connor hasn’t set foot on a university campus in  many  years  ,  but he figures they’re all enough  alike  that he can find his way to where he’s going.  it’s a  bullshit  call to investigate a couple of  vandalism  incidents near one of the buildings  ,  &  connor’s quick to put out his  cigarette  when he sees someone approaching  ,  pulling his credentials from his pocket.

‘ professor, got a minute ??  detective stern, dpd.  heard you guys were having a bit of a vandalism issue out here. ’

Pesky words from a pesky creature. Elias barely acknowledged the door whenever it appeared, seeing it as nothing more than a distraction, even more so when the being referred to as Michael made his appearance as well. All the same, he couldn't bring himself to completely eject it from the Institute.

Barely looking up from the schedules he was filling out, only halfway through the library staff when it appeared, and just exhaled a breath, "That is the beauty of life, isn't it? Choices and paths, the different ways to get what one wants. Though, I suppose you wouldn't really understand that now, would you?"

It sits down in the chair across from Elias's desk, leaning back. (Funny how all the employees of this institute are terrified they'll end up in this chair.) As if covertly, it knocks an envelope or two off the desk, though of course it's under no illusions that he can't tell what it's doing. That's the catch though, isn't it? Whether he finds it to his favor or not, Elias is still bound by what one might call call 'social convention'.

Michael giggles, tracing its inner lip with one long, crooked nail. The further the nail slides, the longer its lips seem to be. "I don't think Michael ever thought of you as the management type," it sighs as the laughter subsides and its gaze strays from Elias's face. They've redecorated since the last time it wandered in here. New carpet, awful color.

Listening to the mans words Jon couldnt help but make sure he keep some masqurade of professionalism. They both knew the other ture intentions and feelings but due to their working arragement Jon had to keep his tongue.

A simple hum was his only answer to Jon’s initial comment. Best not to push him too far on that subject, “Just because I am not the Archivist does not mean I am not busy. There is the rest of the institute to handle, lest you forget that.”

Elias just exhaled a small sigh, “Jon, do you still not understand all I do for you? All I do to aide you on this path of understanding? I imagine it is easily missed by you as it is not nearly as grandiose as kidnapping you.”
