I’m posting this here now in case I’m right because the more I analyze the Leverage: Redemption season finale trailer the more I’m wondering how noir this noir looking episode is? Because the black and white scenes also make me think of during “The Hustler Job” when Eliot was telling the hostage computer hackers that Parker has a “very black and white” way of viewing things. We’ve seen this theme repeatedly with Parker this season even in “the grand complication job” with her single minded focus on the con and the few other episodes where she has taken back the mastermind role. I’m thinking the scenes may not be flashbacks but Parker’s POV of the situation and then we have that statement at the end of the trailer where she mentions “redemption” which shows her continued growth in that there always being more than just bad and good. We’ve had cons before where the bad guy isn’t as always as bad as they appear or can be redeemed. I’m wondering if this noir look is less of a period piece episode and more of a look into Parker’s way of viewing cons. (edit from the tags: or another white rabbit. More on that later)

Thinking about the Ian/Ellie/Ian reunion through a romantic lens. Spending decades trying to convince themselves that they didn’t miss each other and then they meet up and it’s like?? Alan and Ellie are already gazing at each other like long-lost lovers. When they walk into Ian’s lecture, he pauses and looks like his world has just shifted on its axis. Ellie and Ian always had something going on between them but now Alan’s realizing that his own feelings for Ian are maybe less platonic than he thought. And then later they’re all bickering lovingly like they’ve been married for years. I’m unwell

Okay, now the page is done with the additions of Cloudberry and Dulce de Leche

I know it’s not really that much different from what I posted a couple hours earlier, but whatever

I’m also noticing that Dulce is probably the one with the lightest skin tone overall in this picture, and he’s probably only at a mid level. Not that that’s necessarily a bad thing, it’s just something I noticed. Granted, I think that’s because literally every character here has at least one parent from the Dark Cacao Kingdom, so you know, it checks out

Anyways, not too much to add onto this one

I wanted to give Cloudberry some of her bright hair, but considering she lives in the middle of nowhere, she’s realistically not getting much more than maybe her hair being slightly lighter at the tips, which is a stretch at best if you assume it’s like, natural or something, I don’t know how hair highlights work. Also neither of her parents have orange

I also wasn’t really sure how to mix Dulce’s hair, I think he’s a politician so he’s probably not allowed hair dye. I could have had his hair be mainly light brown and blonder at the ends, but I feel like I’ve done the lighter ends on like, literally half the characters here, so he just presumably has blonde roots or something, I don’t know

I do think they both turned out pretty good though

The only real negative I have is that I had to look back at my first human Cookie designs for Wildberry, and they do not look good, especially him

The longer I look at it, the more I see wrong with it, like why are their necks so thin?? This is why you don’t look back at your old art, only bright side is seeing you’re doing much better now

But yeah, that’s that and the end of the day for me. No clue what I’m drawing tomorrow, all I know is I have 3 major assignments and tomorrow’s a work day too, fun

Ok when the hell did people start saying whump instead of angst is there an actual difference between these words because I just see whump used in basically the same way I use angst and it's like. Is there a nuance at I out of touch am I having a grandma moment at 17 I can't even remember when i started seeing this word it could've been here forever or it could've been fubkign last year help me out here what is it when was it
