Ok ok we know Ford's got a praise kink

Let me add my own angsty twist on it (starts out fine, turns at the end)

He's doing well in college, puffs out his chest with pride when a teacher congratulates him, maybe stammers a bit when a girl compliments his work

Fidds for help on a project, ofc Ford helps, his smile lingers for the rest of the night after his input helps Fidds

Maybe one late night when they're both studying and tired, without even really putting too much thought into it, Fidds compliments Ford, saying something along the lines of "You're just so good at this-" when he struggles on Ford's favorite subject. Ford just stands there, frozen as he feels that compliment snuggle itself into his chest, taking home right by his heart

When he moves to gravity falls, there's less praise, less compliments, more side ways stares and whispers. He ignores them, they simply don't understand. But the questions they ask him, it's like they're speaking different languages, his answers take 20+ minutes just to explain how the question didn't make sense. He's used to the looks, doesn't mean he likes them.

Then Bill shows up. Someone who understands. After years of winning chess against himself, taking detailed notes on things only he seems to care about, there's someone else who can talk to him. Someone who not only meets his intellect, but exceeds it. Who will answer his questions- or even better, leaves him puzzles to solve. Puzzles that, according to Bill, are simple. There's more complicated things to learn!

And the entire time? Bill compliments Ford, praises him. Tells him that he isn't just weird, he's Smart and his weirdness doesn't change him, it makes him special. Bill tells him that he's doing good when he solves the puzzles. He's a genius above the rest.

How could anyone be so kind and intelligent and interesting? Any being this intriguing must be a higher power- a god!

Bill tells Ford that he's skilled, talented. How could Ford even think to question a god? The center of his world shines warm heavenly praise onto him, and he's soaking it all in.

One night- Bill says words that have Ford freezing in place, warmth washing over him. Such simple words to, who knew Ford liked being called a good boy this much? Bill knew- he knew Ford craved compliments, he was essentially addicted to praise, craving it endlessly. Starving for affection- leaning into touches without realizing it. Turning his head further into Bills hand without noticing he had moved. Rubbing his cheek into Bills carress almost shamlessly, blush tinting his skin with a faint pink. Sighing deeply when Bills arms wrapped round and around his limbs and torso- letting himself be manhandled by his godly muse. If his muse spoke only the truth, then all that praise must be a divine ruling from the very god he worshipped.

That's why the betrayal hurt so much- not only because he had been used and intended to be tossed aside, but because all those nights filled with praise were truly filled with lies. How could such sweet nothings that were worth the world's weight in gold, really mean nothing?

Those pretty words dripping with honey washed away to reveal that they were just a thin layer to cover the poison at it's core. The praise and loving words Ford had craved all his life, that were blessed unto him from his wondrous muse, was just barely veiled deceptions that sunk into his heart like a barbed hook.

After that? Praise rang hollow to him. Nothing but colorful flowers with thorns, glistening with poisonous nectar. The enticing colors were a warning, one he saw in every shade from the blandest beiges and greys to the most vibrant violets and golds.

He learned that praise could only drip with venom, and to assume otherwise would be to eat those colorful petals and cut his gums on the thorns.

i know i don’t usually sadpost on main, this blog is my silly little play place and i hate to kill the vibe, but. i dunno. i’m just having a really tough few days.

it’s difficult to go into detail, mostly because the way it happened was so complicated and confusing, but last night my mother rejected me for being trans. pretty harshly. i wasn’t even coming out, i officially came out for the first time in middle school, this wasn’t news, but she pretended it was, and went back on every single previous conversation and bit of progress.

i already wasn’t in a great place. it’s been a really difficult year for my mental health, and i’m struggling a lot with my senior year of college. obviously the election was a gut punch. so i just feel like i’ve been kicked while i’m down.

i’m not even totally sure why i’m posting this. i guess it just feels better to air it. i’m having such a hard time processing it, it’s like i just have to keep repeating it out loud. sorry for that.

i don’t know. i’ll try to get back to goofing around soon. i like having fun with you guys and i don’t want to just wallow in how bad this feels, so hopefully we can get back to sillier posts tomorrow, but. yeah. i guess if anyone’s been wondering how i’m doing, that’s just my update

Kayne’s bored. He’s passing through universes, he’s killing all versions of himself, he’s dissecting different Arthur’s left and right like the guy’s a frog. But he’s bored as hell.

so why not fuck up a timeline? Why not shadow Arthur’s footsteps his whole life, get to him before Parker does. Kayne’s his savior, thank you, now get on your knees.

Arthur never recovers the way he does with Parker, and Kayne has no intention of letting him. He leads Arthur to a cult in his name, whispering pretty words in his ear. Salvation doesn’t work, but the opportunity to forget sure does.

Arthur’s a drunk. And hey, drugs were rampant in the dirty corners of the city, and they made Arthur quiet.

Kayne is his god now, and he’s feeling a little less bored. This Arthur ate from his palm now, worshipped his name, and things were looking up for Kayne.

now this all stemmed from an idea where Arthur is on his knees weakly calling out for Kayne, intoxicated out of his fucking mind, and Kayne ignores him until he breaks

however if we’re asking for proper plot, there could be the Parker comes in guns blazing etc etc. OR we can move to good old New York and the police bust the area (cue Detective Noel)

and we can have like a Noel/Oscar/Arthur situation trying to reverse all the damage Kayne had done to him

just saw ppl saying "-10000 RP" and "i can't believe bbh ditched his team for the christmas event" like. dude. you obviously do not watch him and don't understand why he does anything he does and you have a bias against him so you read everything he does as negative. like.

1-really really wanted to do the christmas event but supported his whole team through the big event.

2-got on early so it makes sense for him to conserve time. He has faith in his team to survive and plans to get back on later.

4-has established canon-plausible reasons that his character in QSMP and his character in Purgatory 2 both exist and that they share knowledge to a degree. 1/3 of qBBH, the more violent and brutal side, is in Purgatory. the other 2/3 is on Quesadilla. There are overlaps in their knowledge.

Like I get you guys don't know all of his lore but seriously. Maybe try not assuming every thing bbh does has negative intent. Just admit you don't like him and move on, stop trying to justify it with things you know nothing about.

hey @staff @humans i have a genuine question because this might be a real issue. the phrasing of this message leads me to believe that if i clicked reblog with those tags a community label would have been added to this post despite me not having manually added a label. in fact, on desktop you can't even add a community label unless you add something to the body of the reblog. even then it's still required to select the specific category for the label. this message doesn't give me any information on what type of label it would be receiving. additionally, this seems like it could cause a lot of issues for people getting their posts unfairly flagged. i didn't want to add a community label to this post, i wanted to properly tag it so that 1) i can organize my blog and access it later if need be and 2) so my followers can filter out the tag of their own volition rather than have OP's post flagged against their will. we already have the issue of many trans women's selfies being unjustly flagged as mature, this just seems like another way to abuse the flagging system.

For all intents and purposes, this is a "community project". I am willing and able to create and maintain the required override, the hundreds upon hundreds of unique 9-digit "IDs" for the "TagValueNumber", and the unique Strings, etc., but I can't possibly override every custom CAS item in existence.

Help me make this a reality, and also, keep your fingers crossed that the override doesn't break under the weight of the hundreds upon hundreds of entries I'm adding to it.

Oh hai, @sims4studioofficial. Can you add a BATCH FIX that <LOOKS THROUGH MY WISH LIST> allows us to add a "SpecialContent" TAG with a custom "TagValueNumber" to a whole folder of CAS mods? Even if you can't get the "CategoryNumber" to copy properly, a BATCH FIX will at least eliminate half the busywork.

🎓 HOW IT DO, PIKACHU:

If you're well-versed in creating or modifying CAS content, all you need to do is add a new TAG to your swatches - you can do just the first swatch, but you should do all swatches - and change the "CategoryNumber" to "127" (without the quotes), and change the "TagValueNumber" to the desired 9-digit "ID".

For everyone else who is new to this, instructional screenshots have been provided under the spreadsheet. Don't forget to grab the JSON files and toss them into "Documents\Sims 4 Studio\Custom Tags"to make life easier.
