I wouldn't say Dostoblr has nothing to offer, I mean it's definitely not as active as it was a few months ago but I think it's normal, some times of the year are busier than others so people spend less time on social media due to work or school or personal stuff in general. For example I have some drafts that I haven't been able to finish and post for months now and I have no idea when I'll get to because I have other things on my mind rn; it just happens.

Honestly, for the fandom of a Russian novel written in 1879 that consists of like a dozen people I'd say we're doing quite well. And also: be the change you want to see! I'm sure you have something to offer, be it memes or fan fictions or fan art or moodboards/aesthetics or playlists or literary analysis or whatever else I might have missed, everyone has something to add to the conversation.

Oh, how do I even start? Since you're new I'll have to gather some well- known facts about me.

My name is Val. You may refer to me with he/him. My first language is Spanish. I'm about to graduate in Philosophy, drawing has been my hobby since I have memory and I love classic literature. I also hope to get back into gaming one day. My username, gegengestalt, comes from a phenomenology- related German term I heard in class that I probably misheard. I thought it sounded cool and decided to make it my username. My other socials are in my pinned post.

The author I've read the most is Fyodor Dostoyevsky and The Brothers Karamazov specifically has a room of its own in my heart since April 2022. My favourite character is Mitya Karamazov and I draw him all the time, often with Grushenka (who I really love as well).

On Monday, you may see me mention something called Lymph Node Monday. The origin of this is an inside joke about Rakitin examining Mitya's lymph nodes as a scientific demonstration. As you can see, I'm pretty chill when it comes to shipping culture and will "ship" anything that I find slightly appealing, specially if it involves characters I'm invested in. I joke around a lot in this blog, you can find serious analysis in @confessionofanardentheart, though it's currently on hiatus because university is kicking my ass.

I don't have any religious beliefs and I was raised atheist. However, I have great interest in metaphysics as well as the history of religions.
