7 Oliver and Barry

Originally I was going to go with the norm and have Oliver be the dominate one in this relationship but my brain had a better idea:

Barry couldn’t even count on his fingers the amount of times he had told Oliver to not worry about catching whatever villain it was they were after. You’d think he’d remember with Oliver grumbling about it so much but at this point he’s tuned the older man out. 

“Are you seriously forgetting that I’m the Flash?” Barry says utterly exasperated, pinching the bridge of his nose after Oliver has yet again thrown his hands up in frustration.

The sharpness in which Oliver turns in Barry’s direction is almost enough to make the speedster jump in surprise. “It’s not just about speed Allen!” The blonde vigilante snaps, the use of the last name making both men want to cringe. “If something goes wrong you need a tactical backup plan and a backup plan for the back up plan. Too many things could happen and you have to be ready for-”

He doesn’t get to finish because at this point Barry has had enough of his griping. He speeds over to his boyfriend, grabs his face, and smashes their lips together. Silence, sweet sweet silence. He doesn’t even wait for a reaction before he’s biting Oliver’s bottom lip, not that he needed to since Oliver was already frozen in a surprised gasp from the initial contact. 

The amount of time Barry’s tongue is inside Oliver’s mouth is fast but not too fast, long enough so the older man can feel it but not so much that this would lead to something else. No, the gesture was just to shut the other man up. 

“You worry way too much about this stuff Ollie.” Barry says with a small, triumphant grin as he backs away leaving Queen more than stunned.

1. do you remember the episode/scene/chapter that you first started shipping 5?

To my eternal shame it wasn't even an episode because I didn't really watch the Flash and Arrow series. It was a gif of an interview with Grant Gustin (who plays Flash) and Stephen Amell (who plays Arrow) and the interviewer asks if we can expect a romance, and Grant gestures at Stephen and says "what, between the two of us?" And Stephen just cracks up fondly at him.

2. have you ever read fanfiction about 2?

YES.  A lot from Bee, who got me into them, and then random things I found on AO3 and tumblr.

3. has a picture of 4 ever been your screen saver/profile picture/tumblr id?

My screen saver is bubbles, I think, and my profile pics and IDs are generally unrelated to ships. To Damian's probably great displeasure, my work desktop is currently a picture of Tim?

4. if 3 were to suddenly break up today, what would your reaction be

NOOOO my babies.  Well, I mean, the story of Tim's life is everything goes wrong, so I guess it wouldn't be that surprising.

5. why is 1 so important?

Because I'm convinced without Clark in his life Bruce is just destabilized.  I still maintain he's such an asshole in Injustice world because Clark went insane and essentially is gone from his life.

6. is 4 a funny ship or a serious ship?

Surprisingly, for a couple of 10 year olds, more serious than funny.  They have some cute amusing storylines, but their love for each other is pretty serious, yo. After all, you don't buy a hideout and a pimped-out motorcycle for just anyone. (Also Damian probably takes offense at the idea that his feelings for Colin are "funny".)

7. out of all your ships listed, which ship has the most chemistry?

I have to agree with Bee on this. SuperBat are just dumb like that. Also there's that panel where Clark says something about Bruce's "growly baritone" driving him crazy.

8. of all the ships, which ship has the strongest bond?

SuperBat or TimKon.  SuperBat have time on their side, as well as the fact that Clark canonically is so familiar with Bruce's heartbeat that he can tell Bruce isn't on an alternate earth within minutes of arriving.  TimKon have uh, the fact that Tim tried to bring Kon back via illicit means like 3 times, and Kon keeps an old batarang around (apparently so he can track Tim down at will?), and they share their deepest secrets.

9. how many times have you read/watched 2’s fandom?

Ahaha I'm that terrible person who's only seen random scans and snips of comics.  I've technically read through my Red Robin anthology a couple times, and Dick is at least present there?

10. which ship lasted the longest?

In real life or comic time?  Actually, scratch that, the answer is just SuperBat.

11. how many times, if ever, has 5 broken up?

I feel like if those two ever got together, the answer is either constantly or never.  Like, either they'd fight every few weeks, break up, irritate everyone with being miserable, and get back together.  Or every time Ollie tries to get all introspective about how he doesn't deserve Barry/he's a danger to Barry, Barry will just smack him in the head and kiss his nose and that's that.

12. if the world was suddenly thrust into a zombie apocalypse, which ship would make it out alive, 1 or 3 ?

Gah, that's a hard call.  I mean, Tim survived Blackest Night, which was basically a zombie apocalypse, and he's better at asking for help than Bruce. But then again /Clark/, who is Superman and also survived Blackest Night.  Probably all of them.  Let's hope for all of them.

13. did 4 ever have to hide their relationship for any reason?

Ahaha I can't imagine they would. Colin might try to explain that it would be easier, but Damian is way too stubborn and way too direct to keep it secret.

14. is 5 still together?

I like to think they're on their way.  Mainly because Ollie doesn't smile except when Barry shows up.

15. is 1 canon?

YES.  No one can tell me otherwise.

16. if all five ships were put into a couple’s hunger games, which couple would win?

Gahhh this is hard.  Probably Bruce and Clark, but I dunno.  Tim's brainpower rivals Bruce's, but you'd have to convince him to use it against Bruce.  I guess Jason doesn't mind shooting people, but poor Dickie would probably cry/spend most of his time trying to set up a rebellion so none of his family have to die. 

17. has anyone ever tried to sabotage 5’s ship?

Ahaha I can't tell if the writers ship it or are trying to set them up with their clearly intended female love interests.

18. which ship(s) would you defend to the death and beyond?

All of them. I have no shame.

19. have you ever spent hours a day going through 3’s tumblr page?

Only once or twice?  The tag doesn't update very fast.

20. if an evil witch descended from the sky and told you that you had to pick one of the five ships to break up forever, which ship would you sink?

OllieBarry, probably.  I'm okay with them being adorable superbros.
