I am blocking on sight anyone that puts any fucking discourse over "moral" fiction or whatever the fuck on my dash. I have blocked 5 people in the last month. I don't care if I've been a mutual with you for years, if you engage in this kinda shit, especially on the side of believing that certain fiction shouldn't be allowed, then you are someone I have no respect for.

Unless someone is actually straight up committing a crime (I.E., posting *actual* photographs or videos of REAL LIFE PEOPLE, not fictional/drawn people, REAL PEOPLE, being harmed/sexually abused) I Do Not Care what other people read or write or watch or make. I Do Not Care. I do not trust anyone else's, especially on the piss on the poor website, to be able to determine if a text is "glorifying" something or if they are just uncomfortable with the subject as a whole. You people all suck at media comprehension and I am just flatly not interested. I keep seeing posts of people making good points and then people ripping them apart in the most bad faith possible. "Someone else's media consumption doesn't hurt you" "yes except for when abuse is portrayed as love, or-" no. shut the fuck up. You Missed The Point. You DO NOT KNOW, and you CAN NOT KNOW, why someone else wrote or created something nor can you know why anyone chose to engage with it. Also, sometimes the fucking point of a story is to portray something bad as good, to serve a narrative purpose. that doesn't mean the author thinks it IS.

I Do Not Care about icky feelings. If you can't tell fiction from reality, that's a you problem. Leave us writers/artists the fuck out of it. And if your knee-jerk reaction to this is "oh, you're just making excuses For The Freaks" you are part of the problem and I also have no respect for you.

FWIW, I am an abuse survivor and I find everyone's moral panic over shitty fanfiction stupid at best and upsetting at worst. You people freak out over fictional bad things happening to fictional people, to the point you waste the resources and time of people that actually hunt down predators by sending them loli fanart? You make me feel like you care about fictional people more than you care about the victims. Also, you'll be fucking fine if you hear about weird art or fic happening. Just don't fucking read it yourself. But knowing it exists won't fucking hurt you. You know what does hurt you? ACTUAL ABUSE. Like the kind so many of the creators you demonize go through, bc like I said before, you can't know why people make the art they make and you certainly can't know whether someone's a victim or not. And people shouldn't HAVE to disclose their victim status for you to make sure you're only attacking the "acceptable" people.

Maybe just don't fucking attack people over some fucking fanfiction or fanart. period. go the fuck outside.

You crave ruthless, vindictive justice more than you crave to help people. You are after the high of feeling good about putting people down, the "right" people.

ugh this is so pathetic and embarrassing but. it might be helpful to me if people would tag horror movie content with 'horror' or 'horror movie' or 'horror film' or something. because unfortunately seeing a still image of a horror movie monster or body horror scene, or a gif of the guy from saw swinging a bloody hand down to implicitly cut off his offscreen leg or whatever even though onscreen he's just swinging his arm, or even just an overly zippy horror movie poster or overly descriptive sentence about the content of a horror movie, does in fact often cause me to get so stressed out and compulsively miserable that i cry

[ETA: sufficiently non-explicit/non-tone-preserving joke content, like the Thursday the 12th meme that has a picture of jason in the store, is fine. my line is weird and hard to articulate but "does this preserve the tone of the horror movie or is it ridiculous/an obvious joke" is a reasonable way to delineate things i might benefit from tagging vs things that won't bother me.

also like. i made it sound very bad but it's not actually such a huge deal for things that aren't "this is literally a gif of a horror movie" so if you would like to make the question you ask yourself "is this literally a gif of a horror movie" you will already be solving most of my problems]

unpopular opinion but people who insist inside cats are the only ethical way to have a cat don’t seem to realise how un-cat-like a lot of their behaviour is. they’re bored shitless and understimulated all the time and confined to a territory that’s far too small for them and it fucking shows.

i literally just saw a post about a cat following mountain climbers with a reblog pointing out how far cats roam with the implication that that’s why outdoor cat owners are wrong for letting them out and it’s like… take that thought just a little bit further, please. if that was a zoo, most of you all would be alleging animal abuse and saying how it needs a bigger enclosure than what the zoo is providing. it’s the same principle. normal cats aren’t constantly trying to make a break for it, they won’t follow you around or bother you constantly or sniff every little thing because they’re desperate for any stimulation they can possibly get, etc.

most cats are far less trainable than you think because they’re not going out of their mind and can just go and choose to be somewhere else, do something else (or nothing else), and when you stop interacting with an inside cat and rewarding them for doing the things you want them to, they go back to being shut in a tiny little house again where everything is the same and with nothing new or engaging to occupy them.

if you have an extremely engaged inside cat that shows interest in everything you ever offer them, it’s because they’re bored. most cats are disinterested by default. there is not enough “here sniff this spoons” in the world that can fully make up for the enrichment of the outside.

if you have an inside cat i’m not saying you’re wrong, i get it, it totally depends on the cat itself and your location and all that jazz, and i personally wouldn’t have an outside cat in a city center either (i left my must-be-outside cat with my parents when I moved to near a busy road). but if you act like you’re better than other cat owners for it when you are literally not providing a roaming range big enough to meet their psychological needs… blocked.

one of the only things that annoys me more than character hate in the character tag is spam tagging posts that have nothing to do with certain characters. like if i wanna go through my blorbo’s tag and i see a bunch of shit that had nothing to even do with them that just makes me pissed off at the person spamming the tags with said character. if that makes sense. i wish there was a button to report that shit because it’s annoying ssf like it doesn’t make me wanna click your content it makes me wanna block your ass. like don’t tag a post with a character or fandom when that post has absolutely nothing to do with said character or fandom. maybe i’m petty. idc tho.

weird thing about the inhumans is that theyre obscure enough to not really have an audience and also havent really appeared *that* much throughout their entire 60 year existence. however they also well known enough that the mcu took a crack at it and permanently affected their comics and their old roles and sectors are gone to make room for the New MCU Versions. truly such a thing is practically unheard of.
