hands down my favorite interaction between the council and anyone else besides sophie is when grady made them all slap themselves in the face at the same time (truly iconic, luv u king)

but

every time i think about that part during alvar’s tribunal when fallon walked in, halted the entire proceedings literally just by his mere presence, and like the first thing he did was look at alina and make that little comment about hearing wedding bells? jaw. dropped.

and then alina immediately comes back with that bit about “well it worked out for the best” or whatever and gestured to her councillor throne? the pettiness. hilarious.

no cuz i know if i was sophie i would not have been able to keep it together. i would have been laughing so hard. it makes me cackle every time i think about it. the pettiness is truly unmatched. i love it.

Reminder that in the first book it said Sophie pretty much nails the elven accent, that accent being the vacker’s British-like accent, which means Sophie probably still sounds British

the real love triangle here is between alden, livy, Della and Quinlin. Like they need to go on a double date or something and swap partners half way through. Like is this an evelyn hugo situation where the 2 cis couples that are actually made up of a group of bi and gays pretending to date each other just so they can swap partners in the dark?

Lowkey thats kind of what i imagined Livy and Della were doing the whole time Alden and Quinlin were searching for Sophie and stuff.

I wonder if Bronte ever goes to Fallon's house

and he just sits there listening to the even older guy yapping, and Bronte sits there politely, waiting for a few minutes until Fallon loses his train of thought, and Bronte gently puts him back on track without ever making Fallon feel bad about forgetting things.

I wonder if Bronte leaves at the end of the day (because it takes an entire day to get through conversations with Fallon) and Bronte just lays there in his bed in his large councillor castle, wondering how long he will be able to remember stuff and how long until he can no longer be a councillor. Bronte starts putting his mind through memory games created by humans because he will do anything to keep from losing himself and control.

Regarding your requests post, could you maybe draw Fallon or use the 22nd colour palette? You don't have to do both (or either), but either way I really like your art so I don't really mind :3

this is messy lol but here u go! I’ve yet to get to Fallon in the story yet…I think he hadn’t made much appearance by the time I stopped the series years ago so I don’t know much about him 👀 excited to get to him tho! (I was watching castlevania stuff while drawing this that may have influenced it lolll)
