Earlier this year, and sequel of sorts to the Caretaker's Guide to Fablehaven was announced on booksellers' websites, available for preorder- The Adventurer's Guide to Dragonwatch. The teased description is as follows:
Millions of Fablehaven fans will be eager to examine this illustrated field guide and learn what dragon slayers and other members of Dragonwatch have known for centuries. Many adventurers risked their lives gathering the information found within this one-of-a-kind book—a compendium of the most dangerous mythical and magical creatures around the world, including invaluable illustrations that reveal for the first time what these creatures actually look like. You will learn secrets of the magical realms, including the history of the five great monarchs: The Underking, the Fairy Queen, the Demon King, the Giant Queen, and the Dragon King. In addition, you will learn about the priceless stone called the Ethergem that powered the five crowns of the monarchs. By the end of the book, you will know more about dragons and giants (and a host of other mythical creatures) than your average dungeon master. Make yourself familiar with an invaluable study of magical items and artifacts, including the five legendary swords, never before revealed in any other publication known to humankind. This information alone is worth all the gold in your pockets. In addition, you will find a personal letter from the world’s greatest adventurer, Patton Burgess. Take heed of what he has to say, and you may live to the ripe age of sixteen. You are now part of a consortium of wizards, enchantresses, dragon slayers, and others who risked everything to free the world from the tyrannical rule of dragons. A word to the wise: If you are being hunted by a dragon, no stronghold or castle will hide you for long. The best way to survive a dragon is not defense, it is offense. Use the information inside this book and go forth and hunt!
Now, as of yesterday, new previews of the artwork inside have been posted on Brandon Mull's Instagram
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The book is to be released in October.
Personal comments: Brandon Mull has been hinting at plans for a prequel (or sequel, knowing he had the Chronometer) series about Patton Burgess. First in the end of RotDS he says he might do it if it strikes his fancy, and he also confirmed that he's writing a Newel and Doren one-shot to be released spring 2025, with the first novel in a different series dropping in autumn of that year. The Caretaker's Guide springboarded Dragonwatch, so it's possible this will do the same for a Patton-centred series, considering the letter from Patton advertised as being a part of the guide that parallels the letter announcement in the Caretaker's Guide.

also the wizenstone/ethergem stuff in dragonwatch is literally The Same Plot as the dreamstone in carnival quest. it's the Exact Same Bullshit. oh no one can really own it you say. oh it's offered as a prize in a seemingly unwinnable contest by a swindling trickster you say. oh his power is actually far weaker than you think and it's tied to the unownable magical artifact of unmatched power you say. man what a coinkydink.

I personally think the third series would be even more fanfic like than than dragonwatch (I'm one of those people who didn't enjoy it) but i think dragonwatch should have been two series, one about the dragon war, and the second one about the ethergem (or however it was called)
We would have more time to expand on all arcs and relationships, and it would just be overall better tbh
Seth: I am so cool. I am an absolute Chad. I am the epitome of coolness and awesomeness— Eve: Hi. Seth: *melts down in a flustered heap of softness*

Monero, privacy by default.
Originally Monero was started as BitMonero; back on April 9th, 2014. The idea around BitMonero was proposed by a unknown person, who went by the moniker ‘Nicolas van Saberhagen’. BitMonero was founded and originally coded by a Bitcointalk user ‘thankful_for_today. Eventually the community ended up forking BitMonero, and changing the name in the process to […]

Like please understand the steps of the Fairy Queen causing evil
She overthrows the previous fairy queen (it definitely wasn't a willing pass of power, Risenmay makes that clear)
This destabilizes the fairies, weakening them as a whole
The pair Nagi Luna and Graulus took advantage of this weakness to do the whole ethergem stuff
This destabilizes the ruling species, giving them their own "authority"
This includes the demons, who took the crown to mean they were of equal status to the Fairies
They "kill" (capture) the fairy king
This causes all male fairies to turn to imps/die, and allows fallen fairies to exist, putting "corruption" into their species
The fairy species is further weakened
Demons have greater power, as do the other species, conflict ensues
War breaks out, demons locked up, lives lost, magical species forced into preserves
People continue to weaken over time as they grow complacent due to the new peace, while the fairies never properly recover from the wars and the loss of the guys
Continued conflicts over time fallen, states that didn't exist before, no proper figure trying to help the world as the fairy queen chooses to stay separate
Fablehaven happens and all the stuff hidden by the peace comes up
Tada

that scene in rotds where the sphinx was trying to manipulate the pieces of the ethergem away from seth while seth was delirious....so fucked up but so so so so so so good. seth is delirious to the point where i'm sure from an outside perspective when he drew vasilis and started telling the sphinx to get back he sounded DERANGED. when he threatened to give the sphinx a taste of forever with the unforgiving blade.....that's my BOY

My answers to the reading questions.
1. Seth wielded two swords throughout much of the book. What are the pros and cons of each weapon? If you had the chance to battle using either Vasilis or the Unforgiving Blade, which would you choose? Why?
The pros of Vasilis is it gives him a lot of strength, makes him braver, inspires fear in his enemies, and basically fights for him. The cons are that he could become obsessed like Morisant, the more he uses it the weaker he becomes without it, and he could learn to rely on it too much. The pros for the unforgivable blade is he is feared by his enemies. The cons is that he gets pulled into a trance. I would choose Vasilis because it fights for you.
2. Calvin wanted to break the nipsie curse since book one of Dragonwatch. In what ways did Seth help Calvin succeed? In what ways did Calvin help Seth? Could one have succeeded without the other? Explain.
Seth helped Calvin by retrieving the pieces of the Ethergem and restoring it, something Calvin could not have done alone. Calvin was a really good scout and good at getting information, it would have been so much harder for Seth without him.
3. Five monarchs ruled the magical world when this series began. Which two crowns remain at the end? How might this new situation change the balance of power in the magical world?
The Fairy Crown and the Under Crown were the original crowns, so I think balance would be restored. All is what once was. The other species probably fought way more over the crowns than the fairies and the undead did. So more peace as well.
4. Bracken chose to become mortal at the end of the story in part so he could be closer to Kendra. What other reasons did he have for making that choice? Do you agree with his decision? Why or why not?
Because Brandy’s a chicken and won’t make Kendra and Seth eternals. But another reason could be he didn’t want to be part of a kingdom that is okay with literal torture, by putting Ronodin in the demon prison, mostly because of a mistake he made out of love. So I in part agree with his decision, but I think Kendra and Seth would make badass eternals so I’m salty.
5. If you could visit the Source, would you drink from it, bathe in it, or just look at it? Explain why.
I’d bathe in it, I’d like to be healthy and possibly gain cool powers, thank you. Would not want to be immortal though, who would?
6. Kendra spent much of this series away from her brother. In what ways did their time apart allow her to grow? In what ways could Seth have aided her? In what ways might he have made her job harder?
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HE’S ACTING LIKE THERE WAS CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT LMAOOOO. Kendra also did nothing of importance, Seth did all of it.
7. Do you think Virgil was ever a true friend to Seth or Kendra? Why or why not? What were his reasons for the final choice he made? How do you think he felt about the way things turned out?
I think he was pretty cool at first, then he became a little bitch when Humbuggle waddled along. Bet he was only upset for being put in a dungeon or wherever he was put.
8. If you could experience being tiny or gigantic, which would you choose? Why? Calvin changed size throughout the story. If you could choose a permanent size for him, what would it be?
I would choose being tiny, imagine all the tiny spaces you could find. There’s a room in the attic that we can’t get to in my house and I’d love to see it. I think Calvin was better tiny though.
9. Vanessa lost her sight in the Dragon Temple. How does she proceed after the blindness occurred? As a narco-blix, what extra abilities does she possess to help her cope with the loss?
She doesn’t look back, she focuses on the future. Pun intended. I mean, with her basically possessing people at least she can see through their eyes, so the loss wouldn’t hit as hard.
10. Earlier in this series, we received hints that there were other Fairy Queens before Bracken’s mother held the position. How do you think Bracken’s mother felt about surrendering the crown? Why? How might the Fairy Realm be different with the Alderfairy wearing the crown?
It said that she felt relieved, surrendering it. I think the fairy realm would be better, seeing as she blamed Ronodin and the Astrids for no good reason. Sure, Ronodin might have done bad things later on but if he wasn’t rejected for that mistake he might have not done them.
11. Konrad’s history has layers to it. Why did he choose to share parts of the story rather than the whole tale? Do you think he was right to do so? Explain.
I mean, you get all of that fame and power to yourself, if people had known the stories were fake, people would have gotten braver and would’ve volunteered. It’s not totally bad to keep things for your benefit, you know? It helped his family a lot. Don’t like how it led to dragon slavery and all of that. You gotta do what you gotta do to get that coin.
12. Who do you think was the most effective Dragon Slayer in the story? Why? Who was your favorite Dragon Slayer?
LMAOOO HERE HE IS AGAIN, PRETENDING SOMETHING EXISTS. The Dragon Slayers didn’t do shit, and we all know it. But if I picked a favorite it’d be the no homo girl, Nadia, was it?
13. Sasquatches blur the line between reality and fantasy, because some people believe in them, while others don’t. Do you think sasquatches are real? Why or why not? What other cryptids interest you?
I have no opinion on whether sasquatches are real or not. Off of the top of my head I can’t think of other cryptids I’m interested in.
14. What has Seth learned since the beginning of his adventure? What has Kendra learned over the same period? Do you think they are more capable adventurers than at the start of Fablehaven? Do you expect them to seek adventure or avoid it in the future? Explain your answers.
LMAO HE’S SAYING THAT THERE’S CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AGAIN, and the character’s should definitely get therapy.
15. After the fourth book of Dragonwatch was published, some people told Brandon Mull there was too much unfinished business for him to wrap up the story in one book. Should those people be sorry? Did you feel that way? If so, are you sorry? How sorry?
Not sorry, clearly.
I know my answers are shit and queen is coming after them right as I’m typing this.
This was @fairyqueenofthedragons idea

Dragonwatch book 5 Theories
-After they all eventually figure everything out and save the day, Vanessa will be healed, probably by the Fairy Queen
-BRACKENDRA!
-Risenmay will spend the rest of her life shipping Brackendra, and probably throw in some pre-arranged romantic picnics in the middle of the war, too
-Seth and the Singing Sisters will restore the Ethergem
-Once fixed, the Ethergem will use some sort of awesome Source Magic to oust Ronodin, possibly purifying all his horns in the process, and get rid of all the darkness in the Fairy Realm
-Seth goes into the Demon Prison for the shard in the Demon King’s crown and makes a trade- the shard in exchange for the demons being allowed out of their new prison to fight the Dragons
-Kendra will have to find the Dragon Slayers, and there’ll be a huge Zzyzx-style fight with all the races vs the Dragons
-They all find new prisons/confinements/sanctuaries for everyone, Demons and Dragons alike, or create new preserves/treaties allowing them to come and go from sanctuaries like Raxtus as long as mortals don’t see them, or get harmed in any way at all
-Kendra might become an eternal, and Seth ?the Under King? I don’t love either of those ideas, but they seem likely
-The Font of Immortality is recreated with RONODIN’S third horn instead of Brackens! (Personally, this is my favorite theory!)

The Fragments of Raglamar
The Ethergem was the gift from the Source. When it was broken it became the Ethershard, part of the 3 lesser crowns, and the Wizenstone.
Raglamar was a gift from the Void. When it was broken (which happened in the process of breaking the Ethergem) it became the Unforgiving Blade, and... we don’t know what else. I have a theory that the nail that gave Seth his power is a fragment of Raglamar.
☽ It was remarkably difficult to destroy. It could only be destroyed by something of equal power. The pebble was created, I believe, from Source power.¹
☽ Graulas calls the nail a talisman of “tremendous dark power”, and later a “reservoir of dark power”. If Seth had touched it, it would have “taken possession” of him. Like the Unforgiving Blade, touching it with one’s flesh would be a mistake. The nail, like the Wizenstone, seems to have a will of its own. Anyways, Navarog was capable of retrieving it and brought it to the demon Kurisock. Graulas expresses his confusion as to why Navarog didn’t bring the nail to him, and says he doesn’t know what Navarog did with the nail while in Kurisock’s domain. What I think happened is that Kurisock became a servant of the nail in the same way that Humbuggle became servant of the Wizenstone.
☽ As a fragment of Raglamar, it’s location on the preserve would make sense. Raglamar was shattered when Nagi Luna used it to cut the Ethergem. We don’t know where this took place. [Living Mirage would make sense, though it’s possible she only ever lived there in the Quiet Box. ] But we do know that the action brought about the curse on the Nipsies. Where are the Nipsies? At Fablehaven. Where is Graulas’ cave, despite considering India and China more his home? Fablehaven. Where is Humbuggle most likely from? Also Fablehaven. When I asked Brandon Mull whether Humbuggle was the dwarf mentioned in the Caretaker’s Guide, he was vague, answering “I think so”. Fablehaven would make sense as a location for Graulas to retire to after he was injured by his attempt to wield the Wizenstone.
Something else I wonder about is if shadow charmers typically have to get their power from a specific source, or if a demon simply bestows it. Is Seth a typical shadow charmer?
¹ The Fairy Queen tells Kendra and Bracken that what power she could draw from the Source remains limited. Limited, I’d assumed, from the actions of Graulas. The stone given to Kendra by the Fairy Queen in GotSP was created out of Source power. But she had to destroy her shrines to obtain said power- she can’t draw on it endlessly as Kendra seems to be able to. This would suggest that either Kendra is particularly powerful, or that the Fairy Queen has a major flaw. My intuition tells me it’s that it’s because the Fairy Queen is a unicorn, not a fairy. Risenmay says past Fairy Queens have been fairies, and insinuates that it should be that way for whatever reason.
Why The Fairy King Let Ronodin Into The Fairy Realm
The Void and the Source self-balance. Damage to one automatically equals damage to the other. I don’t believe this extends to the Under and Fairy realms. Demons desecrate the Fairy Realm. Bracken had to be in the Fairy Realm to help her oust demons in order to secure their realm, or else there could be “an Age of Darkness that could consume leaf and stream”; the presence of impurity in the Fairy Realm doesn’t mean there is similar impurity in the Under Realm. The Fairy Realm and Under Realm must be kept in balance manually, they don’t self-regulate. It really is of utmost importance that nothing desecrates either Realm- Kendra’s presence in the Under Realm was seen by the Underking as so detrimental that she had to be gone at any cost, even uniting the crowns. This is because impurity in either realm would be an obstacle to the Source or the Void respectively. The Fairy King explains that his being in the Fairy Realm desecrates it and is thus an obstacle to the Source. He seems very concerned about the security threat that poses.
A quote from the Fairy King. “I have tried to leave against her (the Fairy Queen’s) wishes, but she is too powerful here. Even without her crown. You must convince her to let me go.” Bracken only agreed to help convince his mother to let the King go if he failed against the demons and the situation with lack of connection with the Source became grim enough. So did the Fairy Queen have a change of heart? I doubt it. I believe it is possible that the Fairy King let Ronodin and the dragons in because- for what ever reason- he thought it would lead to him being allowed to leave. The other option is that he didn’t let Ronodin in, but that his presence simply created a weakness that Ronodin exploited. But I can’t conceive of that being the case- after all, he was able to create a bracelet that enabled Gwendolyn to act independently of Ronodin. If the Fairy King wasn’t plotting alongside Ronodin, why would he have the power to offer Gwendolyn immunity from allegiance to Ronodin? Another reason I don’t think this is possible is that if Ronodin and the Fairy King weren’t colluding, why would Ronodin let the Fairy King leave? The Fairy King must have still believed that leaving the Fairy Realm would strengthen their connection with the Source, or he would have remained there and helped the unicorns fight against Ronodin.
Remember, it was the Fairy King’s idea to risk the crown to send Kendra into the Under Realm to retrieve Bracken, Seth, and the Sunset Pearl. What I don’t understand, is why the Fairy King would prioritise his love for Bracken & his faith in Kendra over the safety of the Fairy Realm. The Fairy King was willing to risk the safety of the Fairy Realm by colluding with Ronodin all so that he could gain a chance at freedom. Wouldn’t the entry of Ronodin (and his comrades the dragons, few demons, and few wizards) create a larger security risk than the simple presence of the Fairy King? Did he simply suffer a massive lapse in judgement? Or did he think that his absence would not only purify the Fairy Realm, but also heal the connection with the Source? Is it possible that he hoped that having the Fairy Queen’s crown out of the realm would enable him to escape? He acted like he’d attempted to leave.
The Goals of the Singing Sisters
The more I think about it, the more confused I get. I am convinced that the Singing Sisters mean to re-make the Ethergem. What I don’t know is why- do they simply wish to bring balance between light and darkness? Or do they mean to undo the curses on those involved with the creation of the three lesser crowns? If Nagi Luna were still alive, I would understand that the Sisters meant to restore power to their sponsor. Maybe, for whatever reason, they believe they can effectively wield it.
Seth’s task seems all the more difficult when one considers that though the Wizenstone was destroyed, its power probably wasn’t banished from existence, just fractured again. I believe this is so because the Unforgiving Blade remains whole- were it banished from existence, the action would likewise unmake the Unforgiving Blade. And of course the pieces are still important.

5, 6, 7 for the cottg asks!!
5. favorite new character?
Reggie!! all the way! also the guy he turns into but his form as memories was amazing.
6. thoughts on the fairy king’s betrayal? why do you think he did it?
honestly I know he felt out of place but it seemed so out of left field. maybe ronodin promised to let him out but used that to get himself into the realm? idk man
7. who do you think is the traitor?
so the most compelling theory I’ve heard was @fairyprincessofthedragons’s theory of Calvin returning the fair folk’s promised piece of the ethergem, effectively stealing it from Seth. this makes the most sense so it’s probably that.
thanks for asking! <3

Jasminer X4-1U Cryptominer
Tumblr media
Bitcoin miners can be a valuable resource in the event of phishing attempts. Hackers often infect websites with malicious code, which allows them to access private information. The malicious code could slow down your computer. You should also be on the lookout for suspicious emails or websites that consume unusual amounts of resources. If you're concerned about this, you should contact the University of Michigan's IT department immediately.
Mining cryptocurrencies requires a certain amount of computing power and electricity. Regardless of which type of cryptocurrency you'd like to mine, it's important to choose the right equipment. It should be capable of mining your chosen currency efficiently. It should also have good power balance and electricity consumption. An cryptocurrency miner must also take into account the legal and financial risks that come with such a large initiative. These upfront costs should be affordable, as well a way to reduce costs as you go along.
Jasminer’s X4 mining machine is relatively new to the market. The miner is currently available on F2 pool, and there have not been any reviews. We do have some thoughts about this miner you should consider before buying it. We'll go over the advantages of this miner and its power consumption. Find out more about this miner by reading on.
The Bitcoin miner is small enough for you to place in your room. The Jasminer X4 Etchash Brick uses 30W power, the same as a typical household lamp. Although it can mine two cryptocurrency per day, its hashrate and price are extremely low. This means it can still make $2.85 per hour, which is quite impressive for a bitcoin miner.
The Jasminer X4-1U is a high-end cryptocurrency miner. It uses the EtHash algorithm to mine and can produce a maximum hashrate up to 520 Mh/s. It is easy to install and operates with the included USB cable. However, you will have to install mining software, which is available in different versions for various operating systems. You should make sure you choose one compatible with trustee seller Jasminer Seller.
Jasminer X4-1U mining machine costs $2,099 with a fanless layout. Sunlune Technology is used to create the 30W chip. This unique process combines three-dimensional chip stacking with through-silicon vias to combine storage and computing units on one silicon chip. It measures 45x45mm and has 5 GB of memory. The Jasminer X4-1U supports a variety of cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), EtherGem, Mother of All Chains (MoA), and Ether-1.
Jasminer X4 Etchash brick is small and lightweight, weighing in at 4.8kg. You can stack it, so you can stack more than one. Its distinctive, blocky appearance makes it a wonderful addition to any house or office. However, it needs an Ethernet connection to be used and is best in colder climates. To optimize performance, it is best to connect it through an Ethernet Cable.

3. Five monarchs ruled the magical world when this series began. Which two crowns remain at the end? How might this new situation change the balance of power in the magical world?
The Underking's Crown and the Fairy Queens crown.
And honestly the balance of power seems overwhelmingly in the Fairy Queens favor. Seth got turned light, all the forces went to the light, the Unforgivingly Blade was destroyed but the Ethergem restored, etc.
So uh... Seems like the fairies have the overwhelming authority... Not sure why it's called a balance in this case cause they don't seem to care about the other species wants that much.

Buy Bitmain Antminer E9
Bitmain Antminer E9 (3Gh)
Bitmain Antminer E9 (3Gh) is the miner everyone is ready for. The manufacturer released a video exhibiting how the miner will look like. It makes use of the EtHash Algorithm and comes with a hash rate of 3Gh/s. The maximum power consumption is ready at 2556W and has a complete weight of 14,200g. It uses the Ethernet Interface, and the top coins to mine embody EtherGem, Ethereum, and more. The scale of the Antminer E9 is 195*290*400mm. Please discover out more in our clear BITMAIN ANTMINER E9 3GH Review.
A Transient Overview of Bitmain Antminer E9 (3 GH)
There's a total of 37 cash to mine with this platform. Unfortunately, there’s no ASIC assist for it as we watch for the release date. Present market knowledge point out MPH Ethash as the top coin to mine. Different coins embody FLEXPOOL ETH and POOLIN ETH.
With the miner still within the manufacturer's fingers, there’s no mining pool related to the miner. Bitmain is a well known manufacturer with a confirmed monitor record. Miners are looking forward to getting their hands on this miner.
Those who can’t get access to this miner can profit from it through cloud mining platforms. BitFuFu is without doubt one of the few cloud mining platforms already planning to roll out this miner. You possibly can mine Ethereum due to this cloud mining service provider.
Algorithm of Bitmain Antminer E9
With Ethash offering a POW algorithm, it helps utilize reminiscence hardness. With this algorithm, pace shouldn't be important; the memory of your Pc is the primary asset. Ethash mines one block for about 15 seconds.
The algorithm encourages competitors and has raised the difficulty level. And this is why you want a powerful machine to mine Ethereum. The downside of this algorithm is utilizing extra computerized and electricity.
Efficiency of the Antminer E9
With a high energy consumption of 2556W, the effectivity ought to be high. And the Bitmain Antminer E9 comes with an effectivity of 0.852j/Mh. With this high energy, the platform wants more fans.
Four followers come with this miner. The 4 miners assist to decrease heat levels and avoid excessive electricity costs.
Hash Fee of the Bitmain E9
3 GH/s is the hash price discovered on this miner, which is a good improvement. With Bitmain identified for creating Bitcoin miners, this Ethereum unit is a sport-changer. It has one of many highest hash rates the platform has to offer.
The high hash price makes it potential to mine 37 cash, and most are highly profitable. On the finish of the day, the hash rate plays a huge role in guaranteeing a profitable mining experience. The upper the hash rate, the higher the prospect of mining more coins.
Humidity and Temperature levels
For the miner to work successfully, it has to work underneath normal room conditions. The manufacturer has set 5 p.c as the minimal humidity and 95 % because the maximum. Temperature additionally helps the miner from overheating. The suitable temperature levels will give the miner an extended lifespan. Temperature is about at 5 levels Celsius minimal and 45 levels Celsius maximum.
Noise ranges
Surprisingly, this miner comes with bearable noise levels. Most miners come with 75 decibels of sound volume. And this is what the E9 brings to the table. You possibly can easily use this miner at house and count on no complaints from neighbors.
The Profitability of Bitmain Antminer E9 3GH
