I’m so desperate for Jean to get on the court and play against a team that’s vile and rude. He’s being called names he’s heard a thousand times before and he’s unfazed by it. But the double D’s are certainly not. Suddenly they’re playing as rough as they can with getting carded and shouting viciously at the other team. During halftime Jeremy is like “what is the matter with you two??” And Derek says something like “Sorry, Cap but no way in hell am I just gonna relax while those assholes talk to Jean that way”

“What way? Jean, what did they say to you?”, Jeremy’s now got concern written on his face. Jean huffs and shakes his head, putting his gloves back on.

“Stop making a big deal out of nothing. It’s nothing I haven’t heard before.”

“Jean.”, Derrick is now standing very close to him. Jean attempts a glare at the pissed off look on Derrick’s face. “I don’t really give a damn if you had that word written on your forehead. They have no right.”

Jean felt his stomach lurch. Every voice that had ever called him something vile rang loudly in his head and ears. He wanted to be unbothered, but pride will always get the best of him.

Jeremy bit his thumb nail with unease and placed a hand on Derrick’s shoulder, silently telling him to back up. “Listen Jean if someone is being out of hand, tell me now and coach can handle it properly.”

“Properly would be busting them in the mouth” Derek said with a joking smile but the tension in his jaw said he was serious.

“This is a waste of time. Jeremy, no one was out of hand and you two, mind your own business.” Jean had heard more than enough on an issue that would never be settled. He pushed past them all and headed back towards the court. Unfortunately, the menacing best friends were not far off his heels.

“No can do, lil bro. You’re our business now.”

“Yep! It’s us three now. Big J and the Double D’s”

“Hell yeah, that could be our band name”

Jean’s nerves were raw by now but the voices in his head were suddenly filled with annoying chatter and poorly done French accents. Suddenly the crude words of the other players were nothing more than forgotten.

I feel like the double d's get cutness aggression with Jean, but they know they can't touch him, so they're just standing next to him like clutching at the air mimicking squishing his face and he's stood there like wtf is happening

kevaaron (crack) socmed au (pt. 1): when i said this was gonna be an ooc and a crack fic i did not lie. sooo originally i didn’t even want to include exy, but it’s just weird having kevin obsess over another sport and i want there to be a reason why the trojans know the foxes so yeah but yeah the rest? not as canon compliant. seth is alive, neil wasn’t on the run he just travelled a lot (as does derek so they ran into each other in europe once), the whole escaping the nest thing didn’t happen jean and kevin are just childhood friends and went separate ways. we’ll get enough pain and tragical plots next week, i’m here to heal us and keep things silly

Jean refers to Derek and Derrick as partners bc of the Ravens system. But once Jean starts using the word partner as in lover (thanks to Rhemann and Adi, but most importantly thanks to Jeremy), he wonders what kind of partners double Ds really are. And what Cherise’s role in the whole thing is 🥲
