2nd Gen Shawpack Pookies

I’ve had them in my notes for AGES and I’ve still yet to finish a design, but i do intend on creating little skits of them cuz of how much I’ve invested giving them all personalities and pinterest boards. (If this isn’t me exhibiting my deep love for the Redactedverse idk what is)

Some descriptions are longer than the others, I’ve obviously put more thought into certain characters

•Shaw Twins

- both children are sadly ungifted in the kitchen, despite the fact that David has made them his little helpers when since they were little. Multiple flames have been put out because of them.

-Both do share a love for nature like their father.

Gabriella Shaw (Gabby)🫶🏻

- Angel carbon copy with a dash of Gabriel’s silliness and courage, which always made David smile.

- Natural born Leader. Despite being the eldest child (4 fucking minutes) David has never burdened them with the responsibility or thought of inheriting the business. She stepped into the leadership role on her own, with more brighter approach, personality wise.

- Rollerskates, Angel started taking her to roller rinks since age 6 and she loves taking Lyss and KC with her

Callum Grey Shaw 🌱

-Yes he’s named after the sweet Caelum. David wanted to commemorate his childhood friend.

- Inherited David’s resting bitch face, if you point it out he’ll even growl like he does.

- Great Observer. Because his sister was the more outgoing one of them, he was always the listener, making him more emotionally aware, noticing things most people miss.

- Loves sitcoms. He’s probably watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine so many times he can name episodes in order. This also translates his love for the security company his dad runs. Always begging David to take him to work with him. (I think we know who inherits the company)

•Talbot Troop

-Asher is the only one I picture having multiple kids with a range of age gaps.

-No doubt the most outgoing ones of the pack.

- Foodie

Kelcee Talbot (KC/CeeCee) 🧠

- Designated driver of the group

- Straight A student. When she was young she’d share all the interesting facts she’d pick up on to her parents and it always astounded Asher, how she can command a room, especially being the SOMEWHAT, mellow one among the three.

Oliver James Talbot (OJ/Ollie) 🪲

- Very inquisitive

- Youngest of the pack (the only 7yr old in a group of 17 year olds)

- Has a special bond with Alyssa

Alyssa Marie Greer 💥

-Now while i think of Milo and SW as the D.I.N.K (dual income, no kids) couple, and i will somewhat always think that, but— this name crossed my head and I just cannot let it go. IT HONORS MARIE OK—

-Unsurprisingly is always the best dressed. Milo is very proud.

-Has a very ‘takes no bull personality’ making them the most intimidating out of group.

- The code name speaks for itself, he is very much like his old man when it comes to ensuring his friends don’t do anything stupid, and in the very common occasions they do, he of course serves them with a patented Collins lecture.

- He may be half vamp, but that doesn’t mean he has to have a mundane food pallet, this man can COOK and bake, a soft, crispy shelled sourdough being one of his specialties

- sarcastic, confident, somewhat frivolous, despite his royal status, which gets him in trouble for

- May or may not have a thing for the alpha’s daughter.

And I want to start posting about my next gen OCs, specifically those I have dubbed “Class 3-A” so this is going to serve as a character introduction under the cut, with a brief description of all 20 characters quirks and parents (if their parents are canon characters).

Quirk: Chemical Fire. By creating various chemicals and igniting them he can produce various types and colors of flames

Parents: Shoto Todoroki and Momo Yaoyorozu

Midoriya Toshinori-

Quirk: Telekinesis. If he touches something or someone with all 5 fingers at once then he can control its movements with his mind for the next hour, though he can only actively move so much matter at a time

Parents: Izuku Midoriya and Ochako Uraraka

Kirigou Hana-

Quirk: Shrapnel. She has the ability to cause explosions that shoot off tiny bits of hardened material from her hands

Parents: Katsuki Bakugou and Eijiro Kirishima

Quirk: Engine. His quirkless mother paired with the dominance of the Iida Engine quirk led to his quirk being Identical to his fathers.

Quirk: Electricity. It works just like her father’s but her threshold is significantly higher than her father’s and can usually do about 2 full force discharges before short-circuiting

Quirk: Dark Shadow. Her “Dark Shadow” is more frog-like in appearance though Toshiko herself looks like a perfectly normal human despite her parents’ mutations.

Quirk: Glue trap. She can secrete a glue like substance of varying levels of stickiness like her mother can secrete acid

Quirk: Dupli-self. He can create extras of any body part throughout his body, though he does still have his father's extra default arms.

Quirk: Pheromones . She can shoot off animal pheromones the way her mother can shoot off spores.

Ojiro Ayame-

Quirk: Light bend. She can bend light around herself and others, allowing her to not only turn herself or others within a 4 foot radius of her invisible, she can also use it to make flash attacks to disorientate or blind people. Unlike her mother she can turn her invisibility off.

Quirk: Fierce Wings. Exact same as her fathers

Quirk: Energy Force Bow: She can create a bow and arrow made out of energy. The amount of energy she has is based off of her caloric intake.

Quirk: Copy-card: They can copy someone’s quirk which is represented as a playing card. If she activates a card she can use that quirk for up to 10 minutes. He can store up to a full deck of 52

Quirk: Steel Fist: She can enlarge her hands, like her mom, but doing so also causes her hands to get covered in a steel like substance.

Quirk: Crystal Bubbles: he can produce bubbles that play little scenes if possible outcomes of a given scenario. The larger and longer the bubble, the more likely it is to pass.

Quirk: Possession: He can control other people completely (the person becomes like an empty shell he can control physically and control their speech, once he gets some of his blood on them. However, he can only possess a person for up to 5 minutes before the strain it takes to control someone causes him to pass out and while under his control any injuries the possessed individual receives he will also receive.

Kurosawa Tsukikage-

Quirk: Shadow Puppet: They can give physical form to naturally occurring shadows and then control the physical shadows as if they were objects under the influence of telekinesis.

Quirk: Imperceptibly: He has the ability to make himself completely imperceptible to people within a given radiance for up to 3 minutes.

ghfjklgh I knooow! my tastes in kpop boys has not changed in a million years lmao; my favs back then were SuJu, 2pm and Infinite; annnd like that, a lot of old songs of SHINee, BigBang, 2NE1 and CNBlue are still my all-time favorites! Of the among us crew: Gen and Rösz are both transfem coded (crewmates don't have assigned genders.) Gen's gender identity is 'bastard' but they dress in a pretty feminine way. They also have this whole persona of being evil and terrible going on, but it's really just roleplay pretty much - they care abt Mályva a lot and being evil to him is how they show affection (he is into this.) They don't drop the bastard act very often, but their truer self shows through when they're sleepy and start to get downright cuddly.

Rösz, like most of the crewmates, doesn't have a gender identity, but they're sort of egg coded. They're nervous and a people-pleaser to the point of being a pushover, which resulted in them being in a pretty toxic partnership with Bianca for a while. After the rest of the crew realized this, they took some steps to fix things, and Indy started getting all sciency with Rösz, and she respects them a lot more than Bia did. Later on, Kaisla joins the crew and develops an interest in fashion, and decides to use Rösz as their model, which is how they discover their interest in cute outfits.

anyway, basically hylian courting is a lot shorter, think “lesbians with the uhaul” type of energy, like sort of the classical medieval “does thee wish to pursue marriage with this one?” ← how hylians ask u out for the first time lmao

if it helps, they do tend to get to know one another well, talking about morals/kids/life goals/preferred lifestyle/house/etc. pretty clearly and quickly, then using the in between time to sort of stew on that information

id say the total time is sort of something like 6 months? maybe 3/4 if they're really compatible

(so bc i love interpreting video game logic for real world building, I actually blame this on how fast Zelda/link get together in games despite having sometimes never met before that moment lol)

like i said, ill be posting about this later

pretty basic, just saying we don't really see hylians in big groups, despite the organizations they form, like kingdoms/knights or on a more personal level, towns/families/etc.

(once again, in-game appearances/video game logic translated to real life to draw these conclusions)

like not only are family units pretty small, like nuclear family setup, with like 2 parents and 2 kids, or single parent 1 kid type of situation, but the towns or collections of these families arent very big either

hylians kind of use their government the way it was intended lmao?

like the villages and towns matter more for everyday decisions than the kingdom/royalty, like Zelda would esstientally just be the mayor of Castle Town for those constant decisions,

while occasionally is called on to make decisions like for several towns or like is a natural disaster happens

meanwhile humans are, in comparison, in Way Bigger groups, both on an organization scale, and a personal scale

like u have all these specific branches of government, whereas im sure the population difference doesn't help,

and on a personal level, humans can easily have like multiple parents, lots of siblings, and once u combine that with each parent having family too, and those families like to meet up? All together??

yeah, itd look insane to any hylians (who’s smaller extended family may just make up their own village and that's it)

3. I've touched on this

like the use of spices, syrups, seasonings, etc

but also the complexity of dishes too, like chilling cream and mixing it for awhile to make ice cream, or even just getting ordering a pizza,

that's a lot of processing, like making the dough from flour and other ingredients, to letting it rise, to making the tomato paste, making cheese, then combining those things with any other toppings, all into one dish??

i like to think that hylians have only just started to touch on actual complicated cooking processes (as in BOTW, where they sell flour and salt, so people besides Link/Wild must know what to do with it)

this has the advantage of impressing any hylian with what a “creative genius” you are lol

4. look im just a fan of medieval time periods Links

so i think its funny if the hylians are used to like 4/3 layers and ur over here like, “wym, if i take off my shirt there's nothing underneath?”

one of them gets bold enough to ask, “d-do you not. do you not have undergarments??”

you “just my boxers? like just to cover my di-”

also this makes its easy to seduce people here? LMAO

clothes are def higher quality, after all there's not as many artificial processes or materials interfering,

plus u usually get some sick embroidery on it too!!

5. so like i get it, Link is the main fighter in games

but like, the few times there is a war/army in loz games, there's rlly not a lot of strategy, beyond just finding the enemy and fighting

tho im partial to that hylians/most inhabitants of Hyrule abide by the “lets meet up either literally by inviting each other or just between our territories to fight”

with occasional guerilla warfare (by any means necessary/stealth/ambush attacks/strategy) that's only rlly used either by Demise/Ganon, or by the wilder individuals/races in games

or maybe even the more civilized fighters in an emergency

and so that means by this logic that all of the Chain use kind of wild techniques compared to their race/kingdom lmao

id imagine its not too surprising to also see “every fight is a bar fight if its for my life” from individual travelers, so im sure they're not viewed too crazy (esp when ppl know their the hero that constantly has to deal with guerilla warfare from Ganon)

but its be hilarious to watch the reactions of both the Links realizing they’re in a bigger group that should be using “proper” fighting strategies and seeing the general publics reaction to this absolutely feral, armed to the teeth, trained hylians with their equally wild human lol

LMAO everyone thinks ur the reason they started using the more brutal fighting methods bc ur human, ur a bad influence lol

(humans would use it primarily, esp after we converted to use that method in warfare a couple hundred years ago i think?)

changing course a bit, hylians tend to use weapons (to compensate for difference in strength compared to humans, and since they don't experience/get a lesser version of adrenaline)

while humans tend to equally rely on weapons and our body as a weapon (marital arts/basic self-defense)

6. this is mostly bc the hylians only rlly seem to have the basics of music, books/stories, theater, and art

i have, surprise surprise, another post abt how i think this came to be,

mostly based on how human curiosity is indomitable and insatiable and the endless force that has not yet met its immovable object.

or at least an immovable object they haven't at least poked a little, out of curiosity lol

like we went to space for that reason, we reach the most dangerous corners of our planet (deep underwater/volcanoes) out of sheer curiousity/for the sake of simple knowledge of the thing

so needless to say, curiosity can absolutely drive any field to its limits, including the arts, which is why we can have stained glass, or movies/tv shows, hell, the marvel that is Hatsune Miku lmao

(fully for entertainment, a projection of light and sound, what is essentially magical illusions but u did it hte hard way, to the hylians)

on a different entertainment related note, i don't know if the hylians would be super into sports, or not really at all? mostly bc they have to use their fighting/training against real threats, not the sort of “fake” threats that sports are

but on the other hand i could see people like knights wanting to use their abilities for something other than violence and fighting bc their life or their villages lives depended on it

bet the Links would enjoy it for those reasons especially, what with at least sumo wrestling being a sport or activity for them at some point in history, and practically beg u for any new games to play, or to ref their games, bc whewwww

im sure they could get pretty competitive lol

7. obviously, their mostly influenced by the Japanese language

id almost like to imagine a sort of, if not outright Japanese (like with earlier heroes like Sky) then a sort of English-Japanese hybrid further along the line

sort of like how English has German/Greek/Latin roots and therefore u can see what words or structure comes from where, or even how u can understand a fair amount of basic words when other languages share the same roots (english, pants = spanish, pantalones)

would make for some funny miscommunications

or even better, most hylians liking ur unique accent or the Links love to hear u talk bc of it lol

Hello! after seeing the translation req from the anon in the server and your reply to them, I considered asking for the same here. I'd like if you translated FP's 2nd stage song, 'bunch of roses', although I understand that you're not able to focus on this currently but I considered dropping in the req anyway. Thank you!!!

I always get tripped up by FP songs because they're so vibes-dependent... Much of what makes them fun is the rhyme and wordplay, and without that, I feel like you're losing half the song. So for this translation, I incorporated simple rhyme and wordplay whenever the song uses either. I also tried to line up rhymes with the source whenever possible--ie, if someone says something weird for rhyming purposes in Japanese, that's where the rhyme would go in English. I did not incorporate rhythm or line length considerations because that way madness lies... (*cough* the beast of Torima sitting in my drafts *cough*) Finally, I made an effort to avoid my usual verbosity/line bloating with...somewhat middling results...and made an effort to stick very close to the source. I'm attempting a style more similar to Hypmic_en/official subs, basically.

Instances where I added ideas or wanted to talk about interesting wordplay are noted in the extensive notes. Casual readers are encouraged to skip them; I have made no egregious additions to the text.

The somewhat twee nature of this TL is the byproduct of me rhyming and not being an especially good writer haha. Similarly, slightly inconsistent character voice are byproducts of my limited abilities. I feel like this would be less obvious in subtitle form, but... Oh well. To the song!

Notes: [1] わがのまま (waganomama, as we please) is evocative of わがまま (wagamama, willful). Wagamama often contains a childish connotation, hence why it's often used around Fling Posse and Ramuda in particular. It also means plentiful, which in this case suggests lots and lots of flowers blooming in many colors. Both the notions of lots of color and possessing a strong individual will, even if it's not as conformist as is maybe socially acceptable, are bylines running through the song.

[2] The chorus makes multiple plays on the similarity between バラ (bara, rose) and バラバラ (barabara, varied). Something that's barabara evokes an image of something scattered, like many flowers growing in different places before being gathered together into a single bouquet. Interestingly, barabara is usually negative connoted, and I think it's fascinating how things like this and wagamama appear so often in the song. There's a sense that FP and the Shibuya residents being sung about are acknowledging some societal expectation they're failing to live up to, but from that failure blooms something beautiful.

[3] "One balance" isn't a common phrase in Japanese either, but I'm working off of the idea that it's a singular, shared sense of 調和 (being "balanced," being in accord, sharing common elements). Like a oneness or a harmonization, essentially.

[4] I added the "hectic" idea for the rhyme, but that appears constantly in FP songs, so I don't feel like it's putting words in the characters' mouths.

[5] Same barabara/bara wordplay.

[6] It's vague enough here that I could see an argument for Gentarou saying ideas in general spray out of and across Shibuya, but this particular word for forceful splatter is most often used when other things are caught in the crossfire. Like "So-and-so was hit by a spray of water/so-and-so was embroiled in the aftermath of the murder case." So I applied it to Dice's idea/habit of reneging his debts, but I'm not married to the concept, and you should expect to see it rendered other ways in other translations.

[7] Pairing as in food-wine pairing, which works well with FP's and Shibuya's urban image, but マリアージュ (mariaaju, marriage) is playfully worded enough for readers to take away shipping meanings if desired. Incidentally, "music-making clique" was added for the rhyme, but it's nothing that isn't suggested from the source line which is, more literally, "a hot lyrics-producing pairing"

[8] 泡沫 (utakata) is both literally a bubble on the surface of a liquid and something as short-lived or easily destroyed as said bubble. Because Gentarou mentioned the Udagawa river, I had the means to tie both concepts together. Whoo! The Udagawa river is a tributary of the Shibuya river, so I borrowed "tributary" for the rhyme.

[10] More like he has to compete vs. win outright, but I needed "win it" for the rhyme... Forgive me... (The "minute" is from the source's "every instant," so I couldn't drop that.)

[11] Gambling tales are 徒花 (adabana, colorful flowers that don't produce fruit; style over substance). My 色鮮やか (iroazayaka, colorful) friends, my 同胞 (harakara, brethren/homies but ~fancy~). Gentarou doesn't outright say the homies are better like I did, but the notion of color is supposed to make the reader compare the two, and it's in-character for Gentarou to love his homies. See the rest of the song for examples.

[12] This stood out to me as one of the most interesting lines in the whole song. "Let's mutually agree to be people that don't hurt one another." The "hurt" concept isn't for rhyme, so it feels very deliberate. I added the "friend" and "adored" bits for rhyme and flow; as ever, I don't think this is that OoC. (Although "adored" is a bit openly mushy for Gentarou. Eh. Fuck it.)

[13] This doesn't sound quite as wistful in the source, but it's close. Gentarou literally says "[When we part at an] intersection, we don't just go our separate ways" wherein the "go separate ways" is also meant figuratively to not see eye-to-eye, to not be of the same mindset. I unfortunately had to drop the "intersection" idea for space, but FP mentions intersections a lot in their songs, usually as a nod to Shibuya's infamously busy Scramble Crossing.

[14] Part of the reason they're yelling "Yeah!" is because it rhymes with the last syllable of each line. I briefly considered doing the same here (probably with "Word!"; "Yeah!" and "Yes!" are abysmal for rhyming) but that would have taken more time than I was willing to commit. I try to spend no more than an hour on song TLs to prevent overthinking and keep it fun haha.

[15] Technically more like "better than all the rest" but I needed the rhyme... The word Dice uses here, 独走 (dokusou), is interesting in that it ties back into the notion of being unique or atypical that pervades the rest of the song. Literally, to be 独走 is to be running far ahead of the pack to the point of outstripping them. Kind of a lonely concept, right? Hypmic often flirts with the notion of being so good that it's isolating, although this is most often used in MTR or Ichirou's songs. Incidentally, I added "dopest" in the next line because I thought "chicest" on its own would be too OoC for Dice, but I wanted that specific word for the Shibuya-ness of it haha. 粋 (iki, chicness, smartness, fashionableness) isn't hoity-toity enough in Japanese that it'd sound weird coming from Dice's mouth.

[16] Another extremely fascinating concept. This is very, very close to being exactly literal except for the addition of "Help us make this world not a myth" for rhyme (again, the text supports this) and swapping Gentarou's "is ever made fun of" to "is ever treated any worse." for rhyme. I would've preserved Gentarou's concept of being made fun of if it wasn't repeated right below as it feels very deliberate.

[17] More literally, "barabara (scattered, varied) people bundled together." Because I didn't preserve the scattering image earlier, instead focusing on its meaning, I once again prioritized meaning over image here.

[18] There's a "because we're friends" here I wasn't able to fit in, but I also think that's so apparent in the rest of the text (esp. with slight additions like the "friends" in Gentarou's line in 12) that I'm not concerned.

[19] The question of where the roses are being passed to is more nebulous in the source. I see a strong argument for suggesting it's being passed to the future (and there's even a ready rhyme via "posterity") but I'm interpreting this notion of "toward the future" like the characters themselves looking toward the future, striving, always pushing forward. I also see a great argument for it being more open-ended, like a bouquet ready to be passed to anyone who wants to come along and pick it up. I went for "between you and me" both for the rhyme and to suggest some of that openendedness, like it's passing around and around among the listeners and singers. We're all in the bunch of roses today, baby... Yeehaw.

🌿Hello! Gen. question: I was wondering why do so many whumpers write about abuse on minors? Most of the content I see in the tag revolves around children being harmed by adults (i.e: slavery, kidnapping, inc*st stuff, etc.) I know you've mentioned before that it can be a form of exposure therapy to those who have experienced things like this in the past (exposure therapy is super helpful) but I see a lot of stories that just kinda come off as fetish content. (I hope this doesn't come across as a stupid question, I'm still new to the genre so I just wanna know what to look out for)

Ok so answering this question is going to call me out repeatedly so lets have fun😅

I was a minor when most of my abuse happened so it's relatable. I was also abused as a young adult, so I also write YA whumpees.

One important message that whump fiction sends is "you did not deserve it." And it's easier to see that with a younger character.

Younger characters have a shorter history to write and fewer physical problems. They can bounce back from injuries quicker with fewer complications.

Specifically with rape: adults that have been raped often hear "why did you stay in that relationship?" "Why didn't you call the police?" When it's a child it's easier to start drawing those lines. They trusted the rapist, they were afraid to call the police, etc. and it still wasn't their fault.

Fetish content--Romance has the same issue. Basically, if the ultimate meaning in the book isn't conveyed properly, it looks like it's just smut. The meaning needs to be a strong recurring chord throughout the whole work (I think most writers pull this meaning to the forefront as they work through their 2nd draft--it's not always apparent when you're writing it the first time.)

Speaking of fetish and romance --think of how many books and movies feature underage protagonists in romantic relationships. But as long as the meaning of the book supercedes that, it doesn't matter, because the story is leading us through these relationships to reach this ultimate, important goal--communicating an abstract truth that could only be spoken through 60,000 words of fiction.

The truths whump authors are searching for are so deep that they require the most powerful, intense narrative tools to reach them. Good luck to us.

so martyn used to be in a (2nd-gen)group called "y.cast" in a different company than the one hes currently in, but when his contract ended he decided not to renew it, and left to his present company. hes still technically part of the group but bc his old company sucks they barely get to make any comebacks, so hes mostly focused on his soloist activities as "ITLW".

meanwhile, ren is in a (3rd-gen)group called "hct" as "RD"(hct is similar to nct, has a lot of members and lots of little sub-units), rens currently in a sub-unit called "hct nbh" and a duo called "octagon", hes the main-vocalist in both, and hes also an actor(id like to think that hes a bit like jongho from ateez, in that he likes to practice acting in the groups dorms, even back when he was still a trainee, and also bc main-vocal).

they had met each other before while promoting, but got really close when they were filming a K-drama together called "3rd Life" the first part of the life series, where they played "The King"(ren) and "The Hand"(martyn).

Now we've touched a little bit on the peashooter family, but now we must go to the very cute mushroom family-

I know I didn't really like- add on individually for the peashooter family, but for shrooms I will- (oh and- only the first game just cuz I think most people know the first game more...?)

Tw: brief hypnotizing, not necessarily breaking-in more like a pet who decided to wander into the house

Sun shroom- the mom of the family. Always smiling at you, and if you're scared in the night, or scared of the dark, it'll always be by your side, glowing brightly to comfort you. It tries to grow as fast it can, to produce more and more sun for you.

Puff shroom- the baby of the family. As a small, tiny little plant on the battlefield, and can only last for a certain amount of time, it relies a lot on you. It tries its very best to attack at the incoming zombies. And after every battle, (let's say they kinda just get exhausted instead of disappearing) it goes to you to take care of them. They're just a poor little shroom shroom!

Fume shroom- the eldest sibling of the family. With its wider melee range, and ability to go through screens, this shroom can be useful! And that's what it makes its entire personality about. They will attack like crazy, trying to kill off all the zombies as quickly as they possibly can. And after a successful battle, it won't actively try to receive praise/affection, but if you give it a head pat, it'll secretly be super happy.

Hypno-shroom- That one cousin no one really wants to talk to. They're a little goofy. But they get lonely sometimes. So please, give it some of your attention. It'll be really happy. May or may not try to hypnotize you into giving them more affection.

Scaredy-shroom- 2nd eldest sibling of the family. Doesn't like showing their face much. But in the occasions it does, it's quite friendly. Quite the chatterbox. Likes to hide under your bed.

A mixture of them!

I'm staring at the Dreambur AU I have (Strangers Vassal) and wondering if I should post what I had planned for it to look like. I'm struggling a lot with writing it, partially because I don't have a lot of people to bounce ideas off of, partially because it's an AU that would have a lot of fight scenes, something I don't have a lot of experience in and am unsure how to proceed with.

I really enjoy the concept of it, and I want to write for it, but it might once again turn into a bunch of shortfics in a series rather than the longfic I originally wanted. It's disappointing that I can't seem to consistently write longfics, but if I don't accept the limitation I might risk not getting anything done at all, and that's potentially more disappointing.

The Communication Knife AU is almost always on my mind. It's evolved from just pure demons and rotations to being a huge comfort that I can just idly think about throughout the day.

It's really neat, because I started out as a Dream-centric multishipper who wasn't sure if I could vibe with Punz and Sam closing the triangle, but after marinating in the idea, it's now really important to me that they become something too. They grow from two people fighting around their relationship with Dream to something based on trust and blunt honesty and Forgiveness Withoit Forgetting. They can be deeply affectionate with each other in a way thats different from their relationship with Dream. Not bad, not in a way that excludes him, just different.

The AU has also tentatively opened me up to exploring 2nd Gen characters, something I've literally never been capable of before. I have a lot of vague ideas for who gets together post-main story, and how those relationships works and why. Ponk/Foolish/XD is a ship for example, and I've designed a possible child for them? As well as designed Fooshs Totem children? It's always a maybe for if I actually want to give people kids, and it's not really the point of CKAU, it's just really fun to explore the rest of the smp in this sort of fix-it au and how it impacts their lives in the After of it all.

It's also helped me expand my Minecraft Lore and Worldbuilding Bible (how in my headcanon the mineacraft world works and its history/lore, including tying other media's like Hermitcraft and Maricraft to the dsmp to make everything part of the overall world.)

Writing CKAU post-story had also, ironically, made me enjoy benchtrio more, as I get to talk to my friends about their interpersonal dynamics and how they work and how they end up finally at peace. Especially considering Tubbo and Ranboo are bitterly divorced for a long time.

I had a lot of small ideas for a DNB Mass Effect AU in a similar vein to To Tear Asunder being my Dragon Age AU, but I feel really guilty getting into that when I haven't even finished the Philza fic or the Techno fic I have for the latter. I have significantly less people to bounce ideas off of for To Tear Asunder, which is why I struggle with it sometimes.

A lot of my writing in the beginning was done through utilizing my manic moods, but now that I'm better medicated/no longer constantly manic, it's led to me going a lot slower with writing. Demons (PWP stuff) are a lot easier to write, because they require significantly less scene set-up when I can use the sexual act as a template, and being horny-brained isn't particularly difficult.

(Also. No Plot Nessecary. Hence the Porn Without Plot. Plot is really exhausting to write sometimes.)

Obviously it's a lot better for my health that I'm no longer manic, but it's still disappointing that I can no longer work myself into a tizzy and write 30 pages of something (before collapsing and being unable to do anything at all for the next several days.) Give and take and all.

I briefly was very insane about Benchtrio fucking Dream in various ways. I made a whole Teacher/Student AU about it that's in my drafts, god willing I get my new laptop and can finish that up. I really enjoy CNC and bodice ripper type stuff, so it's pretty fun to explore crack AUs where Dream is just trying to be normal and the 3 most abnormal people in the world come into his life.

I'm not really a fan of the Tommy/Dream dynamic where Dream is preying on the Poor Helpless Child, especially because it has a habit of taking itself Very Seriously. I'm not looking for serious and dark and the villainization of Dream. It's a lot more fun for me to explore a strong, confident, and very tired 20-something desperately trying to figure out how to deal with the 17-18 year old being horny on main. Also it's just really interesting to me when the younger character takes advantage of normal social and power dynamics and subvert them so they can have the older character sub.

^I'm not sure if the explanation there is perfect or makes sense but I'm always happy to try to talk more about it if you'd like.

I have a little more of the Warden Hybrid!Dream type stuff in my head that I wanted to write out, mostly just a lot of Porn With Minimal Plot for purely kink reasons. I also have a Dream/Ravager fic I'm supposed to be posting, but God only knows when I can finish it. I need zoomies.
