Embracing Happiness
➥ summary: Earth-42 Miles Morales finally learns to allow himself to be happy for once
➥ pure fluff
➥ one shot
Tumblr media
Miles Morales had carried the weight of loss on his shoulders for a long time. The untimely death of his father had left a void in his heart, casting a shadow over his life. But amidst the darkness, a glimmer of light appeared in the form of (Y/n), his girlfriend.
Miles had found solace and joy in (Y/n)'s presence. Her infectious laughter and unwavering support had breathed new life into his world, allowing him to let go of his pain and embrace happiness once again. Those closest to Miles, his mother Rio and his uncle Aaron, could see the positive impact (Y/n) had on him.
One sunny afternoon, Miles and (Y/n) sat in Miles' bedroom, engaged in a playful conversation. Their laughter filled the room, as they shared stories, dreams, and aspirations. Miles' eyes sparkled with joy as he listened to (Y/n)'s infectious enthusiasm.
As the conversation lulled, Miles turned to (Y/n), his smile softening. "You know, (Y/n), I can't help but feel so incredibly happy when I'm with you. It's like all the weight of the world disappears, and I can just be myself," he confessed, his voice filled with warmth.
(Y/n) reached out, gently placing her hand on Miles' arm. "I feel the same way, Miles. Being with you has shown me what true happiness feels like," she replied, her voice filled with love and sincerity.
Miles' eyes flickered to a photo on his desk—a picture of him with his father, Rio, and Aaron. A bittersweet feeling washed over him as he thought of his dad. He missed him dearly, but he knew his father would want him to find happiness in life.
Rio, who had been passing by the room, stopped in the doorway, a warm smile gracing her lips. She observed the tender moment between Miles and (Y/n), her heart swelling with pride and joy. She had witnessed her son's transformation, from a grieving teenager to someone who had found happiness and love.
As the days turned into weeks, Miles' newfound happiness became apparent to everyone around him. His uncle Aaron, who had been like a second father to him, took him aside one evening. They sat on the rooftop, the city sprawled out before them.
Aaron observed Miles, his gaze filled with pride. "You've come a long way, Miles. Your father would be proud of the person you've become," he remarked, his voice filled with affection.
Miles nodded, a mixture of emotions washing over him. "Thank you, Uncle Aaron. I know he would want me to be happy, and being with (Y/n) has brought that into my life," he replied, his voice filled with gratitude.
Aaron placed a comforting hand on Miles' shoulder. "I can see that, nephew. You deserve all the happiness in the world," he said, his voice filled with sincerity.
In the following weeks, Rio also noticed the change in her son. She sat with him at the kitchen table one evening, their conversation laced with warmth and understanding. "I'm glad you found someone who makes you happy, Miles. Your father would have loved (Y/n)," she expressed, her voice filled with a mix of joy and nostalgia.
Miles smiled, his heart filled with love for his mother. "I think so too, Mom. (Y/n) brings out the best in me, and I'm grateful for her every day," he replied, his voice filled with affection.
Together, Miles, (Y/n), Rio, and Aaron formed a supportive network, celebrating each other's happiness and offering love and guidance. As Miles embraced the joy in his life, he became an inspiration to those around him—a reminder that even in the face of loss, happiness can be found.

Uhhhhh- so anyways-
Age Headcanons for SOTE NPCs; A Senseless List
A reminder that this is purely for fun and makes no claim for or against canon. This is merely a collection of headcanons and vague vibes, enjoy.
Leda: For this post, let's count biological age and not weird-resurection-ages. To me, Leda seems to be around 25-28. Old enough to have lost her naivety for the world, but young enough to keep the pedestal she's placed Miquella upon. She's an adult, sure, but I'd hardly say she's reached her full abilities. If Miquella had succeeded, she certainly would have matured into a vicious killer with decades of battle experience.
Freyja: This redmane has left her years of doe-eyes and frilly bows long behind. She's an easy 38, cool and confident in her body and her lifestyle. Sure, she's noticed the faint lines that have started to form on her brow but- eh- who cares? She'll keep doing what she's always done. To her, age really is just a number.
Dryleaf Dane: The martial arts know no age limit. 20, 30, 60- only the dedication of the mind and body matters in the pursuit of perfection. Dane has seen it all in his eventful 50-ish years of life, and his fighting style reflects that. It's his reserved demeanor and silent loyalty that make him a perfect balance for the cynical Leda. To whom he likens himself as both a friend and mentor. Honestly, he appreciates her youthful fervor and often finds himself considering her something like a daughter.
The Hornsent: He's 40. 40 what? Just 40, as far as he'd ever tell you anyhow. A trusting man he is not, even with the simplicities of sharing one's true age. Such pointless talking points are for truer friends and family, of which the hornsent has none. Perhaps under the guidance of Kindly Miquella, he might one day celebrate another year of life lived in vengeance. For now, however, the memory only fills him with a deep and singular loneliness...
Igon: Drake Warriors aren't known for living long lives, and hunters of all kinds are known for it even less. Igon is the exception. Without the magics of the land of shadow, he would be about 42. An impressive age to reach, for one in his line of work. Although the lack of care he gives to his own appearance would lead one to believe he was much older.
Sir Ansbach: GILF lovers rejoice, this man is easily the oldest npc on our list today. I would say Ansbach is dutifully vague about his true age. While it may amuse him to give the true number, and watch the flicker of awe for his agility cross his companions' face, he remains aware that giving his real age is a disadvantage should things turn south. On one hand, it may cause him to be targeted by those unaware of his skill. An easy problem to solve, if not overly tiresome. On the other, it endangers on a more... emotional level. He cannot risk his allies putting his safety over their own on such a baseless reason as his advanced age. He is SIR Ansbach, after all. What sort of man, as both mentor and knight, could abide by such an obvious danger to his juniors? Not he, that is certain, and so his many decades remain a mystery (although they certainly number more than Dane's)
Thiollier: Awkward, skinny, and chronically anxious. Thiollier reads as young, very young. He's most certainly the baby of the group, even if most of the others don't treat him differently for it. After all, they must likely assume him only a few years younger than Leda. They all began their lives as warriors, scholars, and missionaries at a similar age. So to them it matters very little how old their resident perfumer is. Freyja assumes he is 22, the Hornsent suspects him little older than 17, and only the Tarnished and Sir Ansbach know he is - truthfully- somewhere in between.
Moore: It is difficult to place Moore, since he is kin to the Pests and therefore likely a different race/species category for biological age. However, I would say that Moore is somewhat youthful, based upon his naivety. Likely, he is in between Thiollier and Leda in age - when the years between Pest kin and Tarnished are converted. Mid-20s seems an appropriate range for Moore.
Aaaannnd that's all I have for now! If you have different headcanons on sote npc ages, or npc headcanons in general, pls feel free to share! I love reading comments and seeing different (and similar) perspectives on Elden Ring characters!
Anyways, thanks for reading! This was a fun way to kill time lol >D

Diesel 10 (& 'Pinchy.')
Tumblr media
Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote in my recent poll. As I expected, Diesel 10 strolled away with a comfortable majority of the votes (although not as comfortable as I had thought), so here he is!
Diesel 10 is a heavily modified BR Class 42 engine and is the younger cousin to Daisy and BoCo. The latter - or at least his class - were an object of admiration for Diesel 10 in his early years, given that they were being seen as pioneers who paved the way for the diesels to take over the steam-controlled railways. Like all built diesels, Diesel 10 was told that he was going to revolutionise the railways. However, he may have taken it to heart a little too much.
In his early years, Diesel 10 began displaying signs of having an unpredictable temper. As such, he was assigned to work in a scrapyard, out of public view.
Some time during his time there, Diesel 10 underwent an illegal procedure that gave him his metal claw arm. In human form, this manifested as a third limb, sprouting from his back. But the most interesting change was mental.
Diesel 10 no longer suffered from his violent mood swings but instead seemed to have developed two separate personalities, complete with distinctive voices. One was louder and openly aggressive, while the other was quiet and calculating. There was no sign at the time that either personality was aware of the other, but both had developed an odd attachment to their third arm, treating it as a separate entity called 'Pinchy.'
Eventually, British Rail convinced Sir Topham Hatt to give Diesel 10 a trial. Diesel 10 was openly excited by this prospect. Not only was Sodor the last staunchly pro-Steam railway, but had become something of an urban legend among diesels. Several of their number had been sent to work there, and almost all of them had become pro-Steam. A story had spread of a steam engine witch who had put the diesels who stayed under a spell. Two of these were Diesel 10's elder cousins: a diesel railcar called Daisy, and BoCo - one of the BR class 28 diesels he had looked up to so much. Diesel 10 went to Sodor with the intention of finding his cousins and freeing them of whatever bewitchment they had been placed under.
This plan hit an immediate snag, as BoCo and Daisy were both away on the mainland for completely unrelated overhauls when Diesel 10 arrived. So, instead, he built up a reputation of fear with the resident steam engines, keeping them out of his way while he figured out who the steam-witch was.
But his meeting and interactions with the other resident diesels: Mavis, Salty, Derek, Dennis, Rusty, and Bear led to confusion. All of them seemed happy to live and work alongside the steamies but didn't seem to be under any sort of control. Even Diesel, the only one who shared any normal anti-steam views, only seemed interested in antagonising the steamies rather than taking over, although that might have been down to his advanced age.
When his cousins returned, Diesel 10 was even more confused. Both Daisy and BoCo seemed completely normal, and both insisted that nothing was wrong. Attempting to talk sense into them ended in failure, with Daisy angrily insisting he stop talking to her altogether if he was going to keep on with nonsense like that. BoCo seemed to listen at first, but refused to see reason and eventually the two had an argument after which Diesel 10 avoided speaking with him.
When the new, mostly younger diesels arrived on Sodor, many of them didn't remember the steamies on the mainland. Diesel 10 took it upon himself to warn them about the resident steamies on Sodor, with a hope that they might not get bewitched. They seemed to look up to him, responding to his guidance, although Den and Dart seemed very interested in asking him questions about Pinchy and himself.
The steamies kept out of his way, but Diesel 10 couldn't help but feel resentment about their better treatment, especially their Steam-Works. He and Diesel came up with a plan to take it for themselves, roping the newer diesels in to help when Diesel somehow convinced Percy to come to the Diesel-works. The plan seemed to succeed until the other steamies and the controller himself showed up. While this did result in a hugely improved Diesel-works, Diesel 10 was publicly scolded and felt he lost a lot of face and respect, as the younger diesels - particularly Paxton and Sidney - started making their own way on the island. As a result, he spent a lot of time sulking in the diesel-works, answering the increasingly specific questions from Den.
Despite having being used by them, Percy appeared to befriend the diesels. After he found Sidney's wheels, the forgetful diesel would hear no wrong about him, and the others followed suit. Any attempts to be hostile were immediately shot down by the others, especially if some of the older diesels were present.
Over time, Diesel 10 started to feel a little less unhappy about living on Sodor and even started being civil to the steam engines. Although he is still treated with apprehension by most of them, he has managed to form something resembling friendships with Percy and Percy's sister, Lady. Although he suspected that one or both of them was the cause of the bewitchment of the Sudrian diesels, he has since come to the conclusion that another engine is responsible.
However, neither he nor Pinchy seem to mind so much anymore...

Name: Alistair "Al" Hunter (Loughty) Alias: Hellhound Age: 42 Species: Shapeshifter (Dog) Deity: Goddess of Death Gender, Pronouns, Sexual & Romantic Identities: Male, he/him, heteroromantic, heterosexual Residence / Years: 10 years Affiliation / Years: Lightless, 8 years Job / Workplace: Lightless Underboss; Private animal trainer Relationship Status: Divorced Positive Traits: Temperate, enduring, tactical, diplomatic Negative Traits: Conflicted, territorial, distrustful, fatalistic
Alistair Loughty was born from a brief but intense romance between Abigail Hunter, an American woman, and Callum Loughty, a Scotsman. Raised in the U.S. by his mother, Alistair was never fully estranged from his father—they exchanged letters and occasional phone calls—but the distance, both physical and emotional, left its mark.
Abigail was human and unprepared for the supernatural reality of her son. The first time Alistair shifted, she was horrified. Their relationship became strained, and though she never abandoned him, there was always a lingering sense of unease between them. Meanwhile, his father remained an enigmatic figure overseas, unreachable beyond words on a page. With no real sense of belonging, Alistair grew into a quiet, withdrawn child, preferring books, puzzles, and solitude over companionship.
Seeking purpose, Alistair enlisted in the military a year after high school, believing—perhaps naively—that he could make the world a better place. Instead, war revealed its brutal truths. The battlefield was not a place of honor, but of survival, death, and disillusionment. He adapted quickly, becoming a sniper, coldly efficient in his role. His shapeshifting abilities earned him the grim nickname "Hellhound"—both for his unnatural tracking skills and for the bodies he left in his wake, “sending souls to hell.”
What began as duty eroded into routine, then numbness. Alistair stopped questioning the morality of his orders; he simply followed them. But war takes its toll on even the hardest of men. When his service finally ended, he was discharged with honors—but honor meant little to him anymore. It was ironic—unbeknownst to them, they had given him the same name his father once bore.
During his years in the military, Alistair briefly married a woman named Evelyn, someone who had seen past the hardened soldier to the man underneath. Their connection was real, built on fleeting moments of warmth amidst the chaos of war. But war does not allow for permanence. The distance, the unpredictability, and the demons that followed him home became an unbearable weight on their marriage. Alistair, struggling with PTSD and unable to truly be present, watched as their bond frayed. In the end, Evelyn left—not out of hatred, but out of necessity, knowing that love alone could not mend the wounds war had carved into him. By the time he was discharged, the divorce was finalized, leaving behind only the ghost of what could have been.
Wanting a quieter life, Alistair settled in New Orleans, using his abilities in a way that felt less destructive. As a private animal trainer, he found success—his supernatural connection with animals giving him an uncanny edge. His reputation grew, drawing in clients who sought his expertise.
But peace was short-lived.
Only a year into his new life, his past came knocking in the form of Callum Loughty—his father, and the leader of the Lightless, a feared and secretive criminal organization devoted to their Goddess of Death. It was the first time they had met in person.
There was distance between them, a natural consequence of lost years, but also undeniable recognition. Callum saw something in his son, something worthy of more than a quiet life among animals. He offered him a place in the Lightless. Not at the bottom, but not at the top either—he would earn his way up, step by step, under Callum’s guidance.
Whether it was blood loyalty, curiosity, or fate that pulled Alistair into the underworld, he took the offer. Over the next eight years, he carved out his place in the organization, gaining the rank of Underboss. Yet his identity as Callum’s son remained a well-kept secret, even within the Lightless itself, as his father groomed him to lead. However, in the wake of Callum's absence, he is left wondering if that's what he really wants.

As soon as his lessons were over, Gabriel ran out into the mountains. He was on a quest to go meet his friend out there, and he wouldn't miss it for the world.
He ran in the woods, running trails known only to him and his best friend, his boots splashing in the streams. Gabriel knew these woods, he was raised under the careful guidance of these mountains, and the spot he was heading towards was not on any of the Brotherhood maps. It was his and his friend's secret spot.
Speaking of which, he stopped once he made it to the glade. There was a little brook bubbling through it, with a few skinny trees doting the landscape. He startled a few rabbits back to their warrens as he went to sit in their usual spot. His was a tree stump, whilst his friend sat on a smooth stone, worn away with time. However, his friend.... Wasn't here yet.
Gabriel didn't get a chance to look though, as small hands covered his eyes.
"Guess who!" Marie's voice chimed in the glade.
"Could it be.... Sister Gertrude?" He replied, laughing at her little prank.
"Not even close!" Marie squealed as she uncovered his eyes. Gabriel couldn't help but laugh at her antics, as she sat down and her gown poofed around her dramatically. He never could stop smiling around her. But he was here for another reason.
He rummaged through the pouch on his hip, and found a note. The note was given to him by Marie's brother, Joshua, and it read for him to meet her here once his chores studies were over.
Her brown eyes lit up at the sight of the note, "So he did give it to you!" She nodded her approval.
Gabriel tilted his head, "yes, but what did you need to talk to me about that was this important?"
She jumped up from her spot, "that's because I had a question for you, Mister Belmont!" She drew out the "mister" part, and Gabriel lifted an eyebrow at her. "I wanted to know if you've ever kissed anyone!"
"No! Of course I haven't!" He was taken aback by her question.
"Well," she stated, "I haven't either... But have you ever thought about it?"
Gabriel had thought about it. He thought a lot about it, especially with the girl in front of him. But that wasn't allowed. Kissing was saved for marriage.
"I see that look in your eyes! You definitely have! I wonder who the lucky lady is!" She laughed. The squire blushed and looked away from her.
But she didn't let that happen, as she stepped closer to him and placed her hands on his face. Her hands were soft, though some callouses were forming from learning the ways of a seamstress like her mother.
"Well, it wouldn't do if you didn't know, at least a little of what you're doing!" She chuckled, her smile never leaving.
"Marie, what are you on about?" Gabriel stuttered out. His face was hot in her hands, but it was clear that she was on a mission.
"I saw Joshua and Florina kissing behind the pig shed yesterday, and I'm curious. Aren't you just a little bit curious?" She asked. Gabriel was surprised that Florina would kiss Joshua, especially considering her parents owned the tavern.
But he didn't want to think about them at this moment. It was a sin to do this.... But Marie was right there and he was pretty curious. So he nodded.
She smiled and pressed forward and he leaned down a little.
Their lips didn't quite connect how he envisioned them to. Their noses bumped and their teeth clanked, it was more of a chaste press than anything he had ever seen with the knights of the Brotherhood and their lovers. They both pulled away, blinking at each other, before laughing together. It was perfect to them.

Allah’s name Al-Lateef— The Subtle, The Most Gentle, The All-Kind— occurs seven times in the Quran. Al-Lateef is the One Who disposes of our affairs in the most beneficial way without us even perceiving it. He is Al-Lateef to His slave, being kind, gentle, and merciful, and He’s Al-Lateef of His slave; He’s fully aware of your situation, your deeds, what is in your heart, your thoughts, and your desires!
Most Kind, Most Subtle, the Gracious
Lateef comes from the root laam-Taa-faa, which points out to four main meanings. The first meaning is to be kind, gentle, mild, affectionate, soothing, and to bestow with kindness. The second main meaning is to be thin, delicate, and refined, and the third to be subtle and to know the details of all affairs. The fourth main meaning is to treat with regard for circumstances.
This root appears eight times in the Quran in two derived forms. Examples of these forms are walyatalattaf (and let him be cautious) and lateefun (is Most Subtle).
Linguistically, the concept of lutf refers to being so kind to someone that they don’t notice as well as something that’s too tiny or too subtle to be seen or felt. It also means to know secrets and minute details of things and to be able to do what others can’t do.  Al-Lateef refers to His infinite kindness and His complete knowledge, with which He bestows gifts and favours on us, taking us gently from one situation to another and causing us to benefit without us even knowing it.
Al-Lateef Himself says: Vision perceives Him not, but He perceives [all] vision; and He is the Subtle, the Acquainted. [Quran, 6:103]
The two main purposes of the universe
Allah subjected the whole universe to man for two main purposes, first, to help us know our Lord’s ultimate wisdom, might and power, and attributes, and second; to honour us by creating for us such a great universe.
For example, if you know Allah ‘azza wa jall by contemplating water, you grasp the major purpose of why water was created. But if you drink a glass of water just to quench your thirst and fail to contemplate it, you achieve only the minor purpose of its creation, which is to make use of it.
The examples of Al-Lateef are all around us; on hot summer days He makes fruit ripe for us while we’re heedless of it. He causes the teeth of young children to gently swap for permanent teeth without it causing them pain. Can you imagine a dentist removing even one tooth from a young child to make place for new ones? Al-Lateef lets situations flow smoothly from one into another.
Daily life guidance from Al-Lateef
Have you ever heard someone say something you just needed to hear, for no apparent reason? Have you ever attended a talk and the topic specifically addresses your problem? Have you ever had a class recommended to you from out of nowhere, that brings you closer to Allah? Has anyone ever said that one word that lifts you up, reminding you of Allah ‘azza wa jall while they don’t even know what you’re going through? You might think it’s your friends comforting you, but it’s Allah Al-Lateef who sends you such friends.
Have you ever loved something that was displeasing to Allah and slowly just got “off” it to the point where you didn’t even know why you ever liked it in the first place? These are the ways of Al-Lateef, helping and guiding you in your life. As Al-Lateef Himself says: Allah is Subtle with His servants; He gives provisions to whom He wills. And He is the Powerful, the Exalted in Might. [Quran, 42:19]
How Can You Live by This Name?
1. Be gentle and kind to others.
As a way of being thankful to Al-Lateef for His gentleness, we should try our best to be a source of gentleness and kindness to others. Make a special effort to look out for the poor, orphans, widows, prisoners, and all those in need around you and to do something to make their lives easier. Give extra clothing, write a letter of support to a prisoner, etc. As the Prophet said: Show gentleness, for if gentleness is found in anything, it beautifies it and when it is taken out from anything it damages it. [Abu Dawud]
2. Reflect on yourself and your surroundings.
For example radio waves: they can’t be seen, but they bring about much benefit for us. The subtle air, which is not heavy to breathe, the change of the seasons, ripening fruits, the day flowing over into the night, the body and mind of a child developing in perfect milestones, people coming onto your path, an uplifting word at the right time, and events occurring out of nothing but with perfect wisdom— the ways of Al-Lateef can be found all around you. Take them all as opportunities to actively remember Him.
3. Grow your love and amazement for Al-Lateef.
Love Him and be grateful to Him, for He’s been kind to you in ways you don’t even realize. Al-Lateef may put you through things that you dislike, but be patient, and when He gives you what you love, be thankful for it. Say a lot of alhamdulillahs in your daily life, even for the things you don’t notice but that benefit you greatly. Say subhanAllah at any spare moment for His perfect ways to guide you through life.
4. Have the right intention in all you do.
Al-Lateef knows all you do, every minute detail, every thought, every desire, and every intention, so take account of yourself. Before you do anything, ask yourself: Am I really doing this for Allah or for something else?
5. Make dua for lutf.
Make dua to Al-Lateef, asking Him for His kindness and to aid you to be kind to others. Ask Al-Lateef for His blessings for your loved ones.
O Allah Al-Lateef, we know You are the most subtle and perceive every detail. Make us fear You as if we see You. Aid us to always be thankful for Your kindness and patient in hardships, make us of those who are kind and gentle to others, inspire us to contemplate your beautiful names and attributes by reflecting on the universe and all that’s in it instead of merely using it to satisfy our needs. Ameen!

Mitsuko Jissoji
Introducing one of my main OCs. A Yakuza Oneesan (NOT anego/anesan) from Semboku City, Akita, Tohoku region. Portrayed her in a more personal light (or at the very least, more reserved and less cutthroat), and at the same time a far cry from how most Kanto-centered yakuza AUs are written, so apologies for the inaccuracies.
Her stand is still a work in progress.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Etymology
"Mitsuko" (光子) is a feminine Japanese given name that is often made up of two kanji characters: "光" (mitsu) meaning "light" or "radiance" and "子" (ko), which is a common suffix for feminine names in Japan meaning "child" or "daughter."
"Jissoji" (実相寺) appears to be an uncommon surname. "実" (jitsu) means "truth" or "reality," "相" (sō) means "appearance" or "form," and "寺" (ji) means "temple." Together, "実相寺" roughly translates as "Temple of Truth" or "Temple of Reality."

Personality
Mitsuko is an introverted woman. She is able to tolerate charged situations and can hold and initiate interactions. However, she appreciates being left alone to recharge after a day of handling affairs. She describes herself as patient, stoic, a listener, and a realist. She maintains a high level of respect, subordination, and utmost loyalty to Ryohei and Kakihara despite them being her blood relatives, in and out of yakuza business.
In the context of being a Yakuza Oneesan, Mitsuko is known for her ability to maintain the social dynamics, cohesion, and ties within and outside the gumi, regardless of her personality. She reports directly to her older brother, Ryohei, the Oyabun of the Jissoji-gumi. During business meetings, she lets Ryohei, Kakihara, and the parties involved discuss the matters among themselves, only occasionally providing input when prompted or as she sees fit. In case of altercations, for the most part, Mitsuko stays back to remain calm and tries to negotiate, before eventually pulling out a tanto knife as a warning when truly provoked.
Tumblr media
Trivia
Mitsuko had a rebellious boyish teenager phase, before eventually transitioning into a 'slightly' more extroverted, sultry, and feminine adult woman.
She was an average student in high school, with grades ranging from 80-85 and always in the B classes.
She apparently skipped university and immediately worked for the Jissoji-gumi right after graduation.
She is quite the audiophile and prefers wired audio over wireless and Bluetooth connections.
Her special skill is making perfect tempura and omurice.
She likes money and debt collection days.
She dislikes black forest cake.
Mitsuko believes Semboku could really use a host club or two.
She asks to NOT be called 'Anego/Anesan', as she is unmarried and would like to stay that way for as long as possible. Mitsuko believes that the term only belongs to Kanto and not Tohoku. For this reason, she has no problems being addressed by her name.
According to Ryohei, Mitsuko being the most nonchalant woman he's ever met is both a blessing and a curse.
Tumblr media
Frequently Asked Questions
Has she killed someone? How did it feel for the first time? What is her current body count?
Yes, it felt amazing, new, and yet nerve-wracking all at the same time as she was only 18 when she did it. She proceeded with the act at the early morning after her 18th birthday on one of her exes who cheated on her and spread rumors about her clan. Kakihara could have sworn he heard her holding back her gagging.
Mitsuko's current body count is 9 and is looking forward to the 10th victim.
Has she performed yubitsume?
On herself - Almost, when the mochi and boba shop she was managing got caught into a messy drug bust, and the entire Saiko-komon had to bail her out within the same day for 5 million yen. Ryohei warned her that it will be the last time she can get away with such mistake. He managed to threaten her into taking off the first three centimeters of her left pinky finger's skin with her tanto knife in order to teach her a lesson.
On others - Yes. Mitsuko has ordered a yubitsume punishment on several debtors who couldn't pay on time and/or with enough money, as well as some kobun members as instructed by Ryohei or Kakihara, and the majority of her exes.
Has she done drugs?
Yes, as part of her initiation into the group. Marijuana, cocaine, and heroin, in that order.
What was her initiation like?
Aside from taking drugs and killing an ex, another activity that formed a part of Mitsuko's initiation into the Jissoji-gumi and the yakuza world was excessive drinking until 6 AM during their nightly city escapades in order to test and strengthen her alcohol tolerance.
(JJBA) Does she have a stand? If so, what are its abilities and weaknesses?
WIP
(Tokyo Revengers/Yakuza/Mafia) Has she encountered any Kanto groups and Italian/foreign mafia? If so, were they rivals or associates?

It's important to have boundaries, to recognize the moment when it's too much and step away from what's harmful. However, having boundaries doesn't justify hatred. Negative emotions are a bond that we should get rid of too. Otherwise, they'll continue to disturb our peace. ~ Maat

I can't do that fancy thing you guys do with the illustrative images but.. how far do you think the parallelism will go in terms of Peter tied to the punching bag and Miles tied to the punching bag?
1. Miles tries to appear threatening to Peter at first with his "questions". Likewise, I think Miles 42 is only menacing in appearance but he has goodwill. We've already established that he's a vigilante. He punches the bag but I don't think that he will maul Miles unless he thinks it's absolutely necessary.
2. Miles comes to the understanding that Peter is a variant of his universe's Peter and shows him compassion. I think that Miles 42 will eventually come around to Miles and feel empathy towards his cause.
3. I expect that Miles, like Peter, will escape his bonds after all Peter did say "trust me kid this'll make you a better Spiderman". Miles will probably have the upper hand at least for a moment because no one anticipates that he will get free.
4. I've been wondering if Miles will be jaded like Peter is because of all he's been through. Both Miles experience loss and trauma and that will definitely be a point of connection. I expect that they'll work together and find a mutual point of interests so that they can have a truce. They have to be like brothers, I will scream if they're not and I hope they do lots of quibbling too.
5. Miles will be focused on getting home and he'll probably be so tunnel visioned he may not accept help at first, like Peter did.
The thing is, Peter does so much commentary in ITSV on canon - for example he can predict Olivia and King Pin's villainous dialogue because it's always the same, and there's always a bypass key, goober, override key.
The creators have clearly been playing with the idea of canon getting old for quite some time.
And we'd think we know the rest. But Gwen's made it very clear... that we don't. So I don't know if we will get much more in terms of rehashing of ITSV Peter through BTSV Miles.
Either way I'm excited to see the new bonds formed and which old bonds will be redeemed.
The thing I missed most in ATSV was the dynamic between Miles and Peter. It's always been one of my favourite things about ITSV and it makes the betrayal in ATSV all the more heartbreaking for me.
You know, when Miles is in trouble in ITSV while Olivia chases him he yells Peter! And on the train when threatened by Miguel he yells Peter's name again and doesn't get the guidance and protection he needs.
Whew. There are so many, many threads to tie up in BTSV!! I'm psyched about the new stuff but I'm also curious about the callbacks and parallels they'll use for nostalgia and problem solving.

the houses of the academy + uniform
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
date: may 27 2025. 11:42 (started at 10:00)
just a heads up, I did use AI for the common rooms, but this was before I knew how bad it was lol (then again, everything is bad for the environment atp so whatever.). I mean, I have them just sitting in my gallery anyway (for MONTHS), and it's too late to undo it. so don't fucking patronize me or so help me god. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
✧˖*°࿐The Houses and Uniform
*ೃ༄The Houses
veltrius lumos academy’s house system is not just about tradition; it's a carefully designed framework to support personal growth, emotional intelligence, leadership, and belonging. rooted in the Academy’s core philosophy of illumination through knowledge and character, the four houses reflect different aspects of human excellence.
while inspired by classical educational institutions, the Veltrius house system has been modernized to suit contemporary education — blending the social, emotional, and academic in a way that helps students not only succeed but understand who they are, how they work, and where they thrive.
𓂃༊ what's the purpose?. ✧ 𓂃 › at Veltrius Lumos Academy, the house system is not just decorative, it’s foundational to the school’s social and academic structure. ✧ 𓂃 › the academy was built on the philosophy that students thrive best when surrounded by peers who challenge, inspire, and reflect their inner drive. ✧ 𓂃 › while students from all houses share classrooms, dorms, and extracurriculars, their house serves as a support system, a home base, and a social and leadership training ground. ✧ 𓂃 › provide community and belonging in a large, prestigious environment. ✧ 𓂃 › foster leadership, collaboration, and identity through intra-house mentorship and traditions. ✧ 𓂃 › encourage diverse forms of excellence: academic, creative, strategic, emotional, and social. ✧ 𓂃 › facilitate friendly competition through inter-house events (e.g., academic decathlons, arts showcases, debates, innovation expos).
𓂃༊ inter-house culture. ✧ 𓂃 › fields teams for inter-house events: academic competitions, debates, ethics simulations, arts expos, and even athletic games. ✧ 𓂃 › holds a house week, showcasing student work and running public events. ✧ 𓂃 › earns or loses house points based on conduct, innovation, mentorship, or leadership—celebrated at the year-end “House Cup Banquet.” ✧ 𓂃 › friendly rivalries form, but the academy strongly discourages elitism or division. students often collaborate across houses, and some mixed-house friend groups even become famous on campus.
𓂃༊ life within a house. even though students sleep in dorms sorted by year and gender, their house provides them with: ✧ 𓂃 › a common room (gathering place, study lounge, meeting space) ✧ 𓂃 › a house council, led by a Prefect and President ✧ 𓂃 › regular house meetings, mentoring sessions, and creative salons ✧ 𓂃 › exclusive events tied to each house’s personality (Eridonus runs wellness retreats, Saeryce hosts gallery nights, etc.) ✧ 𓂃 › guidance from a Head of House
*ೃ༄The Uniform
𓂃༊ the aesthetic. while the academy leans toward minimalism, there's a touch of old-money academia and contemporary tailoring in every outfit. think: high collars, well-fitted cuts, and luxurious yet breathable fabrics.
𓂃༊ the looks → they’re purple, but it looks good. more purple but not as vibrant? almost pastel but just darker and kind of neutral but not really. both the male and females are like this. they have the school emblem on the left pectoral side.
✧ 𓂃 › feminine. those who wear the feminine uniform have many options for skirt length and sock length. they can also request pants instead of a skirt. 𓈒 ˙ ៹ skirts. variable skirt lengths; mid-thigh, knee, calf, or floor-length (popular among artistic or ceremonial types). most are pleated or structured A-line. 𓈒 ˙ ៹ socks. socks can be ankle, thigh-high, tights, or omitted entirely. (opaque or sheer). most students personalize this element daily. 𓈒 ˙ ៹ blouses. collared with cuffed sleeves, optional neck ties or bows. button-down or fitted, depending on preference. 𓈒 ˙ ៹ shoes. black or charcoal boots, lace-ups, or sleek dress flats.
Tumblr media
✧ 𓂃 › masculine. the pants are pretty much the same length but in the very hot days they can wear shorts too. 𓈒 ˙ ៹ pants. standardized length, but cuffed or cropped options exist. on hot days, tailored shorts (not cargo style) are permitted. 𓈒 ˙ ៹ socks. usually mid-calf, dark-toned, or with subtle patterning. 𓈒 ˙ ៹ shirts. structured button-downs with dark piping along the collar and cuffs. optional house pins or ties 𓈒 ˙ ៹ shoes. loafers, polished boots, or weather-friendly academy footwear.
Tumblr media
✧ 𓂃 › jackets. students will get 3 different types depending on preference. i mean veltrius takes students from all over the country, which means every student is attuned to the different climate areas of haiqin.
Tumblr media
✧ 𓂃 › gym. divided into warm-weather and cold-weather sets. it is form-fitting, breathable, and stylish. the gymwear is often seen as the most fashionable uniform set. 𓈒 ˙ ៹ the uniform includes. ༊ compression tops or tanks ༊ fitted joggers or shorts ༊ zip jackets for winter ༊ sturdy, high-performance sneakers in house colors
*ೃ༄The Dresscode
𓂃༊ overview. veltrius lumos academy maintains a dress code that reflects its prestigious status while respecting student expression. uniforms are required, but within that structure lies a relatively relaxed policy, influenced by the Academy’s progressive philosophy and its diverse student body, drawn from across Haiqin’s vast climatic and cultural zones. ✧ 𓂃 › students are expected to present themselves with dignity and cohesion, but not at the cost of personality.
𓂃༊ hair. ✧ 𓂃 › hair dye is permitted, though full-head unnatural colors (e.g., neon blue, bright green) are discouraged unless toned down or blended tastefully. ✧ 𓂃 › highlights, streaks, dip-dyes, and ombré styles are common—often in silvery pastels, plum tones, soft blue-gray, or muted rose. ✧ 𓂃 › hairstyles must allow for visibility of the student’s face during academic hours and formal events.
𓂃༊ piercings and jewelry. ✧ 𓂃 › students may wear earrings, necklaces, rings, and bracelets, including facial piercings (such as nose studs, septum rings, eyebrow piercings). ✧ 𓂃 › during formal school functions or ceremonies, facial piercings must be removed or coordinated with formalwear—unless they hold cultural, religious, or medical significance, which the academy respects. ✧ 𓂃 › jewelry should not pose a safety hazard or disrupt uniform integrity.
༊ accessories. ✧ 𓂃 › items such as scarves, brooches, belts, pins, and subtle harnesses are allowed in moderation. students often use them to represent house pride or personal flair. ✧ 𓂃 › hair ribbons, subtle chokers, and gemstone clips are common. ✧ 𓂃 › smartwatches, tech accessories, and cultural tokens (like beads or woven bracelets) are allowed.
𓂃༊ formal. ✧ 𓂃 › uniforms must be worn at their most complete (no shorts or casual variants). ✧ 𓂃 › formal ties, sashes, gloves, or capes may be issued depending on the event. ✧ 𓂃 › facial piercings must follow the event dress policy unless otherwise approved. ✧ 𓂃 › custom formal uniforms may be requested for students in performing arts or cultural clubs.
𓂃༊ notes. ✧ 𓂃 › tailoring requests are accepted within reason. students with medical conditions or sensory needs may apply for uniform adjustments. ✧ 𓂃 › each uniform set comes with seasonal versions (lightweight summer, lined winter). ✧ 𓂃 › house symbols may be worn subtly—on rings, brooches, socks, or inner jacket linings. ✧ 𓂃 › students are expected to keep uniforms clean, pressed, and intact. however, wear-and-tear is understandable during field trips, lab projects, or high-performance electives.

students are sorted into houses based on a combination of aptitude tests, personal interviews, and an evaluation of their talents and aspirations. the sorting process is overseen by a panel of faculty members who analyze the students' strengths and personalities. rather than being entirely skill-based, the sorting process also takes into account a student’s values and mindset. some students may naturally fit into a house based on their academic focus, while others may be placed in a house that challenges them to grow in a particular direction.
*ೃ༄The Alignment Evaluation
students are placed in houses based on their core values, temperaments, and intellectual approaches, not grades or programs. houses are meant to complement a student's nature, not define them. once sorted, students remain in their house throughout their time at the academy. (yes i rewrote this)
this is known as the Alignment Evaluation, and it determines which house best matches a student’s values, temperament, and approach to growth.
𓂃༊ written assessment. ✧ 𓂃 › psychological profile (MBTI-inspired but more nuanced) ✧ 𓂃 › ethical dilemmas and situational questions ✧ 𓂃 › learning style evaluation ✧ 𓂃 › creative and critical thinking prompts this test doesn’t score students—it maps how they think and solve problems.
𓂃༊ admissions interview. ✧ 𓂃 › conducted by a faculty panel ✧ 𓂃 › focuses on personal history, goals, values, and real-life decision-making ✧ 𓂃 › panel takes note of emotional intelligence, ambition, resilience, and expression
𓂃༊ supplemental materials review. ✧ 𓂃 › personal essay ✧ 𓂃 › letters of recommendation ✧ 𓂃 › creative or academic portfolio (if submitted) ✧ 𓂃 › extracurricular involvement
𓂃༊ final evaluation. a specialized internal team—composed of faculty from all four houses—reviews the entire application. they don’t look for “perfection,” but for alignment: which house’s ethos will challenge and support the student most meaningfully. ✧ 𓂃 › key principle: the Sorting is not about comfort. It’s about growth potential. many students are surprised by where they’re placed—but often say, by their second year, that it was exactly where they were meant to be.

Sunday of the Paralytic
Reading from the Synaxarion:
Close to the Sheep's Gate in Jerusalem, there was a pool, which was called the Sheep's Pool. It had round about it five porches, that is, five sets of pillars supporting a domed roof. Under this roof there lay very many sick people with various maladies, awaiting the moving of the water. The first to step in after the troubling of the water was healed immediately of whatever malady he had.
It was there that the paralytic of today's Gospel way lying, tormented by his infirmity of thirty-eight years. When Christ beheld him, He asked him, "Wilt thou be made whole?" And he answered with a quiet and meek voice, "Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool." The Lord said unto him, "Rise, take up thy bed, and walk." And straightaway the man was made whole and took up his bed. Walking in the presence of all, he departed rejoicing to his own house. According to the expounders of the Gospels, the Lord Jesus healed this paralytic during the days of the Passover, when He had gone to Jerusalem for the Feast, and dwelt there teaching and working miracles. According to Saint John the Evangelist, this miracle took place on the Sabbath.
Kontakion of Sun. of the Paralytic in the Third Tone
I am grievously paralyzed in a multitude of sins and wrongful deeds. As You raised up the paralytic of old, also raise up my soul by Your divine guidance, that I may cry out, "Glory to Your Power O Compassionate Christ."

Hieromartyr Mocius
Reading from the Synaxarion:
The holy Hieromartyr Mocius, who was of Roman parents, lived during the reign of Diocletian, and was a priest in Amphipolis of Thrace. One day as the idolaters were assembled, and the Proconsul Laodicius was offering sacrifice to Dionysus, Mocius entered the temple and overturned the altar. After many torments, through which he was preserved whole by grace divine, he was sent to Byzantium, where he was beheaded about the year 288. Saint Constantine the Great built a magnificent church in honour of Saint Mocius in Constantinople, where his holy relics were enshrined. He is one of the Holy Unmercenaries.
Apolytikion of Hieromartyr Mocius in the Fourth Tone
In serving Christ our King as a priest of His myst'ries, thou wentest forth self-called unto contest, O Mocius, to offer thyself to Him through the pains of a willing death. Wherefore, crowned by Christ both as a priest and a martyr, thou dost heal the ills of all who fervently honour thy holy memorial.
Kontakion of Hieromartyr Mocius in the Second Tone
Armed with the breastplate of faith, thou didst turn back the arrays of the ungodly, and didst receive a crown of glory from the Lord, O blessed Mocius. Wherefore, seeing thou rejoicest with the Angels, preserve from all perils them that praise thee, as thou intercedest unceasingly for us all.

Methodius & Cyril, Equal-to-the Apostles Illuminators of the Slavs
Reading from the Synaxarion:
Born in Thessalonica, Saint Methodius was a military man before becoming a monk on Mount Olympus. His brother Constantine, known as the Philosopher because of his erudition, was Librarian at the Church of the Holy Wisdom in Constantinople; he later became a monk with the name of Cyril. The Emperor Michael sent him with his brother Methodius to the Khazars in response to their petition for teachers to expound to them the Christian Faith. On their way, they stayed in Cherson, where they recovered from the Black Sea the relics of Saint Clement of Rome. Later, they were called by Prince Rostislav of Moravia to instruct his people in the Orthodox Faith (Saint Rostislav died a martyr's death and is celebrated Oct. 15). The Saints devised an alphabet for the Slavs, and used it to translate the Greek books into the language of the people. In their apostolic labours throughout the Balkans, the holy brothers were slandered by certain Germanic bishops who opposed the use of the vernacular in the church services. Summoned to court at Rome in 867, they presented their Slavonic translations to Pope Adrian II, who received them with love and full approval. Two years later, Saint Cyril reposed in Rome on February 14 and was buried in the Church of Saint Clement. Saint Methodius was made Bishop of Moravia, but at the intrigues of certain Latin clergy, was cast into prison by the "Holy Roman Emperor" (the Germanic Emperor of the West), where he was cruelly tormented for some three years. In 874, through the defence of Pope John VIII, he was freed and made Archbishop of Moravia. Because he reproved the lax morals of the German priests in Moravia, he was soon accused of heresy by them, and was forbidden to celebrate the Liturgy in Slavonic. Summoned to Rome again in 879, he was completely exonerated and allowed once again to use the Slavonic tongue for the divine services. He reposed on April 6, 885.
Apolytikion of Cyril and Methodius in the Fourth Tone
Since ye were equal in character to the Apostles, and teachers of the Slavic lands, O divinely-wise Cyril and Methodius, pray to the Lord of all to strengthen all nations in Orthodoxy and unity of thought, to convert and reconcile the world to God, and to save our souls.
Kontakion of Cyril and Methodius in the Third Tone
Let us honour our sacred pair of enlighteners, who, by translating the divine writings, have poured forth for us a well-spring of divine knowledge from which we draw abundantly even unto this day: We call you blessed, O Cyril and Methodius, ye that stand before the throne of the Most High and intercede fervently for our souls.

Prayer Before Reading Scripture
Shine within our hearts, loving Master, the pure light of Your divine knowledge and open the eyes of our minds that we may comprehend the message of Your Gospel. Instill in us also reverence for Your blessed commandments, so that having conquered all sinful desires, we may pursue a spiritual life, thinking and doing all those things that are pleasing to You. For You, Christ our God, are the light of our souls and bodies, and to You we give glory together with Your Father who is without beginning and Your all holy, good, and life giving Spirit, now and forever and to the ages of ages. Amen.
Orthros Gospel Reading
The Reading is from Luke 24:12-35
At that time, [Peter rose and ran to the tomb; stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths by themselves; and he went home wondering at what had happened. That very day] two of them were going to a village named Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem, and talking with each other about all these things that had happened. While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. But their eyes were kept from recognizing Him. And He said to them, "What is this conversation which you are holding with each other as you walk?" and they stood still, looking sad. Then one of them, named Cleopas, answered Him, "Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?" And He said to them, "What things?" And they said to him, "Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, and how our chief priests and rulers delivered Him up to be condemned to death, and crucified Him. But we had hoped that He was the one to redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since this happened. Moreover, some women of our company amazed us. They were at the tomb early in the morning and did not find His body; and they came back saying that they had even seen a vision of angels, who said that He was alive. Some of those who were with us went to the tomb, and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see." And He said to them, "O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was not it necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into this glory?" And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, He interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself. So they drew near to the village to which they were going. He appeared to be going further, but they constrained Him, saying, "Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is now far spent." So He went in to stay with them. When He was at table with them, He took the bread and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to them. And their eyes were opened and they recognized Him; and He vanished out of their sight. They said to each other, "Did not our hearts burn within us while He talked to us on the road, while He opened to us the scriptures?" And they rose that same hour and returned to Jerusalem; and they found the eleven gathered together and those who were with them, who said, "The Lord has risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!" Then they told what had happened on the road and how He was known to them in the breaking of the bread.
Epistle Reading
The Reading is from Acts of the Apostles 9:32-42
In those days, as Peter went here and there among them all, he came down also to the saints that lived at Lydda. There he found a man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden for eight years and was paralyzed. And Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; rise and make your bed." And immediately he rose. And all the residents of Lydda and Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord. Now there was at Joppa a disciple named Tabitha, which means Dorcas. She was full of good works and acts of charity. In those days she fell sick and died; and when they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room. Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him entreating him, "Please come to us without delay." So Peter rose and went with them. And when he had come, they took him to the upper room. All the widows stood beside him weeping, and showing tunics and other garments which Dorcas made while she was with them. But Peter put them all outside and knelt down and prayed; then turning to the body he said, "Tabitha, rise." And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up. And he gave her his hand and lifted her up. Then calling the saints and widows he presented her alive. And it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.
Gospel Reading
The Reading is from the Gospel According to John 5:1-15
At that time, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, in Hebrew called Bethesda which has five porticoes. In these lay a multitude of invalids, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water; for an angel of the Lord went down at certain seasons into the pool, and troubled the water; whoever stepped in first after the troubling of the water was healed of whatever disease he had. One man was there, who had been ill for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him and knew that he had been lying there a long time, he said to him, "Do you want to be healed?" The sick man answered him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is troubled, and while I am going another steps down before me." Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your pallet, and walk." And at once the man was healed, and he took up his pallet and walked.
Now that day was the sabbath. So the Jews said to the man who was cured, "It is the sabbath, it is not lawful for you to carry your pallet." But he answered them, "The man who healed me said to me, 'Take up your pallet, and walk.' "They asked him, "Who is the man who said to you, 'Take up your pallet, and walk'?" Now the man who had been healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, as there was a crowd in the place. Afterward, Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, "See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse befall you." The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him.
