I kinda hate that people act like psycholonials is about homestuck because like. Okay Yes understanding hussie's relationship to homestuck can Help you better understand the themes of psycholonials but that's not really what it's about yk. Like you don't need to know a thing about homestuck in order to Get It. Because its not about homestuck it's about online communities in general and how you can and should walk away if it gets too draining and damaging to yourself and that's a concept that extends far beyond homestuck

i truly am baffled by some of the cr fandom when it comes to the topic of the gods and c1 and death in general because. the raven queen didn’t kill vax. in fact she gave him more time. she Does get the blame from keyleth and some from vex but even those two by the end were more so just holding grudges wrapped up in their own issues that were exacerbated by vax’s choices. but it was always vax’s choice. which, y’know, i’m aware of a portion of the cr fandom’s propensity for dismantling every interesting choice a character makes into something forced upon them, but the role of fate in exandria has never been like bad faith you must adhere to the path chosen for you, it’s much more like what brennan has spoken about wrt specificity: as one makes more choices they become more particular to a given outcome. but that’s not some curse by the gods that dooms characters that’s literally just. what living is.

and of course death is a complicated thing that everyone approaches differently but. god the amount of people who view vax’s dynamic with the raven queen as an injustice or his death as some unforgivable thing the raven queen caused some how? in the words of laura bailey, Were We Watching The Same Orb? it isn’t an injustice that vax, completely willing to pay whatever it cost him to save his sister, was bound to the Deal He Agreed To. his role as the champion was one he found meaning and purpose in. further, it was the raven queen that allowed him to be resurrected later in the campaign. like, it isn’t fair that vax had so little time but it is time he chose and time he was given, but vox machina tends to fall on the reaping the benefits side of unfairness of power in exandria. if what makes the gods — particularly the matron of ravens — irredeemable is that they have the power to make choices that mortals can’t like denying someone’s resurrection, how irredeemable must the group of heroes called vox machina (whose members drop like flies to be revived moments later) be to the everyday person who just has to watch the people they love die and make peace with it?

of course it sucks that vax could not have a happy ending or epilogue like the rest of vm, except of course, vex has a family and is happy and loved, and keyleth is strong and alive and protected, and i think that looks a lot like what vax wanted most.

Theres so much you can do there! Spray pollen in your face that makes you slowly hypnotized, or are aphrodisiacs, or just make you submit. Wrap around you and suspend you in the air, Filling you up with whatever alien way of reproduction they have goin for em really! Or or milk you for fertilization in a sort of symbiotic relationship (they get nutrients/fertilization for their seeds, you get intense long lasting pleasure "against your will") There could even be a combination of milking and ovi/insertion if you try hard enough!

really what prompted my double boy dad bakugou post was the idea of his older son — who is six, nearing seven — coming out of his room with messy, sleep-mussed hair and wandering into the kitchen on an early morning when katsuki's getting ready for work.

and your youngest is a little terror. spoiled rotten, katsuki thinks, was too babied and that's why he doesn't listen and has temper tantrums in the middle of the floor and is already throwing punches at three. katsuki's old witch of a mother thinks he'll be bulkier than his older son and twice as mean, prone to pinning his brother to the ground until he's declared the greatest.

(katsuki feels both horror and pride, at the very thought.)

it hasn't always been easy for your oldest; becoming a big brother never is. not that katsuki would know what that's like, but he hated to even share a playground with deku, much less share his one and only mommy, so he can only imagine what his own son went through when his brother arrived.

but he's been great about it, which comes as no surprise because his oldest has always been great about everything. gets his little brother out of bed and reminds him of his manners—even as he's getting whacked—gives up his toys just so the baby won't cry. he's too smart for his own good, acting like a big boy now—and it makes katsuki nostalgic in a way that hurts.

there hasn't been a lot of time for just the two of them. not like there used to be.

so when his firstborn comes to stand beside him in the kitchen, to lean his head against his dad's hip and rub at his sleepy eyes—katsuki just ruffles his already messy hair, before giving his ear a little tug.

"should be asleep," he grumbles to him, "sun's not even up yet."

his son only shrugs, yawns hard; despite this, he says, "'m not tired."

katsuki snorts and continues with his routine: finishes his protein shake, gives the kid a sip when he thinks he wants one (he doesn't really, though he tries not to make a face at the taste as he nods, as if he likes it), makes sure he's got all his work shit in his bag for patrol later. and his son is mostly quiet, content to share in the morning just between the two of them after katsuki sits him on the counter.

and then he asks, "can i come to work with you?"

on instinct, katsuki glances at his shut bedroom door, where you're still fast asleep, on the other side, and then down the hallway to where his youngest is sleeping, too.

technically, the kid probably could because you're off work today, and you could come pick him up later before katsuki has to head out, but—

"your brother won't be happy if i take you and not him."

and your oldest is a good big brother. has more patience than katsuki ever did, knows how to share—but on this morning that the two of them are indulging in, he only shrugs.

"well," he sighs—and he sounds so grown up, sounds like you when you're leveling with katsuki. "if he wanted to go then he should have got up, too."

"that why you're awake?" katsuki frowns, though his son only shrugs again. the idea that he's gotten up way too early, at the ass-crack of dawn just to have some extra time with his dad is too—

"yeah," katsuki murmurs, nodding at him to hop off the counter. "get your socks on so we can go."

there won't be anything for him to do in the agency office, besides get an endless amount of cups of water from the dispenser and all the candy in the receptionist's bowl and attention from the older ladies that thinks he's just so stinking cute.

but at least they'll be together, just the two of them. like old times.

I actually started off with some free-hand doodling. I made these smaller ones (A5 -ish size each).

I kinda prefer their faces here more than the final versions because I think they’re cuter :3 but!!! Mickey’s right arm is shorter than his left!!!!! :’)

I kept telling myself that it’s okay, that this IS GallaCRAFTS and CRAFTS can be wobbly and asymmetrical sometimes, right!!!!?

But my brain won’t leave me alone so I scraped these A5 ones and made the larger, symmetrical, finalised versions~ :3

I was also being super ambitious at one point, because I wanted to make detachable hair for them lol specifically I wanted to make one for Mickey so that I can make his iconic 7x10 beanie-core look, but again, I didn’t have enough time so I scraped the idea :’)

I have reached the 10-image limit for tumblr mobile, so maybe I’ll share it in another post — but I had these washi tapes with colourful fruits on them :D It was so much fun trying to choose which washi tapes to go with for their tropical holiday shirts!

I had so much fun with this! The last time I crafted anything was in 1912 before the Titanic sank, so this has been an absolute blast! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

I think I’ll just slowly start making outfits for my Gallavich Paper Dolls from now on & I’ll share them here from time to time! Sooo many possibilities!! 🤩

Historical fiction from a war period, where the events and setting are sooooo interesting, that the authors prolong and loop the time in such way, that the characters can thoroughly "enjoy" n explore it all in its glorious horror. n_n

was anyone going to tell me that one of the songs on the official soundtrack is an arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture and that it plays not only during Chen Nan and Zhuang Shuai's R+J performance but also during the Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang hostage exchange scene, or was I going to have to find that out myself by translating the ost titles that weren't in English on a whim

y'know... for a setting that places so much importance in Language and does so many ice cool things playing with it (Correspondence/Discordance, Parabola & Irem, etc) i think there's a bit of a missed opportunity when it comes to the terms and words people use in their day to day life... like for example:

do you think radical revolutionaries would avoid words like "enlightening" in their vocabulary and flip them for LON-appropriate counterparts to signal their beliefs?

like substituting the word "light" with "blight". lol

similarly, pet names relating to light like "sunshine" kinda have a whole extra flavour tied to them, leaning into nostalgia, melancholy and/or danger depending on the people using it. irony, even

"honey" as a pet name also has extra connotations now and might actually bother some people instead due to the association with the drug...

do you think SMEN, taboo as it is, and seeking being a recognizable phenomenon even to the common londoner, would spawn swear words and insults? (imagine the weight of telling someone to Go Seek or Fall Down a Well)

the word "well" itself. well as an adverb, interjection, adjective. just. think about it. think about what it represents. idk something is happening to this word for sure
