Evil clones lowkey have it worse y'know. Oh yeah they get to be goofy and flamboyant and torment the hero with their darkest reflection and give the reader/viewer a glimpse into the popular "let's make blorbo evil" fanon thing, but like. At least other types of clones (though tormented by 'I'm not a real person just a copy') are at least sometimes made out love y'know. Like Astro Boy was made bc his dad wanted his kid back. Even lab clones are made for a purpose. Evil clones? Sorry bro your creator just realllllly hates this one specific guy so go beat him up. You actually have zero hope of becoming your own person, because your narrative purpose is to die when the hero overcomes themself. You are a dark mirror to be killed and that's it that's who you are. Worst part is no one will miss you. Creator? Saw you as disposable, will call you a failed experiment and move on to Death Laser #37. You had no friends. The only thing they get is a cool color scheme like damn it must suck to be an evil clone

I saw and recognized my community college campus in a meme, so I jumped in like in Super Mario 64 or Paprika, and then I ran around until I had to fight my supposedly evil clone to the death in some random dorm.

B: Gain immortality (cant die of old age/body does not break down over time due to aging and your mind is adjusted such that you dont run out of memory, go insane, etc) however an evil palette swap doppleganger of you from another universe appears at a random location with 1 km of you and also gains this form of immortality, and is sworn to kill you at any cost.

C: Gain the power of shapeshifting, but everyone will always recognise you regardless of form, and you cannot take on the same form twice (that is, there must be at least one difference you are able to notice)

Meet *sigh* Lil' Pauly...Big Pauly's #1 rival and arch enemy. I made Lil' Pauly exist because I wanted to give one of my favorite characters of all time: Big Pauly a fake version/evil clone of himself.

Maybe this is very "child who turned into a complete tattletale teacher's pet doormat because they were taught they should be pleasant and agreeable for adults or else are worthless" of me, but I love when characters meet or become the ideal "good" version of themself and they're a fucking obnoxious boring loser.

Imagine running into a version of yourself that's just you with everything interesting or complex about them sanded off until there's almost nothing there, and someone tells you that you're "better this way" because this version of you is as inoffensive and palatable as mashed potatoes with no butter.

For those of you who didn't watch Parker Plays on Disney XD when it was going... just kind of imagine a gaming youtuber but on public television! This show was my first introduction to a lot of things, one of the reasons I even bothered to learn to voice act, & has forever warped all my jokes. It holds a special place in my heart.
