It is also always a sad reminder that before the witness, rhulk and the worm gods. There was Aurash, Xi-ro and Sathona. Three sisters who loved each other more than anything. May they rest in peace

(also I haven't played neither of the games yet, so some more technical details might be still unclear on both fronts to me)

I just find it a little ironic that Savathûn had to witness the Echo of the Navigator being destroyed and lose whatever remnants of her brother she could still cling to... while Albedo straight up transmuted Mini Durin (who is pretty much an equivalent of an Echo, if you think about it long enough— also consider the massive relevance of the real Oryx's and Durin's corpses for their worlds' story and environment for further parallels maybe?) into a human, basically reviving him

Like saying: "I'm sorry the vestige of my brother actually returned as a living and sane and probably playable being while you had to come in terms with the fact that yours is gone forever and with no chance of return, love— maybe if you covered the Dreadnaught in alchemical circles it could be of some help? It's not technically necromancy, I'm sure Oryx would appreciate too"

maybe I just never understand all of the lessons we learn in this game but I really feel like there are moments where we don’t HAVE to kill every boss or enemy y’know. Like did we really have to destroy the Echo after defeating its shades? It was basically…. surrendering?? at a certain point. through dialogue, it had already sounded so defeated. idk, maybe it doesn’t matter or maybe i didn’t explain this well enough

dany's infertility (colloquial use, since i've seen people nitpick this: i know she can get pregnant but think it's 99.999% likely she will never bear a living child) is important to me and to the narrative for a variety of reasons, but it does make me sad for her. which is why i love that jon is dead and will be a walking corpse when they meet--or like even if melisandre is able to combine the magic of r'hllor to create fire wights (living mind/soul in dead body) with the blood magic of asshai that mirri maz duur used on drogo (living body with no mind/soul) to bring him back for real, what does being dead to his sperm count? i hope he's shooting blanks forever.

it would be very sweet and only a little bitter to me for them to know and genuinely feel that this is another shared pain, not an inadequacy on either part: neither of them but specifically dany would need to worry about fulfilling their gendered roles + giving the other a child in a feudal society where marriage is a means of procreation/securing lineage built on the subjugation of women because they are both infertile and already a family. i think jon wouldn't care regardless, having already sworn he would never father children and processed that loss, but reducing if not eliminating the temptation of insecurity or shame for a woman in her circumstances and allowing daenerys to love and choose to be with someone who is like her in this too is so appealing to me, for however long they get to be together. which isn't to say neither of them wouldn't feel that pain or longing or insecurity regardless, but they're designed to be uniquely capable of understanding each other in ways no one else could, presumably including magical infertility.
