Earthspark season 2 theory *SPOILERS AHEAD*
So everyone is kind of dismissing ES s2 at the moment because Starscream is in the episode synopsis, the main villain of S2, but I'm convinced this is an obvious bait and switch.
I'm thinking of this on the level of Sasha Waybright from Amphibia kind of antagonist role. We already know that Starscream suffered under Megatron in s1, and I really don't think that will be dismissed in s2. I kind of feel like the episode synopsis for these episodes are rather lacking, and Starscream in at least the first third of s2 will be the antagonist, but will eventually come back to help the Maltos and the Terrans to stop the true antagonist of s2, which I feel will be revealed as the Quintessons. They're already setting it up by episode 2, so I won't be surprised if we get a full on Quintesson invasion by the near end of s2.
Additionally, I think Starscream's whole arc in s2 will be trying to be the leader of the Decepticons while understanding he still hasn't healed that much from Megatron's abuse and Megatron realizing that he hasn't changed as much as he wanted or having Megatron get killed sometime in the 2nd or 3rd batch of s2, with Starscream having to reconcile with the fact that Megatron is gone (as I feel like Megatron will be killed off for good). I also feel like that Spitfire and Aftermath will be the key to "sympathizing" Starscream, as the Chaos Terrans are basically Sparklings to him and his comrades, he'd probably fill the role of a parental figure to them the most. I also kind of feel like the Chaos Terrans will die by the end of s2, though I kind of hope not.
I mostly tie all of this to the fact that season 2 of most animated series nowadays are often full of lore drops and sudden twists in characters. This is especially clear if we get bait and switch villains, such as the case in Amphibia where it might have been clear that Andraias was the true villain, we were still convinced that it was someone else the entire time. For Earthspark, I feel like we'll be told that Starscream and the Decepticons are the main villains but we'll get inklings of this not being the actual case.

🌲 Where Are the Other Forest Rangers in EarthSpark? (And Why Is Dot the Only One Left?)
Witwicky sits on the edge of vast, mysterious forest territory. We see rivers, canyons, deep woods, even underground systems. It's clearly a huge area. So why… is Dot Malto the only forest ranger?
Where’s her team? Her colleagues? Her station backup?
This isn’t just lazy worldbuilding — it feels deliberate. There are a few possibilities. And none of them are comforting.
🔸 Possibility 1: They were laid off by G.H.O.S.T.
The moment G.H.O.S.T. moved into Witwicky, local authority figures vanished from screen. Not just rangers — no fire services, no other police, no biologists, no park staff. G.H.O.S.T. may have forcibly taken over, pushing Dot into a symbolic role while they absorbed her jurisdiction. A puppet protector for PR.
🔸 Possibility 2: They all quit. Or deserted.
What if the forest was already changing? Chaos Terrans. Mutant wildlife. Mandroid's drones creeping through trees. People could’ve left in fear — or were ordered to relocate. Dot stayed because she’s ex-military and has nowhere else to go. Or because she’s connected to G.H.O.S.T. through her past and her family.
🔸 Possibility 3: They disappeared.
Mandroid was declared dead by G.H.O.S.T., yet he was very much alive. That means G.H.O.S.T. has a history of falsifying deaths and covering up disappearances. Who’s to say they didn’t do it before?
What if other rangers entered the forest and never returned?
What if the Terran birthing ground is more than just an anomaly? What if something in that forest is feeding, mutating, absorbing?
🔸 Possibility 4: Dot’s job isn’t real anymore.
She walks in uniform. She says she’s a ranger. But no calls come in. No coordination. No staff. She doesn't seem to actually protect the forest — she lives beside it while everything inside grows stranger. Maybe she's not the last ranger — maybe she's the only one who survived.
Or maybe she’s the watcher now. Meant to report what she sees, and never speak of what came before.
G.H.O.S.T. erases history. The show erases people.
And no one in EarthSpark asks: Where did all the others go?
This post was created with the help of ChatGPT. I wear glasses and sometimes experience eye strain or vision issues that make writing harder.

TF: One -> Earthspark as the same continuity: ramblings
I think it's interesting that Breakdown and Bumblebee could've met while racing in the Iacon 5000 (after BB recieved his T-cog). This would probably be between the time Megatron was banished and when the war started.
2. This interaction's literally D-16 and Orion Pax. D-16 wanting Orion to listen? Orion wanting D-16 to stop challenging his decisions? THE TRIVIA BLURB AS CONFIRMATION OF THEIR PAST FRIENDSHIP?
3. The swap in temperament between Soundwave and Shockwave is interesting.
It's like Soundwave's patience is eroding everytime he goes through another leader. It's always been the case, but he's extremely loyal to his leader up until the point where he feels that they're ineffective; then he will do what he can to replace them with another.
Meanwhile, Shockwave starts off as kinda temperamental in TFOne. But if these continuities were one, it'd be assumed that he mellows out externally over the course of the war, but he still has that kind of innate rage he's always had.
To put it shortly:
Soundwave: cold exterior, angry interior -> angry exterior, angry exterior
Shockwave: angry exterior, angry interior -> cold exterior, angry interior
I can really just see Shockwave being the same guy just getting older over time. It's not much of a stretch to me.
4. Bumblebee goes from being extremely lonely to being surrounded by family and friends, while Starscream goes from being surrounded by (at least) allies and troops to being extremely lonely. It's especially apparent when they're both talking to inanimate/inactive objects when they're isolated, like here.
I think there's some merit in Bumblebee helping Starscream through his loneliness for a hypothetical season 4 of ES if this were the case.

I went crazy last night and couldn't stop thinking of @numberonetribble 's breakbee fanchild Piston, so I stayed up real late drawing them! (I took a few creative liberties, if that's okay)

When drawing this page, I had the stray thought of,, what if Bee didn't make it through Piston's birth? If that did happen I wonder how things would be with Breakdown having to parent all by himself,, hmmm,,, anyway it's supposed to be father-child bonding regardless of how you take it!

And then!!!! I thought of a semi-angsty minicomic? two-parter, whatever it is, I'm kinda proud of it (Breakdown's back is fuuuuuucked bro, how do you draw that shet) (I lowkey think I'm growing an obsession with that cunticon, he's so charming)

I wonder if Piston favors their sire because he acts more like the fun/reckless parent, while Bee is more protective/kinda sheltery, but that's just a theory...

Chaos Terrans, Chaos Energy, Terratronus, Starscream
Read time: 5 minutes
TLDR: Starscream ordered the Chaos Terrans to stab each other with the Cyber Slayer to charge it; The Chaos Terrans cared about each other genuinely; I wish Starscream studied Mandroid corpse.
ID: A clip from Earthspark S2E09. After Hashtag and Mo discover the Witwicky underground tunnels form a humanoid shape, we see Aftermath and Spitfire attempting to enter the tunnels with the Cyber Slayer at the entrance where the cave water was first discovered in S1E07. Aftermath unleashes a massive chaos energy blast through the weapon, shaking the chamber the Maltos sisters are in but having no effect outside. Spitfire takes the weapon, taunting, "My turn already - and you have to it with STYLE!" She spins the weapon coolly, only to release a tiny streak of energy. Aftermath teases, "Some STYLE you got there, Spitfire… or should I call you, Nofire?" Spitfire retorts, "Ha-ha-ha, and I thought you were just funny looking." Possibly misreading her mockery as praising, Aftermath proudly declares, "Aftermath is the complete package," before launching into a random battle cry. "I don't think you -" Spitfire's confused look changes into resignation. "You know what? Never mind." She lifts up the weapon and points it at her brother, "Just hold still while I recharge this - what's it called again?" "CYBER SLAYER," Aftermath reminds her, leaning down. "Wicked cool name for a weapon if you ask - Aaargh!" His words are cut off as Spitfire taps him sharply on the head with the weapon. He stumbles back, clutching his head as his embershard dims, emitting garbled sounds. Spitfire tosses him a bottle of cave water. After a long gulp, his embershard lights up again. Wiping his mouth, he smiles, "That does NOT get any easier, but what a rush!" Seeing the weapon charged with Aftermath's own energy, Spitfire grins, "Yeh? The next time we will trade." This time, she manages to unleash a powerful blast into the cave walls, causing rocks to fall around the Malto sisters but still no external effect. Frustrated, she asks, "Any doors open up yet?" "Ha! That's what we are doing here, sister?" Aftermath shrugs. "I stopped listening after Starscream said - " Switching to a more high-pitched voice, he imitates, "Take the cyber slayer - urrhhh". "Well, apparently, this thing's supposed to get us inside the - " Spitfire says as she continues to stab the cave walls, unleashing loads of energy. "Where?" Aftermath asks. "Yeh, Starscream left that part out." Spitfires stops, contemplating. "But he did say it will help with his BIG PLAN for taking out the Maltos and the Autobots." She seems to be convinced by the reasoning, and returns to her job at hand with an even stronger blow. This time, the wall shatters and starts glowing in red - the color of the chaos energy. Cybertronian letters appears on the wall with Quintus' symbol, "IN TIMES OF NEED HELP SHALL RISE TO YOUR CALL". Marveled, both Chaos Terrans paused, though they likely can't read it, and Spitfire soon resumed her stabbing.
Thought 1: Wow this is quite messed up!
I'm probably just slow, but on first watch I assumed the Chaos Terrans were able to channel chaos energy through the Cyber Slayer naturally, and thought Spitfire hit Aftermath with the weapon as a part of their mutual bickering. I only just realized they were taking turns stabbing each other with the weapon to keep it charged, and they were ordered to do so by Starscream.
Wow this is pretty messed up! "Hey kids take this weapon and go open a door for me. If the weapon runs out of energy, just draw each other's blood to recharge it. Try not to kill each other in the process and good luck!"
This seems extremely dangerous. The Cyber Slayer is not fatal, but it is fatal if the victim doesn't have access to treatment. And we all know if one of them accidentally goes completely offline, Starscream won't bother to treat them. I wonder if this is part of his plan.
Thought 2: Awww Siblings
The interaction between Aftermath and Spitfire is suddenly more wholesome, too. Spitfire didn't stab him out of malice. She warned him about the charging, gave him a very controlled knock on the head, and immediately tossed him a bottle of cave water.
Despite the contact being short and controlled, Aftermath was immediately sent into severe energy deprivation, falling and whining in pain.
It seems like prior to this Aftermath was the only one taking the blows, as Spitfire suggested "next time we will trade." I have been wondering how much Spitfire cares about her sibling, and it turns out she cares about him enough to volunteer drawing her own blood so he doesn't have to suffer repeatedly. And he didn't even complain about it, possibly because 1) he has one braincell and didn't realize it's unfair, 2) he cares about his tiny little sister and volunteered to take up more responsibility as the large big brother.
So it's... both messed up and awwww siblings. Wish to see them more in S2C / S3B / S4 ^ ^
Theories and Implications
This also gives a clearer definition on how they broke through Terratronus's defense system. Basically they just hit her repeatedly with condensed chaos energy. This might imply that Cyber Slayer enhanced chaos energy is stronger than Quintus power.
I wonder if Starscream would have been able to get himself out of Terratronus if he had access to chaos energy. And, maybe the Decepticons could have been able to escape the Quintus-powered bubble if they had access to the Cyber Slayer.
I'm also curious how Starscream learned he could break Terratronus' defense system with chaos energy. The only other person who's aware of this seems to be Terratronus herself. Starscream also seems to know it even before getting Croft's hard-drive. And it's unlikely that he got the information during GHOST imprisonment - GHOST knew nothing about the Emberstone until Mandroid told them about it in S1E20. Starscream escaped in S1E21, likely during he power outage in S1E20. And Croft didn't retrieve the stone for Mandroid to study until S1E22.
I think the only two possibilities are:
Starscream's science degree thesis was about chaos energy and it was a such niche field that none of the other scientists know anything about it.
Starscream got the information from Mandroid. Either he unearthed some of Mandroid's top-secret research on the Emberstone while helping the Autobots clean up the mess, or he reached this conclusion by studying Mandroid's corpse.

Jawbreaker looks A LOT like Unicron

They’re both a dirty orange color and brown, covered in horns/spikes and they have purple optics. Not to mention, Jawbreaker got his alt mode directly from the earth (which is not how any of his siblings got their alt modes) and we all know that Unicron is literally the earth. To add, Jawbreaker literally was born out of the ground. Or in other words —he grew out the earth. (Which again —Unicron IS earth). We even had a similar concept in Earthspark with Terratronus (a Terran with part of the earth built around her, but at a MUCH smaller scale)
And part of me was confused when JB had purple optics when no other part of his design had purple and his character had no purple effects or anything. How come he didn’t keep his blue optics like his twin sister? Or like his older brother? Maybe I’m over thinking it, but this thought has been in my mind since I saw JB’s alt mode design for the first time.

Do you think that Hashtag is a cityspeaker? She controlled those tunnels which were later revealed to be a titan.
I think it's a really cool theory! I'll have to rewatch episode 21 though; was she the only one who was shown opening the tunnel doors?

Earthspark theory
Why do the tunnels only react to Hashtag, glow red for the Terrans and doesn’t react at all for the seekers (spoilers for s2)
Hashtag controls the tunnels and the tunnels are Terratronus. Terratronus is a titan so that mean Hashtag can control a titan!
Hashtag = Cityspeaker????
As for why the tunnels glowed red for the Terrans, they are very closely connected to Hashtag (the supposed cityspeaker) hence why it did react but not in a way they wanted it to.

Earthspark Theory: Quintus Prime, the Emberstone and the other Primes
Kind of thinking this, mainly because it doesn't seem like the colonies in Earthspark don't seem to be a thing or haven't been mentioned. And then with the Emberstone, it kind of clicked: maybe the Emberstone was used to make other Transformer species with the help of certain members of the 13.
So I think there's more to Quintus Prime than meets the eye, in fact I think Quintus teamed up with a few of the other 13 Primes to create new Transformer species.
And first up, I think he's the creator of a lot of them, namely the Camiens, the Maximals, the Junkions, the Minicons, and maybe any Techno-Organics if we want. And given the make up of these Transformers, I think it would be kind of an interesting take if that happens to be the route Earthspark goes with.
Camiens: Created by both Solus Prime and Quintus Prime via Emberstone. Solus gives the leader of her created Camiens the Forge and the title of Magna. Most of the population of the Camiens identify as female and have an innate desire to create beautiful objects of art and weaponry.
Maximals: Created by Alchemist Prime (if the one with huge wings is Alchemist Prime) and Quintus Prime via the Emberstone. Alchemist was fond of combining elements, which would play into the original Beastformers being assigned different elements. The Maximal term is derived from his other name, Maccadam. He leaves the Maximals to their own designs, but imbues them a love of science and discovery.
Junkions: Created by Amalgamous Prime and Quintus Prime via the Emberstone. Amalgamous gave the Junkions his humorous attitude and also gave them the outlier ability to put themselves together if they were taken apart in battle as well as give them mad medical skills.
Techno-Organics: Created by Onyx Prime and Quintus Prime via the Emberstone. The Techno-Organics share Onyx's deep spiritual connection to the AllSpark and the spiritual world of the Sparks. Unlike other Transformers with organic based alt modes, the Techno-Organics can assume some far ranging and strange ones, including those of plants.
Terrorcons: Created by Megatronus and Quintus Prime via the Emberstone. Originally, the Terrorcons were made to serve as Megatronus' army in order to fight against Unicron. However, due to Megatronus' betrayal and siding with the chaos bringer, the Terrorcons now serve as Unicron's heralds.
Minicons: Created by either Micronus or Vector Prime and Quintus Prime via the Emberstone. Given that the line up doesn't seem to include Micronus in Disarmed, I got Vector into this because of the Time and Space thing and plus he was introduced in the same trilogy that introduced the Minicons.
I'm just going to do these guys for now since I really don't see some of the other guys just going off to make new life. Didn't put the Quintessons up there because well, Quintus probably just made them by his own self and we all know how that turned out.
Those are my thoughts, just wondering if anyone else has some inquries or thoughts.

I had an odd theory looking over the TFE episodes (and I am writing this at like 3am so someone else could probably put it a lot better than I can)
What if Bee was a Decepticon at some point?
There’s a little bit of evidence for it - he seems to be on personal terms with a lot of the Decepticons, to the point of apologizing to one of the Insecticons during the battle for the Allspark. He has Decepticon tech - maybe Optimus gave it to him, I’m not sure? Either way, he seems to really know his way around it. Swindle seems to have a very personal vendetta against him, specifically referring to the Battle of the Bay, which is definitely an important battle as it’s when Megatron defected and Dottie lost her leg.
And then there’s the whole thing with Breakdown! I could be remembering this wrong, but does Breakdown mention Optimus “getting between” them or something? They could have been friends pre-war of course, and that’s more likely, but it just makes me wonder.
I’m sure there are other examples. And perhaps he was a spy instead. Perhaps I’m looking too much into this, haha. It just seems like it would fit into Earthspark’s theme of change, and would be something very new with Bumblebee, which they seem to be trying to do with a lot of the classic characters.
#I feel like I read someone else’s theory on this and they were much more concise lol#I can’t believe I almost forgot about Breakdown#anyway enough of my 3am rambles#bee enjoyers come get y’all juice#transformers#maccadams#transformers earthspark bumblebee#tfe bumblebee#transformers earthspark#tfe#frost screams into the abyss

Another random thought considering the fact Bumblebee was thought to be dead for years, by humans and Cybertronians alike (considering Swindle and Nova Storm's comment on him) do you think there was ever a time where Breakdown thought Bee had died?
I mean even if there was I think he'd eventually find out the yellow car chasing him around the world at races was Bee ig.
But the angst potential is still there even for a brief moment during the end of the war if Breakdown thought Bee had truly died.

Your favourite female Autobots other than Elita?? And do you have headcanons (both as canon bot and human) for them ??
moonracer!!! I haven't read any of her comics and sadly she wasnt much in wfc2020 but I love her in g1 and she's also my favourite color which is probably some percentage of a bias 😭 after moonracer it's probably chromia
but if we're talking about other iterations and not in general, i ADORE earthspark arcee with a passion like holy shit I love her 😭😭
i don't really have any headcannons for those girlies except that moonracer would probably like listen to ateez or smth but that one is more self projecting 😭
likeee idk yall, agree with me on this one would moonracer listen to this or is delusion strong
#I have seen theories that moonracer and elita are related to eachother in some capacity and i'd be happy to join that train ijbol ->#I mean one headcannon for earthspark arcee is a big oplita self indulgence which is that I see her and bumblebee to be oplita children#with arcee being bee's older sister 😭#also about your other ask! i accidentally deleted it but the es rage virus is so cool and i can see why it inspired you!!!#Moonracer#and oh my god moonracer is so pretty in the idw comics like screams she's gorge. I wish we got more for her in tfone ://#ALSO moonracer reminds me of yeri from red velvet and like i'm yeri biased 🤭🤭 i'm also irene bias wrecker and like irene reminds me of#elita but this post isn't about elita i must shut it about her#transformers moonracer#tfe arcee#earthspark arcee#transformers

Im looking back at Earthspark S1 Episode 9-10. And now it got me thinking some stuff, Mandroid mentioned he wanted Megatron's helm, but instead... he went for the Fusion Cannon.
And now it got me thinking, what if Mandroid DID take Megatron's helm? What if they couldn't save him in time? What if it was too late to save him? Like, what if Dorothy didn't cut off the power thing and was also kept hostage there and watched it happen? But a good thing he WAS saved and is fine, other than never fixing the scar.. which makes me think he refuses to get it fixed to remind himself to ever allow something like that to happen again, and is not going to let it happen again.... hopefully.
But certainly enough, Mandroid just trying to cut his arm off that had the Fusion Cannon (from chest area) it scared Megatron enough to the point he got PTSD possibly and we rarely see him I public now, and I got a theory that he's scared of humans now because he doesnt know who is a friend and who isn't—Considering what both Mandroid and Agent Karen Croft did, yet alone everything else.
And to Season 2 & 3, Decepticons were a bad influence and they fucked up the reputation of many others, which lead to many questions if the Decepticons are actually bad again, along with Megatron now, amd that's maybe why Prowl didn't trust him till very end of the season.
And a thing is—Dorothy cares more about Megatron and how he feels rather than her own children. Some even said/say that they have a confirmed Mother & Son relationship dynamic or a Sibling dynamic.
Sometimes, I also question Optimus' leadership stuff. He does stuff Megatron doesn't like, so that's why he doesn't follow the orders directly. Sometimes. AND Megatron acts more like an Autobot that Optimus Prime himself! Megatron willingly puts his life at risk for others to save them over than himself.
Also, a quick thing, In season 3, Robby mentioned something about family, and he said Optimus, Megatron, Bumblebee, and Elita-1, if I remember correctly, were a part of it! Which I find honestly cute that others call them family!

I know it might never happen because of the time skip or other factors, but one of things I'd like to see in S2 is the Terrans and kids getting a wake up call about their blind optimism towards the Cons.
Preferably their parents tell them that Cons are as monstrous as they're described to be because they witnessed what they've done during the war & humanity's fear towards Cybertronians are not baseless. If not, Tarantulas to Nightshade if the latter assumes every defector is like the former.
