quest spoilers, pretty short, big boy words 💪
Iridescent, yet frail and nigh invisible strings caressed the Iudex's gloved wrist, the Hydro sigil he'd made dissipating at the same rate that the final hilichurl disintegrated. This had already been a common routine for the Chief Justice: being pulled away from his duties and joining the Traveler's 'party' with three other individuals.
It had become a regular occurance for Neuvilette as of late. It's been around, what, a few years since he's been invited to do so? Nonetheless, he's learnt considerably more in the intervening period than he ever would have by being cooped up in his office all day.
From the forgotten island in Mondstadt, to the fact that the Dendro Dragon Sovereign was still alive, even learning that the Geo Archon faked his death, and more.
But the most significant aspect of his entire Hydro-Dragon-Sovereign-reincarnated-as-a-human life was his growing knowledge of the Creator of Teyvat — his previous incarnation's creator, too, to be exact.
At first, like any other chosen acolyte, he couldn't understand whatever they were saying. Even the simplest words of their divine lexicon he couldn't make sense of, and anything he'd ever manage to hear were like choruses of voices — to the softest female voice akin to a child, to something he could only describe as nothing at all, from the most agonizing scream he'd ever heard, to the soft whispers of sweet nothings caressing his ear ever so gently.
It got to the point where needed the assistance of his other 'teammates' to translate a single letter; the retired geo archon would only tell him that they were quite overjoyed after he answered their call.
And with each ascension, he regained power comparable to that of a fully fledged dragon — his humble origins. Who knew that a good amount of colorful starfishes, transoceanic pearls, chunks, and crystals, multiples of the horn of a thought-to-be-extinct fontemer seahorse and gorgeous varunada lazurite gemstones in various forms, sizes, and hues could endow him with such power? And so simply, too?
Though he does not express it outwardly, his form is filled with pride whenever he summons the sigil to put forth a flood of hydro against the many, many forces of Teyvat that wished to harm him and the other acolytes.

unnamed slime game - prologue
Masterlist
Your adventure in Teyvat begins in a grand celebration.
Teyvat itself sings in joy as the night sky is illuminated by a shower of gold, purple and blue – Anemo dances across plains and between mountains like a mischievous fairy; Geo quietly rumbles in carefully contained excitement so as not to bring harm to those that walk its' surface and those that crawl below; Electro and Pyro join hands to create explosions in the sky not dissimilar from fireworks, wanting nothing more than to join the falling starts far above them to show their reverence; Hydro quietly shimmers, sharing news with the beings it is home to; Dendro comes alive and the various plants grow despite being off-season, blooming to make Teyvat all the prettier; even Cryo, usually so aloof and standoffish, stands to attention, ice crawling across buildings in a beautiful pattern not dissimal to hand-woven tapestries. The animals, humans and hilichurls alike gather together to bear witness to the holy descension of their beloved—
Just kidding.
It's nothing like that at all.
There are no grand celebrations and no world-wide welcome.
This is not a story of an almighty Creator descending on Teyvat. There is no gentle All-Mother that returns to her children and no overbearing Their Grace that one could not bear to look into the eyes, for they were lowly and unworthy.
This is not a story of an Impostor either.
Just... you.
It was a very quiet, very ordinary morning in Teyvat when a bit of electro condensed into a very confused slime and that is how the story actually begins.
How underwhelming.

Love, Lost and Wandered࿐ ࿔*:・゚
dainleif is scared of forgetting you, he would traverse the cursed plains of the irminsul to remember you. — cursed grounds that belonged to one of those damned archons just to remember you. his curse now includes you as well. im gonna be honest and tell you straight up idk how the irminsul or dainsleif work and whether or not this is accurate to their lore, i just want to write a devoted lover dain who’s willing to beg to the archons for reader like that one questline. also!! reblogs and follows are very appreciated as it lets me know you guys enjoy my writing!! . (reader x dainsleif) oct. 15 2023 part one (?)
dainsleif is too ashamed to admit this aloud but he finds himself forgetting you. who once was his most precious, his beloved; your voice, your laugh, even your smile. — the gods are merciless but were ‘kind’ enough to spare you from turning you into the hilichurls doomed to wander the earth, loyal only to their most primal instincts. they were ‘kind’ enough to spare you from the curse of immortality, the pain of living and unable to die. he wonders which fate would have been better for the both of you, but he does believe death has been the most merciful outcome.
the only thing he has of you is the memory of your name, the love he can’t forget, and the dreams you’ve left with him. — but they’re not immune to the weathering of time. he finds himself slipping, forgetting the little things that complete your image, the treasures he salvaged from the remnants of his home broken down with the centuries that came with immortality and the dreams you held with him now seem blurry as though he couldn’t fathom to sleep and dream without you. it’s been eons and yet he still hasn’t gotten used to your absence beside him.
when fate is kind enough to grant him the time to paint, his mind goes over to the idea of you and he seems to get the gist of your frame, your figure but your face only seems to be drawn as a mixture of swirls, indescribable and indistinguishable from the fog that surrounds the memory of you.
as much as he hated to admit it, he was slowly forgetting you.
but he’s not ready yet, to forget you is to let you die once and for all. he’s the only one who holds the memory of you and if he forgets, you’re gone forever. — amidst the false gods, their endless pride and the heavens; you were the angel that almost made dainsleif believe in divinity.
he’s desperate to maintain that memory of you, to keep you alive and beside him to the best of his ability for forgetting you might doom to an eternity of restless living cursed only for vengeance.
dainsleif was desperate enough to keep that memory of you that he was willing to trek onto the irminsul, the ‘sacred’ grounds of the dendro archon that records say remembers everything. the memories stored within the ley lines that have touched all of teyvat, the ley lines that rooted itself deep beneath the grounds; roots that listened to every drop of rain, whisper and wind. — he was willing to traverse and resort to the divinities he loathed just to remember you. whether it’s be by force, or if he had to kneel, beg and grovel at the archon’s feet just to be welcomed into the dreamlike plains; he would do it for his pride was nothing next to his devotion for you.
the only obstacle now was whether or not the archon, buer was willing to let a khaenri'ahn survivor step foot into the holy grounds. — or if he could even ask for help from the traveler..

00¹ ─ DESC. genshin impact | dendro men reactions to you getting injured part one.
00² ─ TYPE. overprotective boyfriend au! x female reader
00³ ─ FEATURING. tighnari + baizhu ( individual imagines )
00⁴ ─ CW. body injuries. slight mentions of blood.
# A/N NOTE : cringe? ╥﹏╥ ( p.s ; alhaitham and kaveh will be in part two )
TIGHNARI / knee.
YOU fall to your knees, too exhausted from all the hours of following tighnari around in his ever indulgent research trip to take another step. you hiss in pain from the sting of your scraped kneecaps but try to keep it down, wanting so badly not to spoil his fun.
"We didn't see mushrooms this shade on our last journey here, how odd..Y/n, can you-" tighnari drops his pen and notebook when he sees you kneeling on the ground, covering your bleeding knees.
"Are you alright?! " he asks, panic clear in his voice as he rushes over and crouches down to check on you. "What happened? Are you in a lot of pain?" he sputters in a hurry, though he doesn't give you enough time to respond before hoisting you up and over his shoulder. "Let's get you home quickly and tend to you're wounds before it gets any worse!"
"But your research Tighna-"
"We'll finish it another day!"
BAIZHU / arm.
YOU avoid eye contact with baizhu as you feel around your newly bandaged arms. Taking a deep breath, you observe him putting away the bandages and supplies he used to patch you up.
"...You know, I did try to be careful." you try to explain, not wanting to sour the mood more than it was, but not being able to take the cold silence from the man you hold closest to your heart.
you don't regret what you did. someone needed to save qiqi from those hilichurls and even though you weren't the best at fighting, you couldn't have just sat there without helping.
you just hope that baizhu will stop giving you the silent treatment and understand your intentions.
he cares about her just as much as you do, if not more, so you know he isn't exactly mad at you, he barely ever gets upset with you. but, that did mean that he was probably very serious this time.
baizhu knows he can't stay angry at you forever but..he can't handle seeing you hurt in any way. what if you had gotten hurt worse than just a few deep scratches? the thought alone makes his heart turn sour.
"Zhu? "
"..."
"Zhu, please just talk to me."
you watch baizhu turn around to face you, crossing his arms before finally laying his somber honey eyes on you. he frowns before sighing and carefully bringing you into an embrace.
"I apologize. I know I shouldn't blame you...I know that but, it was just so difficult, seeing you like that. All the blood Y/n I-..I just couldn't-"
"I know, I know."
you whisper softly in his ear as he squeezes you a bit tighter, burying his face into your shoulder. he let's out a shaky breath as you rub his back in comfort.
"I'm just glad that you're okay."

Yay requests are now open! So can I request a reader who is yanqing's sibling who plays sympathetic immersia (video game equivalent in Luofu) Genshin that Guinafein introduces them to it, even JY knew the game's hype and reader is immersed with the game's scenery, music and archon quests Reader also would blush every time they see genshin fanart of Wanderer or Xiao. Yanqing and JY would notice how they would look down and grin widely in their phone screen. Also the early AR shenanigans like unlocking dragonspine, trying to ice bridge to Inazuma and getting yeeted by a hilichurl and ofc the infamous dendro slime attacking when exploring Liyue. Overall, reader plays it and YQ is curious and JY is interested
★ A/N: If that were me they would hear me screaming at night when I get my various different characters (esp Kaveh and Zhongli) I hope you like this anon :>
☆ Genre/Trope: Platonic + Fluff
★ Format: Mini Scenarios (Separate)
☆ Warnings: None (I think?)
★ Extra: Reader is older then Yanqing // Readers job is whatever you want their job as // Father JY :D
Jing Yuan's heard of the game before however it wasn't until he heard you yelling in delight over a 5* you had gotten that he found out you were one of the many people that also has a delight in playing the game.
He's amused to see how much you like certain characters and how you, in your words, "simp" for others. In fact, I honestly think you probably did the "My parents rate Genshin Characters" trend with him. He ranked most of the characters very highly honestly. (He especially liked Cyno along with some of the sleepy characters like Lisa, Layla and Sayu)
Honestly he's very amused by all your reactions throughout the game, the audible gasps you may do when something surprises you, the loud cursing when you're fighting an enemy and the cries when you lose your 50/50 (maybe if you ask nice enough he'll give you his credit card)
I'd think he wishes to try out the game himself, however with the fact he's busy with General duties he doesn't get much time to really play. However he does get all the characters he wants with just a swipe of his card, however he's stuck at level 45 as a) no time to really continue and b) he honestly seems like the type to not bother with the ascension mission and in fact wants it to build up till he knows he's AR 60. THEN he'll actually do it.
Overall, he doesn't mind that you play it and enjoys it himself when he can. However don't expect him to be so willing to give you his card so you can get the Genesis Crystals to get the characters you want.
(Also I see his team consisting of off-field dps like Xiangling and Furina so he can just sit back and relax as they do the fighting and he doesn't need to lift a finger much)
I feel like Yanqing was already a player. Like he joined when it was first released but he didn't really play much. He'd log in once or twice a week then not log in for months. It's not that he isn't interested, he is. It's just he has things he enjoys more.
When he finds out you play it then he might be more inclined to try harder at it, so the two of you can do some sibling bonding time and play. Depending on AR levels between the two of you, he's either asking you to help defeat bosses when he still cannot after the nth time or you both can cry as you die to the electro hypostasis.
I feel like his luck is like, amazing as well. Like he got Keqing on the beginner banner and managed to get a good 5* weapon for her on the standard. And he's always won his 50/50s
However his luck cannot be transferred to how his artifact luck is. It takes his weeks upon weeks to get ONE decent artifact for his new 5* Ayaka.
He still doesn't play much but his game time has increased a lot more and he can understand why you like it so much...however he cannot understand why you seem to like certain characters and beg him to get you merch of them for your birthday.
He definitely struggled in DragonSpine and thought pyro and cryo characters were immune to sheer cold.
Overall, he understands a lot where you're coming from when it comes to gameplay and lore but when it comes to you simping over certain characters then he can't help but feel confused, and if he particularly dislikes a character you simp for. Perhaps disgusted (jokingly and lovingly of course)
(I'm unsure what his team would be, but he'd be a mono sword team imo)
Honestly, with my personal experiences with Genshin. I thankfully did not struggle with DragonSpine (not as much as other people did)
.
.
.
However, I will say that I probably should've started building sooner. I only started once I hit about AR 56 and finished most of the Inazuma quest (don't ask me how I survived, idk either lmao)

today's event is just clora SLANDER, like how is that they dont let you use anemo. dendro electro restriction is fine for a spread carry like alhaitham, but every aggravate team uses kazuha or xilonen. and for second team they dont give you overload which is clora's second best, but electrocharge? who fucking plays clora electro charge? AND they dont let you use anemo in worse aoe then venti's floor 11??
and like dont try to give me shit that they only allow primary reactions, in yelan vape they allowed hydro, pyro and GEO. why is geo here huh?? its bc most popular hu tao yelan teams use xilo or if u suck zhongli! why in cow trial her team with xianyun had electro anemo and HYDRO elements? bc that team fucking sucks without furina!
they know anemo is essential in both aggravate and electro charge, but they dont let you use it. and like second stage aoe enemies domt even run to you like hilichurls, they all slowly fucking back away! clora has good aoe, but she's not neuvi, she cant hit entire football field with one attack!

Crocus cradles the last drops of snowmelt in its widening petals as buds fully unfurl and green-yellow leaves sprout on delicate branches. The miracle of life is promised through the slowly scattering pollen and the wakening bees, sealed with the sweet scent of flowering meadows. Winter's finality is far behind us—it is time now to revel in the endless abundance of Spring.
Vind, the ever-dedicated Storm Watcher of the Church of Favonius, has fallen ill and much to her shame is temporarily unable to perform her duties. Even though Mondstadt may not have seen a true storm in generations thanks to the benevolent Barbatos' protection, she still cannot rest easy unless someone is watching the Stormbearer Point in her stead. With that said, she didn't say anything about observing the sea for days on end with the same devotion as her. So whether you spend this time on a casual chat with a friend, or throw a party with them (and maybe also the local Hilichurls), it's all up to you! Just, you know. Don't miss the storm if it actually decides to come for the first time in a thousand years.
In a show of nature's cruelty, a few Leisurely Otter pups have been found orphaned or abandoned by their parents. The Fontaine Research Institute is urgently seeing caretakers for the little ones, who will regularly feed them, teach them to swim, and then finally embark on the most important mission of all: search for the most perfect seashells that each Otter will hold on to for the rest of its life! This is how you're going to find out that these little critters are quite particular about their shells. They will not stand for anything less than their fated Chosen One.
[COMBAT] Word spreads around Inazuma: The Seirai Island's Asase Shrine is open once again and welcomes the faithful of the land of Narukami and beyond alike to pay their respects. Both curious about the resurgence of this long-forgotten place, and attracted by the promise of a shrine full of cats, people flock to the location to check it out. Of course, with many visitors comes a full offertory box, and with a full offertory box... come bandits. The self-proclaimed Provisional Priestess, Neko, is recruiting brave volunteers to put those crooks back in their place, desperate to get back the first offerings she's seen in years. Lend her a hand, would you? I mean - who wouldn't want to help a talking cat?
NEW! If you put flour and yeast into a Hydro Slime, will it become dough? Can you mix the essence of Hydro and Dendro Slime to make the healthiest supplement known to man? Tired of trying to unravel the deepest secrets of the universe, Mondstadt's alchemist have chosen to return to the basics for the time being, and inquisitive minds from across Teyvat and beyond are invited to partake in their workshop dedicated to Slime tests and experiments. What fascinating combinations and groundbreaking results can you and your friend come up with?
NEW! Reports flood the Liyue Qixing and Adventurers Guild alike: the amount of large amber crystals at Mt. Hulao has greatly increased of late. While treasure hunters would see this as a prime opportunity, the Qixing, well aware of the stories of adepti encasing monsters, trespassers and evildoers in amber as punishment, issues a temporary ban on approaching the area until the situation can be investigated. Could something or someone have evoked the wrath of the revered Mountain Shaper? Why not lend a hand to figure out?
A new Hanu's Adventure arcade machine has been set-up in Penacony, one that puts a spin on the classic game structure. Instead of transforming into Brother Hanu, you play through the game as yourself. Actually, in this story, the famed Brother Hanu gets captured! A mysterious group has taken him hostage, and not even Clockie can get a word on his whereabouts. No, it's not Boss Stone: all you know is that they're called the Sicilians—a bunch of big-talking, cigar-puffing, suit-loving fellas named for a long-derelict faction that once had a hold of the Asdana system. With a sharp eye and a sharper mind, only you can rise up to these new antagonists and help bring Brother Hanu back to his friends—and maybe earn a cool grunt as thanks.
With the spreading rumors of previously unseen planets and celestial bodies being discovered in the faraway skies, many an aspiring scholar turn to their notes and instruments, desperate to be the ones who make the next big hit. Sure enough, a group from the Intelligentsia Guild's Armed Archaeologists School boast about a new discovery: a never before seen planet shrouded in eternal, unending night. Are you ready to join their squad of mercenaries and embark on the search for new (old) life?
[COMBAT] Following the success of the Ruan Mei creations adoption program, ominous silence has now fallen in the Seclusion Zone. And of course, with the love some researchers have for ghost stories and wacky theories alike, it's not long before a new tale is spun. Something about a missing janitor, broken communication, rumors of remnants of the Swarm lurking in the now silent darkness... It all feels overblown and made up - at least until you learn that there is, in fact, a janitor who hasn't been seen in two days.
NEW! Starskiff races are nothing abnormal at the Luofu, but a group of brash youths has been reported recently as they've been taking the matters a bit too far. They've been causing havoc and provoking dangerous situations with their starskiffs, which seem to have been illegally modified to be faster than they should be. The Realm-Keeping Commission hopes that perhaps someone may be able to uncover their operations by posing as aspiring new members and gathering intel.
NEW! A cache of reality data from the Simulated Universe has been tampered with and stolen, and the researchers of Herta Space Station are scrambling to find who. It's a classic whodunit: Fingers point like daggers, accusations are thrown like knives, and friendships fall like empires. Within this haze of hearsay, the good people of the Space Station turn to you for objectivity and fairness. So bring out your magnifying glass: it's time to play detective and get to the bottom of this hullaballoo.

Dendro Delusion AU. spill.
Ahahaha that's a small (but important! for the porn!) part of a larger AU that @theabysscomeshome and I first came up with... years ago when Inazuma first came out, which I mention mostly because some of the lore/worldbuilding premises have been jossed and we have not updated them. XD;; (In particular I actually wrote fragments of the initial Jean-Diluc-Kaeya meeting that are now thoroughly upturned re: both the Abyss and hilichurl biology, and I'm sad about both.) @theabysscomeshome describes it occasionally as a "sexy evil mirrorverse au," and it is, but I also think of it as a double role-swap AU: Jean and Childe, and Venti and the Tsaritsa.
See, the aforementioned Jean-Diluc-Kaeya meeting happens when Jean and Diluc end up in the Abyss (initially they fell in by accident, we've since revised it to "they plunged in to rescue Barbara from something" and thus Barbara ends up there too), and meet a Kaeya whose father was taking him to Mondstadt via the Abyss and fell afoul of monsters before they could get there. Diluc's Vision, in this premise, protects him from the corrupting effects of the Abyss, but Kaeya (due to the Abyss effects + the curse) is at this point at least 10%, maybe 20% a little samachurl, and Jean ends up Childeified! (Barbara to some extent too, in the revision.) Kaeya leads them to an exit from the Abyss and gets them out, but they are all Forever Changed to greater or lesser extents.
And the Venti-Tsaritsa end occurs because Venti, in this AU, does not get any of his canonical naps. This is very bad for him and essentially sends him off the deep end and leaves him conceiving some very bad and sleep-deprived plans to storm Celestia. So when he shows up in Mondstadt with those plans in hand and finds 16-ish-year-old Jean Gunnhildr working on body disposal because she, Diluc, and Kaeya just finished ~interrogating~ Eroch for Suspicious Behavior (IDK who he's spying for in this universe. It might still be the Tsaritsa and her subordinates, who've we've kind of put into a role as Venti's main opposition, but left vague because we Know Nothing about her yet), he looks at this Gunnhildr who is a lot more willing to do violent murders than he's accustomed to and is like. Perfect. He's just found his foremost assistant :> and the other two look great, too, he'll keep them also. A wonderful start to what turns into an off-the-rails aggressively martial theocracy.
Anyway this includes Delusion development and research (there's a whole side-thing where Crepus is put in charge of that because he's totally willing to use his family funds for that in exchange for acknowledgement from Barbatos Himself, then dies while personally testing an early model--possibly because he has a useful subordinate named Zendik--and it's not the only reason Diluc eventually ragequits but it's a major factor), and Venti ends up with Harbingers but not Fatui because "Jean Gunnhildr, 1st Harbinger of the Knights of Favonius" sounds badass and rolls nicely off the tongue. The "sexy evil mirrorverse" part comes in because between the Abyss influences we imagined and the Delusion-caused mental influences we imagined, almost everyone's moral compass has been turned roughly upside down. There is a lot of torture, war crimes, summary execution, etc. going on here. Lisa's vines are useful for restraining Jean at Jean's request both in and out of the bedroom (sometimes Jean is overwhelmed by the urge to kill when she rationally knows she needs to not be killing), but they are also useful for holding one of Kaeya's interrogation subjects still while he flays them alive. :> They're besties engaging in fun friendship activities together~!
A few people have not had their moral compasses turned upside down here, which provides some extra fun. I love writing Fredrica so she is present and ends up gathering up other Knights who have had issues with all of this and allying with Diluc and Lumine in our imagined endgame as they take Jean and Venti down. (A lot of Diluc's motivation in teaming up with Lumine in the first place is that he wants an ally strong enough to face them but who is willing to let Jean and Kaeya live, which is hard to find in a Teyvat that has suffered a lot from the KoF trampling both national and ethical boundaries all over the place in pursuit of Venti's goals.*) Klee is still as innocent as ever, she's just encouraged to set off her bombs in places that canon Jean would have a heart attack about. Amber is Kaeya's best spy and secret agent because she's just so fucking cheerful and sincere. A nice little bit of juxtaposition for what is mostly Knights of Favonius: War Crimes Edition.
*Except for Watatsumi, which got full, non-just-for-our-own-goals support from militarized Mondstadt for their rebellion and thus did not just get a peace treaty but full-out won their war in this universe. Jean successfully killing Ei (and uuuuh Yae Miko and Kujou Sara in the process. rip) did not hurt.
And, yeah, Jean and Lisa and Kaeya have so, so much extremely kinky and often deeply problematic sex. :>

im feeling better and i had a brilliant brilliant genius idea scoob. (EXPLANATION BELOW)
okay class what was the author trying to say
fatui harbinger au. SHOCKED EMOJI
sub-au. an AU of an AU (marvel impact) because three things happened to cross paths in my big empty mind:
1. "man i would love an evil stephen au"
2. "man i need to draw genshin mordo"
and 3. "i love the harbingers" and when the idea lit up like a flame in my brain i exploded out of bed
this au consists of the best magic users ever being fatui harbingers (rip traveler) because evil hot and crazy sexy, instead of adding more harbingers they replace already existing ones because one two three enough fatui for me
so basically evil evil magic users au
((before moving on for ppl that do play genshin but dont know much about the fatui harbingers, there's 11 of them and they're ranked based on strength, personally i wouldnt even know how to scale them based on their powers so i didnt touch the ranks, just switched out the characters))
NOW EXPLAINING EACH OF THEM IN ORDER OF THEIR 'RANK' starting with lowkey
Loki is pretty self explanatory, he takes The Tsaritsa's place because cryo archon.... ice...god.....
i was initially planning on making loki take scaramouche's place because i found scara's "YOU'RE INTERRUPTING A CONVERSATION BETWEEN GODS......" dialogue in the sumeru quest so funny and because the idea of loki being a fake-god seemed cool, but her as the cryo archon and overall leader of the fatui was too good to put aside
IMPORTANT NOTE/EDIT: NVM YALL LMFAOOOO I DECIDED (iwas MANIPULATED /j /aimed) TO CHANGE LOKI BACK TO TAKING SCARAMOUCHE'S PLACE there's a lot more things they have in common and it sets an interesting dynamic between him and other characters in this au, including thor ("better version of him"), strange (using loki as a vessel to create a god) etc
Wong's the baddest bitch in this post theres no other explanation
im (half)joking (hes so fine) theres an explanation
it was between that and making him take Il Capitano's place, which would have been Rank 1, and he would have still ranked higher than everyone else (besides Loki) so i looked at their wikis .
The Director (Pierro) handpicked certain Harbingers, two of which being Il Dottore and La Signora (in this au, Strange and Wanda) so that was just the stars aligning for this au
Strange's gotta be even more self-explanatory than Loki's
il dottore. the doctor.
need i say more (no but i will)
i need at least 34084 aus of this man being evil idk i cant control myself
Sufian and Zandik (Dottore) already had a lot in common or parallel in the marvel impact au, both expelled students from the Akademiya, positive/negative relations with the dendro archon, man kissers, insert il dottore wiki
i want him to be scary and feared now and then, is that too much for a man to want from another man (rip eleazar patients)

clea had to be arlecchino/the knave because. because
clea in a suit primary excuse
arlecchino's cool hair secondary excuse
woman kisser back-up excuse
theres little to no explanation here i just sensed it spiritually (arlecchino is the best ily arlecchino) + the theory about arlecchino being half-hilichurl?? or something like that? because of the cool gradient on her skin, which is rlly awesome, so non-human bonus points
need more insane, cold, calculated, manipulative, insane, insane, deceiving, insane women sometimes
mordo he exists hes here save me mordo
im gonna be so fr with you guys rn

pulcinella is just there, i forget he exists often times
only mordo can fix that
after deciding on making Wong the Director, i considered making Mordo take Il Capitano's place or Pantalone's/The Regrator's, but i was really really unsure, he didn't seem to fit either of them and by making him take the Regrator's place I would be putting him in a rank that is wayy too low (9) and considering how little there is about Pulcinella (literally almost nothing), I would have a lot of creative freedom
wanda had to be one of the easiest to sort out....la signora..... alternatively "crimson witch".......? come on they forced my hand atp
im so sorry red bisexual i didnt want you to get such a low rank (8) i had no other choice
la signora is such a badass im tired of pretending shes not (+her Crimson Witch form is amazing)
consumed by grief and anguish, destroying themselves in the process? they twin
fandom theories about their resurrection? they twin
that was it i love being normal about any interest i have . ever

Masquerade Kiss // CynoNari
Fandom: Genshin Impact Ship: CynoNari
Summary: Cyno attends a masquerade ball in Fontaine as a diplomat for Sumeru. He wishes that Tighnari was with him. (CynoNari)
Tighnari found Cyno enthralling no matter if he wore his Matra uniform or Akademiya robes. This was the first time that he saw him in clothes from outside of Sumeru. Cyno wore a Fontainian style overcoat and jackal mask. He could easily picture Cyno on the cover of a musketeer novel. The costume was a gift and Cyno asked Tighnari to help him adjust the coat to fit him before he wore it to the masquerade ball.
“Keep an eye on Collei while you’re in Fontaine. I know you’ll keep her safe from hilichurls but that’s not the only thing you should watch out for. While this is a masquerade ball, it’s foremost a diplomatic meeting. That’s a lot of pressure for a girl like Collei. If she gets nervous, take her outside for fresh air. For once, I won’t complain if you skip the event to play Genius Invokation with her.” Tighnari chuckled but it settled heavily between them. Cyno could see that Tighnari was more apprehensive about the trip,
The Hydro Archon invited important delegates from each nation to a masquerade ball. The event was to help strengthen the bond between the seven nations after Inazuma opened their borders. Cyno, as the General Mahamatra, was chosen to represent Sumeru. When he told him that he would leave Sumeru for a week, Tighnari suggested that Collei should join him. A journey outside of Sumeru would be a good opportunity for Collei.
Before she met Amber, Collei wandered through the nations to look for a cure. She saw a lot of the world but the scenery was overshadowed by distrust and fear. Tighnari hoped that she could now see it in a new light. As her teacher, he wanted her to pursue her studies. A part of him couldn’t help but worry. After the time they spent together, he saw her as a daughter more than a student.
“If only Lady Furina allowed me to bring two guests. You could join us.” Cyno had to admit that he was apprehensive of the trip and he would feel more confident with Tighnari. He participated in ceremonies in Sumeru and rites with the Temple of Silence so he wasn’t worried about the ball. “Collei looks up to you and she’s more comfortable talking with you. I don’t know what we’ll talk about on the boat ride to Fontaine. It’ll probably be awkward silence.”
“Of the two of us, I think you’re her favourite Papa. She always asks when you’ll be able to join us for dinner again and play Genius Invokation with her. I don’t know how you two can spend hours on that game.” Despite the complaint, Tighnari smiled as he pictured the rare nights Cyno spent at Granharva Ville. Both Cyno and Collei had complicated pasts and Tighnari was happy they could be a family together. “You already escorted Collei on a trip. The second trip should be easier.”
Cyno’s doubtful expression didn’t change with his reassurance. The sealing ritual saved her but he knew that it was a painful experience. He understood her situation all too well and he didn’t want to make her relive the memories. When he first brought her to Tighnari, he hesitated to visit them. Tighnari later encouraged him to spend more time with Collei and teach her how to read through their shared interest in light novels and trading cards.
“I wish I was better with people the way you are.” Cyno sighed.
“You should be more confident in yourself.” Tighnari took his hand and tenderly squeezed his fingers. He had seen how close Cyno and Collei were but their experiences made it difficult for them to express it at times. He thought of what else he could say to encourage him. “Collei liked your pun with the cat. I can look over your little book of jokes to find more that will make her laugh.”
“I thought of a new joke while you were helping me with my costume.” Cyno placed his hand over his heart and asked: “Are you certain that your vision is dendro? You can be a hydro user because you electrocharge my heart.”
“That’s more of a lame pickup line than a joke.” He didn’t laugh but the corner of his lips tipped into a reluctant smile. His smile was beautiful and that sight was enough for Cyno. “I’m surprised that you didn’t say the more obvious pun. Your vision must be pyro because you set my heart on fire.”
“You’re already perfect for me. With your dendro vision, you make my heart quicken.” He playfully twirled a green strand of hair around his finger. Between his touch and joke, Tighnari felt heat rise up face. He couldn’t admit how much he enjoyed Cyno’s jokes despite how dry they were. To hide his blush, Tighnari took Cyno’s mask and slipped it on.
“I hope you don’t tell those jokes to anyone in Fontaine. I don’t know what kind of humour the region has but we shouldn’t risk an international dilemma. This masquerade ball is to bring the seven nations together, after all.” He stepped back and looked over the costume that Fontaine sent Cyno for the event. He was handsome and would no doubt be popular at the party. Other guests would ask him to dance and he would have to due to politics and politeness.
He trusted Cyno and their relationship so he knew that he would never cheat on him. However, he didn’t like the thought of him dancing with someone else. Tighnari bit his lip and looked down. Jealousy was a childish emotion but Cyno brought out a different side to him. “I heard that people in Fontaine are hopeless romantics. They also enjoy dramatic displays.”
Cyno placed his finger beneath his chin and gently lifted his gaze back to him. The mask hid his face and he wished he could see his green eyes. He leaned down and kissed him through the mask. Tighnari could feel the warmth of his lips through the thin fabric. Cyno wrapped his arm around his waist and pulled him closer. With their bodies pressed together, he imagined them dancing in a ballroom.
“It’s a shame that you can’t join us— for more than just Collei’s sake. I don’t want to dance with anyone but you.” Cyno rarely allowed himself to voice his wish. Growing up in the Akademiya, he learned to restrain his selfish whims because scholars would dismiss him. Tighnari was different. He had a genuine heart and that warmth drew Cyno to him. He could be himself with him. “Furina sent the guests a book to teach us the waltz. Will you help me practise?”
He placed Cyno’s hands on his waist before he lightly laid his own fingers on his shoulders. “Neither of us are experts in dance so this will probably be like the blind leading the blind. We don’t have the Akasha to help us anymore. We’ll have to practise for hours.”
“I don’t mind. That gives me an excuse to stay longer. Nahida gave me the week off to prepare for the trip to Fontaine. I can sleep here tonight.” Cyno suggested and Tighnari nodded readily. Their work kept them apart so he wanted to savour the rare opportunity they had now. A part of Cyno also wanted to spend more time with Tighnari because he knew he would miss him in Fontaine.
Tighnari must’ve had the same thought because he moved closer to him and wrapped his arms around his neck. “You were given the dance lessons so you should lead this dance. We just need music—”
“Tighnari!” Collei’s voice broke through the moment. They were alone in his hut but they could still hear her outside. He smiled regretfully and dropped his arms from his shoulders. Tighnari walked to his window and looked towards Collei’s tent below his. She waved back to him. “I tried on my costume and I need it fitted now. Are you finished helping Cyno?”
When he would’ve replied, Cyno wrapped his arm around Tighnari’s waist and briefly distracted him. Cyno leaned forward and his strong chest pressed against his back. He grinned down at Collei. “Your costume looks cute, Collei. When you tried it on, did you hear the spool ask the needle ‘How are you doing?’ His answer was ‘sew sew’.”
He groaned at his pun while Collei retreated into her tent to escape any further puns. Tighnari turned in Cyno’s arms so they were facing each other. “Knowing you, you thought of that pun a while ago and were waiting for an opportunity to tell it.”
“You know me well. I love you sew much.” Despite the forced pun, the love in Cyno’s voice softened Tighnari and made his heart quickened. He wanted to linger in the moment but Collei was waiting for him. Tighnari wondered if Cyno could read his thoughts when he added: “You should go help Collei. I’ll get dinner started.”
He nodded and he let go of him. Tighnari walked the short distance to Collei’s resting on a tree branch. She heard his footsteps as he approached and opened the door for him. Collei wore a lavender dress that matched the costume given to Cyno. She nervously tugged at the feather on her headpiece. “Do I look silly? I’m not accustomed to this style.”
“You look pretty.” He patted her head and reassured her as a father would. “You don’t have to worry about your appearance or the judgement of others, Collei. This trip is for you to have fun and expand your knowledge of cultures outside Sumeru.”
“Fontaine sent five dresses but they’re too elaborate for me. They’re all from Chioriya Boutique.” Collei nodded at the giftboxes on her desk. “Furina’s letter said they’re gifts and I can keep the dresses. I can’t imagine wearing them though. Should I send them back?”
“It’ll be a shame to throw away such fine fabric. Perhaps, you can keep one for a special occasion and give the others to Dehya or Nilou. You’re shorter than them but they can have the dresses adjusted to fit them.” Tighnari suggested. He walked to the gift box and studied the dresses. “So, this is the fashion in Fontaine. How interesting.”
“If you ever visit Sumeru, you should see Pardis Dhyai first. I’ve spent a lot of time in their garden. Good thymes and memories. I will vouch for its beauty.” Cyno’s joke was followed by a chorus of laughter from Neuvillette. He never expected his puns to be so popular in Fontaine and it was a pleasant surprise.
Cyno heard of Fontaine’s love for theatrics and how even their trials could become entertainment. The masquerade ball was far more extravagant than he imagined. A thousand candles illuminated the room and reflected against the gold drapes lining the wall. Flowers lined the tables and he couldn’t find a single space left empty. The guests’ sapphire, jade and ruby costumes could almost be mistaken for decorative jewels at a distance.
While the fashion of Fontaine was different, the festive atmosphere reminded him of life in Sumeru City. He couldn’t bring himself to fully relax and enjoy the party. Cyno missed Tighnari and he wished that he could dance with him. He spent a majority of the ball speaking with the Ludex. “I’ve interrogated many criminals as the General Mahamatra. The hardest one to get information from was a mime.”
Among the loud music and the chatter of the crowd, a sudden silence in the room caught his attention. A masked figure walked through the garden gate and into the ballroom. He wore an amethyst dress and the skirt hugged his hips, giving him the image of an oceanid. The rich purple fabric contrasted his green tail. He was breathtaking and the mystery of his sudden arrival caught people’s attention further. While the room stared at him, he didn’t give them a glance. He walked to a table and simply studied the flower vase.
Gentlhome Usher had already introduced the guests and the mysterious man hadn’t been among them. The room whispered and spectated who their new guests could be. Neuvillette gestured to a guard and said, “Bring the uninvited guest to me. I must question him and assess whether he’s a threat. Please be discreet to not disturb the masquerade ball.”
“Wait,” Cyno quickly stopped him. “I know who he is. I can assure you that the man isn’t a threat to Fontaine or this party. Let me speak with him.”
Cyno didn’t wait for Neuvillette’s answer before he walked to the masked fox.
“May I have a dance?” Tighnari recognized the voice so he knew Cyno made the request even before he turned to face him. Cyno bowed to him and then held out his hand to him. He had imagined dancing with him in a ballroom a thousand times but he never thought they would be able to. When he sneaked into the ballroom, he only intended to watch over Cyno and Collei from a distance. He worried they would be attacked by Fatui or Treasure Hunters.
A part of him had to admit that he was hoping for Cyno to recognize him and ask him to dance as he did now. He didn’t want to let the moment slip away though. Tighnari placed his hands in Cyno’s. “It would be my pleasure.”
Cyno brought him to the center of the room and then they faced each other. He kissed Tighnari’s gloved hand before he brought it to his shoulder. As he would so many nights, Cyno placed his hand on his waist and pulled him against his body. They fit together perfectly and Cyno leaned down to rest his forehead on his. The song started and the music almost drowned out the whisper he gave to Tighnari.
“You’re beautiful like a fairy tale, Tighnari. Are you Cendrillion or The Little Oceanid? I’m worried that you’ll disappear at midnight if you’re the former.” Despite his disguise, Cyno recognized him. Once he heard Tighnari giggle, his suspicions were confirmed. He didn’t need to see his tail or ears to know that he was Tighnari. He was able to recognize him from his proud walk and soft voice.
“I thought I could sneak into the party without anyone noticing. It appears I’ve failed. I don’t understand why everyone finds my ears and tail fascinating.” A thousand pairs of eyes were watching them and he could feel their curious gaze. Both Cyno and Tighnari were accustomed to people watching them in the Akademiya. In each other’s arms, they didn’t have to worry about their career or people’s judgement.
With each step, Tighnari moved closer to him. He rested his cheek on his shoulder and closed his eyes. He could hear his heartbeat and he swayed in time with the sound. They rarely had the chance to dance together yet matching his slow pace came naturally to him. They relaxed into the moment and the world faded around them.
“I overheard you speak with Neuvillette. Thank you. This must be the second time you’ve stopped someone from arresting me.”
“I won’t let anyone hurt you.” He promised and squeezed his hand tenderly. With his other hand, Cyno traced a circle over Tighnari’s hip and the lilac dress. Whether he wore Sumerian silk or Fontaine lace, he was stunning to him. “Though, that would be easier if you told me about your plan first.”
“This plan was a surprise to me as well. You can thank Dehya and Candace for this costume. When I delivered the dresses to them, I told them about the masquerade ball. They gave me this dress and then pushed me into a boat to Fontaine.” Tighnari chuckled as he recalled the afternoon. “Honestly, I’m happy that they did. I wanted to dance with you. We don’t get this opportunity with the Akademiya watching us.”
They needed to keep their relationship a secret since Cyno had many enemies through his job. Cyno didn’t want to endanger Tighnari and Collei. He came to the masquerade ball as the General Mahamatra. However, in that moment, he let himself act as a masked man and his lover.
