Unpopular opinion: All games should have the option to enable pausing.

And to save almost everywhere.

Yes even in soulslike games.

I am an adult who has a full time job and responsibilities. I get to play maybe an hour a week. I do not want to lose that hour of progress because devs decided 'pause' was not allowed in their game and I had sudden unexpected things come up that meant I had to quit the game without saving/leave it playing and hope enemies wouldn't respawn.

Also it would massively increase accessability. I have fully working non-injured hands and they still need a break after a tough boss fight. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for people with joint pain, arthritis, etc, etc.

Introducing the Doo Doo Save File - Version One!

Disclaimer:

This save is still very much a work in progress. While most things appear to be complete (such as builds), there's still a lot to be done. So, keep that in mind. Also, I tried my best to playtest everything, but this is a HUGE save. So, it's possible I missed things. If I did, feel free to let me know!

If you want the townies’ relationships to stay intact, I HIGHLY recommend downloading MCCC. If not, you shouldn’t have any issues playing the save, but some relationships will eventually be deleted due to the culling system. Instructions here!

I did use one piece of CC, but it is absolutely not required in order to download this save. It's the Modern Family Portrait by RAVASHEEN! Download only if you want some cute portraits of the families.

For this save, I grouped some of the worlds together. You don't have to play this way, it's just a note to consider:

HEY remember Normal Orchid Game? the eldritch horror/ flower breeding sim I was working on with my brother-in-law, and then abandoned de-prioritized?

due to some personal events, there's a new deadline - either it gets finished in 6 months, or else probably not at all, so! the work begins again!

everything is being re-coded by my BIL to work in Ren'Py, meaning it'll be more of a visual novel this time. before he was coding it all from scratch, which was super impressive, but also added a lot of difficulty. this time it'll be built on a pre-existing skeleton, which should speed things up.

crystal says "guys who make gay jokes are the biggest pussies" at least half for charles and edwin. because, look, crystal isn't stupid. she knows edwin probably doesn't know all that much about queerness, and she knows that charles definitely has internalized something. and so she knows, in the back of her mind, that if she lets this slide, then edwin is gonna just accept that. i mean, why wouldn't he? so, yeah, she has to call it out, because edwin is clearly a raging homosexual, and crystal will sooner stab a bitch than let charles have even the slightest potentially harmful thing to say about it.
