Reading over your Savanaclaw clothing rant, and I don't know how I missed all the details you pointed out, especially about the sleeves.

I was mulling over why Ruggie has sleeves but literally everyone else doesn't, and then it hit me.... Could it be because Leona altered his uniform so that he could fully show off that lion bicep tattoo? It seems like he totally would, in a show of dominance and all that lolol. And then the mobs thought it was cool too so they followed suit. Djdnzjdjjs I could definitely see Crowley pitching a fit about the cut sleeves and then Leona would grumble, "Save your squawkin', Headmage. All the uniforms are uniform now ain't they?"

Also for the boob window thing, for an in universe theory, I think it might be to show off his jewelry? Some very quick and possibly inaccurate armchair googling shows that jewelry in Africa or Sunset Savanna I guess?? Tends to be intricate and detailed, and can indicate power, wealth, or status. I wouldn't be surprised that Leona likes a subtle way of showing off his status with his traditional accessories.

You know what, that’s actually a plausible theory 😭 If I recall correctly, Leona became dorm leader in his second year at school. At that time, Ruggie would have enrolled as a first year. Once Leona came into power, he’d have the privilege of being able to alter his dorm uniform. He could remove the sleeve just to show off his tattoo and assert his dominance as the proverbial “leader of the pack.” (Side note: for the longest time, I thought the tattoo was temporary or just makeup… like the Heartslabyul card suits on their faces 💦) However, Leona would still have the dorm uniforms with sleeves from his first year, which he could have passed onto Ruggie (since it is canon that he gives Ruggie his hand-me-down clothes). And the Savanaclaw mobs are such diehard Leona stans that they’d probably go, “What, the boss is wearing his uniform like that? Cool!! Let’s do it too!” and follow his fashion statement… This might also explain why Rook appears to have (ripped off) sleeves on his Savanaclaw uniform, as he was in that dorm as a first year. He is the same year as Leona, so they would have both had the sleeves still on. This would also explain why Jack, the straight-laced first year, seems to have his uniform tailored when he enrolled. At that time, the common Savanaclaw dorm uniforms would have already been altered to have no sleeves in order to follow the leader.

BabcsqdAdSEracqvw Why can I totally see that unfolding between Crowley and Leona 😭 Crowley lamenting that it’s only supposed to be the dorm leader’s uniform that differs, so why’s it suddenly the entire dorm’s uniforms have been altered? Have they no respect for tradition??? And Leona would definitely twist the situation to turn it around on Crowley, riding on the fact that the uniforms are technically still “uniform” now.

Mmm, I guess that reasoning could make sense since Leona does have that really gaudy, chunky gold necklace, though I don’t think he’s necessarily doing it out of a sense of tradition. Leona is the type of person that usually gets annoyed with tradition and wants to make practical changes. (For example, he wants to remove the feathers from his staff but complains he would get scolded for it since the feathers represent the King of Beasts’ hornbill advisor.) However, I do believe he’s arrogant enough to want to show off his status as dorm leader and I guess being more decked out in jewelry + having a more open shirt could call attention to that. But SUBTLE??? 💀 Maybe it feels subtle in-universe but with how the devs constantly flaunt his boobs, it certainly doesn’t feel that way irl, lmao 😂 Bro’s constantly got shots of his hakuna matatas cleavage, even in other characters’ cards (*stares at Jack’s birthday boy groovy*).

He’s so pathetic and desperate to assert himself as Top Dog 🙄 Gross 💀 COVER UP, SLUT… NO ONE NEEDS TO SEE THAT…

Anyways, Part 1: Lasko and Dear

Dear loves thrifting but they didn’t want to take Lasko with them at first in case he found something they wanted, before they did. Now they borrow each others clothes so it wouldn’t matter anyway.

When they eventually took him he spent the entire time trying to find things they liked.

Dear has two toned hair

Lasko has never stopped thinking that dear is the coolest person to ever walk the earth, ever.

Sometimes dear wears colour contacts for fun

Both of them have a pocket watch on a chain

For their first anniversary Dear bought Lasko a locket, with a picture of the entire Damn Squad in it.

He added a photo of them to the other side

Dear has pet rats, they take such good care of them and their cage is huge

Lasko was slightly weary at first but he warmed up to them pretty well

Dear is very good at fixing things.

One of the first times they went to his apartment, his Ac broke. Dear just calmly listened to his apologetic rant about it before asking where the toolbox was.

Dear has tattoos behind their ears

Lasko is very good at saving but he’s not tight and always tries to pay for the whole table.

Dear has acne scars and they do little skincare nights together but Lasko thinks they’re HOT AS FUCK

Redacted thoughts

Spoilers if you haven’t listened to the new Hush/Avior/Starlight vid

I’ve been thinking about this one for a while actually, because there was this thought that was bugging me, and I only just straightened it out.

The whole thing has a lot of similarities to the birth of Athena.

I am an avid fan of Greek mythology (as if you couldn’t somehow already tell) and I am wholeheartedly embracing the opportunity to rant.

First of all, while you have the whole Hush-splitting-from-Avior thing, we need to talk about how he got there in the first place. The Sovereigns deemed in necessary and appropriate for the good of the world and the order that has been established. Athena’s mother, Metis, a nymph, was pregnant with Zeus’ child - one that was prophesied be smarter than him, and he feared it would overthrow him and disrupt the order he had established. See it?

Then you have his actual “birth” situation. We know that Avior was in severe pain before Hush split from him, and that none of his fellow daemons could help. In the mythos, Zeus came down with a splitting headache that none of the gods knew how to cure. Hush pulls away from Avior in a final moment of agony and Zeus literally bashed his own head in to relive the pressure (or Hephaestus split his head open with an axe at Zeus’ request, but the premise is still the same).

Hush springs out fully formed, completely furnished with all the tools (the Sovereigns think) he will need. Athena comes out of Zeus’ brain fully formed and wearing a full set of armour. 

Athena is a master of strategy and calculating the odds. Hush relies solely on the numbers, calculating which route is the most efficient / aligning with his cause.

She experiences flights of anger and passion despite her stoic nature, such as with Arachne; Hush is now struggling to grasp the depth of his newfound emotions, especially with Doc.

She is a goddess of virginity, staying “pure” and some might even say “innocent” (🤮 but stay with me). Hush is… inexperienced in the fields of romance and emotion.

She is the goddess of wisdom and war strategy above all. Hush is a weapon, crafted by the Sovereigns, capable of power no one can match.

Athena is loyal to her father, loyal to the other gods. She prevents the collapse of the Age of the Gods this way, averting a major disaster.

Hush is loyal to his creators, loyal to the Sovereigns. Will it be enough though?

I’m well aware Eric probs didn’t think of all this / do it on purpose, but I couldn’t help myself :)

Anyway I love the Redacedverse. 10/10 would recommend.

While listening to Redacted’s Baking Cookies with Bakedere Daemon Boy, I just keep imagining a few things.

1. Gavin is in bed next to them. He sensed someone come into their room, but relaxed when he realized it was Caelum and tried to go back to sleep with his back to FL and Caelum.

2. While Caelum is trying to wake up FL, they whined “Gaaaaaviiiiin, help!” but he ignored their pleas with a grin on his face.

3. Once Caelum started ranting about “hot of the press,” FL could feel Gavin’s silent laughter shaking the bed.

4. FL tried to get Gavin up with them, but he just laugh and said, “I love the kid, but don’t let him burn down the kitchen. Good luck Freelancer.”

5. FL’s heart burst a little bit when Caelum asked if he did good.

6. I don’t know if he has a canon height, but in my head FL is 5”7 and Caelum comes up to their chest. When they hug FL likes to rest their head on his.

7. I’m sure Daemons don’t need them, but I keep seeing Caelum with glasses.

8. While they are baking, Gavin is laying in bed kicking his feet and laughing throughout most of the time. Especially when Caelum called vanilla extract icky.

9. Gavin came into the kitchen the second the cookies were finished. “Don’t mind me just gonna grab… ow!” FL smacks his hand. “First cookies go to the bakers.” They said smuggly and handed one to Caelum. Gavin crossed his arms and fake pouted, “Mean.” He said in a low tone. But then Caelum took a bite and his face lit up and he gave a little squeal of excitement at how good they were and Gavin couldn’t help but laugh!

10. FL put half a cookie in their mouth with part of it hanging out and Gavin jumped over and ate the part hanging from their lips (surprising FL) giving them cookie crumb kisses. Caelum was equally confused, sad that part of FL cookie was eaten, and grossed out by their kiss.

Reason number one : an enormous canon facts dilemma

If there is some information about characters, and it mentioned anywhere, but not in a game — i have all my rights to ingnore all "silly random canon facts" from Facebook blogs, streams on youtube, etc. People may don't even have a clue about existence of that stream. That's BAD character development, and y'all ready to talk about it. I had headcanon that quiz killer is aroace evil spirit of darknes with developed psychopathy, who uses corpses as vessels for like 3 years and i won't change my mind.

P.S. Also i hate the way Jackbox devs do character writing if it even was planned. Some of them are just a designs without any personality, especially new ones. All that facts about god-blessed hosts with any backstory that hidden in voicelines are literally random. You can play YDKJ Full Stream and never get "Escape the Simulation" episode because IT IS RANDOM. All fanbase need "lore-accurate archive™" with all voicelines, subtitles and sources. But im getting off-topic and may post about it later.

Reason number two : daddy issues

That fact and other disgusting things happened with character can be a background for a childhood trauma, i cant disagree with that. But the way people in fandom treating that same fact as excuse to say "aww he is killing ppl because of it, so let's ignore the fact he is doing REAL CRIMES and sugarcoat it by comparing it with Pyro's POV from TF2 because he is so silly little meow meow". Nah-uh. Its a reason for a trauma development, but not a reason to justify all his actions.

I wonder how would you guys react if murdering and kidnapping would be simply replaced by sexual harassment or even more gross.

And there may be same people are judging other characters because of gags about violence, but simp over a serial killer. We all know that famous question section where Cookie cut a head of his assistant in half, but most of people believe it was a real thing, despite lack of demonstration. It all could be just part of scenario with audio, played by a soundpad. In Trivia Murder Party we always saw...how do i say ehh...killing process, i dunno. Think about it.

Reason number three : ship dynamics

That thing always contain "kidnapper/victim" + Stockholm syndrome in 90% of cases. If you unironically ship that sheet of peace with any host, who was kidnapped in TMP 1/2 or any dolls, using all that "he quit killing people for his beloved because of love at first sight"/"i can fix him"/"from victim to happy marriage" tropes or any lovey dovey mushy UWU tropes, thinking its cute, healthy and want same kind of bf - congratulations, you are crime/abuse-romanticizing freako who need to touch some grass 🎉🎉🎉

Shipping characters that never met is weird. I mean it has a ponetial, but not if people use tropes i already wrote about earlier.

Still, in TMP2 there is lots of details that showing IS LITERALLY WANTED. Would any person date a serial killer and put their life in danger by harboring a criminal, who can get rid of you easily because you automatically becoming a witness? Im afraid not.

Same thing to selfshippers. No, you wont fix a mentally ill person you never met in IRL with one hug or kiss. If you need to talk about problems - discuss it with people you can trust or a specialist.

I go by any pronouns, including any neos you think might suit my vibe! (that is, only with neo’s that are respectful, ie no slurs/otherwise offensive terms). I much prefer gender-neutral terms along with they/them, but I don’t get dysphoric with masc-leaning stuff. The featured tags have been edited to feature my most commonly posted about things, and they’re a great way to filter through my blog. I reblog ALOT(especially using the queue, which I choose to not tag), so if you’re interested solely in my original posts I have just the tag for you: Asher’s Ramblings . With one small problem unfortunately. Annoying part being you have to manually type asher’s ramblings into my blog’s search bar WITH a space at the end for most posts to show(I think it’s because at a point I just started to copy and paste the tag instead of manually typing it). Otherwise the featured tags should work fine.

I have additionally created side blogs to reblog my writing ( @jestersrambles ) , dress to impress outfits ( @sillyjesterplaysroblox ) and otherkin posts/reblogs ( @shiftingvoid ) if you’re here from seeing posts related to those and don’t want your dash cluttered with the other stuff I reblog/post about. Keep in mind these sideblogs are updated irregularly/later than this blog so they are a lesser option to the main blog. Alas the choice is up to you. I will not be making fandom-specific blogs as I mostly reblog about those anyway and the purpose of the sideblogs was to allow people to more easily follow for content created BY me. So yea

Sometimes when you interact with someone, you have an image of them in your head. For a lot of people, that is influenced by their profile picture. And if you wish to see me as a Garfield dressed up in yellow and red clown attire that is completely fine! But!!! If you were curious as to what my internet sona looked like, then the closest I think I could get would be my Roblox avatar:

But alas, that is, as well as my current mortal human body, a mere suit, a shell, that contains my true self. Yupp here is where you get an exact description of my Alterhuman/Otherkin identity yippie!!!

The main “kin” identities I identify with are “Voidkin” and “Shapeshifterkin”. I am like the physical/metaphysical embodiment of, well, space, I guess? That is my “home”, anyway. The void is my home. Where I come from. But sometimes I’m also part of it. Not to get too spiritual with it but I do believe in reincarnation in my own way, and I believe that being part of the “void”, or just general “energy” floating around there is the in-between in which my soul resides in between lifetimes.

I think I’ve lived many a lifetimes which have shaped the main forms I take when I’m more, well, shaped. Most of the time the shape I take is mostly humanoid, with various animal/otherwise features at different times, such is the way of being a shapeshifter. I’m vanta-black in colour, except for the two glowing circles that are my eyes. They’re not always visible/open, but a lot of the time are. Also occasionally my teeth/fangs will highlight in a similar way. Oftentimes as of recent I’ve been covered in fur/my silhouette is “fuzzy” on the edges, but there are times when I feel more cool, smooth. The best way I could describe it is the texture of phone/computer screen. That and I’m semi-corporeal. So. Not entirely tangible. I take a liking to forests and dark spooky hallways/general areas, I think at some points I might’ve been something similar to a cryptid. Generally just like to become one with the darkness I occupy, too. Malleable is my shape is all I want to say.

Rarely, but it does happen, I experience more animalistic shifts(in the shapeshifter way, btw, since I know “shifts” is something used by otherkin identities in a different context). The forms I take, then, are most often either feline or canidae in nature. I’ve considered moth and squirrel before but I’m not sure whether I just share some traits/behaviours or whether I have had moments where I was completely shaped like that.

Well, I guess coming to an end, it would be worth to do a somewhat “DNI” list or whatever people do in that vein, if we’re speaking of interaction. A good rule of thumb would be that, if you don’t fw the things I am or the things I enjoy, probably move along. You’ll probably get a block from me if you’re Homophobic, Transphobic, Racist, Nazi, just generally if you’re a shitty human being and if I don’t block you because I don’t know of these views you hold, I would appreciate if you stay away from me thanks. I don’t enjoy partaking in discourse most of the time, especially if I’m not in a place to speak on the matter(ie not affected by it personally).

Though, I guess since this is tumblr, I guess I should specify my attitude towards shipping. I personally don’t like the terms pro/anti because they’re very reductive and people define them in different ways anyway. I’d say I have like 3 tiers of attitude towards ships:

Tier 1(A-okay with it, no problems here)-basically any ships considered completely unproblematic and healthy. I guess the only one some may disagree with being healthy that I put in this category is (STRICTLY) romantic minor x minor pairings. Because don’t act like minors don’t get into relationships/have crushes. If you make it weird/sexual then that’s on you and you’re weird.

Tier 2-ships where the relationship between the two characters may be seen as toxic or unhealthy. This includes stuff like Yanderes, bully x victim, codependency, non-age related power imbalances, stuff like that. With these, I do ship them, but in the way that I like to see these dynamics explored and written about/depicted. If you romanticise/endorse these then I am not okay with you and if I find out you do this I will likely block you at my own discretion. I just like to see them purely for the angst+the representation.

Tier 3- what you’re likely thinking of. Incest, anything involving minors x adult, SA victim x abuser, sexualisation of minor x minor pairings(yes, even if you age them up). I don’t want to see it. I will likely view you with disgust if I see you endorsing/posting it. I want to clarify I am against witch-hunting and harassing individuals who do this, and that I know some do this as a trauma response. I am not in a place to tell someone how to process their trauma. If I may lay down some personal preferences I would say my page is okay for anyone aged 13 and up; just make sure to have the tag “nsfw” blocked since I tag some of my more suggestive posts/jokes that way. As for more personal interaction like DMs or being something akin to “friends”(I don’t particularly like getting close to anyone let alone calling them a friend because of my trust issues, calling someone a friend makes it official and that scares me) I would personally prefer if you were at-least 16, 15 if we’re really pushing it but then again it really depends on how emotionally mature you are on whether we would be able to find common ground.

I feel like I need to put my stance out here on this topic because I’ve received a piece of backlash from someone not too thrilled that I called out that Caelum non-con ship piece. I will not give the name, I will not give the user, and I DO NOT condone harassing/contacting/reaching out to this person. I already have this person blocked. But with this I think I need to make one thing very clear.

I do not condone pro-ship material/ pro-ship defense on my page. Never have. Never will. Especially when it includes minor characters paired with adults… that is rape and I do not like to sugarcoat that shit. That is what that is plain and simple and if you do not think so show yourself off my page.

Second: I do not care that the characters in redacted are that… characters. Because Caelum is canonized to be a minor like character and from his behaviors he is a young boy. I do not ship Caelum with anyone especially in a sexual sense and once again if you do the door is right over there and do not interact with my posts. I do not condone that behavior and would not like it on my feed.

I’m a pretty chill and understanding person but one thing I will not be chill and understanding about is pro-shipping minors with adults no matter the context, my page is not the place for that, I know pages that are accepting of that behavior mine has not and will never be one of those places.

Here's my original design sheet for Wilbur as per @feather-sapace 's request! As I said last time, I made these a few years ago, so give my old art a bit of grace! There's not super a lot to go off of here, since a lot of it has been redacted, but let's get into it! (And these are for my Roleshuffle AU comic, if you're new!)

I don't really do a lot of out-there things with my Wilbur design. The biggest thing I do is give him a tiny little man-bun, armor, and wings. I think probably the biggest debated thing about any Wilbur design (AU or not) is whether or not to give him wings. He's canonically Phil's son, so hypothetically he should have them... but real-life Wilbur always shut down this idea (to my knowledge). But, well, sucks to suck, because I can do whatever I want with your character and if I think your ideas are bad I'll change them :) (Do NOT get me started on Utah and his stupid *insert pompous British accent here* "Oh, it's a metaphor for death actually" NO absolutely not, cheap character ending, how dare you do this to the dsmp character I love to hate. Make that man LIVE with the "trickster always gets away" ending he DESERVES.)

Aaaaaanyways, rants aside, I gave him wings. I really wanted to accentuate the lighter sides of Wilbur, and really play on that arrogance mixed with incompetence in my version. The wings are not only a cool design feature that makes him unique, but they also help add to the sort of clumsiness I wanted to add to the character. I mean, sure, Wilbur can fly, but that doesn't mean he's good at it. c!Wilbur does and says a lot of silly things, but most of them are taken very seriously because of how much the people around him are star-struck with him. So, when making his Roleshuffle AU character, I asked myself, "Would people take him seriously if they didn't already look up to him?" And the answer I found was no. This presents a much lighter version of Wilbur: he's not power hungry, because he has no power to get hooked on in the first place. His want of people looking up to him doesn't turn into full-blown, Long-John Silver levels of manipulation, because people don't look up to him. So, instead of him being power hungry, he's just a little arrogant, and instead of him being manipulative, he's just a silly/theatrical.

One of Wilbur's flaws that I did keep--and I imagine will get worse as my Roleshuffle comic goes on--is his insecurity. That matches really well with what all happens to c!Sapnap, so I'm really excited to explore that dynamic, particularly between him and Foolish.

And I hear you ask, "Why give him a little man-bun?" Well, I wanted it to be clear--especially for that first arc--that he's (attempting) to play the part of the warrior. The more average, shorter Wilbur haircut he normally has just didn't give off that vibe for me. So, I tried to think of hairstyles that he would choose to still have that certain flair that he would want, but also not completely unrealistic for someone playing the part of the warrior. I landed on the man-bun.

Subject 1660 is exactly what we've been waiting for. A promising young man with an active mind and body, someone with not only talent but a genuine love for his craft. Though officially documented information on his status pre-Playcare, outside of standard medical records, is lacking, interviews conducted with previous acquaintances were all consistent.

'Extremely high-energy, playful, and competitive to a fault,' to quote a previous coach, Subject 1660 has been confirmed to be involved in soccer, track, and the Pioneer Scouts program until very recently. Big dreams, this kid: a Mrs... hmm, ahem, sorry, a Mrs. Rivers even told of dreams to be an Olympian someday! Quite a lofty goal, for someone not even in the double digits yet.

Subject's psychological health has declined considerably since the accident. Very low mood, outbursts of anger, declarations of self-loathing, virtually no appetite, and an unwillingness to even attempt to get out of bed with the use of a walker.

I have begun the introductory phase. Through carefully constructured conversation over the next several weeks, I will carefully guide Subject's thoughts as with previous moderately-successful case 1428. His body is already in a weakened state of recovery, he cannot be operated on now, but I do think I can have him ready and perhaps even eager for the procedure by the time he is ready.

Without hope, the brain is highly impressionable, especially an undeveloped one shortly after a traumatic experience. Here is one with serious dreams of becoming the peak of our species, ripped through a windshield at 120 miles an hour, and watched the light leave two other people's eyes before having half of it's limbs amputated. It's a miracle that it's undamaged, and with proper sculpting could be better than we ever dreamed: forget obedience, by the time I'm done with it, it'll be singing our praises inside it's new body! General Behavior: Tense body language, always on alert, aware of their surroundings, always looking for the exit. Never sit or stand with their back to an open door. They lose themself in the moment and sometimes forget about their injuries and need for healing. Other companions find them a bit scary in the battlefield.

Dialogue/Speaking

Voice: In-game, Erika Ishii (American femme voice) with the low pitch. In reality, very similar pitch and intonation, with a soft Antivan (Italian) accent, but not a strong one. Alana has worked on making their voice neutral to better blend in for undercover work. They have a tendency to be loud when they're having fun or getting angry, but drop to a husky whisper in romantic or emotional situations.

General: Hiding emotions behind sarcastic jokes and deflecting with humour. Takes a long time to get them to open up and trust you with genuine emotion. Alana talks a lot, mostly to fill the silence and distract from whatever situation they're currently facing.

With Friends: More relaxed, laid-back tonality. Still joking, but less sharp and acerbic. Will ask about your interests and remember them for later, to show friendship with gifts or thoughtful comments.

With Romantic Interests: Low, seductive tone, slower speaking, suggestive comments but overall less joking. Giver of compliments, but not a good receiver of them.

Anger: All the time. Seriously, Alana's got rage. It's usually kept down, and comes out as snappy comments, ice-cold insults, and an unusual calm in stressful situations that gets mistaken for confident leadership. When Alana really goes for it, they will rant and rave in Antivan and gesture wildly. Or just punch someone.

Cursing: Alana can swear in about half a dozen languages, and they make sure to use that knowledge to pepper a conversation with colourful terminology.

Combat: They enjoy distracting the enemy with insults, especially if they can do so in their own language just to freak them out more. Yep, Antaam, Alana knows what that thing you just said meant, and hey - right back at you!

Wait. Hold on. Wait. Wait hold on.

Ok, so here's the thing: For a while now I've already had a suspicion that Hong Lu's deal is like, way more important than he lets on.

This might sound like a conspiracy Game Theory Matpat rant, but here me out.

First of all, Hong Lu has this weird tendency to break patterns in much less obvious ways than the other suspicious Sinners, to the point it's been driving me insane?

Like.

Okay.

First.

Remember those promo PVs of each Sinner? And how each of them ended on a glimpse of their trauma and All of them either directly referenced a potentially traumatic event or had the Sinner sound distraught? Except for Hong Lu, who doesn't sound in any way distressed like the others did, and then after the game logo is revealed he asks if something he said was weird.

Like, sure, it does make sense for him to say that in context of what he says during that video, but isn't it so fucking weird that the one Sinner with a section in his promo that seems slightly off is also the one who asks if anything he said during that section was weird?

Second.

You know those intro segments during the prologue, that are also on the official limbuscompany.com website? The ones that offer managerial instructions for each Sinner?

Pay close attention to those. For every Sinner, these instructions specify how to deal with that specific Sinner's eccentricities.

Don't show Gregor your disgust. Wait for Rodya's bad mood to pass. Give Sinclair positive reinforcement. Wait patiently for Yi Sang to finish thinking. Look Ishmael's way for sound advice, but don't break her trust. Understand Heathcliff is simple-minded and contact HR if he causes problems. Play along with Don's Fixer act. Don't make Ryoshu breed personal resentment towards you. Give clear and concise commands to Meursault. Give Outis short replies of agreement but keep an eye on her. Simply nod and get it over with when conversing with Faust.

...But then there's Hong Lu's. Which says nothing how to deal with his eccentricities, but rather to not let Other Sinners get physical with him over them. It's not about keeping him in line, it's about keeping other people's reactions to him in line.

I want to note this especially because several other Sinners break patterns in their introductions as well. Meursault's is one sentence. Ryoshu and Outis have a warning. Don Quixote's particulars include a [REDACTED] on the website. Faust's directly asks the manager to fuck around and find out. However, the way Hong Lu's intro instructions break the pattern is the most subtle out of all of them, to the point I genuinely did not realize that was the case until I had read all of them over multiple times.

Third.

Hong Lu's Base E.G.O animation. If you watch all of the Base E.G.O animations in a row, you'll notice that for all of them, the Sinners start already in frame... Except for Hong Lu, who visibly jumps into the frame from off-screen.

Now, you could argue that, technically, Don runs into her animation from off-screen as well, however I think there is a bit of a difference here. Don's animation is too quick to see her actually run in. We see she's not there for maybe a frame, before she pops with an animation that implies she had just run in and needs to break her momentum. This is unlike Hong Lu's, whom we Actively See descend from Off-Screen.

Now, I know what some of you may be thinking.

That I am coping. That these are coincidences. That I'm looking too deeply into things.

However. Here's a connection that I just recently realized, that has been Fucking Me Up.

Mild spoilers for Canto IV and like the first two chapters or so of Dream of the Red Chamber, if anyone cares.

You know how Limbus Company has this... fixation on stars? There's the whole thing with Dante following a star, stars granting wishes, people turning into weird beings from wishing to be stars, and there's this general connection to the sky and space because of Demian also doubling as a reference to The Little Prince.

And then something weird hit me.

See, Dream of the Red Chamber starts with a bit of a backstory to the jade that would later be reincarnated into Bao-yu. You see, it was one of the many stones used by a godess to create the sky. However, this one specific jadestone ended up being the only one not used in that creation, which then led to it feeling horrible about itself, which then led to a monk and a taoist deciding to have that stone reincarnate as a human and live through a human life, kickstarting the rest of the novel.

I'm like, heavily simplifying this, but that's the gist of how that whole thing starts.

Which. Made me think. A jadestone that was part of the ones meant to build the sky, but ended up being left unused. The sky. Stars. Hong Lu being seemingly named after the jade rather than Bao-yu directly.

Holy shit there's no way they won't reference this in some way, right? Right?

So, now imagine me, at my fucking wit's end, having the biggest crackpot theory brewing in my mind.
