Ok so check this out.
I've just come up with a unique execution method for a medieval setting. So the victim is tied up and is placed inside a box with the top open. Next the people carrying out the execution take bags full of salt and start pouring them into the box with the victim inside, drowning the victim in salt until the box is full, then they seal the box forever preserving the victim's body in a salty tomb.
This method would not be carried out on just anyone tho. You see back in the middle ages salt was seen as a very expensive luxury item. So expensive in fact that it was used as payment and wars were fought over it. So for someone to be executed in this fashion it would have shown that the person that ordered the execution is very wealthy like a high ranking Nobel or a king. Since it would take a small fortune to buy enough salt to bury someone in. I call it "Death by salt box" Creative I know but it was all I could think of.

lmao so I'm up on the king's scaffold and the executioner leans in just before he raises the axe to take my head off and whispers that he's always had a crush on me and thinks it's a shame he'll only get to hack up such a pretty neck once. but the joke's on him cause I'm wearing a resurrection amulet and I can't seem to stop getting caught corrupting the nuns in the local convent, so I'll definitely be back

fanfic writers love to mention the burning at the stake but that's never actually confirmed as the standard punishment for sorcery in canon. old merlin barely escapes death on the pyre. he tells daegal that arthur would probably hang him if he found out the truth. he tells arthur "you would've chopped my head off". did merlin spend most of his time imagining all the different ways in which he could be executed or did the writers not want to commit

All those ominous unspeaking hooded guys who did all the torturing in castle dungeons? They got tired of being defeated by escaping protagonists. They all work for centrelink now, and they've never been more productive.

executive function strategies / focus-enhancing techniques
pls feel free to reblog or comment ur own!
Pomodoro Method 🍅
25 minute interval of focusing + 5 minute break x2
followed by a 25 minute interval of focusing + 15 minute break
repeat!
you only have to focus for a set amount of time!
& it gamifies your work
I use Pomofocus but there are other sites and apps as well !
Note: You can lower these time intervals to something more accessible at first! If 2 or 5 minutes feels more achievable, start there.

Body Doubling 💑
I usually get a friend who also needs to work on call
This can also be in the form of having a study with me stream on, working in a café, or being around someone in person.
The accountability and parallel play is very effective for me, even if we are not actively collaborating or speaking!
Tumblr media
Break Down Tasks 🔨
This is very important to neurodivergent folks.
I think about it like a computer program. When you explicitly list each step of a process, in its simplest steps, it does a significant amount of work for your brain before you've even started.
So make a list of steps for your individual tasks, breaking them down.

Rituals 🕯️
This can be whatever you want it to be!
Light candles, play a specific order of songs, chewing gum.
Doing these before each work session can make connections in your brain that improves focus and memory.

Note: This is a great gateway to Habit Stacking as well. This is a method outlined in Atomic Habits in which you link new habits to existing ones. For example, after making a cup of coffee, as you already may do every morning, you sit down to plan or review tasks.

Productive Procrastinating 🫣
This is admittedly not always a good idea...but it works!
Basically, it's having a list of things I need to do, and choosing to do something less urgent instead of the biggest or most important project first.
This can help relieve some of the pressure in starting a work sesh and create momentum!
For example, instead of immediately starting that 5 page essay due tonight...I might exercise or clean for 10 minutes first.
May or may not be what I'm doing right now.

Headcanons for Claudius from German ghosts dealing with Easter considering the Easter story has an innocent man getting killed by Romans?
Hi! First of all, let me apologize for taking so long to reply. Hopefully you will still see this.
As for your question, hm. The Presselounge gives Claudius' year of death as 22 BC, which means Jesus actually died after him XD (ik ik, Jesus probably wasnt born in the year 0, etc, spare me) Back when Claudius was alive, Christianity was just a bunch of weirdos following a Jewish preacher/cult leader, not an established religion; I'm not even sure how well known it was outside of the Levant/in the broader Roman empire. Claudius was stationed at the very edge of it, and depending on his own interests, I doubt he would have heard much of it. It would probably have been a surprise to him to learn of the religion after it was established (when that was depends of course on your own headcanons & how many other ghosts you believe to have been there that have since ascended). i think he would have had very interesting conversations about religion with Griet - who obviously would have been raised in a very devoutly christian society. Imagine them discussing the actual Jesus of Nazareth, untapped comedic potential. As for the actual execution, crucifixion was a common method in the Roman empire, Claudius would probably still think this is normal (but has probably learned to not say that out loud in polite company lol).
Anyway, a lot of easter customs would probably be familiar to him, did you know coloured egg shells have been found in Roman graves? Maybe he'd think we paint eggs as symbolic grave goods. And anyway, fertility rites in spring are a staple of agricultural societies, it would be fun for all of them to sit around and compare easter rituals they remember from being alive.
But yeah, as for the crucifixion, he would probably be like "Yeah, obviously he wasn't a citizen, that's what you get" and everyone else would look at him like 😐😶

i think i am also in love with oraxia because there is zero way a warframe focused on crowd control and isolating targets will be good.
like that's the definition of what people consider underwhelming and bad in this game. i am so excited.
