fuck he was so horny. and it didn't help matters that simone looks so damn good. when he had finally taken his shot, jackson was sure she pass on him. baby girl was too damn fine and a part of him suspected she knew it. the last month or so was amazing. and those lips, he woke up hard as a rock thinking about how good those soft lips of hers would feel over his body. imagining her on her knees for him, or her sprawled out over the bed. while he went to town on the pussy he knew was sweeter than anything.
goddamn, he needs to get laid.
but they were taking it slow. and yes okay... he suggested it. he didn't want to scare her off. he was a good guy, but he was still a guy that had needs and fucking was a need, okay? he couldn't have sex for so long. but something told him that once they did ... he'd be hooked.
" how did you hear about this show?" he asked ending credits rolling as he lay on her bed. her daughters fast asleep in her bedroom so any privacy too be had would be found in her room. it was good vibes, fitting of her personality and her bed was soft. he let out a low moan as he moved onto his back. callaoused hands reached for her ankle as he slowly traced shapes up and down her calf. " i didn't know you were such a nerd,": he teased inching higher up her leg,. lightly dragging his nails against her skin watching as goosebumps rosed in its wake" -it's cute. you're fucking adorable, you know that?"

not completely wrong is more or less completely right, as far as ezra is concerned... and nothing she says afterwards points him in any other direction. if anything, he can sense approval there... as much as he's ever gotten, at any rate. "you'll make me blush. smartest in detention? shame you haven't gotten me there, yet... in detention, i mean. contained. i'd walk in myself if you were the warden." shame she isn't... so far. grinning ear to ear, he continues, "you really think i'm cute? might have to keep at it, in that case..." he acts like a lovesick teenager, intentions and all. all shallow, all self-focused at the core. that doesn't mean he can't be a good sport about it, though... "here i was thinking nobody appreciated me. my effort, all that."
"You aren't completely wrong, I'll give you that," she sighed, eyes still on her communicator. "This is below your usual numbers. If we're grading on a curve, congratulations. You're the smartest delinquent in detention." she tapped the screen once, as if logging the information somewhere official. But was she? She just liked making him wonder.
When her eyes did come up to look at him, it was slow and deliberate. "As for your charms… If crashing city property and weaponizing raccoons is your idea of flirting, then I hate to break it to you, but your technique could use a little polish." A pause. The corner of her mouth curled, not quite a smile, but something close enough to tempt.
She stepped past him like the conversation was already over, brushing just close enough for it to feel intentional, her voice low and casual as she threw the final line over her shoulder. “But don’t let that stop you. It’s cute. You know, watching you try.”

I was on TikTok (TokTik) and i found this gem!
(Source IS E!news on tiktok)
Riley singing is awesome as always...But Camila's IS singing too! Her voice IS good!
i showed this to my dad (Who gave his opinión on the show before) And he said that Camila (that he found slightly boring -which I didn't agree with - but very pretty and that deserved better -agree with him) should have been part of the band too and that would've been better and It would've made her better! : " Camila can sing I dont get Hollywood people , they should've changed the plot"
Also he kept suggesting the girl band and dumping the boys , but now updated: Daisy, Simone, Bernie, Karen and Camila Leave the guys and create a girl band... Cool au concept tbh.
Now come to think, if Camila was part of the band as the show claimed...Their name would've made sense if she sang on It!
Au : Camila IS second voice or backup singing voice (I already suggested another Au with Simone doing It, maybe now Daisy (+ Simone) and Billy as the 3 singers and Camila as the second voice?) Alternative : Daisy Jones and the Six ft Simone Jackson or "DaiSimoon and the Six".
Whatever many of the crazy Aus are better than canon.
Also if this video was part of a djats!modern au, Billy would have It on repeat , and would watch it a zillion times, and you know It.
#daisy jones and the six#riley keough#camila morrone#Camila can sing!#Also riley has chronic giggle syndrome which I relate with too much XD

1997: women with soul and vision
Bit of a grab-bag in this set. Coming up: Nuyorican Soul, Veruca Salt, Beth Orton, and Alisha's Attic.
"I wanna be the only one" - Eternal and Bebe Winans
Esteemed chart commentator James Masterton wrote,
Every once in a while there comes along a record that cheers and inspires. One which achieves the ultimate for any pop record and makes the world seem brighter, the sky clearer and which motivates you to set the CD on repeat so you can hear the whole thing all over again. The latest Number One single in the UK is just such a record. For the second single from the Before The Rain album, Eternal team up with American gospel legend Bebe Winans for one of the most heartwarming duets you are likely to hear all year. Combining the best elements of pop and gospel in one wonderful package, the single is perfect summer radio material with a soaring chorus that defies you to dislike it. A masterpiece of production and arrangement, just listen to the way it changes key twice in the last minute as the mood of the chorus spirals ever higher and higher. From the moment it was released the single flew out of the shops and now easily gives Eternal their first ever Number One single, three and a half years since their chart debut with Stay. Easily the best pop record of the year so far, at least until next week.
Have the gospel version.

"Runaway" - Nuyorican Soul ft India
ob Loleatta Holloway, tick. She was the vocalist on Salsoul Orchestra's original song in 1977, given new life by "Little" Louie Vega and Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez. Absolutely majestic orchestration, effortlessly combining house and salsa and scat jazz. Inspired Janet Jackson to write and record "Together again".
More! DJ Magazine goes behind the scenes with masters at work.

"Volcano girls" - Veruca Salt
The group's second album Eight Arms to Hold You disappointed some fans, who wanted more grunge than the alternative pop on offer. Our lead single showcased the group's new and different approach: one could describe them as the Spice Girls with guitars, except Kenickie had bagsied that, and Shampoo were bubblegum-with-attitude.
Barely marketed and sold about 600 copies over here, into the top 40 at number 137 and straight out again. Decent hit in the States, where the group toured with Bush.
More: An "oral history" of "Volcano girls", from Veruca Salt's reunion in 2014.

"She cries your name" - Beth Orton
Opens with a wailing and distinctive guitar line, then a divine voice sing-speaks a tale of domestic woe. Beth straddled the line between electronica - she'd dated William Orbit, produced by Andy Weatherall - and a folk-roots sound influenced by Carole King and Carly Simon. In later years, the folk-roots sound would win; this song remains a touchpoint for the late 90s and no other era.
More: Live review from 1997.
youtube
"Indestructible" - Alisha's Attic
Karen and Shelley Poole, making music for the art. A full-on art package: remember the little cartoon imp from the single cover, and every single single from the album?

"Indestructible" is an oasis of calm, peace, inner strength. We are indestructible, there's nothing to stop us. A world of wild romantic imagination, mystic adventures this way; guess some people hadn't picked up a book (as opposed to a Man City matchday programme) since leaving primary school.
A couple of long watches: The Hidden Treasures of Alisha's Attic, and a collection of interviews.

I don't want to be greedy so I restricted myself (for now) to just two numbers for the music ask game
22 a song that moves you forward And
12 a song from your preteen years
<3
22. A song that moves you forward
Good Grief by Bastille (Don Diablo Mix). Easy, straightforward answer. And twofold! The song itself is about moving on, but also this version is on my cardio playlist. It helps motivate me to run forward too.
I think the song about missing someone, through your stumbles and mistakes, through the years, far away. Is one that makes me move, of course it does. I still hear your songs, I smell you. I miss you. But I'm here now, with all that distance between us because I kept going even when you didn't.
I think if you ever lost anyone, you find a song that helps you move, not on, but further.
12. A song from your preteen years
The first cd I bought for myself was 2.B.A.Master, the pokemon soundtrack. I bought a cd discman and that cd for my 10th birthday, I think. The discman was red, I liked it a lot, and I listened to that stupid pokemon cd a LOT. I learned the whole Pokerap and annoyed my brothers with it.
The first CD of "real" music I got was Janet Jackson's All For You, when I was 11 or 12. (it released in 2001). I remember the song that I found the most interesting as a kid (the one that sounded the least like the others) was Son Of A Gun (I Betcha Think This Song Is About You) ft. Carly Simon. I am sure not a single person thinks it is ironic or hilarious that I related to "I bet you think this song is about you". I'll pause for laughter.
Also, total homosexual choice. Janet Jackson as an 11 year old. Limp wrist behavior.

tongue in cheek—literally—ezra takes his place as middle of the road intelligence with the ease of an oil-slick snake. "no, miss. not at all. would never have happened if i was behind the desk, believe me." watching someone expertly wrap convention and policy around her finger is like watching that old fella paint the mona lisa—he can sense magnificence almost the moment it happens. "can't believe what they're calling service, these days. abominable, if you ask me. i think a tick would have more brains than that!"
open starter for arma characters // simone.
⸻ a chipped, two-week-grown-out manicure taps impatiently against a cluttered countertop. simone, leveling a cool, unamused stare as the clerk fumbles nervously behind the register. after stuttering through an embarrassingly obvious attempt at overcharging her, she just stared at the man and allowed a long, uncomfortable silence for him to fully sit with his own choices.
she leaned down onto the counter, invading the mans personal space, a polished smile on her face. "look at me, honey." her voice was calm, voice a razor wrapped in velvet. "now look at yourself. who do you think is going to win this?"
when the clerk finally mumbled his apologies, she tapped his cheek and stood back up. "good boy, smart move." with a humorless smile, she finally turned away and caught the gaze of the person waiting in line behind her.
"can you believe this guy?" simone sighed lightly, her expression shifting seamlessly from cold irritation to mild amusement. "people these days—it's almost too easy. tell me you’ve got more brains than him. i'd hate for my day to get even more disappointing."
