Holly got Artemis a full set of "Kiss me, I'm Irish" clothes (shirt, pants, hoodie, baseball cap, shoes, socks, pins), as a gag gift, giving him a peck on the cheek at Christmas.
However, this backfires because Artemis usually finds a way to wear at least one piece of "Kiss me, I'm Irish" clothing whenever she's around.

♪ — 𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗗𝗨𝗘 charles leclerc x fiance! reader ( fluff ) fic summary . . . pulling a tiktok prank on your poor fiance Charles, telling him you can't pay the land lord rent this month. it takes Charles a second to absorb and properly process that information (428 words)
Tumblr media

Tumblr media
You were curled up on the couch, scrolling through TikTok when a particular prank caught your eye. Wives telling their husbands, “I can’t pay rent this month,” just to see their reactions. The results were hilarious—men panicking, scrambling for their wallets, or losing their minds over financial responsibility.
It was perfect.
Charles was in the kitchen, making himself an espresso, completely unaware of your devious plan. You waited until he took a sip, ensuring maximum chaos.
You inhaled deeply, forcing your voice to tremble a little for dramatic effect.
“Charles . . . I can’t pay rent this month.”
His head snapped up so fast you thought he might get whiplash. “What?”
You bit your lip, pretending to be distraught. “I—I just don’t have enough. I’m sorry.”
Charles blinked rapidly, setting his cup down with a loud clink. “What do you mean you don’t have enough? Mon amour, you shouldn’t even be paying rent!” His voice pitched higher with every word, his accent thickening in his panic.
You pressed your lips together, trying not to laugh. “I just—I don’t know, I—”
“Who are you paying?” He was already reaching for his phone, his green eyes wide with genuine concern. “Who made you think you have to pay rent? Are they scamming you?”
“Uhh—”
Then, like a lightbulb flicking on, you saw it dawn on him. His eyes darted around the apartment, realization hitting him like a truck.
" . . . Wait.”
He ran a hand down his face, exhaling loudly. “Merde. I own this apartment—I'm the landlord.”
And just like that, the fear in his eyes disappeared—replaced by pure mischief. His lips curled into a slow, dangerous grin, and your stomach dropped.
“Charles—”
Too late.
He was already striding toward you, grabbing your arms and giving you a firm shake, just enough to make you giggle-scream.
“You—” Shake.
“Almost—” Shake.
“Gave me a heart attack!” Shake.
You were laughing uncontrollably now, trying to squirm away, but Charles wasn’t done. He cupped your face, his grip firm, and attacked you with a flurry of kisses—your cheeks, your forehead, your nose, your lips, everywhere.
“Stop doing this to me,” he muttered between kisses, his tone half-scolding, half-breathless laughter.
You gasped for air between giggles. “It was just a prank!”
“A prank that nearly killed me!” His lips were pressed against yours before you could protest, the kiss deep and almost aggressive—like he had to prove something. When he finally pulled away, his forehead rested against yours, both of you grinning.
“Promise me no more pranks,” he murmured.
You beamed up at him. “I promise.”
(You promised wrong)

Moonwater who accidentally bump into each other in the prefects bathroom every month. Remus goes in there to soothe his aches and pains near the full moon and Reg who does the same when it’s his time of the month.
And they’re both so stubborn like at first I imagine regulus walks in on Remus and Remus leaves. Quite grudgingly. The next month, Remus is having really bad pain and Regulus just assumes he’s also trans and that they’re just syncing up. So he’s like whatever, let’s just both stay.
And undresses in front of Remus because he thinks Remus is trans. Remus is soooo embarrassed at this cute boy undressing in front of him that he closes his eyes. Reg “not like it’s anything you haven’t seen already, but whatever. I’m in now, you can open your eyes.” Remus who gets hard just seeing Regulus’ shoulders. They sit in silence and when Regulus goes to get out Remus shuts his eyes again. (He can’t get out first because he doesn’t want Sirius’ little brother to see he’s hard.)
This happens every night that week, and they sit in silence. Eventually they get more comfortable and start reading their books in the tub, and start talking literature (god I love nerdy moonwater).
On the last day that Reg plans to be there until the next month, he lets Remus borrow one of his books that he’d mentioned wanting to read. So over the next month whenever he sees Remus around Hogwarts they share small smiles and he sees Remus constantly reading it.
Remus putting sticky notes with his thoughts on all the pages refusing to write in the book.
The next month he returns it with all his little notes and that whole week they talk about it. Remus goes to the bath for the few days before AND after the full. This moon was particularly bad on his joints, and even if he doesn’t get many scraps and cuts anymore thanks to the Marauders he’s in tons of pain.
The day after the full, regulus notices how in pain he is and how he can barely move and he washes his hair for him. Maybe gives him a shoulder massage.
Talks softly to him about the book he’s reading or maybe even reads TO HIM.
At the end of the week, Remus gives Regulus a book to read and the same process happens. Sticky notes, eye contact, HEAVY tension. Reg begins slipping notes to him when he can about his thoughts on the book.
Next month they’re sitting there again and Reg is in terrible pain. Remus washes his hair, it’s terribly domestic. Remus definitely thinks Reg is a werewolf.
Idk how he brings it up. I think it would take him a while to get the courage. Or maybe Reg brings up being trans first. I think that could cause some good angst because Reg would say something about how horrible periods are and Remus would be confused and Reg would think oh my god I’m wrong? And be embarrassed and feel awful and think he’s been betrayed basically. He’s definitely running the fuck out of there.
The next month is filled with them staring at the each other all the time. Remus tries to talk to him a couple times but he refuses. Full moon rolls around and Remus doesn’t show up to the bathroom, which makes Reg think he was fucking with him. Until he learns that Remus is in the infirmary, possibly from James or Sirius. This could be after the prank for maximum angst effect or not.
Regulus realizes Remus is a werewolf. Like putting it all together. That he wasn’t lying or faking anything. When Remus is out of the infirmary Regulus passes him a note saying to meet him in the bathroom, which it isn’t even a full moon and Remus is so confused because at this point Regulus has avoided him and now he’s going off script.
Either way, he goes. Regulus is already lounging in the tub just his head visible above the bubbles and tells Remus to get in, but Remus asks wtf is going on. They have it out with Regulus lying naked in the tub and Remus fully clothed just standing there. A lot of confessions happen. They open up about life as a werewolf and life as a trans person. Healthy communication OF COURSE. They would find it really funny, afterwards.
Remus would probably make a joke about them being like one of the couples in their books they shared (a couple that had a silly miscommunication then fucked crazy style about it afterwards) and Regulus would pop up out of the water JUST enough to show his shoulders and he’d lean over the side of the tub and say “oh JUST like them?” Remus would blush at the implication and probably get half hard just seeing Regulus’ shoulders again. He’s a simple man.
Regulus ends up telling him to get in again, and Remus flustered and embarrassed is like “but I have to ??? Take my clothes off?? If you could uhhh look away? If you want to not see that???”
Regulus is like maybe I want to see you strip for me?
so cut to Remus who is so so embarrassed and flushed and shaking a little starts to strip while Regulus watches him sooooo hungrily. Remus obviously has a huge dick btw, but we all knew that.
Regulus just stares at him the whole time practically drooling, especially when he sees Remus' huge cock. Regulus "are you all hard for me baby?" Black.
When Remus gets into the tub Regulus is on him IMMEDIATELY like I know he wouldn't be able to hold himself back. Remus submissive top Lupin who lays back against the side of the tub as Regulus power bottom black rides him until he comes inside him, and then continues riding him until he gets off, making Remus come again. Remus being a cute overstimulated mess and Regulus calling him his good boy with the huge cock and humiliates him WHILE praising him like "oh you're so dumb for me aren't you baby? just gonna lay there and take what i give you right? my big dumb baby letting me fuck myself on his huge cock. you don't even know how to use it, need me to help you, don't you baby?"
Remus would just nod and agree and beg for Regulus to use him, with tears in his eyes from how good it feels and how overstimulated he is.
anyway yeah itd go something like that

(forecaster voice) idk, it's been a very wet season for perry. between mono's mean pranks and the bayou swimming scene and all. i really love him swimming upstream in the waterpark ep, the "what are you, part salmon?". cuz i like when perry uses swimming techniques from other animals. like, no normal plat swims using their tail as propulsion. but perry is a freak who uses all his body parts for maximum effectiveness, treats himself like a weapon that way. its hot

SEEDS Security Codes and Why They Matter
Tumblr media
So, I've been thinking about one of the details in Trigun: Stampede that was not present in either '98 or the manga. In '98, Knives just hacking into the SEEDS codes was left as-is. He walked up to Captain Joey and shot him and apparently took his pilot's seat. Did the Captain have the navigation open at the time? Was it closed and Knives had to do some hacking? Anyway, there, he did it on his own. Now, in Trigun Maximum, which treats Vash and Knives' childhood differently (just Rem there raising them), there is a foreshadowing of what is to come. In Volume 6, Rem is depicted waking up to an emergency signal in the middle of her sleeping-hours. (Aw, she sleeps in her regular clothes, mom-jeans and all...). Panicked, she yells at Knives for him and Vash to lock themselves in their rooms and not to come out or speak up for ANY reason, even if they hear voices outside. She tries to handle the situation, but it goes from bad to worse and the automatic crew-wakening protocol goes into effect, which she is very concerned about (for reasons that we who have read the manga know about)!
Tumblr media
In the beginning of Volume 7 the crew wakes up, there's a situation-update. The ships are going off-course and will collide if things are not corrected. They're working through the issues and suddenly, there's an unknown factor that kicks in to correct the course. Rem then gets the crew all settled back in again for nappy-time... And proceeds immediately to Vash and Knives, where she scolds Knives with (Rem's angry mom-face, my beloved)! Knives was playing around with the ship codes and systems. He'd apparently hacked his way into the system and was curious about SEEDS' functions. (One would assume that Rem changed some of the codes after this, but I bet they were in some kind of hacking-war, with her trying to stay one step above curious Plant-twins). Knives did not mean to nearly cause a catastrophe, but this shows that he can and is a foreshadowing to when he DOES mean to cause one later. Now, in Trigun Stampede, it is stated by Nai / Knives that Vash gave him the ship-codes, also that he spent a lot of time and trouble changing the codes for every human ship. (The manga lists the ship they are born on as the Mothership, presumably guiding the entire fleet, in Stampede, it is just Ship 5, which implies multiple guides with multiple navigators). I am wondering where Studio Orange is going with this. Will it be a situation like the manga where the kids are just playing around? Little prank-war with Rem? Maybe Vash is sharing a ship code innocently, as part of their games? Or is it going to be darker, more sinister? I wonder if Vash was originally of the thought of "maybe we need to crash the ships and kill all humans (except Rem) because they're scary and dangerous because of what happened to Tesla" and then had a change of heart and backed out of it? - I can see that happening... him having his cathartic alone-time with Rem as in the manga and then talking things out with Nai and thinking that they weren't going to go through with it. And then Nai betrays him. I've been wondering about the guilt Vash carries over the Big Fall in Stampede. Is it an unnecessary, undue guilt like he seems to have about a lot of things? Or is there a guilt born from "I had originally planned disaster / we had originally planned disaster" and it came true even after he'd backed out? It's just that... in both '98 and Maximum, he does carry his cross (that is not Wolfwood's), but he seems to feel less specifically guilty over this (the Big Fall). He's really more like "Knives, how could you do this to everyone / Rem?!" He just seems more guilt-ridden in Stampede than in the other media and I am wondering if there is a dark secret behind it. I can see it going either way.

🎄✨𝓐𝓭𝓿𝓮𝓷𝓽 𝓢𝓮𝓻𝓲𝓮𝓼 𝓝𝓻. 𝓕𝓲𝓯𝓽𝓮𝓮𝓷✨🎄
𝓟𝓻𝓸𝓶𝓹𝓽: Christmas Crafts
𝓐𝓵𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓷𝓪𝓽𝓮: RF, Reboot and Opposite
𝓣𝔂𝓹𝓮: Short Story (No warnings)
𝓞𝓹𝓮𝓷 𝓽𝓸𝓭𝓪𝔂'𝓼 𝓭𝓸𝓸𝓻!
Tumblr media
RF had fallen asleep in the living room.  Perhaps pulling an all-nighter on paperwork there wasn't such a great idea. As he was about to learn.
He was slumped over the low coffee table, crammed between said table and the couch in what was probably the most uncomfortable sleeping position known to mankind.
Or puppetkind in this case...
The next morning Reboot and Opposite wer the first ones to come down the stairs, eager for some early morning snacks. They didn't talk to each other. Opposite was still processing the trauma of waking up and Reboot, knowing how to read his eternal scowl by now, knew better than to challenge his temper.
As they passed the open living room door on their way to the kitchen Reboot caught sight of RF, who was still out cold. More specifically: His outstretched arm with the prosthetic hand on it, which his head was resting on.
Reboot stopped and stared for a while, while Opposite continued on. The tired cogs in his brain began to turn slowly, a devious prank idea forming in his teenager mind. Slowly, a smirk crept onto his features, lavender eyes twinkling with mirth.
His head whipped to the side, in Opposite's direction. Quickly and quietly he caught up to his grumpy friend.
Opposite was currently staring into the open fridge, debating and critiquing the available snack options in his head. There was a small jar with a single eye floating in some liquid ontop of a small box with snacks in it, that had Mob's name written on it.
What the hell, Mob-
The moment Opposite glanced at the snackbox, the eye in the jar flicked around, focusing on him. Ew. Now he had effectively lost his appetite. Opposite shut the fridge door, revealing a grinning Reboot.
He sized him up with narrowed eyes. "What?", he grumbled, patience already running thin.
Reboot's grin widened. "You wanna prank RF?"
<^> <^> <^>
A small search for craft supplies later, the devious duo quietly huddled down in front of the sleeping RF. Obnoxiously blinking Christmas lights, other corny decorative items and lots of super glue was gathered on the table.
While Reboot had trouble to keep his snickering at bay, Opposite was an image of stoic indifference. Probably the most positive expression you could get from him in this situation. Secretly he was totally into this prank, but he would never express that.
Reboot picked up the super glue and Opposite started handing him different little angel, reindeer, elf and Santa figurines. Together they bedazzled RF's prosthetic with them, gluing them onto every free spot possible.
Once that was done, they tied small bells to each of his fingers and stuffed tinsel into the tiny gaps between the figurines. Lastly they wound the blinking Christmas lights around his prosthetic hand as well.
What a wonderfully festive eyesore they had created. :)
Reboot, still grinning like an idiot, admired their handiwork. Hm... What else could they do for maximum annoyance?
RF hadn't even stirred once during their endeavours. They could probably take this a little further...
And they did.
In the end, the 6'11 feet tall grinch they pranked, was wearing a fir-garland as a scarf and fake antlers.
When Reboot adjusted the antlers on RF's head though, the sleeping giant began to stir awake.
Reboot and Opposite panicked quietly and snuck out of the room as fast as they could without making too much noise.
RF's crimson eyes blinked slowly. Feeling as grumpy as ever, he wondered why his back hurt so terribly. Ugh, he was getting old... His feet were also fast asleep. Why though?
Shifting uncomfortably, he remembered where he was. Ah fuck, he shouldn't have slept like this. Now his back would complain the entire rest of the day.
He sat up properly, still groggy. Just then he realized there was something on his head and something itchy around his neck.
Huh?!
He wanted to reach up with his left hand to yank the thing from his head. That's when he realized he had been pranked.
"What the-?!"
RF stared in anger and disbelief at his sabotaged hand. He tried shaking the obnoxious Christmas stuff off, but it only caused the tinsel to rustle and bells to jingle joyfully.
He shook harder.
"What the fuck is this?!?" RF yelled in frustration. He heard muffled laughter from upstairs.
Oh, that was it!! He'd catch the perpatrators and beat the living daylights out of them with his oh so wonderfully decorated prosthetic-
He shot up and marched towards the stairs.
They better start running.

I LOVE those Junker bios and backstories! Are you planning on doing more? Maybe the Overwatch agents?
Oh absolutely!! I've technically done a couple descriptions on how some Overwatch agents would be but they weren't deep dives, it'll also probably take longer then the Junker characters cause there are a lot more Overwatch characters then Junkers. Also because of the fact that the Overwatch and Talon groups have more cinematics and comics I will probably be referencing them in a Mirrorwatch context for some of the descriptions.
Anyway might as well get into it here.
-----------------------
Doomfist - Strike Commander Ogundimu
Honestly he's the easiest to describe as we already know a lot about him from voice lines and interviews. Though his history is still largely unknown, we know that his motivation is largely the same, just changed to the strong must protect the weak. I also think that in this universe, Akande isn't the third Doomfist, but the second, being chosen by Adhabu Ngumi to be his successor. This version of Adhabu Ngumi likely being MW!Overwatch's first strike commander. Personality wise I think he's pretty much the same but a lot more heroic. I think an in game example that would be a good reference is Bonebreaker, another alternate Doomfist who's also a hero. Though despite this more heroic Doomfist, I still think he would have been arrested. Mainly because I doubt that he would have respected the Petras Act, likely continuing his Overwatch work.
Widowmaker - Captain Lacroix
Like Doomfist Amelie is easy to do as we have voice lines for her. We know that she has a high focus of justice and retribution, we know she was close with Ramattra, that her Gerard is still alive (either still an agent or retired) and that her eye was likely shot out by Ana. Interestingly though, she seemed to have a close connection to Sam, which makes sense as Sam and Gerard likely worked together on diplomacy, though it is also likely that Ana trained Amelie in this universe. As the voice lines that Amelie has with Ana not only imply that Ana worked for Overwatch before Talon but they also have an inflection that implies a previous close relationship between the two. It's also shown that Sombra and Amelie are close in this universe as well, and considering that Sombra and Cassidy likely switched places, I like to think that both Amelie and Gerard were both Blackwatch agents at some point. Personality wise I think this version of Amelie is a lot goofier, making spider puns and maybe even helping Sombra with pranks. I also think she's incredibly stubborn and loyal, an absolute beast on the field but her care for the people around her can cause her to hesitate, hence why she lost her eye. Though what's interesting is that Amelie chose to get a prostetic eye and has seemingly gotten augmentations on the other eye as well. Which makes it seems she's insecure in her abilities as a sniper.
Sombra - Agent Olivia Colomar
Sombra most likely started off as a Blackwatch agent, taken in after Overwatch conducted a sting operation against Los Muertos. I still think that she would find out about "The Conspiracy" but that would be something she discovered after Zurich. Likely resulting in her going off the grid until Doomfist was broken out. As I said before she's close with Amelie but I also think she would be close with Echo in this timeline too, recognizing that the learning AI that she has is learning more then just battle tactics. I don't think much would change about her personality wise, she would likely be less prone to blackmail but even that's a stretch.
Echo - Stealth Unit
Created by a Mina Liao that had full given up on recreating the sentience that Aroura had. MW!Echo would have been strictly made for combat, but still using a highly advanced learning AI for maximum efficacy. An unintended side effect of this was that Echo's learning capabilities eventually progressed past battle strategies. This lead to Echo having a more clinical and straight forward personality, not being as excited to learn but intrigued by what else she could be capable of. She was likely still quarantined after Zurich but was saved from Talon hands by Ashe.
Reaper - Gabriel Reyes
I think that the original strike team was likely still the same for Mirrorwatch, especially with the knowledge that Ana was with Overwatch at some point and Reinhardt is being implied to be brainwashed. Though I do think that with Jack and Gabe specifically they immediately joined Talon after the Crisis. Reyes loosing faith in changing the system during the crisis because of public reaction towards Overwatch during the crisis. However that changed as he watch what Overwatch turned into, bringing in pepole like Ashe and Sombra, giving them a chance at a different life. What also helped was his connection to Cassidy, even if their dynamic was strained because of their environment, they were still close, and because of that Reyes has always felt guilt about what he helped Cassidy turn into. That was a big motivation as to why Reyes defected from Talon, seeking out Overwatch to make up for all the pain he caused. During this escape however, Jack chased him down and during the altercation an explosion happened that presumably killed Jack (it didn't, Jack just saw Gabe's defection as a good sign to retire), and left Gabe incredibly wounded. Even with being a super soldier, the wounds were too much. That's when Moira found him and helped him the best she could, but it was not an easy process and Reyes was left permanently changed. It took years for the side affect of Moira's impromptu treatment to be dealt with to the point where Reyes wasn't in excruciating pain all the time. When he was treated though, he immediately set off to right his wrongs, his first act in redemption was saving Dr. Siebren de Kuiper from a Talon abduction with the help of Agent Colomar.
Moira - Head of Medical/Field Medic O'deorain
Moira was made Overwatch's head of Medical soon after Akande took the title of Strike Commander. Which was something that surprised her as her medical research was considered controversial, though those who said that often ignored the key detail that all experiments, she used herself as the test subject. Moira is a person who is fully in the belief that even if she doesn't have the time to be entitled to patience, her research will live on and eventually be picked up by someone else. She is highly aware of recovery time and often dissuades un-needed surgeries because of this. This is a problem when it comes to Amelie as she believes that she needs more augmentations to keep up with Ana and other Talon operatives, a sentiment only increased by Ramattra's death. Moira holds a lot of guilt for the things she's had to do with Overwatch, mainly being forced to do experimental treatments that resulted in less the good side effects.
Sigma - Dr. Siebren de Kuiper
Sigma's story would mostly be the same except he was saved by Overwatch instead of captured by Talon Talon. Which would lead to his mind and abilities being a lot more stable. I think he would still be close with Sombra as well as Hammond, but with the addition of him genuinely being close with Moira and Reaper. I don't think he'd go into the field that often, his powers still being unstable, but he does help out where he can. When he does go into the field though he mostly tries to protect his teammates and assets in civilian rescue.
Mauga - Ecopoint Liberator
I think this Mauga would be largely the same personality wise however morality would be very different, specifically I think this version of Mauga turned against the Deepsea Raiders and helped liberate the Samoan Ecopoint. That becoming his home base until Sombra got in contact with him and asked him to join Overwatch. I like to think that in this universe Mauga and Bapiste meet but it's while Baptiste is undercover trying to get information on what's happening with the Ecopoint to Talon. Mauga being a good way in.
Wrecking Ball - Hammond
Hammond is the same as Winston, basically just Hammond but he landed in Gibraltar instead of Australia. Though one this to consider is that Hammond likely struggled to get the same rights Winston did in canon, due to the fact that Hammond is a hamster and can't talk the same way the Winston can. Hammond becoming an Overwatch agent likely causing more outrage. Also because of this I think Hammond would have been made more of a mascot by the public the Winston was. Hammond most likely hating this. Basically Hammond is motivated to do good because that's what the people around him do, his friends want to do good, want to save people. So he'll follow their lead because even if he doesn't care for the general public, he cares about his friends.
Ashe
I've talked about Ashe a bit already but to summerise it, Ashe's parents where likely into more illegal dealings even before Ashe started her gang, which caused them to act differently when it came to Ashe lashing out. They manipulated her into thinking they had changed their ways and were becoming better people, which lead to Ashe betraying the other Deadlocks and going back to her parents. Which as you can tell, was a bad choice. After Ashe had basically cut off her entire support network Ashe's parents basically became worse then they were before, firing B.O.B and getting Ashe heavily involved with the family business. All the while still not paying her any mind as their daughter, now more as a nuisance they needed to keep an eye on. Until Overwatch took her parents down and offered Ashe a position in Blackwatch. Where she also reunited with B.O.B and Frankie. Ashe lives with a lot of guilt for her past action, guilt only increased when Blackwatch started getting invloved with Talon and she saw what became of Cassidy.

I know why people say aypierre is an alpha, he certainly gives the vibe, but to me he is 100% the omega that is just so confident everyone assumes he's an alpha.
He makes elaborate builds, literally wanted to create everything for the kids he thought he was gonna have with maxo (nest), and in general gives me that vibe.
Plus I think it would be funny if everyone assumed he was an alpha and he just never corrected them cause..why not? Sounds like a fun prank for a while and bad totally plays into it for maximum effect.
wait i love this?? And fuck the angst potential of him building what is basically a giant nest for his future family just for Maxo to die :(
And yes, Bad would definitely feed into it, he thinks its funny

Hello! I just reinstalled FEH after a few years (I dropped off during Book 4), and someone pointed me to your blog for help with figuring out the newer skills because DEAR GOD
I’m going to start digging through your posts, but if you take requests(?), I’d really appreciate a breakdown of how Smol Chrobin’s kit works because it consistently takes me 2-3 teams to take them down in Tempest Trials, my old blue mage haters don’t seem to work on them, and I have no idea why or what I should be doing better.
hiiii thank you for your ask!
you seem to have encountered the problem of duo f!robin being Unfair.
luckily you have some things going for you !
1) the youngins cannot counter at 1 range, if you smack with a strong melee unit you should be able to take em out
2) a good far save can take One hit and get some good damage on duo robin
there are also quite a few things against you
1) threat range is larger than you think due to getting another action after using reposition + orders warping
2) has after combat healing + healing with flare
3) hits like a truck
4) stupid fast ... if you haven't played for a while most if not all of your units will get doubled
...
the tldr of young chrobin kit
after using reposition buffs self. gets atk/spd stat stack , extra damage , and canto 1. also after reposition debuffs any of your units within 3 rows and 3 columns . has tempo to make sure you get pranked by special. also has a really stupid "solve for X" stat stack formula which in short gives more stats if foe is equipped with low cd special. also gets bonus damage from multiple parts of kit.
for the long explanation ...
duo chrobin prf weapon has a stupidly long description so lets see if i can break it down in a way that makes sense
duo chrobin has a exclusive debuff called "hush spectrum". the effects of hush spectrum are as follows:
1) afficted units get -5 to all stats in combat
2) afflicted units get affected by scowl at start of combat. (scowl is special cd +1 at start of combat. this happens before your first attack and regardless of who initiates. this means even if you attack with a pre charged special you will not be able to activate it on your first attack. scowl does not affect aoe specials or defensive specials)
hush spectrum is a mid turn debuff and activates after duo chrobin uses an assist skill. this will occur practically every turn in practice due to duo chrobin getting a second action (similar to legendary chrom's "to change fate") after using an assist. using an assist will also grant special cd -1 to duo chrobin allowing them to easily precharge specials.
as for other effects of the weapon, duo chrobin gets 30% pierceable damage reduction on first hit (similar to skills like remote sparrow) as well as a bonus to all stats.
feh is making you do algebra here so the formula for the stat bonus is as follows:
X = 16 - (foes maximum special cd x2) min 8
in practice the stat stack is:
+14 to all stats vs foe with 1 cd special , +12 for 2 cd , +10 for 3 cd and so on.
important to note that the current weapon description is incorrect and states that this formula is for stat debuffs on foe rather than in combat stat buff for duo chrobin. the feh twitter account stated that this would be corrected in a future update.
as for the rest of the kit...
reposition is a standard movement assist
flare is a relatively new infantry mage locked special (released with brave soren in ... august ?) it has a dynamic effect based on the user's hp when special activates.
if hp is at or above 70%, increases damage based on 60% of foe's res stat. if hp is below 70%, increases damage by 40% of foe's res stat AND heals for 30% of max hp. unlike skills like sol and aether which heal for a percentage of damage dealt, flare heals a flat 30% regardless of amount of damage dealt.
the damage increase from flare is incredibly variable making it less reliable than specials like glimmer. however, flare is a high scoring special in arena and the healing has some use case.
duo chrobin has a prf A slot skill called "Fell wyrmscale." this skill has a bunch of effects that only trigger if units hp is at or above 25% at the START of combat. (meaning that if you start below 25%, heal to above 25% with flare, you still do not receive the effects). the effects of fell wyrmscale are as follows:
1) grants unit +8 to all stats in combat (woo ! no solving for X this time)
2) deals bonus damage = 15% of unit's atk (in practice this is generally around 8-12 damage)
3) fully pierces damage reduction when special triggers (does NOT apply to flat damage reduction from sources like laguz friend 4 or brave dimitri's weapon refine. also does not apply to defensive specials or to damage reduction from specials like armored floe/beacon. also does not apply to the damage reduction provided by emblem ike's engage effect)
4) heals 7 hp after combat
i miss when prf skills were simple...
duo chrobin's b slot skill is atk/spd link 4 which provides buffs to unit and minor debuffs to foe in combat after using a MOVEMENT assist (will not apply after using rallies) the effects granted by atk spd link are as follows:
1) grants visible atk/spd +6 buff. (this visible buff means that after receiving it, unit is ineligible to receive additional atk/spd buffs provided by sources like rally atk/spd+)
2) grants canto (1) to unit and ally targeted by the movement assist
3) inflicts atk/spd -4 and def/res -2 on foe in combat
4) (more solve for X sorry) grants + X bonus damage where X = highest bonus on atk+spd among unit and allies with canto (1) active. (in practice, X usually = 12) (bonus damage does not apply to aoe specials)
luckily, the C slot skill is rather simple in comparison. inf. null follow 4 grants null follow up effect to unit and infantry allies within 2 spaces. also grants unit "orders" warping (orders warping gets its name from the skill "ground orders" allows unit to warp to a space adjacent to any ally within 2 spaces.)
i am sorry that this unit is Unfair and i am sorry for the current state of feh. i hope this explanation is thorough but if there are any terms that i did not explain feel free to comment or send another ask.

what kinds of pranks do Sonic and Scourge do?
Pretends to be good at coming up with pranks for the sake of this ask
Honestly just think of every time Sonic has pretended to be dead or that a situation is hopeless, only to turn around and be like "lol bitch u thought". And then make it worse. Because those are their absolute favourite kind of pranks. Scourge's presence just makes everything worse because he'll think of ways to make it look more realistic. Poor Tails has a very vivid memory of Scourge coming home one day after a battle, ears flat against his skull, carrying a bruised and bloodied and lifeless Sonic in his arms, growling a choked-out explanation about how Robotnik... Sonic couldn't - that bastard is going to pay for what he...
And he lays Sonic on the sofa, disappearing elsewhere into the base, making small noises like he's about to start crying. And Tails is distraught and starts shaking Sonic, begging him to wake up, tearing up when he receives no response, and he's just taking a breath to start wailing-
And then Sonic screams "RAH!" and grabs him and Tails shrieks so loud it rattles the windows, and from the next room he can hear Scourge laughing his ass off. Fucker left the room in the first place not because he was crying, but because he was laughing
Tails sulked for a week straight about falling for that trick again and Sonic and Scourge were told to clean the damn fake blood off the sofa and off the floor (which they didn't do)
Those are the kind of shitty pranks they pull. Not the only kind of pranks they'll pull, they'll also steal Tekno's stuff while she's working to confuse her, she's sure she put that screwdriver around here somewhere, or they'll place important things in difficult to reach places and replace them with taunting notes, or (like you mentioned in your previous ask) will drop paint on someone. They especially like dropping paint on people. But occasionally pretending to fail a mission, or pretending that one of them is dead, is their favourite type of prank, although they don't do it often in order to keep it at maximum effect

How possible is it to have airplanes with many decks and lots of fancy amenities like swimming pools and gyms? What would I need to think about? I got the idea from a prank from a UAE airline that announced one. Prank it may be but it sounds absolutely amazing to put in my world on a fictional planet.
Tex: Building an airplane is a lot like building a ship on water, so the basic architectural work-arounds usually work the same. I’m not sure about a gym - the equipment might have maximum weight requirements, and also to store them in bolted-down containers when not in active use - but a reasonably small pool could be built into a gyroscopic container, so that splashing over the sides is less likely. There might also be drainage areas for the pool, so the water that does get splashed over is quickly handled.
Addy: How long are people going to be spending in these planes? Most long flights top out at around 12 hours (though some ultra-long-haul flights are headed towards a top time of 16 hours). Ultimately, unless you've got anti-grav, keeping that much weight in the air is going to be pretty difficult.
In terms of shape, planes are kinda like submarines with wings, but the difference in density (water vs air) means that your carrying capacities end up very different. Say you have three Olympic-sized swimming pools. One is filled with water, one is filled with peanut butter, and one is filled with whipped cream. Take three large pieces of plywood (say 2m by 2m, or about 6ft by 6ft) and float one of them on each pool. Now take weights and put those weights on top of the pieces of plywood. Which one will hold the most weight before sinking?
The kind of scenario you're thinking of is going to be very, very heavy. Multiple decks, gyms, pools, gardens… every step adds more weight. F = ma. The more mass you have, the more force it's going to take to get up to speed. More force means more fuel and more engines.
Honestly, I'd recommend going for a blimp. You don't need to stop for fuel like you do for a plane (you need some fuel, sure, but not nearly as much or as often… you can go a week on a blimp for less fuel than it takes for a commercial 767 to just leave the runway!), so people will have more time to spend at various amenities. Since you're going at a lower speed, it also means that you don't run into the same drag effects (at high speeds, moving through air is like moving through molasses – that's why SR-71 Blackbirds have such a small profile, or why bullet trains have such long noses).
It's like throwing a dart (or shooting an arrow) vs throwing a beach ball. The storage stuff that Tex mentioned still absolutely applies, but a blimp will at least be easier to get into the sky.

Higurashi: Abducted by Demons Chapter 4
I guess the killers were the friends we made along the way.
This is the last exposition-heavy chapter of the arc. Ooishi explains how Hinamizawa was formerly known as Onigafuchi and village tradition says demons wandered the village and would hunt humans. Furthermore, each victim has some connection to one of Keiichi's friends.
Rena was the only one who didn't have any connection to one of the victims. Instead, Ooishi brought up how she once destroyed every window at her school and how she frequently mentioned Oyashiro-sama during her evaluations.
Knowing nothing else and if I were to treat this as a supernatural case, it sounds like Keiichi's friends are engaged in demonic rituals harking back to the old traditions of their village. Meanwhile, Rena is possessed by Oyashiro.
Rena is mentioned to suffer dysautonomia. According to Wikipedia, it's a disorder where the autonomic nervous system (ANS) doesn't work properly. The ANS is responsible for regulating certain automated functions in the body such as heartrate, digestion, breathing, and urination. Dysautonomia seems to be a blanket disorder. Different people can have different symptoms due to different parts of the ANS not working properly.
Rena's on medications for it so that might be the reason, but I don't think she shows any symptoms for it in the series. Since they're all physical traits, maybe something will come up if we get her perspective.
Now that we have all the information about the murders, and Ooishi has implied Keiichi is the next target, the story goes full horror.
Tumblr media
They know all, they see all, and Keiichi is going to do as they say.
And then the needle.
Tumblr media
The story is no longer about Keiichi trying to solve the murder mystery. It's about Keiichi trying to not be the next victim.
The author, Karin Suzuragi, did an excellent job using the manga media format to maximum effect on both of the horror bits on this chapter. Both the scene where Mion and Rena's eyes change and the scene where blood comes out of Keiichi's mouth were on the right pages. The previous pages before set up the scenes and get us in one mindset and then we turn the pages and the mood is suddenly shifted as we're hit by these full-page images of things that should not follow what we saw on the previous page.
back
Spoiler Discussion
First thing I need to mention is Mion's sister works at the restaurant Keiichi and Ooishi went to. So Mion likely knew about that meeting because Shion snitched.
Now let's have a cold read of Mion and Rena's discussion with Keiichi. They're aware Keiichi skipped school and was hanging out with Ooishi and at some point, Keiichi made a loud outburst.
Their words, with no context, sounds like they're just being super nosy. They heard Keiichi's been hanging out with some old man and they want to know all the gossip. And Mion's "warning" to not miss school tomorrow can just be read as a genuine concern. She just genuinely doesn't want him to miss school.
As for the needle, it can just be the manga format, but there's no panel showing Keiichi actually spat anything out. He just notices blood coming out of his mouth and then looks in his palm. That needle is also super clean.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And during the buildup to the needle, he mentions there is something in the ohagi but the blood doesn't happen until he suddenly thinks about how Rena and Mion looked to him.
Also, ohagi is made from sweet rice and coated in RED bean paste.
My guess is Rena's ohagi had hot sauce or something spicy in it as a prank. Keiichi tasted it and he hallucinated the taste as blood. And the blood itself is either whatever sauce was slipped in or maybe the red bean paste itself.
What kind of shot was the doctor going to give Keiichi? I wonder.

Because they make up everything! What’s the best thing about Switzerland? Not sure, but the flag is a big plus. I told my wife she was drawing her eyebrows too high. She looked surprised. They’d crack each other up!” For Monday mornings: “I told my boss I was late because I was having breakfast at a friend’s house. He said, ‘That’s no excuse.’ I said, ‘Have you seen the price of breakfast these days?'” When making plans: “Did you hear about the restaurant on the moon? Great food, no atmosphere.” After a mistake: “I accidentally installed a virus on my computer. I don’t think it was too serious though. All it did was change my home page to ‘You’re an idiot.com.'” For rainy days: “What do you call a wet bear? A drizzly bear.” During work meetings: “My boss told me to have a good day. These quick jokes work perfectly for text messages when you want to brighten someone’s day without a lengthy setup. What do kids play when their mom is using the phone? Bored games. What does a storm cloud wear under his raincoat? Thunderwear. Puns That Work Perfectly in Text Form We’ve found that puns translate exceptionally well to text format, letting the reader appreciate the wordplay at their own pace. These clever jokes showcase your witty side while guaranteeing at least a groan or eye-roll from the recipient. Russian dolls are so full of themselves. Funny Text Message Pranks to Play on Friends Taking our humor beyond the one-liners, we’ve put together some clever text message pranks that’ll leave your friends both confused and amused. These pranks add an extra layer of fun to your digital interactions and create memorable moments. The Mysterious Message: Send a cryptic message that seems important but doesn’t make sense, like “It’s done. They’re coming.” Wait for their confused reply before revealing it was a joke. The Deep Conversation Starter: Initiate a profound topic and then suddenly shift to something mundane. For example, start discussing existentialism and end with a question about sandwich fillings. Late Night Texts: Send a series of texts late at night, pretending you just woke up and remembered something urgent. When they respond, act like nothing is wrong. Classic “Who Is This?” Text Pranks The timeless “Who is this?” prank never fails to create confusion and entertainment. We’ve found these variations particularly effective at generating bewildered responses from friends. Mysterious Identity: Pretend you’re someone they’ve forgotten, like a classmate from years ago. Maintain the charade for a few messages. Foreign Number: Claim you’re calling from a different country, citing area codes or international numbers that might confuse them. Business Call: Act as if you’re from a company they’ve never heard of, asking about a non-existent order or service. Auto-Correct Fail Imitations That Always Work Auto-correct fails create some of the most hilarious text message moments. We can intentionally create these “accidents” for guaranteed laughs. Embarrassing Auto-Correction: Pretend your phone autocorrected a message to something embarrassing, like “I love you” instead of “I love dogs.” Unintentional Word Swaps: Act like your phone changed a word to something absurd, such as “I’m going to the store” becoming “I’m going to the zoo.” Silly Predictive Text: Use predictive text to an extreme, like “I’m at home” becoming “I’m at Hogwarts” after a series of auto-completed words. Text Message Jokes for Different Occasions Birthday Text Jokes That Actually Make People Smile Birthday text jokes combine celebratory themes with playful teasing to create memorable messages. Research shows these jokes work best when they’re short and enhanced with festive emoticons like 🎉 or 😂 to convey tone effectively. Try sending “Don’t count the candles—just enjoy the glow. (Unless you’re using them to light the cake… then maybe count them. 🔥🎂)” to your birthday friends. These messages create a perfect balance between acknowledging the occasion and keeping things lighthearted without dwelling on age-related anxieties. Monday Morning Motivation Jokes Monday morning humor serves as a perfect cognitive boost to start the week. Studies indicate that jokes actually aid focus by triggering positive emotions, with research linking joke comprehension to faster mental processing. Send a text like “Monday: The day when even coffee needs coffee. ☕→💤→😅” to lighten the mood of colleagues or friends struggling with the beginning of the workweek. These humorous messages acknowledge the universal Monday struggle while providing a small mental break that improves focus and productivity. Weekend Humor to Share with Friends Weekend jokes typically rely on exaggerated relief or absurdity to celebrate free time. Homophone puns and situational comedy work particularly well in this context, making them perfect for group chats or individual messages. Share something like “Weekend plans: Doing nothing with 100% enthusiasm. 🛋️🍕🎬” to connect with friends about mutual downtime. These messages often perform best with emoticons that clarify the tone, especially when using sarcasm about ambitious weekend plans versus reality. Texts following the setup-punchline format optimize these jokes for quick consumption during busy weekend activities. Emoji-Based Text Jokes That Transcend Language Barriers Emojis have revolutionized how we communicate humor in text messages, creating laughter that crosses language barriers. Research shows that messages containing emojis, particularly the “Face with tears of joy” 😂, are perceived as significantly more humorous than plain text messages. These visual symbols add emotional context, convey sarcasm, and completely transform the meaning of text-based jokes, making them universally relatable regardless of the recipient’s native language. Clever Emoji Combinations That Tell a Joke Emoji combinations create storytelling opportunities that words alone cannot achieve. Studies on multimodal humor reveal that students from diverse linguistic backgrounds successfully use emoji sequences to create allusions, similes, and irony in their communications. For example: 🧠💭💡➡️💻🔍📚➡️😴💤➡️📝🚫➡️😭 (The studying process: thinking, researching, falling asleep, no writing, crying) 🚗💨➡️🚓🚨➡️👮‍♂️🛑➡️💸😭 (Speeding, getting pulled over, ticket, sadness) 🍳🥓🍞➡️📱📸➡️⏱️⏱️⏱️➡️🔥🔥😱 (Cooking breakfast, taking photos, forgetting about it, disaster) These visual narratives work across cultures because they tap into shared human experiences, allowing us to tell jokes without relying on exact vocabulary or linguistic structures. Emoji Riddles That Will Keep Them Guessing Emoji riddles challenge recipients to decode visual puzzles, creating an captivating form of humor that activates problem-solving skills. Research indicates that emojis can dramatically alter the perceived meaning of text, making them perfect tools for creating mind-bending riddles. Try sending these brain teasers: 👁️❤️👁️ (Answer: I love you) 🌊🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ (Answer: Running water) 🐝🍯 (Answer: Honeybee) 🔥🐕 (Answer: Hotdog) 👑🥊 (Answer: Royal flush) These riddles work brilliantly in text message format because they give recipients time to puzzle through the meanings, creating a satisfying “aha!” moment when they solve the joke. The visual nature of these riddles makes them particularly effective for crossing language divides, as the humor relies on universal visual associations rather than exact words or phrases. How to Time Your Text Message Jokes Perfectly Timing is everything when it comes to text message humor. A perfectly timed joke can transform an ordinary conversation into a memorable exchange, while poor timing might leave your witty remarks falling flat. Relevance and Context Always send jokes that relate to current events or recent conversations for maximum impact. When your humor connects to something you’ve both experienced or discussed, it creates an instant sense of shared understanding. Friends appreciate jokes that show you’re paying attention to your ongoing dialogue rather than just firing off random humor. Mood and Situation Consider your recipient’s current circumstances before hitting send. Lighthearted jokes during stressful periods can provide welcome relief and show empathy. A funny message during a Monday morning commute might be exactly what someone needs to start their week right. But, avoid sending jokes when someone is dealing with serious issues where humor might seem inappropriate. Frequency We’ve all experienced that friend who bombards us with joke after joke until it becomes overwhelming. Space out your humorous messages to maintain their freshness and impact. Quality beats quantity every time when it comes to text humor. Give your recipient time to appreciate each joke before sending another one. The Art of the Follow-Up Joke Mastering the follow-up joke can elevate your text humor from good to unforgettable. Follow-up jokes build on previous interactions, creating layered humor that deepens your connection. Build-Up Technique Create anticipation by sending a series of jokes that build upon previous ones. Each message should raise the stakes slightly, leading to a final punchline that ties everything together. This approach keeps the recipient engaged as they wonder where you’re taking the conversation. Misdirection Strategy Follow up a straightforward joke with an unexpected twist to keep the interaction captivating. This technique works particularly well when you establish a pattern then deliberately break it. The surprise element often generates stronger reactions than the initial joke. Playful Teasing Use follow-up jokes to gently tease your recipient in a lighthearted way. Good-natured ribbing based on shared experiences creates intimacy and reinforces your connection. Remember to keep the tone affectionate rather than critical, ensuring the recipient feels included in the joke rather than targeted by it. When to Use Joke Threads vs. One-Time Zingers Different humor formats serve different communication purposes. Knowing when to deploy each type maximizes your joke’s effectiveness. Joke Threads Joke threads work best in ongoing conversations where you have established rapport. These extended exchanges allow you to build on previous jokes, creating running gags that can last for days or even weeks. Threads create a sense of continuity and shared history between texters. They’re particularly effective with close friends who understand your humor style and will appreciate the evolving narrative. One-Time Zingers One-time zingers deliver immediate impact when you want to punctuate a conversation with humor. These standalone jokes work perfectly for breaking tension during serious discussions or adding a surprise element to routine exchanges. Zingers require less context than thread jokes, making them ideal for reconnecting with someone you haven’t texted in a while. Their self-contained nature means they can land effectively without requiring setup or follow-through. Text Message Dad Jokes That Are So Bad They’re Good Dad jokes have earned their special place in text message humor, delivering that perfect blend of cringe and charm that makes everyone simultaneously groan and smile. Classic Dad Joke Formats for Texting Pun-Based Wordplay dominates the dad joke universe with clever homophones and double meanings. These jokes rely on similar-sounding words or multiple interpretations to deliver their comedic punch. “Why did the scarecrow win an award? Because he was outstanding in his field” plays on the dual meaning of “outstanding.” Another classic example is “What do you call a fish with no eyes? A fsh” – demonstrating how removing the letter “i” (eyes) creates both visual and verbal humor. Unexpected Punchlines work brilliantly in text format by setting up logical premises followed by absurd conclusions. “Can a kangaroo jump higher than the Empire State Building? Of course! Buildings can’t jump” surprises recipients with its literal interpretation. Similarly, “What happens when a snowman throws a tantrum? He has a meltdown” connects emotional breakdowns with the physical properties of snow for maximum dad-joke effect. Literal Interpretations take common phrases or idioms and deliberately misunderstand them. “A duck walks into a pharmacy and says, ‘Give me some lip balm – and put it on my bill'” plays with the dual meaning of “bill.” We also love “Why doesn’t the sun need college? It already has millions of degrees” – turning scientific fact into wordplay gold. How to Create the Perfect Groan-Worthy Punchline Rely on Simplicity when crafting dad jokes for texts. Short, punchy sentences improve readability and maximize impact when delivered via message. “Why do crabs never donate? They’re shellfish” demonstrates this principle perfectly – concise setup with an immediate pun payoff. Leverage Immediate Context by referencing everyday scenarios your recipient can relate to. Seasonal jokes like “My extra winter weight is gone. Now, I have spring rolls” connect with universal experiences. Weather-related gags such as “The sea told the beach, ‘Nothing’ – it just waved” work well because they reference common elements in our lives. Timing and Delivery matter significantly in text-based dad jokes. Sending these groaners as unexpected non-sequiturs often amplifies their humor value. “Did you hear about the red and blue ships? Survivors were marooned” works best when it appears seemingly out of nowhere in a conversation thread. What makes dad jokes particularly effective in text format is their psychological impact. Their deliberately “cringeworthy” nature actually helps build resilience to embarrassment, especially in children, by fostering comfort with self-expression. Their predictable structure and pun-heavy approach create perfect low-stakes humor for digital communication when in-person social cues are absent. The Science Behind Why Funny Texts Make Our Day Better Neurochemical Magic at Work Funny text messages actually trigger powerful neurochemical responses in our brains. When we receive a humorous text, our bodies release endorphins and dopamine, creating a natural high that reduces stress and boosts our mood. This chemical reaction explains why even a simple joke can immediately improve how we feel. Research shows these effects mirror in-person humor, with laughter prompted by texts lowering cortisol levels and even improving immune function. Emotional Regulation Benefits Humorous texts serve as effective tools for emotional regulation. When we’re feeling down, a funny message acts as a distraction, helping blunt emotional distress without erasing memories of upsetting events. Studies demonstrate this phenomenon clearly – when volunteers were shown negative images paired with jokes, their distress decreased significantly while their factual recall remained intact. This indicates funny texts can help us process difficult emotions more effectively. Creating Digital Connection Sharing jokes via text fosters genuine social connection, even across physical distance. This digital humor serves as a social lubricant, strengthening relationships through shared laughter. Interestingly, research on depressive meme-sharing has revealed that humor helps individuals articulate complex emotions and build solidarity within digital spaces. The shared experience of laughing at the same joke creates an immediate bond between sender and recipient. Cognitive Enhancement Through Humor Text jokes stimulate our brains through pattern recognition and surprise. When we “get” a joke, our brain’s reward system activates, creating a pleasurable experience while simultaneously captivating our cognitive processes. This mental stimulation enhances creativity and problem-solving abilities, essentially giving our brains a mini-workout with each funny text we receive and decode. Understanding Humor Boundaries While humor generally uplifts our spirits, some types of jokes can have different effects. Disparaging or negative humor may reinforce negativity in certain personality types or contexts. But, well-intentioned text humor typically strengthens relationships and builds mental resilience. The key lies in understanding your audience and sending jokes that will genuinely make them smile rather than potentially offend. Searchability – Look for platforms with robust search functions that allow filtering by length, theme, and appropriateness level to quickly find the perfect joke for your situation. How to Create Your Own Original Text Message Jokes Study the Structure of Existing Jokes The best way to create original text message jokes is to understand how successful jokes work. Most text jokes follow a setup-punchline format that introduces a premise and then subverts expectations. Take time to analyze patterns in established humor, such as classic puns like “Nice belt!” (which works between 0 and 8 on a scale). Notice how effective jokes often use wordplay, puns, or what humor theorists call “benign violations” – something that breaks norms but in a harmless way. Look for Wordplay Opportunities Wordplay forms the foundation of many great text jokes. Search for homophones (words that sound alike but have different meanings) such as “byte” for “bite” in tech jokes. Double entendres work wonderfully too – think “gummy bear” when referring to a toothless bear. These linguistic connections create that satisfying “aha” moment when your recipient gets the joke. Create Your Setup and Punchline When writing your joke, structure it with a concise setup (usually 1-2 sentences) followed by an unexpected punchline. For example, “Why don’t scientists trust atoms? Because they make up everything!” The setup establishes context while the punchline delivers the surprise. AI joke generators can provide useful templates for inspiration if you’re feeling stuck. Use Common Joke Techniques Several reliable techniques can help you create original jokes: Absurd comparisons: “What do you call a snowman with a six-pack? An abdominal snowman!” Self-referential humor: “Why did the cookie cry? Its mom was a wafer!” (playing on “away for”) Cultural references: “Why did the computer keep secrets? Too many bytes!” Test and Refine Your Jokes The difference between a good joke and a great joke is refinement. Test your jokes by reading them aloud to ensure they work in text format. Unlike verbal jokes, text jokes can’t rely on vocal timing or physical comedy, so clarity is crucial. Ask yourself: Is the punchline surprising enough? Is the setup concise? Does it work without explanation? Optimize for Text Format We recommend using short sentences for better readability in text messages. Universal themes like food, animals, and holidays often resonate better than niche topics. Revise rigorously, focusing particularly on the surprise factor in your punchlines. Remember that text jokes should stand on their own without additional context or explanation. Use Tools for Inspiration When you’re feeling uninspired, automated resources like Funny Text Generators or AI Joke Generators can jumpstart your creativity. Additionally, jokes in text format allow recipients to appreciate the humor at their own pace and can strengthen relationships despite physical distance. How can emojis enhance humor in text messages? Emojis enhance text message humor by adding emotional context and visual elements that transcend language barriers. Research shows that messages with emojis, particularly the “Face with tears of joy” 😂, are perceived as more humorous. Their cringe-worthy yet endearing nature creates a low-stakes humor that’s rarely offensive. These jokes typically feature wordplay, unexpected punchlines, or literal interpretations that don’t require complex setups, making them ideal for quick text exchanges that foster connections. How important is timing when sending funny text messages? Timing is crucial for text message humor. Jokes that relate to the recipient’s current situation or recent conversations have greater impact. Consider the person’s mood and circumstances before sending jokes, and space out humorous messages to maintain their freshness. Context-aware humor shows thoughtfulness and can transform an ordinary text into a memorable moment. Can text message pranks strengthen friendships? Yes, when done thoughtfully. Light-hearted text pranks like sending cryptic messages, initiating deep conversations before switching to mundane topics, or the classic “Who is this?” can create shared moments of confusion followed by laughter. These playful interactions add an extra dimension to digital communication and can strengthen bonds, provided they remain respectful of boundaries. How can I create my own original text message jokes? Create original jokes by studying joke structures, looking for wordplay opportunities, and crafting unique setups with surprising punchlines. Experiment with absurd comparisons, self-referential humor, and cultural references. Test jokes on close friends, refine for clarity and surprise, and optimize for text format by keeping them concise. AI joke generators can also provide inspiration. What types of jokes work best for specific occasions like birthdays or Mondays? Birthday jokes work best when they combine celebratory themes with gentle teasing about age or gifts. Monday jokes should offer lighthearted commiseration about the start of the workweek with motivational undertones. Weekend jokes that celebrate free time and holiday-specific humor that plays on traditions perform well. Always tailor the joke to match the occasion’s mood. What are the psychological benefits of sharing funny texts? Sharing funny texts triggers neurochemical responses that release endorphins and dopamine, reducing stress and improving mood. Humor aids in emotional regulation by providing healthy distractions during difficult times and helping process complex emotions. Additionally, jokes foster genuine social connections, stimulate brain activity, enhance creativity, and build resilience to embarrassment. How can I ensure my text jokes don’t offend others? Consider your audience’s sensibilities, cultural background, and current circumstances before sending jokes. Avoid sensitive topics like politics, religion, or personal attributes unless you’re certain of the recipient’s comfort level. When in doubt, stick to universally appealing humor like wordplay, puns, and dad jokes. Remember that humor should uplift rather than alienate. Jokes For Days https://jokesfordays.com/?p=2241

The Linn article discusses the fact that August is a month when not much is accomplished in many offices. Whether it's the heat (especially in the American South) or just a sense that it's been eight months since the Christmas/Hanukkah/New Year's break, there is just a general lull that tends to hit offices during this time of the year. The research that goes into this article suggests that it is simply natural for people to need some time to get away from their primary occupation and recharge before taking up their tasks again. Even in a time when the economy is suffering and employers need maximum efficiency from each member of their teams, it is actually more productive in the long run to grant the time off. A lot of this has to do with the “motivation” aspect of psychology. As Myers discusses repeatedly, there are many different ways to motivate people – and there are just about as many management theories as there are motivational typologies. For every Google out there, designing every element of the working environment to make each employee comfortable – and productive – there is a Texas Instruments out there, with a regimented dress code and manual of style that each employee is expected to follow. Both models can work, if the companies find the right mix of skill sets and personality types. Without structure, many people will implode because of their Type A personality – even if they are at the bottom of the organizational ladder. There are others, though, who see time cards as entry tickets to a special sort of hell. This article does an effective job of blending research from a variety of sources about the importance of down time. The Rosenberg article discusses recent trends in the fight against teen smoking – down from 37 percent in 1997 among high school seniors to 19 percent today, but just as prevalent as teen obesity, which receives a considerable amount of attention in today's press. The main focus of this article is the shift from health-related education for teens about smoking to marketing that makes smoking itself seem less cool. A series of campaigns involving prank calling to tobacco companies, actual information from the documents that the tobacco companies admitted to be true, and plain packaging that takes the brand awareness away from smoking – an awareness that, for teens, is far more important than health awareness. As with the Linn article, the psychological focus here is on motivation – and finding out what motivates teens to smoke – or to abstain. Motivation for teens is to rebel against what they have been hearing since childhood, and this can include rebelling against messages about what is healthy or not. It is to fit in with their friends and to be seen as cool. Avoiding lung cancer isn't something that they think about when it comes to smoking; instead, it's how cool that one particular actor looks while smoking, or how all of their friends have tried a particular brand of cigarettes, and they want to be seen getting that same brand out of their own pocket or purse. The article effectively analyzes considerable marketing-oriented research in this area and provides analysis about such efforts as the Truth campaign to stop teens from smoking. The Cullen article discusses the three main types of mass murders, in the light of the recent shootings at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado. A great deal of ink is being used to write about the proper way to keep these sorts of tragedies from happening, and there is good news and bad news, at least according to the article Read the full article
