Ammonite fossils
I have two fossils, each of which show just a little bit of iridescence when they hit the light just right. One has some crystallized interior structures which I found very interesting. I enjoy that they each offer a unique view of shell structures (interior and exterior)

I trust tumblr will have a good answer, but does anyone know where I can find affordable (like reasonable but not over the odds kinda affordable) but still real dino fossils? I’ve been looking around and the closest I’ve gotten so far is Etsy but I’m not sure if they’re real or ethical, help me out tumblr😭

I go ‘rock picking’ with my mom and we basically climb around on piles of rocks in gravel pits and steal the fossils so they don’t get destroyed by gravel pit machinery. I don’t like put parties but I sure as hell love rock picking in pits!!
I don’t give a shit nor do I know if this is legal to do so I can’t advise on whether or not you should also go rock picking you may get into trouble you may not WHO KNOWS!!

Fossil photo! This specimen is an approximately 79 MYO mosasaur tooth that I recently added to my collection. Photo is zoomed in to show detail.

Okay now that I've got your interest with an obligatory fossil photo... I NEED ADVICE!
Does anyone know a good, reliable brand of malleable museum putty/wax that doesn't leave a sticky or visible residue? I've been using those clear glue dots for my specimens in shadow boxes, but they aren't really strong enough to prevent heavier items from falling over if I bump into the display case, and I can't use them directly on the raw stones/fossils themselves. I've checked Amazon (though I'd prefer to buy directly from an individual retailer and not through a middleman like Amazon), and found some that seem decent, but I wanted to get opinions on what you guys would recommend. So far my top pick is "Quakehold! 66112 museum wax" (Amazon link: https://a.co/d/a0LuBYc) by the manufacturer "Ready America". If anyone has experience with this brand, or recommendations for any others, your input would be greatly appreciated!

More photos are coming.
Have an free Sunday with Fossils & Coffee after.
Found probably three flints with mussels, two shards from urchin molds.
And then the fragmented & intact urchins. Three have bad effect from the naturell erosion progress, but it‘s the work of time, so it‘s fine.
The one little in gray urchin fossil is intact.
Also found the matching pieces of an brocken intact echinodea family speciemen.

A pretty little halved ammonite. We didn't realise it had a chip in its shell when we got it, but honestly we like it better that way.

La Tormenta: A Paleontological Haven in the Tatacoa Desert
La Tormenta: A Gem of Paleontology in the Tatacoa Desert César Perdomo’s modest paleontological museum, La Tormenta, is a captivating work in progress. Nestled within the windswept expanse of the Tatacoa Desert, this bare cement structure offers breathtaking panoramic views of the shallow, rugged canyons that have been meticulously carved from soft mudstone over millions of years.
