So I've been thinking about marrying Egon this month (but granted that kinda depends on when I get my ring so) and if I do that it'd be kind of funny to me because the new Ghostbusters movie is coming out this month so I would be marrying one of my f/os the same month that another installment from their series comes out

So when I was a kid my mom would ask me to go do the dishes or something, and I'd always have to go pee first and she'd just be all "why couldn't you have gone at any other point why does it have to be now that I asked you to do something".

Now that I'm an adult, this is all still true, but I call that moment where I am changing tasks like that "checking state-based actions" (like in Magic: The Gathering), since the stuff I've been focused on has resolved (naturally or forcibly), and now I realize all at once that I gotta pee or eat or whatever.

Surely if I could have simply explained state-based actions to my mom she would have gotten less frustrated.
