DreamWorks logo variations

You know how DreamWorks Animation has changed companies for the duration of their career in show business. I thought that if they showed other companies' logos before their own at the start of their films and had other companies at each period, this is how they'd look.

The Shaun the Sheep films aren't DreamWorks, but they're related to Wallace & Gromit's franchise, so I thought I'd include them in the hypothetical matter anyway but without DreamWorks's affiliation.

The Jay Ward media had a share of distribution from Buena Vista (former label of the Walt Disney Company), so if DreamWorks let them release only Peabody & Sherman, it'd be under the now-defunct Touchstone Pictures.

Society sees being fat as gross, unattractive, unhealthy, hard to look at, and a big personal failing, yet you have pushed on to get as fat as possible. I can’t imagine its easy to just ignore the day to day social pressures (because even when people aren’t saying it, we know they’re thinking it) — wondering how you have managed to push on despite the societal tide?

I have no clue if this is an underserved niche for realsies or just to me, but.

need more fics of James Bond breaking into Q's flat. but not just for, like, to force Q to stitch him up or to proposition him or whatever. But just to hang out lol. Like full on, "new stray cat that showed up one day and I guess I have another cat now?" He is just there to hang out maybe nap and sometimes bother Q's cats and also Q himself. and also eat his food. But at least he also *brings* food too, and, idk, sometimes he cooks? so I guess that's.... okay...? (<- Q trying to justify this to himself lmao)

Q is suddenly like. I guess I kind of have a roommate now that isn't fully a roommate cuz he doesn't really live here all the time except maybe he might as well do? lowkey I do still picture Bond disappearing at night, like, he doesn't stay the night. at least at first. very much the way a visiting cat/new friendly stray on the block would.

And then one day (night). Q has some emergency to take care of or sth and is working late, but ig it's not so bad that he can't work from home about it. And he stumbles out of his home office to go to his kitchen. and stops dead in his tracks cuz. there is James Bond, conked out on his sofa, one cat on his chest the other like, almost sitting on his head. Q, befuddled,. just goes to his linen closet and gets an extra blanket and covers him properly (and tucks him in) cuz the throw blanket is okay, but like throw blankets tend to be, lowkey on the smaller side, so like. tuck him in and make him comfy

and then Bond becomes more and more of "guess you are *my* cat now?"

and also at some point they get together, too, I guess, lol. But I think somehow they end up in bed together (literally in bed together) first, before it progresses to that point lol

My biggest theory for Horizons right now is that we're going to get a revelations about Roy's parents at some point. Particularly about their current status, which I believe to be dead.

I don't have any real evidence for this, but I do think it would work well narratively.

I never found the explanation of his parents absence satisfying. There felt like there were unanswered questions. While the Pokémon world has long been established to be a world where the threshold for parental neglect is a lot higher than the real world, and parents working away from home is incredibly normalized, his parents just leaving for years on end while their kid is still small seems a bit past that. Especially with how much Horizons is leaning into these kids being cared for by adults. So while I can absolutely believe that really is all to the story, that Roy's parents really are just away at sea. I also would not be surprised if there was more to it. I hope there is more to it.

Mega Voltage seems to be giving Roy a bit more of the spotlight so I think bigger focus on his situation, including his feelings on his parents absence WOULD be appropriate, especially as it relates to Friede's "death".

We know that part of how Roy handled Friede's death was mimicking him even harder than before. His vest reminiscent of Friede's jacket, his Mega Evolution mantra mimicking Friede's Terastalization mantra (both using a form of the world "koeru" or "exceed"), when Roy's Terastalization mantra had been unrelated, and the fact that he's the one who has taken Pikachu I think really shows how Roy has coped with Friede's death. Living in a way that invokes Friede's memory, trying to live up to his legacy. Even in ways that Roy wouldn't know about, such as shouting "Found you" at Liko on the school roof speaks to how Roy is trying to fill those shoes.

But also notably, Roy's singing seems to be an actual song now. At least, the song he sang to calm down the wild Pokémon. And even more notably, was the song he sang with his parents. Even in his gym battle with Ryme he didn't sing the songs actual lyrics. But (and I may be misremembering) this is the first time that song has been sang properly since we learned of it in episode 62. So for him to start singing the song, with words his parents used to sing feels like he's channeling their memory in a much more open way as well. He sang it on the island as a kid, but not after he left it.

I also think it would make for an interesting way for Skeledirge's ghost type to come into play, if even in a minor way. The way the kids stories match their partners has been impeccable. Liko's Sprigatito being a capricious cat to foil Liko's own uncertainties and indecisiveness before Liko grew more driven and ruthless, and also Hattena being a healer, who tends to beat her enemies into submission really shows Liko's nature as a kindhearted girl whose capable of being quite firm in her beliefs, and can be even ruthless in her determination to get what she wants despite starting out as someone who struggled to stand up for herself. Wattrel's own inability to get past its fears to do something it was quite capable of in stark contrast to Roy's tendency to overestimate his abilities. Fuecoco not only matching Roy in admiration of Friede and Charizard, and in love of song, but perhaps in a connection to past souls?

As for how I think they'll die, I think it'll probably be a simple lost at sea, but if they REALLY wanted to go hard maybe his parents death was related to something Exceed/Explorers did. Give Roy an even more personal connection to this story, though I don't think he necessarily needs one. But we still don't really have much explanation for why Friede and Roy's grandfather know each other, so that also seems like a plot thread that could get revisited. I hope we overall just get a bit more Roy lore.

I sometimes think its weird that everyone must have a 'favourite doctor'. I get the appeal, but how its so wide spread baffles me.

Theyre all one person, in the end, with each regeneration being all that came before and more, and a little different due to the experiences they had and the people theyve met, just how I am different from when I was 15 years old, but still the same.

I have a favourite doctor for conveniency reasons, mostly, 12- but even then, whats a 'favourite doctor'. My favourite performance? My favourite to have a fun time with? My favourite to make me aspire to be better? My favourite to laugh, my favourite to cry for? Theyre all different. I love 12 as much as I love 1 or 2 or 3 or 4. Maybe I have incarnations I dont feel as strongly for, but thats usually out of unfamiliarity with all they went through and by such an inability to truly grasp who the doctor was when they wore that face (e.g. my only experience with 8 being the tv movie) or because they amplify parts of the doctor Im less fond of (e.g. six being a little mean).

But in the end, theyre all of it anyway? All of the Doctor is mean, whether its the first doctor or the sixth or the tenth, all doctors are kind, whether its the second or fourth or 12th or 14th, all of the doctor has experienced grief, all of them is strong willed, brave, afraid.

I like the idea of having a 'favourite'. To me its a little like your favourite actors role, I love david tennants hamlet more than I like his alec hardy, but I still love his acting, period.

But this obsession of needing a favourite doctor, of needing to love one part of this beautiful, incredible character more than others, often it feels unfair to who they are. This grand person being reduced to a few years of their endlessly long life. To a single face.

Maybe that's what feels so real about thoschei. Companions tend to get attached to a face. To this one part. To the master the current doctor's body is secondary.

"Doesn't matter which face he was wearing, they're all the Doctor to me."

And they are, in fact, all the Doctor.

At the start of every life, a different permanent buff is rolled. They’d be 2 extra hearts, 2 extra hunger, 1 extra inventory column, and 1 extra point of Armor. These buffs stay between lives, and can stack.

If someone is lucky, they could get a permanently 3 armor, 6 hearts, or 9 inventory spaces. It would be interesting to see if/how the mechanic would affect alliances…
