I'm going to go insane.....what do you mean they have an official Jinx figure with her wearing Ekko's jacket!?!?! 😭
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We know that some scenes were cut from the finale, and this just confirms that Ekko and Jinx made out up behide the scenes and their relationship progressed further than what we thought.
Wearing his jacket.... covered in each other's markings..... I'm crying.... they love each other so much.
Honestly, does it make the fact that Ekko and Jinx probably confessed their feelings for each other make the ending where he thinks she's dead hurt more? Abso-fucking-lutely and the Arcane writers will be hearing from my lawyers soon.

So, as I drew this scene, I realised something about their outfits. At first I think they were both covered in not only each others symbols, but also their own? Referencing many many scenes of Ekko, and I realized he ONLY has HER symbols on him? Brother man is covered in pink marks and nothing else...What truly happened before that big war entrance? 🫠

ANGEEEEEEL DO A LITTLE FUCKER AND ISHA FIC AND MY LIFE IS YOURS 🫵🫵🫵
okay okay okay long awaited but let's do it finally ehheehehe
as always with these fics, don't ask me the logistics of how the pregnancy happened. it's yuri magic. have some fun.
men and minors dni
jinx is twenty when she decides to go to college. after a few years of taking care of herself-- through therapy, moving in with you and sevika, isha's good influence, and vi and ekko's support-- jinx finally felt ready to look to her future.
she got into a good school in piltover; full scholarship, because she's a fucking genius.
you don't worry about the workload overwhelming her, though she's decided to enroll in a dual degree program, studying chemistry and engineering at the same time.
you don't worry that her demons will catch up to her; she'll be living with cait and vi, and she'll be within walking distance of her therapist. plus, she's done a lot of good work for herself.
the only thing you worry about is isha.
though the girl is older now, around eight years old and much more used to you and sevika than she was when you first met, isha's favorite person in the entire world is still jinx. and the feeling is mutual. so, while jinx will spend her weeks with cait and vi up top, on weekends she'll come back to zaun to catch up with isha.
it's still a rough adjustment.
isha's just... lonely. you miss the giggles that used to fill your home-- isha entertained endlessly by her older sister's shenanigans. and despite all you and sevika have done to keep her occupied-- buying her new games and pets and books-- you can tell that isha's bored all alone.
"what if we had a baby?" sevika asks one night after you've turned off the lights and cuddled into her arms.
"another cat?" you mumble. sevika laughs.
"i was thinking a human baby, but we could get another cat if you want."
you sit up in bed, reaching out to flick a light on and stare down at your wife. "where the fuck is this coming from!?" you squeal.
sevika shrugs. "isha's lonely! we should give her a little sibling."
"wh-- like our own baby?! like one of us gets pregnant!?"
"well unless isha drags home a stray kid i don't see how else we'll get one." sevika chuckles.
you gawk at her. sevika smiles up at you. "s-sevika, we already have two to five children, depending on the day." you say.
sevika snorts. "ekko, cait and vi are ours only in spirit, love, they won't ever need us in the way jinx and isha do." she says. you pout. sevika snorts. "and jinx is all grown up, now." she reminds you.
tears well up in your eyes. "no she's not." you say, your pout worsening. sevika giggles and swipes your tears away.
"look; i know we said no kids when we started dating. but we said a lot of shit back then. remember when we thought we'd go hiking every saturday? we were crazy." sevika says. you giggle. "shit happened between then and now baby. life happened. deaths and marriage and adoptions and moves-- that kinda shit changes people. you changed me. and... we bought this big ass house for our family. might as well fill it up."
"well fuck, sevika, how many babies are you planning on giving me!?" you ask through a sob of happy tears. sevika laughs.
"as many as you'll let me." she says with a shrug.
you go to the doctor to talk about pregnancy the next week, only to find out that you're already a month into your first trimester.
"wh-- i'm-- but--" you sputter.
"she's already pregnant!?" sevika squeals.
the doctor laughs. "it would seem so. good timing."
sevika bursts into laughter and scoops you out of the doctor's paper covered seat, spinning you around her office and sobbing into your shoulder as you blink in shock.
"what the fuck?" you ask. sevika cackles.
on your drive home, you look over at your wife with a suspicious glare. "did you plan this?"
sevika laughs. "you think i'm that diabolical?"
"no, i just-- you decide you want a baby and boom, i'm magically already pregnant?!"
"i can probably smell it on you or somethin'-- my instincts could sense it. like how i can smell when you're ovulating."
you giggle. "that's probably how you knocked me up in the first place."
sevika grins. "fuck yeah it is. i did the math. i think it was the weekend we sent isha up to spend with the girls."
at the mention of your girls it hits you. you're about to have a baby. another one. your own-- one that you know from the first shit it takes.
you burst into tears, and sevika laughs. "there you go, i was waiting for that to happen."
"we're having a baby." you cry, scrambling to grab the hand she reaches across the console. "oh, janna, sev-- i don't know how to change diapers! all our other kids came to us potty trained!"
"i'll change all the diapers in the world, for you, love." sevika promises, kissing your knuckles. you laugh.
"you're such a liar."
isha's one smart little shit. you and sevika decide not to tell her until the second trimester, when it's less likely that you'll miscarry.
she figures it out within a week of you and sevika getting the news.
it could be the way sevika keeps touching your stomach, or the giddy kisses the pair of you keep exchanging when you think isha's not looking-- but something tips her off.
she sits you and sevika down one evening with a frown and her arms folded in front of her chest.
is there a baby in your belly? she signs. you sputter. sevika gasps. isha's suspicious glare melts into an excited smile. is there!? she asks with a gasp.
you burst into laughter and sevika shrugs. "we thought you might wanna be a big sister." isha grins, tears welling up in her eyes as she launches herself at you and sevika, laughing and crying.
i do. isha signs. i'm gonna be the best big sister ever. don't tell jinx. or violet.
you spend your pregnancy being waited on hand and foot by all your girls. vi, cait, and jinx all come to visit once or twice a week-- all three of them enchanted with your swollen stomach and always bringing baby supplies in tow.
isha makes a count-down to your due-date, bedazzles it and hangs it on the fridge so she can keep perfect track of how much longer she has to wait before meeting the baby.
isha's also started to call the baby her baby.
how many more doctors visits do you have before you have my baby? isha signs to you one afternoon as you wait in your doctor's office. you burst into laughter.
"your baby, huh?"
isha nods. i'm her sister! she signs, before gently reaching out and rubbing your stomach.
"what makes you think it's a girl?"
isha shrugs. most of your other babies are girls.
you cackle.
isha must be psychic, because your little girl comes into the world kicking and screaming in the middle of a family potluck.
it's horrible. violet passes out. surprisingly, ekko is the most helpful, giving everyone instructions and calling an ambulance for you while you wail on the living room floor.
isha's watching with a disgusted fascination the entire time, her lips curled in horror and shock, her eyes big and sparkling as she witnesses the miracle of birth.
powder and cait help keep you propped up-- both of them toweling up all your... fluids... while sevika holds your hand and kisses your head.
one baby, a ruined rug, and an ambulance ride to the hospital later, and your family finally gets to see you in better condition, and they get to meet your little girl under better circumstances.
"aweee." your four grown kids coo as they shove into the hospital room.
"hey, no shoving around the baby!" sevika whisper scolds.
isha pushes her way through all her older siblings, crawling up in sevika's lap to look down at her little sister.
she gasps in wonder. she looks like big mama. isha signs.
cait chuckles. "she does."
"what a little fucker, comin' out lookin' like the parent that did nothin..." vi teases. sevika scoffs and you giggle in agreement.
"she really is a little fucker. ruined our dinner." jinx huffs. "i was looking forward to that potroast, y'know."
isha giggles, pinching her fingers together, then flipping off the baby and pointing at her. little fucker.
you all burst into laughter. little fucker's silver eyes pop open, and she bursts into tears.

HOMECOMING? : JAYCE X VIKTOR X M!READER
jayce and viktor are in love. like, a lot. and it’s getting obnoxious, really. they’ll be messing around as you try to go to sleep. you were crushing on both of them for the longest time, but now they were together, and you couldn’t have either of them. right?
hiya! everyone’s happy in this au and no deaths, so that’s why jinx is powder! yes, everyone is healthy and well, including vander, silco, mylo, calggor, heimer, isha, even felicia, and others! in this au, viktor is  healthy! all he’s got is really bad tendonitis, which is why he still uses a cane. also, like i said in my other jayce fic, i don’t speak spanish fluently, so most things in spanish are from google translate. anyways, have a great read and day/night!
──────────────────────────────
Everyone knows Jayce and Viktor are together. How did that happen? No one really knows. Piltover Academy and Zaun University are the two biggest rival schools around. Both you and Viktor are transfer students from Zaun Uni, and you were roomed together, obviously. Somehow, Jayce found a natural pull on Viktor, and before long, they started dating.
It was kind of tiring, always being the third wheel. You’re Viktor’s best friend, and so you’re always around. But then, suddenly, Jayce was there too. You were studying and Viktor came home? Jayce was right behind him. Did you go to a café to relax and draw with him? Jayce pulls up a third seat. It was sort of infuriating, you felt like you were losing your best friend to some random Piltie.
To be honest, you had always had a crush on Viktor, but you never acted on it, scared you would lose your best friend. But turns out, you’re already losing him, slowly but surely. At least that’s what you think. And Jayce, oh, Jayce. He looked so good. Viktor had dragged you to a few of his games, against your free will. However, he did (kind of) look good, all sweaty like that. And him in his varsity jacket after games when his clothes would stick to his skin? Gods, you can’t think that. You’re not supposed to think any of this. They’re both taken, you can’t have them, no matter how much you daydream about it.
With homecoming right around the corner, everyone was asking each other out left and right. Vi had somehow been able to sneak into Caitlyn’s room and surprise her with flowers. Ekko texted you, apparently, Powder had done a whole big show with glitter bombs and everything to ask him out. Mylo, surprisingly, didn’t make a huge deal about asking Claggor out. But apparently, it was kinda cringey according to Powder. Mel had even gotten some expensive chocolates to ask Elora. You didn’t expect anything to happen, and you had originally planned to just stay in that night. However, Jayce and Viktor had other plans.
───── ⋆⋅✉︎⋅⋆ ─────
You’re lying in bed, the window open to the sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves. You’re doomscrolling on your phone when you hear the faint sounds of footsteps. You pause the vido you’re watching and sit up. You can hear Viktor and Jayce’s voice follows close behind. You groan, flopping back onto your bed. As the door knob jingles and the door creaks open, they both come in, still talking as you grab your headphones and laptop, deciding to try to get some work done.
You blast your music through your headphones and don’t notice when Viktor is practically yelling your name to get your attention. You don’t realize even he’s talking to you until he sits down on your bed next to you, and you pull one side of your headphones off.
“Hey, V. Did you need something?”
“Wow, welcome back to the land of the living, dude.” Jayce laughs, and you roll your eyes at him.
“Yes, eh… Jayce and I have been meaning to talk to you about something.” Viktor says, and you raise an eyebrow at him. “Can you take your headphones off? You pull your headphones off, looing in between him and Jayce, searching their faces for any clue to what it is, but Jayce interrupts your thoughts.
“You’re in love.” Jayce blurts out, and you almost choke on your own saliva. Your whole face immediately turns bright red, and you try to cover your face, only for Viktor to move your hands out of the way.
“I- I don’t know what you’re talking about,” you stutter as you shut your laptop. Jayce sits down on your other side, and suddenly you’re trapped. Your whole body feels warm, and your head is swimming. You pull your knees to your chest, wrapping your arms around your legs.
“Yes, you do. We’ve talked to Mel, you know. All that psychology stuff actually works, you know. But even without her, we can tell. You blush any time I touch you, and you don’t even try to hide it with Vik,” Jayce says.
“So, are you just gonna make fun of me? If you are, you don’t need to, I’m already at war with myself,” you mumble, and Viktor cups your face, making you look at him. His touch is electric, and you feel like you’re going to pass out if he gets any closer.
“Krásný, look at me. We’re not going to make fun of you. Quite the opposite, really. Jayce and I… we have talked about you.” You look up at him, slightly afraid of what he’s going to say. He rarely ever calls you krásný anymore. What is happening? Jayce takes your laptop off of your lap and replaces it with his hand. Yeah, you’re definitely gonna pass out.
“Cariño, will you go to homecoming with us? Nos encantaría llevarte.” As the words flow from Jayce’s mouth, you swear your heart stops for a second. What? What? WHAT? That is literally the last thing you thought he was going to say. Also, CARIÑO? Oh gods, they’ve won your heart. You’ve heard Jayce speak in Spanish to his mom, but by Janna does it feel different when he speaks to you. When Viktor speaks in Czech, you melt. And now Jayce is talking to you in Spanish? You stare, but at what, you have no idea. Your mind has just gone blank, and you have no idea how to respond.
“Wh- what?” Your voice cracks, and you clear your throat. Your head swivels back and forth between them, and there’s a part of you that fully expects this to be a joke. “Are you joking? I mean, what? Is that… like, something you can do?”
“Of course it is. Who says we can’t? If we all love each other, then why not?” Viktor explains. It’s then that you realize that you’ve stopped breathing, and you shake your head, releasing your chin from Viktor’s grasp, and take a few deep breaths.
“Is… is that a no?” Jayce asks, his tone hesitant and… scared? They both search your face for any indicator of refusal.
“No! I mean, no, I-I’d love to. I’m just… in shock, I guess?” You lift your hands from your legs, your hands shaking. You wring them together, trying to stop them from quivering. “I… I’d love to. I’d love to go to homecoming with you two,” you smile, although your bottom lip trembles ever so slightly.
“Really? Oh my gods, thank you!” Viktor grabs your face, pressing soft kisses around your face. Jayce’s fingers intertwine with yours, and you swear your brain short circuits.
“It’s going to be the best night of your life, we promise.”

(Ekko X Reader)
❥ cast : ! Ekko and Reader ¡
Tumblr media
The days following their argument were long, stretching into what felt like an eternity. Y/N tried to keep her distance, give him time to breathe, but every moment apart only deepened the chasm between them. It wasn’t just Ekko anymore—it was.
It was jinx
Every time she thought about her, Y/N could feel her blood boil, could feel the growing resentment bubbling beneath her skin. It wasn't rational, she knew that. Ekko had said it himself—Jinx wasn't the same person she once was, that she wasn't even the same person anymore.
But it didn't matter. The truth was, Y/N was starting to hate her. She hated the way Jinx still haunted Ekko, the way she lingered in his every thought, in every word he spoke.
She wasn't stupid. She had seen the way Ekko's face softened whenever Jinx was mentioned, the way his voice trembled with guilt and regret. She could feel it—a constant reminder that he wasn't fully hers. Not while Jinx was still there, buried deep inside his heart.
Y/N didn't even want to think about what they had gone through. The loss, the violence, the twisted game Jinx had played on that ship. Every time she closed her eyes, the memory of the Firelights' death toll flashed before her—the way Jinx had obliterated their lives, the way Ekko had carried the weight of that destruction like a curse.
And he had the nerve to say those things to her.
To attack her and not Jinx.
The resentment festered, a dark seed growing in her chest. It twisted the memories of Ekko's smile, his touch, and his promises, turning them into something bitter. Y/N had given so much of herself to him, only to feel like she was always going to be second place. Everything was a lie.
All of it.
The voices that once whispered assurances now screamed in fury.
Why wasn't she enough?
Y/N walked the streets of Zaun, the lights from the neon signs flickering and buzzing around her. The night air felt cold against her skin, her steps were heavy, like each movement took more energy than the last.
She wanted to scream. She wanted to break something, anything, just to feel something other than the ache that seemed to consume her. But all she could do was walk, lost in her own thoughts, drifting through the world without really being a part of it.
The Last Drop was always there when she needed it. The familiar clink of glasses, the low hum of conversation, the smoky air—it all felt like a distant memory of better times, of times when she could forget about the weight of her world.
She wasn't there for fun. She wasn't there to be social. She was there because she needed to disappear, even for just a little while.
She pushed through the door, the warmth of the bar greeting her, a stark contrast to the chill outside. The usual faces were scattered around the dimly lit room...But.
Her eyes immediately landed on the corner booth. There was a man sitting there, Sipping a drink, his posture stiff, his face drawn in frustration. He didn't belong to the usual crowd of drunks and gamblers that populated the bar. There was something different about him—something that made her pause for a second.
She could see the exhaustion in his eyes, the way his fingers gripped his glass as though it was the only thing keeping him grounded. She didn't know why, but she felt...drawn to him.
With a deep breath, Y/N made her way to the bar, ordering something strong to quiet the storm inside her. But she couldn't stop glancing toward the man in the corner. His energy was familiar in some way, she wasn't sure what possessed her, but she found herself walking over to his booth—taking the seat across from him without asking.
He didn't even look up when she sat down, his gaze fixated on the swirling liquid in his glass.
"You look like you're carrying the weight of the world huh..." Y/N said, her eyes studying him carefully.
The man's eyes flickered briefly toward her before he sighed, rubbing his temple with one hand. "Maybe I am.." he muttered, his voice. "Isn't that how it goes though? You give everything, and it's just...still not enough."
Y/N tilted her head, her heart skipping a beat all of sudden. She had never met this man, but those words hit her like a punch to the gut.
She swallowed hard, fighting the wave of emotion threatening to overtake her. "Ye—yeah..." she replied softly. "You do everything you can for someone, and you still end up feeling like you were never really part of their life. Like they were just passing time until something better came along."
The man turned his gaze toward her then, studying her face with a strange mix of curiosity and recognition. "Sounds like you know exactly what I'm talking about, huh..." he said, his voice softer now, the walls around him crumbling just a little bit.
Y/N forced a small, humorless laugh. "Yeah, well... I guess I know the feeling all too well. Thought I was helping someone, thought I was worth something to them. Turns out, I was just the backup. The second choice."
The man's eyes softened, and for a moment, Y/N could see the pain in them, the weariness that matched her own. He leaned back in his seat, his fingers tracing the rim of his glass, lost in thought.
"You ever wonder if you're the one who's wrong? Like...maybe you're the one who's been selfish this whole time, thinking you were the one who should be chosen?"
Y/N stiffened at the question. "What do you mean by that?"
"I mean...." he continued, his gaze steady on her, "....maybe they had their reasons. Maybe you weren't the one they were supposed to be with. Maybe they had their own battles, their own reasons for making the choices they did."
Y/N clenched her jaw, the anger rising again.
"It doesn't matter. They chose someone else, and that's all that matters. I gave everything to them, and that still wasn't enough."
The man studied her carefully, his brow furrowed. "You're angry because you didn't get what you wanted....But sometimes, what you want isn't the best thing for you. Sometimes, letting go...is the only thing that can set you free."
Y/N stared at him for a long moment, the weight of his words sinking in. There was a truth in them—one that was hard to face, but so impossible to ignore. She had been so consumed with wanting Ekko, with trying to prove that she was the one who mattered, that she hadn't stopped to think about what was best for her.
"Maybe..." she muttered, her voice distant now, lost in the realization. "Maybe you're right. Maybe I need to let go."
The man offered her a small, understanding smile. "I know It's never easy, but sometimes...holding on to something that's already gone only makes it harder to move forward. You can't keep fighting for someone who's not fighting for you."
Y/N looked down at her drink, the truth settling heavily in her chest. She didn't want to admit it, but she knew.
he was right.
"Guess we're both just in the same boat right now huh?" she said, her voice softer now.
He chuckled, a quiet, dry laugh."Yeah. I guess we are."
For a moment, the two of them sat in silence, each lost in their own thoughts, but there was an unspoken understanding between them. A shared pain, a shared loss, and perhaps, a glimmer of hope that they might both find a way to heal. The quiet was heavy, yet somehow comfortable, as though their presence alone was enough to ease the weight of the world for just a while.
The man sitting across from her had a quiet kind of beauty, the kind that spoke of sadness but also strength. His face was striking, with chiseled features that seemed sculpted by time and hardship. High cheekbones, a sharp jawline, and full lips that had a softness to them, as if the weight of the world hadn't completely hardened him. His dark brown eyes held so much depth, a sadness that she could relate to, yet there was a quiet warmth in them, as though he carried his own story and understood hers without needing to ask.
His skin, a rich hue of warm caramel, seemed to glow faintly under the dim light of the room, and his hair was dark and unruly, falling just above his eyebrows in waves. There was something about him—something raw and real—that made it impossible to look away.
"You know." he said quietly, looking at her with those intense eyes. "Healing... healing is possible." His voice was steady, a gentle reassurance that seemed to cut through the fog of her own doubts.
"You're stronger than you think. You've been through more than most people ever will, and you're still here. That means something."
Y/N swallowed, feeling a weight lift in her chest at his words. There was something about the way he looked at her, as if he truly saw her, not just the surface but the person beneath the layers of hurt. It made her feel... lighter, in a way. It made her feel like she wasn't as alone as she had thought.
But as quickly as it had begun, the moment seemed to come to an end. He stood slowly, his movements deliberate but soft, like he was giving her space to breathe. "I should head out now...it's getting late." he said, his voice gentle. "I'm Levi, by the way. It was really good talking to you...I hope... I hope you find peace."
Y/N nodded, her heart stirring with sadness.
"I'm Y/N." she whispered, her voice a little stronger than she had expected. "Thank you, Levi. For everything...really."
Levi offered her one last smile, a sad but sincere one, before turning to leave.
Y/N was left sitting there, the weight of the moment settling on her chest. She didn't know what it was about Levi or why their brief exchange had felt so significant. But as she sat there, she realized something—something small but important.
Healing.
Y/N stormed out of the Last Drop, her mind now a whirlwind of frustration, confusion, and anger. The conversation with Levi, though brief, had rattled her in ways she wasn't prepared for. His words echoed in her mind, a reminder of the things she wasn't ready to hear. Things about moving on, about not letting the past define her.
But how could she let go when every step forward felt like a push to forget everything she'd ever cared about?
She needed to release the pressure building in her chest—the tightness in her throat, the weight pressing down on her heart. She needed to stop pretending that everything was okay.
As she walked, her steps quickening with each passing second, her thoughts turned darker. She wasn't just angry at the world, at the people who kept letting her down.
No, the anger had a target, a name.
Ekko.
It was his fault she felt so torn. He had pulled her in, made her believe that there was something more between them, something worth fighting for.
But then there was Jinx—always in the back of his mind, always there, even when she wasn't.
"Why am I always second place?" she muttered to herself, the irritation simmering just below the surface. She walked faster, her fist clenching at her side.
Suddenly, a group of men appeared ahead of her, their figures blurry from the haze of anger and alcohol clouding her mind. They eyed her with a mix of amusement and mockery, clearly seeing her as an easy target.
One of them stepped forward, a grin playing at the corners of his lips.
"What's a girl like you doing out here alone, huh?" one of them sneered. "You look like you could use a little help... or maybe some company?"
Y/N gritted her teeth, her fists clenching at her sides. "Don't touch me..." she mumbled.
She wasn't in the mood for their games, not after everything she had been through.
The man chuckled, clearly unfazed. "What's wrong? Scared?" He took a step closer, reaching out as if to grab her, but she swatted his hand away.
"Don't.." she said again, her voice firmer now, though the slight tremble in her tone betrayed her.
Another man laughed, stepping forward as well. The situation shifted in an instant. The first man lunged toward her, grabbing her by the wrist and yanking her forward, trying to pin her against the wall. The others crowded in, grinning and jeering, as they made a move to steal whatever coins she had on her.
"Let go!" Y/N snarled, swinging her free arm at one of the men, landing a punch across his cheek. The other men stepped back, laughing at her resistance as if it was all some kind of joke.
But her blows weren't enough to stop them. One of the men twisted her arm behind her back, the pain shooting through her body as she struggled against his grip.
Panic surged in her chest, her mind spiraling. She tried to kick out, but another man knocked her to the ground, pinning her there.
The weight of it all came crashing down. Her anger, her sorrow, her fear, her confusion—it all hit her at once, and in that moment, all the walls she had built around herself shattered. Tears streamed down her face as she gasped for air, her body shaking. She had fought so hard to hold herself together, but here she was now, on the dirty ground with these men looming over her, she felt like nothing.
Like everything she had ever done had led to this. To this moment right here.
"Get off me." she sobbed, voice breaking as she cried out for help, but her words fell on deaf ears.
Just as one of the men raised his fist to hit her, the air around her shifted. She felt a shift in the chaos. In an instant, the man was knocked to the side with a force that made her blink.
She didn't know what was happening at first, too disoriented by the rush of adrenaline. But the sound of the hoverboard—the unmistakable hum she had come to associate with reached her ears before she could register anything else.
In a flash, Ekko appeared, taking out the men one by one with ease. His movements were fluid,
calculated—each strike swift and precise. He didn't hesitate, didn't give them a chance to fight back.
The men were on the ground in a matter of seconds, groaning in pain, unable to get up.
Y/N's heart raced, a surge of relief washing over her for just a second. But then, as Ekko slid to a stop in front of her, his boots barely scraping against the pavement, her stomach sank.
He was standing there, breathing heavily, looking at her with that familiar, protective look she had seen so many times before.
"Y/N..." he said, his voice softer than usual, eyes scanning her body for any visible harm.
But before he could even take a step toward her, she shoved him away, her hands pressing against his chest with more force than she intended.
"D-Don't!" she snapped, her voice shaking with anger. She couldn't even bring herself to look him in the eyes. "Don't you dare say it..."
Ekko stumbled back, confusion flashing across his face. "What? I'm just trying to—"
"Trying to what?" she cut him off, her eyes blazing with fury. "Trying to tell me how reckless I am? How I always mess everything up? Just like you did before? You think you're the only one who can handle things? You think I need you to save me every damn time?" Her voice cracked at the end, her anger suddenly giving way to the overwhelming emotions she had been holding back for so long.
Ekko's eyes widened as her words hit him, and for a moment, he couldn't speak. His chest tightened, a heavy weight pressing down on him. He had seen her angry before, but this... this was different. This wasn't just about the fight.
It was everything that had been building up for weeks, everything he had said to her—everything he hadn't said. He'd hurt her more than he realized.
He stepped back, his gaze dropping to the ground.
"I didn't mean to—" His voice faltered, thick with guilt. "Y/N, I—"
"No Ekko.." she snapped, tears welling in her eyes despite the fierce expression on her face. "You don't get how it feels to be the one who's always fucking second. To be the one who's constantly told that I'm not good enough, that I'm a liability....You think I don't know what you really think of me? How you'd rather save her than me." She wiped at her eyes angrily.
Ekko's heart dropped. He knew who she was talking about.
The realization hit him like a wave. All this time, he had been so focused on protecting her, on trying to keep her safe, that he had completely ignored what she needed from him. She didn't need saving. She didn't need his constant worry, his control. She needed him to understand her, to be there for her in the way that mattered, not just when things got bad.
And he had failed her.
His voice was quiet now. "Y/N, I...I never wanted to make you feel like that. I never wanted you to think I cared more about her. It's just—"
"No..." she interrupted, shaking her head violently. "You're so damn obsessed with her, and you can't even see what's right in front of you." Her voice cracked again, but this time, she didn't try to hide it. "I'm right here, Ekko. I'm always here. I always have been."
Ekko stood there, completely frozen, as her words slammed into him. The truth of what he had done to her finally settled in, heavy and suffocating.
The anger, the hurt in her eyes—it all became clear.
He hadn't just been protecting her...he had been holding her back. He had been so caught up in his own fears, in his past, that he had completely disregarded what she truly needed from him.
that realization crushed him more than anything else.
"Y/N...please.." he said, his voice breaking as he took a hesitant step forward. "I... I didn't know. I didn't know how much I was pushing you away. I never meant to make you feel like you were second. You're not. You're never second."
Y/N didn't answer at first. She just stood there, her chest rising and falling rapidly. She was so frustrated and heartbroken, but underneath it all, there was something softer—a part of her that was just as desperate, desperate for him to understand.
I don't want to be a shadow anymore Ekko" she whispered, her voice barely audible now. "I just want to be enough."
The words hit him like a punch to the gut, before he could even process them, she collapsed—her knees giving out beneath her as she crumpled to the ground.
Her body trembled with each sob, her face hidden in her hands as the alcohol and the weight of everything she had been carrying overwhelmed her all at once.
Ekko stood frozen for a moment, his heart in his throat. He didn't know what to do. Didn't know how to fix this, how to make things right. But as he watched her fall apart in front of him, everything he had been holding back came crashing down. This wasn't just about Jinx anymore. This wasn't about him trying to protect her or save her from herself.
This was about him failing her when she needed him the most.
Without thinking, he dropped to his knees beside her, his arms reaching out instinctively. He pulled her close, cradling her against his chest as she cried. She wasn't saying anything now, just letting the tears flow, the weight of everything she had been carrying threatening to crush her completely.
Ekko didn't speak. He didn't say anything at all. He just held her. In complete silence.
His hand brushed over her hair, trying to comfort her in the only way he knew how. "I'm sorry.." he whispered after a while, his voice thick with emotion. "...I'm so sorry Y/N."
Her sobs began to go quiet. She didn't answer at first, still struggling to regain control of her breath, her chest rising and falling in uneven gasps. The weight of everything—the alcohol, the anger, the broken trust—was starting to lift just a little, but the pain was still there.
Deep, raw, and unrelenting.
Ekko held her tighter, unwilling to let go, unwilling to let her face this alone anymore. He knew his words could never fix what had happened. He had failed her, hurt her, and he was going to have to work harder than he ever had before to earn her trust again.
"I never meant to hurt you baby.." he continued, his voice soft but full of regret. "I should've seen it. I should've understood how you felt. I... I don't know what I was thinking. I thought I was protecting you, but I was only pushing you away. And—And I'm so sorry."
There was a slight shift in her posture. She wasn't pulling away, but she wasn't completely letting herself fall into him either. The hurt was still there, and it wasn't going to disappear overnight. It couldn't.
After a long moment of silence, she spoke. "I don't know if I can trust you again" she whispered, the vulnerability in her words cutting through him like a blade. "I just...can't keep doing this."
Ekko's heart sank at the raw honesty in her voice. He knew she was right.
"I know.." he said quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. "I've made you feel like that, and I hate myself for it...So fucking much. But you are enough Y/N. More than enough. And I'll spend every day proving that to you if I have to."
The words hung in the air, but for Y/N, they felt so distant. Something shifted inside her as the weight of Levi's words settled like an anchor in her chest.
You deserve someone who makes you feel like you're the only one.
The sharp clarity of that truth hit her hard, the bitter realization that no matter how hard Ekko tried, no matter how much he cared for her, she was always going to be second place in his heart.
Her gaze flickered away from his, her throat tightening as she struggled to find the right words. She could hear Ekko's voice, soft and sincere, but it couldn't drown out the inner voice that had been growing louder in her mind. The truth she had been avoiding for so long...
Ekko will always have one foot in the past.
She knew, deep down, that he was still tethered to Jinx. No matter how much he tried to prove otherwise, no matter how many promises he made, he could never fully release her. She would always be the first choice in his heart.
That lingering ghost that casted a shadow over everything Y/N dreamed to build with him.
Y/N took a slow, shaky breath. "I—I don't know what to say Ekko."
Ekko's face tightened with concern, his brow furrowing. "What do you mean?"
Y/N shook her head, the tears that had threatened to fall now blurring her vision. "I...I want to believe you. I really fucking do..." she whispered. "I want to believe that you can love me the way I deserve. But I... I can't keep fighting for a place in your heart."
The words felt like a punch to her own chest, but they were the truth.
She had to say them.
Ekko's expression faltered, the guilt and regret washing over him. He opened his mouth to speak, but the words caught in his throat. He wanted to tell her she was wrong, wanted to say that Jinx didn't matter to him anymore, that Y/N was his choice. But he couldn't.
Y/N took a step back, her chest tightening as she wiped away a tear. "I can't keep pretending that it doesn't matter Ekko. I can't keep pretending that I'm enough when you're always looking back at her."
"I'm not—" he started, but Y/N cut him off.
"No.." she said, her voice a little stronger now, though it still trembled. "You can't choose me the way I need you to. And...I—I deserve someone who chooses me, not someone who's always going to have a piece of their heart somewhere else."
Ekko stood there, speechless. He wanted to say something, to make her understand that he never meant to hurt her, that he loved her so much, but the truth was..
she was right.
Y/N could see the pain in his eyes, but it wasn't enough. Not anymore. "I think it's time for me to move on..." she whispered, her voice cracking.
Her words hung heavy in the air, like an unspeakable truth, and Ekko's chest tightening with each syllable she uttered. His mouth opened, but no words came out. It made it impossible for him to respond.
Y/N took a shaky breath, "I've given everything I can to this... to us" she continued, her voice a little steadier now. "But I can't keep sacrificing myself.."
Ekko's heart cracked at the finality in her words. She did deserve better than the half-hearted love he was giving her.
"I'm so sorry Y/N." he murmured, the words feeling empty as they left his mouth, too late, too little.
But Y/N couldn't let herself be swayed by his sorrowful tone anymore. The trust she had placed in him had been shattered over time, and now all that remained was the stark truth of what was.
She took another step back, her shoulders squared, her chin raised high. She wouldn't let him break her again.
"I know.." she whispered, her voice quieter now, the words more for herself than for him. "But knowing doesn't change anything." She paused, taking a deep breath before the words she knew she had to say. "I'm sorry too Ekko. But this is goodbye."
The finality in her voice struck him right then and there. For a moment, he just stared at her, his mind racing, trying to comprehend what she was saying. He didn't know how to make her stay now, everything he had done had already pushed her too far.
Ekko's sudden frustration grew. He moved toward her quickly, grabbing onto her arm with a fierce grip. "No Y/N" he growled, his voice rough. "You can't just—"
But before he could finish, he saw it. The way she stiffened at his touch, not even glancing at him. The realization hit him like a cold wave. She was done. Completely done. She wasn't going to let him hurt her anymore.
His fingers tightened around her arm, almost instinctively, but her cold silence forced him to slowly let go. Every ounce of frustration, and heartbreak he had been holding onto drained out of him in that one moment.
"Please baby..." he whispered hoarsely, his voice cracking as the weight of what he had done sank in. "Please...not like this.."
Y/N didn't respond. She just pulled her arm free and took another step back, distancing herself from him.
Ekko stood there, stuck—feeling like the ground had been pulled out from under him.
it was too late.
Y/N had already made up her mind.
"Goodbye...Ekko..."
With one final look, she turned and walked away from him, the sound of her footsteps echoing in the empty street. And as he watched her leave, he finally understood. This time, he couldn't fix it.
And this time, he wasn't sure if he even deserved to.
She was gone. And it was his fault.
The night air felt cold against his skin, a stark contrast to the heat building in his chest. Every emotion that had once fueled him had been extinguished, replaced by a hollow emptiness that felt like a slow suffocation.
He had pushed her away. He had let his insecurities, his fears about Jinx, and his own selfishness dictate his actions. And now, he was left with nothing but the echo of her words, ringing in his ears.
"I think it's time for me to move on..."
He thought back to everything he had said. He had never given her what she needed, and now, she was gone.
He didn't know how long he stood there, lost in his thoughts, but eventually, the reality of the situation settled in. She wasn't coming back.
He had lost her, and he had no one to blame but himself.
Ekko finally turned away from the spot where she had stood, walking slowly through the streets. The city was as chaotic as ever, but he couldn't bring himself to care. Nothing mattered anymore.
He didn't know what to do next, or how to fix what he had broken. But one thing was clear.
he would never forget her.
He would never forget Y/N.
Y/N found herself lying on the cold ground. She didn't know how she had gotten there, didn't even bother to care anymore. Her body felt numb, her mind in a haze from the alcohol and the emotional wreck that had occurred. She stared up at the sky, trying to steady her breathing, but the weight of everything, the loneliness—pressed down on her chest.
For a moment, she thought she might suffocate under it all.
But then, something shifted next to her. The air around her seemed to change, as if the world was still holding its breath. She turned her head to the side.
And there he was again.
Levi's familiar face appeared beside her, his features soft in the dim green light, his eyes blinking as if he'd just woken up. He was lying next to her, his arm stretched out across the cold ground, looking every bit as confused as she was right now. His dark hair fell messily around his face.
and for a brief second, Y/N felt a strange sense of peace.
Levi blinked a few more times, his confusion slowly giving way to a soft smile as he realized it was her. "Y/N?" he muttered, his voice low and slightly groggy. "What the hell are you doing out here? Did you follow me here?"
Y/N didn't respond immediately. She just kept staring at him, taking in the sight of him as if he were a lifeline thrown her way in the midst of drowning. His presence was a stark contrast to everything she'd just gone through.
Without even thinking, she threw her arms around him. The hug came out of nowhere, and for a moment, Levi froze in place, his breath catching in surprise. But then, slowly, his big strong arms circled around her too. She buried her face in his chest, holding on tightly, as if afraid he might disappear the moment she let go.
Levi, still shocked but now fully awake, whispered into her hair. "Y/N what's going on? Are you okay?"
She shook her head, her voice muffled by his shirt as the tears she hadn't let fall earlier started to come. She couldn't find the words to explain the storm swirling inside her, but the hug was enough to make her feel like she wasn't entirely alone. Not for now. Not in this moment.
"I don't know," she whispered, her voice cracking. "I don't know anymore."
Levi didn't ask any more questions. Instead, he just held her tighter, letting her cry into his chest. The city of Zaun seemed distant, as if the noise of it all had faded away. For now, in his arms, she found something she hadn't realized she needed—comfort. Understanding. And for the first time in a long time, she didn't feel like she was falling apart completely.
As her tears slowed, she pulled back away from him to meet his gaze. There was something in his eyes, something so kind. He was there. And for the first time in a long time, Y/N didn't feel like she was carrying the weight of the world alone.
"I'm so sorry" she whispered again, her voice quieter this time, her eyes searching his face.
Levi gave her a small, almost sad smile. "Don't apologize...We all have our moments. I'm just glad you found me, even if it's in the middle of the damn street."
Y/N chuckled softly, wiping at her eyes. "Yeah, well... wasn't exactly the plan."
Levi tilted his head, a crooked smile playing on his lips. "The best things never are I guess..."
She smiled faintly, the weight on her chest lifting just a little. For the first time in what felt like forever, she didn't feel completely alone. They sat there in comfortable silence, the distant hum of Zaun's chaos fading into the background.
As the minutes stretched, the exhaustion of the day began to settle in. Y/N leaned back against the cold ground, staring up at the patch of stars visible through the smoke-filled air. Levi followed, his arms folding beneath his head as he lay beside her.
"You know..." he said after a moment, "this is probably the strangest way I've ever made a friend."
Y/N turned her head to look at him, a faint laugh escaping her lips. "Friend, huh? Is that what we are now?"
"Would you prefer being enemies now?" Levi replied, chuckling.
She rolled her eyes, but there was a softness to her expression. "Nah, I could use a friend right now."
"Good." he said, his tone light. "Because I could use one too."
They stayed like that, lying side by side under Zaun's polluted sky. Y/N's eyes grew heavy, the day's events finally catching up to her.
"Levi?" she murmured sleepily.
"Hm?"
"Thanks for... being here. Even though we just met today.." she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Anytime" he replied softly.
"Get some rest, Y/N. You're safe."
And she really did believe him.
They both drifted off there on the cold ground of Zaun, two broken souls finding solace in each other's company.
It wasn't perfect, and it didn't fix everything, but it was a start.

It's nice to make new friends
A dad!Vander fic (with my og character, Luna, Vander's fifth adopted child)
Masterlist: there you go
Disclaimer: english ain't my first language folks
Tumblr media
It was a rare sunny day in the Lanes, the kind of day when kids ran wild through the streets, taking advantage of the light and warmth before Zaun’s ever-present smog rolled back in. Vander had sent Vi, Mylo, and Claggor off on some errand, at which they excitedly leaped out of the bar to run around the streets freely, while he had to take care of an errands with some suppliers, leaving Powder and Luna in the care of Benzo, who’d offered to watch them while Vander worked.
Luna had met Benzo a few times at The Last Drop during the first few weeks she began living with Vander. He was a familiar face in the bustling bar, his voice carrying easily over the noise as he greeted Vander or exchanged quick words with patrons. The first time she saw him, she had been perched on one of the barstools, swinging her legs nervously as Vander prepared her a midday snack in the back. Benzo had walked in, his coat slightly dusty from the streets, and immediately noticed her sitting there, small and quiet.
“And who are you?” Benzo had asked with a warm smile, leaning on the bar close to her.
Luna froze, unsure if she should answer; Vander had told her to not talk to strangers or anyone he or the kids didn’t know. Luckily Vander appeared from the kitchen just then, a plate in his hands, and gave her a reassuring nod.
“This here’s Luna,” Vander said, setting the plate down in front of her. “She’s staying with us now.”
Benzo’s expression softened as he studied her. “Luna, huh? That’s a good name. I’m Benzo.”
She offered a timid nod in response, her hands clutching the edge of the stool. Something about the way he spoke—kind, but not overly sweet, like other adults would do—made her relax just a little.
Benzo dropped by several times, sometimes for business with Vander and other times just to have a drink and a chat with his friend. He always made a point to greet her, his voice warm and friendly, never rushing her to talk more than she was ready for.
“You settling in all right?” he asked her one evening, noticing how she lingered near the door to the back room while the older kids laughed and played a rowdy game at one of the tables.
She nodded, fiddling with the hem of her shirt. “It’s… loud sometimes.”
Benzo chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “Yeah, they’ve got energy, those ones. But you’ll get used to it. They’re a good bunch.” She liked that he didn’t push her to join in if she wasn’t ready. He didn’t treat her like a child who needed coaxing, but rather like someone who just needed a little space. “I’ve got a little rascal at my shop too. Ekko. He’s a good kid. Maybe you can come meet him some day. The others like him, I’m sure you’ll do too.”
As she had gotten to trust Benzo, and Vander trusted him too, he dropped Powder and Luna off at his shop for the day. Benzo’s place was cluttered with gadgets, tools, and trinkets, the kind of place that seemed to breathe chaos but held endless wonder for curious kids. Luna sat cross-legged on the floor, tinkering with a broken wind-up toy Benzo had handed her to keep her occupied. Powder, as usual, was bouncing from one corner of the shop to the next, poking at anything that caught her eye.
The shop bell jingled, and a boy about Powder’s age stepped inside. His brown skin glowed in the sunlight, and his bright white hair made him stand out like a star against Zaun’s gloom. He wore patched clothes and carried a satchel slung over one shoulder.
“Ekko,” Benzo greeted with a nod.
“Got the parts you asked for,” the boy replied cheerfully, dropping the satchel onto the counter. His voice was confident, and he moved with the ease of someone who knew the shop well.
Powder perked up immediately, bounding over to him. “Ekko!” she said, grinning wide. “You’re back! Did you bring anything cool?”
Ekko smirked, pulling a few gears and shiny bits from his bag. “Always got something cool for you.”
Luna watched from her spot on the floor, her hands pausing on the toy she was fixing. She wasn’t used to people outside her family—she still felt shy around strangers, even ones Powder seemed to know. She remembered the boy’s name, though: Ekko. It was the boy Benzo had told her about, the one that lived with him.
“Who’s that?” Ekko asked, noticing her for the first time.
“That’s Luna,” Powder said, her tone cheerful but matter-of-fact. “She’s our sister. Well, kinda. Vander took her in.”
Luna shrank a little under Ekko’s curious gaze, but he walked over to her nonetheless, smiling.
“Hey,” he said, crouching down to her level. “You fixin’ that?” He gestured to the toy in her hands.
Luna nodded hesitantly. “It’s broken,” she murmured, her voice barely audible.
“Lemme see,” Ekko said, holding out a hand. Luna hesitated for a moment before handing the toy to him. “I’m Ekko, by the way.”
“Luna.” she replied shyly
He turned it over in his hands, examining it carefully. “Yeah, this spring’s all bent outta shape. I got one in my bag that might fit.” He went back to his satchel, rummaging through it before pulling out a small, shiny spring.
Powder plopped down beside them, watching intently as Ekko worked. “You’re really good at that,” she said.
“Better than you,” Ekko teased, earning a playful shove from Powder.
Luna watched quietly, her eyes wide as Ekko skillfully replaced the spring and wound up the toy. It started moving again, its little legs kicking as it wobbled across the floor.
“There,” Ekko said, handing it back to her. “Good as new.”
Luna smiled shyly, her fingers curling around the toy. “Thank you,” she said softly.
“Don’t mention it,” Ekko replied with a grin. “You stick around long enough, I’ll teach you how to fix stuff like that yourself.”
Luna didn’t respond, but something in his easy smile and friendly tone put her at ease.
At first, Luna hadn’t said much, shyly staying close to Powder and clutching the hem of her dress as Ekko chatted. But as the day went on, she began to warm up; Ekko had a knack for breaking through her quiet reserve, his jokes and teasing drawing shy giggles from her that gradually grew louder. He made silly faces, exaggerated his stories, and even let her fiddle with a gadget he’d been tinkering with.
By the afternoon, Luna was comfortable enough to sit beside Ekko on the shop counter, her small legs swinging as she laughed at something he’d said. Powder had joined them, eagerly showing off a collection of shiny bits and bobbles Benzo had given her.
When Vander came to pick up Luna and Powder from the shop, he paused in the doorway, taking in the sight of Luna perched on the counter next to Ekko, the two of them giggling with Powder. A soft smile spread across Vander’s face as he crossed the room.
“What’s this, huh?” he asked, his voice warm and gruff. “You make a new friend, Lu?”
Luna nodded, her smile small but genuine. “This is Ekko,” she said, pointing to him proudly as if introducing someone important.
Ekko looked up at Vander, his usual confidence not faltering under the man’s towering presence. He straightened a little, though, the awe and respect in his wide eyes unmistakable. “Hey Vander!”
Vander tilted his head, his expression kind. “Hey yourself,” he replied, his deep voice rumbling with amusement as he reached out to ruffle Luna’s hair. “You treat my girls right, yeah?”
“Always,” Ekko said with a grin.
Vander’s gaze lingered on the kids for a beat longer, before moving to Benzo, who was a few feet away repairing an old machine, leaving the kids be for a few more minutes.
Later, as they left the shop, Vander slung a hand protectively around Luna’s and Powder’s shoulder, large enough to encompass nearly their entire backs. They leaned into his side, feeling the weight of his presence and the safety it brought. Luna carried the toy Benzo had given her with her, now repaired with the help of Ekko.
“Did you have fun today?” Vander said as they walked back to the bar.
“Yes!” answered Powder. “Can we come back soon?”
“We’ll see,” Vander chuckled. He turned his gaze to Luna. “Did you like Ekko?”
Luna nodded, her voice soft but certain. “He’s funny. And nice.”
“That’s good, Lu. It’s nice to make new friends.”
From that day forward, Ekko became a regular part of Luna’s world. He’d come over to The Last Drop alongside Benzo more often, and he began to join her, Powder, Mylo, Vi and Claggor in their games. She also kept the toy she had gotten that day, in a trunk by her cot, alongside the other little treasures she was starting to collect: a smooth round stone from Mylo that reminded him of the moon, a scrap of fabric Vi said might make a good headband someday, a bent nail Claggor had told her was “lucky”, and some crayons from Powder.
A little treasure from every sibling.

pairing: vi x caitlyn (arcane)
wc: 1,671
tags: sleepy caitvi, a lot of interiority, could this be called a character study?
read on ao3!
Vi must’ve been a saint in her past life to afford this.
She was sitting in between Caitlyn’s deft legs. The couch cushions sucked her in deeper into the crevice. Final bits of sunlight streamed through the thin curtains hung on the grand walls of their living room.
Luxury took some getting used to. The home—palace—Vi moved into after the battle with Noxus was so big it was almost lonely. Especially when Caitlyn was gone. She figured Caitlyn shared the sentiment, though, because she always greeted Vi like she was a husband back from war. On a good day, she’d kiss up Vi’s neck and cheek until she reached her lips in something tender.
On a bad day, however, they usually ended up like this. With Caitlyn holding her close in silence. The first time it happened, Vi was so worried that she couldn’t keep her mouth shut.
Silence made her uncomfortable. Her life was always full of inescapable amounts of it. It made her confront unpleasant moments in her life, and it allowed her to concoct the most horrific visions of where Powder was, whether she was even still alive.
Her ramblings overwhelmed Caitlyn the first time it had happened. She took Vi’s hands, giving her a thin smile. “I need you to let it be quiet, Vi.”
Those words stuck with her. Let it be quiet. Caitlyn wasn’t the most levelheaded person. In fact, she was far from it sometimes. Brash, opinionated, and bold. That was her Cait. Losing her eye made her more wary, but she would never let a stray opinion slide without putting in her two cents. It made dinner parties with the Council incredibly awkward, especially ones including Sevika. Those were going to be uncomfortable regardless, Vi supposed.
Caitlyn’s fingers carded through Vi’s hair without rush. Like they had all day to do this. Like their lives weren’t so busy, tearing each other apart in favor of maintaining their professional lives.
Cait was an important woman. Sometimes it felt like Vi existed just to sit around and wait for her, but recently she’d been working on taking control of her own life. Vi never had the opportunity to live for herself. She spent all of her time chasing Powder to the ends of the Earth, then doing the same with Jinx.
Now that fight was over. Jinx was gone—dead, along with Vander. Now what? Who did she have to fight for now? Caitlyn is perfectly capable, and Ekko has been MIA. Vi was born and raised to be a protector, but what does a loyal knight do when their kingdom is slaughtered?
“Hey,” Caitlyn croaked, voice hoarse from a day of shouting orders. She wasn’t in a bad mood, Vi had gauged. More sleepy.
Vi thought she was adorable like this. It was one of the only times she fully let her guard down, dropping her icy and sarcastic exterior for something more vulnerable and precious. The idea that she was the only one allowed to see Caitlyn like this made tears spike her eyes. Vi always was the sentimental type.
Caitlyn brushed a piece of Vi’s hair out of her face. Her pink lips turned up into a smile. “What are you thinking about?” she asked.
Vi took her hand, turning her head to kiss the inside of Caitlyn’s wrist. “Nothin’,” she replied easily.
“Yeah, right.”
This was a game they played frequently. Vi always found it simpler to deflect, because articulating her feelings was difficult. No one had ever really doted on her. Vander tried his best, but there was only so much he could do with the four of them. Then when he died, a part of her did too.
So, she learned to keep it in. Out of sight, out of mind. If Vi voiced every harrowing thought she had, it would be a constant stream of babbling.
Caitlyn, as she did with every other facet of Vi’s life, had a way of making her re-evaluate. It was a knack they had for one another. They were consistently bettering one another. Growing together. She found it quite romantic.
“I could die between these thighs, cupcake,” Vi said, charm lacing her tone as she reached behind her to grab one of Caitlyn’s thighs. The muscle underneath the skin was undeniable.
After the fight with Ambessa, Vi was nervous about Caitlyn going back into the battlefield. She knew Caitlyn was capable of defending herself. Vi had seen Caitlyn kick ass more times than she could count.
The thought of losing Caitlyn—the only solid rock she had left—made a shiver run down her spine. So yeah, Vi was stubborn about letting her go back into training.
Caitlyn had just gone back into strength training a few weeks ago. Her thighs were firm with the effort, flexed to accommodate for Vi’s figure. The muscles jumped under Vi’s grip.
There was a moment where both of them were quiet. Vi turned around so she was facing Caitlyn, moving up her figure to press their lips together. One of Vi’s hands met Caitlyn’s waist, thumb smoothing over the silky skin there.
Even from their first kiss, they understood each other quite well. Vi liked when Caitlyn ran her teeth along Vi’s bottom lip. Caitlyn liked when Vi picked her up with zero effort, parading her around bridal style and throwing her on their bed gently. Vi could never bring herself to be too rough with Caitlyn.
Caitlyn liked to be caged, but not enough that she couldn’t assert her own dominance. Control was important to Caitlyn. After being denied it for so long, she could even go too far. Vi was always there to try to talk some sense into her.
So, Vi caged her. She put a hand on either side of Caitlyn’s body, still lying over her. The position wasn’t the most comfortable, but it worked for both of them while their lips continued to touch. This is where Vi felt safest.
“Do you want to go to bed?” Caitlyn whispered, voice cracking with sleepiness. She brushed a piece of magenta hair out of Vi’s eyes, expression so incredibly fond. Like Vi was something to be treasured.
When most people looked at Vi, they saw someone beyond repair. Someone that only did things for others. A expendable follower with no real opinions of her own. It was no secret to her. The discrimination she experienced within the Council walls should’ve been enough for her to quit. She didn’t know how Viktor used to do it, especially beside someone as naive as Jayce.
This made it all worth it. Caitlyn looking at her like she hung the moon and stars. It left no doubt in her mind: it would always be like this, as long as they both allowed it.
“Just wanna stay here for a few more minutes. Is that okay with you?” Vi asked, running her thumb underneath Caitlyn’s good eye. The skin there was thin with a purple tint. Caitlyn was never the best with sleep. Her demons kept her awake, the same way they did with Vi. Everyone had demons nowadays. Everyone lost someone in that war.
Caitlyn nodded. “Just a couple more minutes.”
The only sound in the room was that of the birds chirping outside on a branch. The sounds of nature were active and alive in the warm sunset.
Whenever Vi saw a bird with a blue belly, she wondered if it was her sister. Not Powder nor Jinx, someone in between, maybe? The smaller the bird, the more delicate she imagined her sister.
There was a nest above their kitchen window, and Caitlyn had found Vi stifling sobs at the countertop when they finally hatched. Six tiny little birds without any feathers, chirping helplessly in the nest. Caitlyn had come up behind her, rubbing her back knowingly while Vi buried her face into her own hands.
Even recalling the memory made Vi’s eyebrows bunch together. In her safe place between Caitlyn’s legs, she could express anything she wanted. She hoped Caitlyn felt the same, but Vi had held her through her own tears countless times. They both had scars that would never fully heal.
“Alright, baby, let’s go to sleep,” Vi said.
She stood up, and then she hoisted up Caitlyn with her. Bridal style, the way she liked. Usually it had a sexual connotation, but Vi felt too soft for that tonight. Holding her like this, listening to giggles explode out of her chest, that would be enough.
Their bedroom was just as massive as every other room in the house. With a grand bed that looked like it belonged to a princess. It did, really. Caitlyn was the closest thing they’d ever get to a princess. She could be just as bossy as one.
A few seconds later they were laying side by side. Caitlyn’s fingers brushed along Vi’s back tattoos. It was like magic, and Caitlyn knew it. She immediately grew tired, fighting to keep her eyes open.
A pair of lips pressed against Vi’s cheek. She felt teeth when Caitlyn smiled.
“Love you,” Vi mumbled out, grinning dumbly with her eyes shut.
Caitlyn sighed, pressing a few more kisses to the same spot. “I love you more, baby. Get some rest.”
Vi didn’t have the energy to fight that. She didn’t know when she settled into unconscious, but it didn’t matter. Not when it was the two of them. Time had a different meaning then. Not daunting and inevitable, but syrupy and kind.
The last thing she thought about before bed were the baby birds outside of their kitchen window. Even if her sister was gone, she would be okay. For that spring, another set of birds would hatch. Then another, then another. They’d be sitting in the kitchen, too old to move like they want to, watching the birds come out of their shells to mark a new spring.
That was what made life worth living, Vi supposed.

My Timebomb fanfic from two years ago suddenly started getting a ton of traction on AO3 (hilarious, if you ask me), so I went looking through my drafts for another fanfic I remember writing at the time. It's not finished, it's not good enough for AO3 but I still want the Tumblr Whores to have it, so here:
Life is funny.
That was Ekko's last thought before he jumped off the roof and landed heavily on his hoverboard, making it heel over and skim the surface of the river below. It splashed his boots, the water seeping through the leather and reaching his socks. He stabilized himself and shot up. Time was a precious commodity he couldn't afford to waste.
A bullet barely missed the top of his head when he abandoned the cover of the wall. He spun above the building, keeping his eyes firmly locked on her.
Ah, Jinx. Destructive, dangerous, bad news in one of the most beautiful disguises nature could offer. The Firelights' worst concern. Little Man's biggest regret. She made him feel like she was the only one who could pump air in his lungs, his hands itched to strangle the wind out of hers. His first love, his most ardent hatred. He would gladly mourn her at her feet one second if he could drive a knife through her heart the next. Her features were familiar, she'd gotten rid of several faces he forced himself to add to the mural, right next to hers.
He would kill her today.
Would he hesitate?
Frustrated, he stomped the front of his board. It tilted forwards and he dove down, club in hand, ready to strike. Jinx saw him out of the corner of her eye and shot indiscriminately. As he dodged the first round, he suddenly thanked his gut for recommending he handled this particular mission alone. Her machine gun was effective to a fault with big groups, but much less so individually. It was heavy and even though she was definitely strong enough for it, it slowed her down and made her deadly aim slightly more manageable. All he needed was to eliminate some distance and he'd have her.
He swung when he got close. She ducked. Of course she ducked. Then it was just a game of speed: would he turn his hoverboard around the fastest, or would he get a bullet in the neck?
She won, she was always faster and faster. With the years, he'd learned he couldn't keep up. All he could do was face her for just the right amount of time for her shot to hit the board instead of him and send him tumbling to the ground.
Static noise fizzled in his ears on first impact. His mask cracked and fell apart a moment afterwards. He shook his head and the white dots on his field of vision disappeared. The club was still on his hand, Jinx had yet to open fire on him. That was all he needed to know before lunging forward, screaming.
She laughed. She always laughed, even as he knocked her beloved weapon out of her hands and forced her to back away to avoid his hits.
"Ah, Boy Savior," she proclaimed as if he were the guest she'd been expecting. "Long time no see. Came to check up on little old me? I'm touched."
He charged forward again. Yes, he had. He always did. Always on her heels to find out where she'd been, who she'd crossed, how she came out of those encounters she didn't try to avoid. "Studying the enemy", that was what he called it, what his Firelights thought it was. But some knew. Eve added tidbits about her in her reports, Scar dissuaded others from joining in missions just like this one when intel indicated she'd be around with a stern glance. They never brought it up, never shamed him for it, but they knew Ekko still saw a sliver of Powder in Jinx, even if he was pretty damn good at ignoring it.
She holstered herself up on a nearby pipe like a feline and his club met only metal. "Feeling very chatty today, aren't we?"
"Get down from there." He wiped the sweat off his upper lip.
"Nope."
"We're fighting."
"You're fighting, I wanna chat about our days and have a nice cup of tea together."
"Unless you wanna talk about Shimmer, I'm not interested."
"But that's so boring." She rested her chin on her fist and propped her elbow up on her knee. "And I have nothing to tell you that you don't already know, do I? I'm not in charge of that stuff. You should ask Sevika. I get it, she's not as pretty as me—"
"Enough chit chat," he cut her off and slammed his club into the pipe.
Smoke sizzled out of the dent he left in the metal. She bellowed when it clouded her, so she stood up, holding her gun with murderous intent. Her hand didn't tremble as she pointed down and slowly scanned her surroundings in search of a target. He crouched deeper into the makeshift fog. She was right above him. If he jumped—
"There you are."
A shot rang in his ear, missing his arm by an inch. The bullet ricocheted against the ground and clanked to a stop near his feet. He looked up and saw her sardonic smile, the ever present tinge of craze cranked to a hundred. The trajectory of the shot had cleared a straight path through the smoke.
One.
She fired again. He dodged and ran towards the areas where the smoke was denser. It did him no good; she just blew it off again. Two.
He dropped to the ground when a third bullet whistled by his ear. A fourth one lodged firmly into another pipe behind him, making it puke a dark goo all over his shoes. The one that flew off the roof was five and the one he managed to deflect with a bunt of his club was six.
No one was too much of a threat with an empty cartridge.
He kicked the parapet and propelled himself into the air. Jinx had a thumb on the cylinder, ready to push it open and reload, but she didn't get a chance. Her eyes flashed wide in surprise, and next thing she knew, he had hammered his weapon into her ribs and thrown her off the pipe.
They tumbled down together after he lost his momentum. He heard her gasp when she collided against something. His joints cried at the repeated abuse he put them through by falling from different heights, but he regained his footing immediately and attacked again. Even though she was still on the ground, she slithered away from the swing of his club. So he tried again and again. He hit the ground again. Curse her, she could never stop being faster than him, nimbler, more agile.
It had always been like this, hadn't it? She used to fit in every vent and alley like she fit in the cracks of his heart and he used to win wrestling matches with as much ease as he tore holes in the concrete roof.
Finally, she reached the edge. She tried rolling to the side, but he discarded the club and snagged her up by the shoulders. His fingers dug into what little flesh she had. She was all bone and skin that quickly turned purple in his grip. She growled and twisted, her nails pulling at his coat in a vain attempt to break free. But he rammed her body against the parapet and ignored her manic, wordless objections as he tried to bring himself to tighten his hands around her throat.
She spat on his face. "Violent behavior for a savior."
He clenched his fingers, adding just the tiniest bit of pressure. "Shut up."
"Come on!" She wheezed. "Do it, Boy Savior! Go all in before it's too late!"
"Shut up."
"Don't tell me you're scared!" Even choking, she laughed. "After all this time, you get scared now?"
"Shut up, shut up," he hissed, "shut up."
"You can shut me up," she suggested innocently. "Forever. But hurry up, I'm getting impatient here."
He was trying. He wanted to press down and get it over with. But Powder… No. Powder was dead. He was just getting rid of the corpse.
"Okay, yeah, you're taking too long." He felt cold steel against his side, right above his left hip. "My turn."
Of course, he thought. Of course she had modified her cartridge to hold seven bullets instead of six. Of course he'd failed to take that into account. Of course she'd wait until he had her to pull her final, most cruel prank.
Through the splotches of white in his vision, he saw Powder's muscles tense to push him off herself and dump him over the parapet. He saw her face, framed by choppy bangs, curiously peek over the side of the building as he fell. Her hand caressed her neck and the pain that blazed in his abdomen mixed with guilt. I'm sorry I hurt you. He tried to reach out to her, because goddamn, he missed her. I just wanted to save you.
But she was too far away and his body crashed into the warm water below. As he sank, he found out he couldn't swim. His mouth filled with water and blood as he tried to scream her name.
Everything went dark.
- - -
Jinx had already mentally prepared her thank-you speech for when Silco congratulated her for finishing off the leader of those pesky Firelights when she realized Ekko was going to drown.
Ekko.
Drown.
Die.
"Way to go, Jinx," Mylo leaned over the parapet to watch. "You killed the last one of us. Guess you can cross that off your list."
"I don't want to hear it," she growled, but she remained frozen in her spot, watching Ekko sink lower and lower.
Ekko.
Sink.
Drown.
Die.
"You're really going to let him die?" Claggor had always been kinder and more soft spoken. It was usually a welcome change from Mylo's harsh truths, but right now, it felt like a spear through the ribs. "Like this."
"Yes. No. I have to."
Claggor sighed, disappointed.
Ekko.
Die.
The water was polluted. If he magically didn't drown, the garbage would infect his wound and kill him painfully.
Had they hurt when they died?
"You know, it was unavoidable," Mylo continued. "One by one, we would all fall before the Jinx."
She barely registered his words through her throbbing pulse in her temples.
Ekko
Die.
Forever.
Gone.
Silco wouldn't be happy. Sevika would want her head. She didn't care what Sevika thought. Silco wouldn't congratulate her on this.
"Dive in first," Claggor encouraged her. "Think it through later."
Ekko.
He couldn't die.
Not like this, not yet.
Not by her hand.
"Give it up, Claggor, she can't save anyone." Mylo. Always so mean. "All she can do is break."
Ekko.
"—curse—"
He wouldn't die.
"—and jinx everything."
The rest of Mylo's insults were lost in the whooshing of the wind as she jumped.
- - -
Ekko stumbled in and out of consciousness. He saw his feet, half staggering, half dragging through mud. He heard cursing in a familiar voice. He felt something dense and warm trickling down his leg. Every cell on his body was on fire, but he was shaking.
It was so cold.
After half an hour of drowsy pain, a faint smell of trees brought him back. Green spots. Moonlight. Life. With extreme effort, he forced himself awake. The first thing he noticed was the bony arm holding him up, covered in swirls of blue.
"Welcome back, Boy Savior."
Powder?
Jinx.
He struggled weakly. If there was grass, there was only one place they could be. The Firelight Hideout. Jinx was in the Hideout. She had him, probably as a hostage. Scar wouldn't fight for him, neither would Eve or the others. He knew they'd surrender for him. It couldn't end like this. Powder had been the end of him, but Jinx wouldn't be the end of them.
"Woah, relax, silly." She tilted his weight onto herself. "You're hurt. Don't wanna bleed more than necessary, do we?"
His mind finally began to clear and he realized they were already in front of his cabin. She kicked the door open and walked him through. Helped? Impossible. It had to be a trick. He shoved her away and his side flared up in pain of a thousand colors as soon as he set his left foot down. His knees buckled underneath him and his back hit the desk.
"Would you stop that?" She yanked him up and threw his arm over her shoulder to support him. "Someone's going to hear us."
"If they do, all the better." He didn't try to break away again. She was the only thing keeping him standing and he didn't like the plan of falling and bleeding all over everything again. Because yes, he was bleeding, as far as he could tell by the wet stain on his pants and the puddle on the floor. "I'll scream. They'll get you."
"Please." She helped him lay down on the bed and turned around to lock the door. It worried him even more when she propped up a chair against it. "You know damn well your goons wouldn't last a minute against me."
They would. She was unarmed, possibly battered up from their fight, and completely surrounded. Then again, he wouldn't put it above her to blow everything up with one match and a bottle of soda.
So he opted to slowly settle down on the bed, moving as little as humanly possible. "They're not my goons."
"Don't go all semantics-crazy on me. Where do you keep the first aid kit?"
He pointed towards the closet. Soon enough, her weight dipped down the mattress by his side, and he didn't have the strength to kick her out.
"Okay, Boy Savior," she pulled out gauze and a latex glove and set them on the nightstand. "I'm taking the bullet out. It'll suck. Hold on to something."
"Are you insane?" He blocked her hand before she could get close to his wound. "Leave it there. Do you want me to bleed out?"
She looked him dead in the eye. "Do you know all the shit I put in my bullets? It's been an hour already. It's a marvel you're not dead. So stop moving if you don't want to die."
"I'll get a doctor instead."
"You don't need a doctor with me here."
"You are the reason I need a doctor at all."
"Oh shush." She set his hand down on the mattress by his side. "Hold your breath."
He closed his eyes and heard the latex snap against her skin. This was an awful idea. Life endangering even. And he let her? He really just allowed her to reach inside his wounds to pull out a bullet she put in? What in the world—
His entire body contorted when something that was once hard and cold came out warm and covered in things he needed to live. It was like opening a tap. Blood spilled like water out of a fountain and wet his clothes and his bed. He held back a scream. A hand clutched his own and he squeezed.
It wasn't like he hadn't lived through worse, but knowing it was Jinx patching him up hurt a hundred times more.
He slowly opened his eyes. She had pulled up his shirt up to his stomach and was wrapping clean cloth around his waist. He squinted at the way she swiftly worked with only one hand. She hadn't let go yet, so he did first and gripped the covers instead. He was still shaking.
Red seeped through the bandages, but she kept adding more until it was kept under control. The pressure on his hip felt relieving. Not good, not any less painful, but at least he wasn't dying.
He didn't thank her. He would never.
"There we go," she patted his side. "Good boy. Good Boy Savior."
"Do you ever shut up?"
"Nuh-uh," she wiggled a finger in the air. "No complaints are accepted if you throw away your shot at shutting me up."
His eyes landed on the dark marks in her neck. They were even, almost like they'd been painted with thin brush strokes instead of murderous intent. Powder wouldn't have forgiven him, he thought. But it didn't matter, because Powder was dead and he had no interest in asking for Jinx's forgiveness.
"You need to leave." He pushed himself up on one arm. To his surprise, she didn't try to keep him down, but rather wordlessly helped him to sit up. "Now."
"No."
Realization hit the bottom of his stomach like a punch to the gut. "How do you even know where this place is?"
She scoffed. "Are you kidding? I followed you a thousand times. Duh."
They knew. They had found them. A long time ago. If they hadn't attacked yet, that could only mean they had a terrifying fate ready for them. But they couldn't leave. They'd work too hard for their taste of paradise to give it up without a fight.
"What's Silco planning?" He seized her by the shoulders. "You have to tell me. What's he gonna do to us?"
"Silco doesn't know where you guys are."
His hands dropped. "What?"
"Only I know," she winked. "It's my secret."
"Why? Why didn't you tell him, if you knew?"
She shrugged. "He never asked."
He didn't find the words to answer that. So he didn't. He just stared at her unkempt braids and her bangs that stuck to her face. He belatedly realized he was drenched as well. That was why he felt so heavy. His coat had soaked up water like a sponge and his scarf had drawn so tightly around his neck he was almost choking. The covers around him were damp already.
Her eyes followed his and dropped on his clothes. "Come on, Boy Savior, let's get you out of those wet clothes."
She tugged at the lapels of his coat, but he snatched her wrist before she could pull it off him. "You need to leave."
"No." She closed her fist around the fabric, even as he held her hand as far away from him as his strength allowed him. "You're gonna go cold. Too early for that. You need to die first."
"I'll handle myself."
"You can barely move."
"And whose fault is that?"
"Just let me—"
"Let you what?"
Her silence sizzled in the air between them for all of the fourteen seconds she held his gaze (he counted). They'd gone darker, her eyes. Beyond all the the light in your eyes is gone bullshit, they seemed several shades deeper now. Maybe it was the poor lighting in his room. Maybe it was a natural effect of aging. How come it was such a surprise for him? He should have been with her for so much time he couldn't tell the differences between one day and the other until they found old photos and laughed at how much they'd changed since then. But no. He was there, in the moment, finding new things he had no way of knowing were there.
She had freckles on her nose now, and maybe they were why he loosened his grip on her when she said, "let me help. For once, let me do something right. Just one thing, one time. Let me help."
He gave up and rested his head back against the wall. She started with the coat, slowly sliding it off his shoulders. It was a weight off his back, almost immediate. She undid his utility belt and laid it on the desk, careful not to break anything. He didn't do anything to stop her from unwrapping his scarf, but made no move to help either. After all, she wanted to help, right? So let her help, let her manage.
Before she continued with the last layer of clothing, she got up to get new clothes to replace the wet ones with. Ekko closed his eyes. There was nothing in his closet he wanted to keep from her, or at the very least, nothing he could keep from her. Fabric rustled as she rummaged through the drawer. She was humming about bombs and bullets and tricks. Weird song. What was the original like? Powder— Jinx didn't have the best sense of rhythm and melody. For all he knew, she was singing gibberish to a made-up tune.
He jerked up when she tugged at his shirt. She immediately raised her hands in surrender. "Pinky promise I'm not making a weird move on you."

Violet Lanes, a boxer and physiology student, and Caitlyn Kiramman, a law student and avid Twitch streamer, are thrown together as university roommates. Vi’s days are filled with intense training and studies, while Caitlyn’s nights are consumed by gaming and streaming, often louder than Vi can tolerate. Frustration builds as Vi struggles to concentrate on her coursework with the constant noise, leading her to confront Caitlyn. But as their worlds collide, the question remains—can two people so different find common ground? Or will their contrasting lifestyles and priorities drive them further apart?

this post will list all my current interests (will update if need be):
- THE EMPYREAN SERIES
I ship Xaden × Violet and I absolutely love Ridoc and Rhiannon but also Aaric Bodhi Garrick Imogen (Liam) Sawyer the whole squad tbh.
Tairn Andarna Sgaeyl are the best family.
- ARCANE
I ship Vi × Caitlyn OF COURSE and Ekko × Jinx and I absolutely love Mel. this series is amazingly animated and I fell in love. Cait and Mel are my women.
- ASOIAF / A DANCE WITH DRAGONS
Rhaenyra is my meow meow. absolutely team black. I dislike Alicent in my core and ship Rhae × Laena. as for my fav dragon well I called my red car Meleys so guess who my fav is. I like Rhae × Daemon don't @ me.
Stark and Martell are my fav houses.
Love Robb (my dumb honorable meow meow) and Sansa. Arya is also up there. fav direwolves are Nymeria and Grey Wind.
- BLACK SAILS
probably my favourite tv show of all time.
- ANDOR
it is my only current big interest regarding star wars. I used to be much more into it especially regarding tcw / rebels / original trio / prequels / swtor. these are still interests but i am not too engaged atm.
mandalorian was a big let down (deeply dislike bo).
- PJO
I read all books (do not remember them too well though) and I like the new tv show. I do ship Percy × Annabeth ofc and generally care about most characters.
- LOTR / RINGS OF POWER
I am mainly interested in anything regarding elves and dwarves and the occasional human. also sauron. I do like LOTR hobbits but u won't catch me caring about TROP hobbits. favs: Galadriel · Elrond · Legolas · Aragorn …
- THE WITCHER
books and games. cannot wait to see Ciri in TW4
I dislike the show deeply except for Joey and Anya.
- CRYSTALS
I collect minerals / crystals both raw and polished. I'd practice some witchcraft if I could but atm I am way too ignorant to. so I only collect bc pretty.
- WRITING
I will not talk about my original characters except for random references. I have not published anything in any fandom for years. that might change idk yet
- ASTROPHYSICS
would have been my 1st choice for a degree but alas. deeply fascinated by anything regarding the universe. I am also passionate about the less visual and more complicated aspects of it (am a nerd ye)
- MUSIC
I mainly listen to rock and "epic music". or anything that helps me write really. my fav band is starset and I began listening to sleep token recently
- HISTORY
used to study this in uni. dropped out in favour of studying to become what I am now (workplace safety / food safety / environmental safety inspector). still love anything about ancient + medieval history.
- EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY
so so interesting. I grew up in a cult so for me it is very important to deconstruct all I was taught and biology is of great help.

So
I'm thinkin about CaitVi right, and all you glorious fanartists that are keeping me alive rn, and I'm thinkin...man, I can believe I haven't seen any other skins in the fanart? Like don't get me wrong, league is a hellish but ultimately cool game, and obviously the show and the game are very different, but uh?
Can I convince any fanartists to play around with the league skins?
Like let's start with Caitlyn—
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's the OG skin, right? And then the Arcane adaptation skin for fun. This is the Caitlyn we know and love.
Now, consider:
Tumblr media
Battle Academia Caitlyn—CaitVi college au? Like tell me this isn't the cutest and prettiest fit you've ever seen?
Tumblr media
Pulsefire Caitlyn—because what if Caitlyn wants revenge for what Jinx did to the council? To Jace and her mother? And what if she wants a weapon powerful enough to combat Jinx's Fishbones? Finds something in Jace's workshop, spruces it up a bit? What if Vi now has to convince her out of her rage?
Tumblr media
Headhunter Caitlyn—because what if she was a villain, instead of Jinx? What if she was let down so many times, suffered too many tragedies and didn't get the help she needed? Villain!Caitlyn au?
Tumblr media
Snow Moon Caitlyn—because what if Caitlyn looked through Jace's notes after he got KO'd, and wanted him and her mother back so desperately that she studied the arcane too deeply—became this mage that could use these runes for so much more than hexgates and those cursed blue stones, not unlike the one that saved Jace and his own mother.
And Vi ?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again, here are the OG skins, with Arcane BEAUTIFULLY adapted from the OG. But...
Tumblr media
Officer Vi—because of course, we're already halfway there. But what if this wasn't Vi's choice? What if they had parted ways, like oil and water, and Vi came back to an ambush? Every enforcer in Piltover would've seen the aftermath. So Vi gets caught—tries to fight her way out but even she's been overwhelmed by the army that's taking over the lanes, and all Caitlyn could do as an acting councilmember was pull enough strings to keep Vi out of prison again. They'll work together, and Caitlyn will keep a personal eye on Vi—and it's just enough to save her from Stillwater.
But they've changed, just like Jinx said. Vi knows it would never work between them, and wearing the uniform of those that ruined her life makes her want to crawl out of her skin. Caitlyn blames her for not getting Jinx under control when they had the chance, and now her family is dead.
Oil and water.
Tumblr media
Debonair Vi—because now, the lanes need to be reigned in, and with both Vander and Silco dead, it's not going to be Pilties who get it done. Over her dead body.
So she becomes someone she hopes Vander would've been proud of—someone who protects and leads those in the undercity. Helps them instead of harming them. Tries to make peace in a ravaged place, like Ekko did. But now, Caitlyn has been sworn into the council, with her mother gone. They're forced to put aside their feelings and their strife in order to hopefully stop a full civil war—but they have very, very different ideas on how to make it happen, and like Caitlyn, there are certain things that Vi will just. Not. Allow.

Reviewed vocab with anki
Tumblr media
Norwegian
I definitely had a bit of a lazy week in terms of studying. I’m still reviewing vocab every day, and I wrote a little for my 100 happy days challenge, but I’ve not really been studying studying, if you know what I mean.
Just 2.5 weeks left until the Bergenstest. I really need to up my game again! I was so motivated at the start, doing practice tests every week and writing tonnes of essays and reviewing hundreds of flashcards every day, but now I’m like... ehh I guess I’ll extend my Anki streak 😅 I suppose the advantage of losing 50% of my italki students (due to sanctions in Russia meaning that have no way to pay) is that I should in theory have more time to study.
Wednesday is my day off, and I think I’m gonna try and do a test in full as authentically as possible to see where I’m at. It’ll either boost my confidence or kick me into action lmao.
Other Languages
It’s been quite fun getting back into Japanese through the 100 happy days challenge. It takes me so long to write 2-3 sentences though, and I’m relying heavily on Google translate 😂 I’m not really pushing myself to try and learn anything new, instead just recapping things on Duolingo and improving my current skill level in the skills I’ve already completed.
I’m also continuing to do Ukrainian on Duolingo. I’m not really looking to learn it seriously right now, but it’s fun learning a language from different family. Actually, it’s the first time I feel like I’ve clicked with a slavic language. I’ve dabbled in Polish and Russian in the past but didn’t get on with them. Ukrainian feels different though. In terms of progress, I feel like I’m really getting to grips with the alphabet and remembering basic words.

A recommended must watch for League players! (Minor-spoilers)
SYNOPSIS
In the game, the lore and character’s story are based on regions. There are a lot of them and this Netflix series for now only covers on the region of Piltover and Zaun. Just a quick information for the none league players, these two regions differ in terms of the nation’s welfare but they are placed in the same are. Piltover is the where the upper middle class people live in a modern society, where they are ruled following the politics of the Councils of Academy. On the other hand, Zaun is the opposite, it is an underground city located beneath Piltover where the people in poverty live together in a shanty-ish town environment, under the protection of the Lanes, the powerhouse group protecting the city from dangers or threats from Piltover. The characters involved are the younger versions from the current roster of League of Legends which are Vi, Jinx (here she is known as Powder), Jayce, Viktor and Heimerdinger. There’s also Caitlyn and Ekko but here they don’t contribute much in the story. As usual I will try not to post spoilers but there will be some section will have minor ones as I need to explain the character’s backstory. So here are my Pros and Cons of the series.
PROS AND CONS
Now let me say this early and tell you guys that, personally for me there are nothing bad about the series I want to point out because I honestly ENJOYED the episodes so far.
Story wise basically there are 2 plot and backstories being shown here which focuses on Vi and Powder’s Arc and Jayce’s Arc. Both arcs have a different agenda and motive but the events occurred are somehow relates with one another. For instance, the first episode is when Vi, Powder and her gang sneak into a Piltover’s room in a  building in which coincidentally is Jayce’s room. Vi and her gang tried to steal whatever is in that room but when Jayce tried to enter, they panicked and locked the door. Vi and her gang tried to run but an explosion happened when Powder not realizing that when she stole a  mysterious blue gem, one of them dropped and created an explosion. As a result, Vi, Powder and her gang tried to run from the enforcers while Jayce has to suffer of his room damaged AND getting arrested as well because apparently he was holding illegal technologies. From these two events, the series has been focusing on Vi and Powder’s survival from the Piltover’s Authority while Jayce needs to convince the Council that what he is researching can give benefits to the nation, which is using Arcane magic, the blue gem that Powder stoled, is also feared due to its dangerous capability. I enjoyed the story as it was pretty much carried by the character's performance as well as the animation and soundtrack.
Character wise, the main characters were the best. Young Vi, is a strong, dependent and tough girl who knows how to fight and take care of her sister Powder, who is the opposite of Vi, where she is innocent but eagers to learn how to survive and be tough like Vi and wants to be helpful her group. To compensate her lack of fighting skill she tries to invent weapons like bombs that explodes nails. They had the best sister relationship going on but not until at some point of the episode when Powder tries to prove she can help, it did not end up well, causing Vi to get really mad at Powder. I gotta tell you now that when you reached at this part of the show, this when things get a bit "bittersweet" I guess? You'll know when you see it.Then we have Jayce, a motivated inventor tried to study how to use magic due to his past that someone used arcane magic to save him and his mother from dying from the artic cold. He's character was fine,  arc wise no real threat but he's decision and actions in trying to prove to the council, especially heimerdinger who feared the dangers of Arcane, may lead to change in Piltover.
Other than that, action, animation and soundtrack wise was AMAZING. The animation along with the visuals is very smooth and clean. It was pleasing to watch during the episode of Jayce’s backstory when a magician used magic to save him and his mother to teleport to another area, the magic circle and sparks was beautiful. You can spot on other visuals throughout the episode. Then the action and fighting scenes part, they used slow motions in some parts to emphasize more on the motion and impact, which was pretty cool. And of course not to forget, the soundtrack used in certain scenes gives better impact based on the events occurred in parts of the plot.
VERDICT
So yeah overall, I definitely recommend this to every League of Legends players to watch this series but I think by now, even if I didn’t tell you this you guys probably went straight into the action by now lol. But if you’re not a League player and you’ve got nothing else to watch. I’d recommend you guys to watch this as well. This one is an easy 10/10 for me heheh.
So for those of you who have already watch it, what are your thoughts? Do you agree with what I’ve explained in this post? Do comment below to share your opinions as I’m also curious to know for your point of view.
See ya’ll in my next post! Cheers!
