Someone asked me about something VinVeld related and I've been working on the response for two hours because I had to double check some terminology to explain the canonicity of them being partners, which led me down a rabbit hole on titles used amongst coworkers, which led me to check how often one title specifically shows up in the Japanese BC script, which led me to double checking that I remembered the honorifics used between characters and how that's super relevant to keep in mind when interpreting Veld and Vincent's short interaction—

This isn't even the question, it's just necessary information for me to be able to explain my take on the situation, because I don't want people to just take everything I say at face value without knowing where it came from.

Something silly I drew because I think Reiju would be a little bothered with the fact that Zoro and Sanji fight and insult each other constantly when she first sees their interactions.

Like, Zoro constantly insults and starts fights with Sanji and the thing is, she knows that Sanji can now hold his own (and that he also starts shit)! But this doesn't change the fact that she saw him being taunted and beaten up all his childhood, so she still feels a little irritated by Zoro's behavior and she worries about whether that could negatively affect her brother! (she simply doesn't know about their lore, you have to forgive her)

so. it’s Crunchy Chip?? right?? in Odyssey, they talked about how loyal they both are to their own kingdoms and that they never want to leave. both of them are very involved with the leaders of their kingdom and do not want to give up their roles. it would be very easy for Wildberry to think that they wouldn’t work out with that in mind. they’ve canonically been exchanging letters and getting closer since their departure in Odyssey

even Hollyberry takes notice of how close they’re getting. she’s even surprised by this!! and who knows how many more letters they’ve exchanged or how close they’ve really gotten?? we haven’t seen them together much at all since then

unless it’s someone off-screen/an NPC, the only canon character it can be is. Crunchy Chip???

I ship everyone with Yuu, but more Aceyuu and then Malleyuu, but Aceyuu is more canon than Malleyuu.

I want more moments of Ace worrying and taking care of Yuu.
