Will you be doing an OFMD calendar for 2024?

The 2023 pin-up calendar was a collab between many artists for charity, and one that we had a lot of fun making. It was a lot of work but totally worth it - we ended selling more physical copies than I ever thought we would and raised $750 for Rainbow Railroad!

As far as I know, there were never any firm plans to do another one for 2024.

I was so busy at the end of last year that I didn't even think about it... I bought a house in December, so that whole process consumed ALL of my brainpower for months beforehand haha.

For what it's worth, the 2023 calendar (and all of the beautiful art inside) is available to download for free in my shop!

Artemis totally speak about it with Warriors and Impa and make them promise they would protect her son is he has ever a son one day.

Flora, wondering if it's her fault. Wondering why her dad did that. Hoping that he didn't know about it. And Wild being horrified.

Dawn and Aurora ...well that' a mess for them too. because one of them has had her twin brother killed but a little brother spared? WHY? Why hert twin had to die then?

All the Zelda, meeting Legend: One Of Us

Honestly, that would be awful. Some of them would have no clue until they were told and others might actively remember what happened. None of them was able to do anything about it, and they all would feel guilty that they couldn't save a sibling despite saving their kingdoms.

I do feel like, if they did meet Legend with such knowledge, and realized what he is, they would all sort of cling onto him because meeting him is the closest they will ever have to meeting their brothers, and maybe they decide to direct all the feelings about the whole thing onto him.

Maybe some of them would resent him a bit, for living when their brothers had to die, but given that most of the princesses are pretty mature, I think the majority would rather get to know him and ask to spend time with him, even though they know he's not what they lost, but everyone grieves in their own way, yeah?

If it was that common though, it would be interesting to see why all princes are killed in such a world, especially if they were essentially the other half of a pair that always comes into being. Like, my theory about why princes are killed works in a world where they are rare, but in a world where they're a constant? Somehow, I have a feeling it would be even darker than what I imagined T-T

That said, I'm now imagining a world where Artemis does have a son and Warriors somehow ends up having to run away with the kid and raise him, Uncle Aflon style, and meeting the chain with said baby in hand. Like, that scarf is definitely baby-swaddling material but I'm also a sucker for Dad Wars, and also, the angst potential? All around?!?!?!?! I'm in love!

Hi! Me again! So, just out of curiosity, would you happen to have a general floor plan or site plan of the overall waterpark and maybe the hotel? (I saw the floor plan for the hotel room and started wondering how the hotel connects to the waterpark). Also, are Sun and Moon only in charge of the waterpark portion?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it just occured to me that Yakko's the least "personal" one among the three Warners. I'm mostly referring to the 90s version, but we see glimpses of Wakko's daily life without his siblings several time in the show (ten short films about Wakko Warner, bingo, ups & downs, etc) and Dot has her little poetry corner and songs about herself (I'm cute, Dot's quiet time, etc). Meanwhile, it's as if Yakko never drops his "persona": he never sings about himself, we never see him alone unless it's for an educational song or a sketch where he's speaking to the "camera". The only exceptions are his therapy sessions with Scratchy, but even then, those typically end with him introducing the next cartoon. Am I missing some moments? (I know this is probably to highlight he's the "spokeperson" of the group, but it feeds into the fanon idea that he never lets his guard down)

You're very right! This plays a big part in where that fanon idea comes from- you never feel like you're seeing the real Yakko, at least not all of him. His entire life seems to just be his siblings and his show. He talks a lot, but it's always about others, rarely revealing anything about himself or his inner thoughts. I don't recall a time in the original show where we saw any of his personal hobbies, except like, playing paddleball? Meanwhile, like you alluded to, we know Wakko and Dot's hobbies pretty well. This leads to his characterization in fan works as being someone who puts almost all of his time into his "work"- writing songs and taking care of the sibs.

He didn't really have any individual segments in the original show, as you said. I guess because he was already seen as the face of the show, the one who got the most focus by default, so they didn't feel the need to carve out time to specifically focus on him. There is one personal activity I'm remembering right now- sometimes we see him reading newspapers by himself. That's about it.

Yakko is also a very social creature. He probably has a hard time having fun if there's no one around to enjoy it with. Wakko and Dot have solitary activities they do, but he always prefers to spend time with his siblings, or pick on some stranger, because silent alone time is probably boring for him. This is why he can sometimes be portrayed as clingy or overly protective of his sibs- without them constantly around, he doesn't see much fun in life. Besides the fact that he canonically deeply loves them, of course.

We get a more personal glimpse of Yakko in Wakko's Wish. Even then, his life pretty much just seems to revolve around caring for his siblings. So yeah. That's pretty much just how he is. In the reboot he still watches the news and also watches very long educational documentaries by himself.

You could pretty much say that when it comes to his rare alone time, he prefers to consume chill content that makes him learn something. That's about it.

A friend and I were watching Little Shop of Horrors on a website frequented by sailors under a black flag but anyway we were nearing the end of the movie and Audrey was dying and I was like huh I thought she survived and my friend was also very confused like "hey this isn't how the scene is supposed to go" but I remembered reading about a second, apocalypse ending of the movie that was different from the theatrical release, which somehow we had stumbled upon by pure accident

So we both watched on in increasing distress and disbelief as Audrey II proceeded to eat Audrey, then Seymour, then be sold as a million tiny Aubrey II's that proceeded to have extended monster-movie montages of taking over various cities and landmarks and fighting the military

And at least I had some sort of knowledge this was a thing that existed but my friend just stumbled into watching the existential horror version of a beloved childhood favorite.

the after-sex couch scene has been sort of very quietly eating away at me. it just... it starts out sweet, domestic, it feels right. theyre both blissed out, with their messy hair and blushed cheeks and affection. but theyre sitting so far apart, no point of contact, already theres distance between them. and after months of pining, shouldnt they be in each other's arms, all hugs and warmth and please dont let me go, please dont go again? and the thing is, this whole scene is all about Truths. 'how wonderful it is being here with you'. 'yes it really is my first time w a woman'. 'im an open book (read me! read me!!!)'. 'telling the truth gets me in trouble'. 'i like when u tell me the truth'. 'hey, maybe i have fancied a girl before'. but then! but then there's the Other Truths, the truths that mirror their relationship, predict the outcome of things. lisa's doubts at anything carla says ('idk why would anyone?' 'oh right, i very much doubt that'). 'ill use your description of me on my dating profile'. 'she treated me like dirt and i still liked her'. 'loving someone like you is too much trouble for someone like me'. and the whole conversation is just masked by this feeling of elatedness, of satisfaction, of this finally happened, im finally here, with you, really with you, with you the way ive been wanting to be with you for months. but when you start listening, actually listening to their admissions and you see past the haze of contentedness, all youre left with is this has an expiration date, one of us will walk away again, youre gonna treat me like dirt and im gonna crawl back to you, we're gonna be over before we even begin. and then the first one to break out of that bubble, to stand up and leave is obviously lisa. and then she gets betsys text and she knows its over. and yes, for lisa this is dead, but carla? carla still hopes despite the truth being there all along. it's too much like hard work.

howdy! I hope you’re having a good day!

in honor of nurses week, have a silly little prompt that’s been in my head all day— what gifts do the healthcare chain get for nurses week, and how do they react?

(I’m thinking like, receiving a rock with a paper that says “you ROCK” taped to it. this year, we all received expired gum. <3)

HA GOSH I wish I had time to write something for this before the week is over but I don’t think I will so I’ll just do bullet points

Pizza party for day shift in the ED. Leftovers for night shift. Legend is pissed

The manager showed up to one (1) night shift in the ICU and brought donuts and handed out pens. Four does like pens, so he was pretty chill with it, but actually what would be nice would be better protocols for the combative patients that Four’s been dealing with lately. Also he’s sad that he wasn’t on the day shift rotation because they got all kinds of goodies every day and the cafeteria did free lunch one day. (Legend’s pissed about that too)

Warriors took the entire week off and just drank every night to celebrate (and harassed Legend)

Ilia got a packet of stickers for nurse’s week. Dot, like Four, got a pen, except hers didn’t even work. (Four gave her his pen <3)

Fable was too busy to even know it was nurse’s week, she was taking care of an ECMO patient who kept trying to die. Girl didn’t even get a lunch break for her three days. But management gave her a thumbs up so hey! There’s that! (Legend told her to take a piece of cold pizza from the ED when she got off, but it was almost all gone by the time she got there)

Time made dinner for Malon and paid for her to get a massage because he’s a good husband <3 But also the OR provided food for all the nurses the entire week because the OR is freaking bougie and makes all the money for the hospital so they’re spoiled (Again, Legend is pissed)

Expired gum, dang XD I got a “happy nurses week” on Sunday night and then promptly forgot it was nurses week. I’m spending my time picking up extra shifts at the squad instead 🥲 We’ll see if there’s anything when I get back to the unit on Friday lol

I am intrigued by the free coffee Starbucks is supposedly giving out though 👀 (Legend would’ve preferred that)
