present tense verbs + masculine/neutral words
Guess who gave up on studying math (for now). I spent most of my day reading. In the end I read 5 articles on the anti ai and modern luddite movement and 60 pages in my book. After a longer break to eat dinner I continued studying croatian. Today consisted of translating sentences (which was quite hard because I was lacking the needed vocabulary) and writing flashcards for present verb tense, masculine and neutral word endings :)
Screentime: 1h (who am I and what have I done to Finn?)🦦

Au where Arceus tries to fix things by fucking things up more. It knows It has to send Ingo to Hisui for Its whole plan to work, but It doesn't want to separate Ingo from his home and family. So split him in two! That'll be fine!
So basically, Ingo in Hisui is as we know him in the game. Only knows his name and about pokemon and battling. But Ingo in Unova can't have the same knowledge, especially if Arceus plans to eventually fuse them back together. So he remembers basically everything other than his own name and stuff about pokemon and battling. Obviously, when Emmet realizes this, he gets his brother to a hospital for testing to see what's wrong, and a lot of their time is spent just trying to reteach Ingo about himself and pokemon. And lots of brain scans and medical staff psychic pokemon trying to figure out what's wrong.

Tagging my City of Light peeps, in case you're interested! (And if you want to be on the list, just lmk) ^^
@aalinaaaaaa @rvcont @thelaughingstag
January 2025 Newsletter, coming 29/01
Another newsletter dropping in a week, on the 29th! This one's gonna have two goodies as per usual.
The January Writing Goodie(s)
Last time I shared the Book in a Year guide for managing your time to write a book in one year. (You can still download the guide by joining the newsletter.)
This time I'm sharing my Flashcarding method to help you get your story organized from the content side of things. How, specifically?
This method will help with plotting and figuring out what to work on in your writing days/sessions, so you never have to look at the blank screen again 😂
It's also great for troubleshooting your plot in a range of ways, including pacing, timeline, and multiple storylines/POVs. 🔎
It can help you get productive and increases your motivation to write 💪 Roll up those sleeves and get that story written!
If you want to grab this when it comes out on the 29th and beyond, join my newsletter here. ⬅️
(Psst! There may also be an early limited offer for my horror writing course that you can benefit from if that's something you've been interested in! ^^ It's a bit like a beta reading thing, but for my course. If I can get it to work, more details will be provided in my newsletter.)
The January Reader's Goodie
Last month, I shared my short horror story, The Siren in the Glass. (You can still grab it by joining the newsletter; it's on the group page.) This month, I'm sharing a long, chunky excerpt from The City of Light, my fantasy novel in the works.
If you're not familiar with The City of Light, here are some links that might be helpful:
WIP intro post
WIP page
tiny battle snippet
breaking the rules snippet
sick ill diseased snippet
and the most recent update, shared on Dec 2024
If you want to grab this when it comes out on the 29th and beyond, join my newsletter here. ⬅️
(I'll reblog this post to tag my City of Light tag list, and if you want to be on the list so you can be updated when anything related to this novel is shared, please let me know.)

29 June 2025
The absolute whirlwind that the past couple of days have been:
finished, submitted, and printed my thesis. It's on one of my bookshelves now and I get surprised every time I see it there lol
passed the last final of the semester and with a satisfactory grade at that :)
been studying for the very last final of the degree - the BSc exam. It's a lot, but I've been preparing with a friend and it's great, bc we identify and correct each other's mistakes :) + I know he's very reliable and actually fact-checks his answers instead of just having ai spit out random garbage for him... Very successful cooperation if you ask me, I think we'll do pretty well on the final!
what the heck is that strawberry 🤔
#those flashcards im holding in the pic are just for one course#so i have like a heap of those to memorize 😭#mine#op#studyblr#chemistry#chemblr#studyspo#study motivation#stemblr#thesis tag

you know what would be fun?
A puzzle game where you're given a bunch of different objects, magazines, books, food labels, et cetera, all with a made up language on them. Then, with just the objects you're given, you have to decipher how to read the conlang your only clues come from the pictures and contents of the items
say for example, the game gives you two cans they're different brands, but two of the words on the front of them match the game lets you open the cans, and inside you find that both are filled with tomato soup ergo, you can conclude that the shared words mean "tomato soup"
then you can take another can, this one only shares one word and is filled with vegetable soup. Therefore, that single word that all three cans share must mean "soup" and by process of elimination the other word means "tomato"
and the idea is you keep doing this with different words till you can fully translate everything
#ideas#game ideas#a few of the beginner objects it might give you could be children's books and flashcards and food items with simple labels#like say there's salt and pepper shakers that are labeled#to make it easier on the player#maybe there's a system that lets you connect one of the made up words with a real word an object or a picture#and if you match them correctly it translates the word on all the in game objects#so like for the tomato soup cans#you could click the shared word on the can label then connect it to the soup in the cans#and after you do that the word will get translated on the label#I guess it would depend on how complex the conlang is#maybe you can select the word and then it'll bring up a tooltip with the translation if you've already discovered it#I say all this as if I actually have the programming knowledge to actually make something like this (I do not)

studying methods ˖ ⊹ ࣪ ౨ৎ˚
"the kpop method"
You're going to pretend that your school is a kpop company, and each class represents a different kpop group, and each student is a member of that group. The best student in each class is the most biased member, and the worst student is the least biased member. work until you are the most biased member. By working hard and putting in your effort, you can become the most biased member of your class and achieve your academic goals.
BONUS - If you want to become the best version of yourself while still using the kpop method, i have a little tip for you! You're going to make a list of requirements for yourself, this can include how you want to dress, how you want to act, make a routine for yourself, etc. Then you can pretend it's your "company" telling these things, as if you were a real kpop idol ˖ ᡣ𐭩 ⊹ ࣪

" The Rory Gilmore method"
this method is not very complex, but it has a lot of steps.
1. create a schedule - Rory is well-known for her strict schedule and commitment to sticking to it. To study like Rory, you should first make a timetable outlining your study time, your reading time, and free time. Include breaks in your schedule and try to follow it as much as you can.
2. lots of reading - Rory is an avid reader who always carries a book with her. Pick books that interest you and make reading a daily habit ( i recommend reading before bed because it helps me to calm down and helps me with falling asleep). Reading books will help you develop your vocabulary and critical thinking skills.
3. Take notes - Rory is well-known for her detailed notes and ability to retain new information. Take notes in class and annotate your books. Make your notes more structured by using highlithers and different colors, and review them daily. (goodnotes - ios, notion - ios and android are great for digital notes)
4. Make use of flashcards - Rory memorises stuff through flashcards. Flashcards can be used for vocabulary terms, key concepts, and other relevant information. Use them to test yourself and review regularly.
5. Define your goals - Rory has a set goal, what are you working for? Make a vision board, write down your goals, visualize. This will help you stay motivated and not loose focus!
6. stay organized - Rory is well-organized, and her study space is always neat and tidy. Keep your study area nice and free from distractions. Use folders, binders, and other tools to keep your notes and supplies organized, make sure your work space is clean and clutter-free.
7. seek help when needed - Rory is not afraid to ask for help when she needs it. Don't hesitate to ask for help from your teachers, tutors, or classmates if you need it. To enhance your learning, ask questions, and seek out extra resources such as textbooks, youtube videos, and study guides.
8. atmosphere - Don't forget to make the atmosphere cozy, light a candle, prepare yourself a cup of tea or coffee, and wear a comfy sweater. Create an environment in which you can stay focused for hours! ˖ ᡣ𐭩 ⊹ ࣪
