despite pages of poems and the entire book i wrote you - you only ever wrote me two songs. the first has the lyric coming up on 7.13, the date we first started really flirting. it's been three years from then, and my life has been utterly ruined. we haven't spoken in a month. i oscillate between being a wreck and being wildly, manically happy. i go long periods without thinking of you - and then i keep myself up, tortured by memories.

i think it's important to note we had been friends for years first. that i had learned to trust you, to think better of you. that you knew who i was - and you still fucking broke me. you knew all the ways i had worked to be okay with myself. all my independence, my hobbies. you could have left me alone, is the thing. you could have let me just keep fucking living.

i keep writing paragraphs on paragraphs about what you did, what you said - who you were. how it escalated so slowly. how i am still scared to admit the truth of things, fearing your response. you taught me that fear. it's only been a month, but still - already, how strange to think of who i was while i was with you. that was a husk-girl, cowering, servile. i can't believe let you in my fucking house.

three weeks before you discarded me; you took me ring shopping. you would tell me so many times i was the love of your life, someone that you "couldn't live without."

the last thing you sent me was that second song - a new one, finally. it's about how i'll never get what i want. about how miserable the idea of a life with me is.

my mother was furious. i had to call her - i was sobbing on the floor of my bathroom about it. She knows it kills me that i can't have kids, i said, breathless, silver and shaking with anguish, Why would she make a fucking song about how sad that is.

you know her, and you know how gentle and forgiving she is. how rare her anger is. her response was slow, deliberate. sweetheart, she said, she can write any song she wants. i know my girl. you are going to write a book instead.

i hiccupped a laugh, but she was still talking. she dropped her voice low, almost scraping through the phone and onto the floor with me. it was a strange tone, almost like feeling a storm coming when there's nowhere safe to be.

i want you to rip her apart, she said. do you think you can you do that for me?

The light Nona casts on the confrontation at the end of Harrow the Ninth changes so much about it. Not what happened, really, but the underlying assumptions. It drives me insane. It's tragic, it's infuriating, and it's also, just a tiny bit, on a meta level, hilarious.

Mercy was wrong. There is no perfect process. John didn't do anything perfectly. He'd flailed his way into godhood with all the control and intentionality of a toddler having a meltdown in a china shop. He ripped his cavalier from her body and never put her back. He did consume her; she persisted because her soul was simply too big for him to contain.

There is no perfect lyctorhood. Mercy was wrong, and John didn't argue with her.

He could have, is the thing. If he'd laid everything out for them, then and there, he could have made a strong case that what he did with Alecto can't be replicated by human beings. That nothing he'd hidden from them would have changed Cristabel's fate, and had Alecto been human, she would have turned out just the same as the others. I doubt he would have really believed it himself if he had, but he's hardly above lying. He didn't even try. Why did he just agree with her and not even try?

That's the kicker of it. Nona had already answered that question before it even inspired the asking. He didn't try because people don’t forgive, not really. He didn't see a point to arguing with her because once people start to doubt, you’ve already lost them. They'll believe whatever they want to. The details would have done nothing. Which is both a fascinating insight into what was going on there, on an interpersonal level, and also.

We stewed on that reveal for years. We built castles of meta on that perfect lyctorhood theory, and all along, John was letting us misunderstand. Because it was easier than telling the truth. Godfuckingdammnit, Tamsyn.

god yellowjackets writers get off reddit and support characterizations you made important in season one. why the fuck was shauna so upset about travis's death in the adult tl if teen shauna did not care about him at all and wanted him dead. what happened to fucked up toxic on-and-off again insular trauma bond travnat cause they did not speak basically at all this season. why would you add MORE characters to make the audience care about instead of develop current favorites in a show with an already HUGE ensemble cast. why the fuck was she wearing that stupid fucking hat 25 years later. why is shauna's character like irreparably fucked now because they made her an evil wilderness dictator. what happened to group delusion and psychosis as way to disassociate from the horrors they committed and why was that scrapped in favor of making shauna bully everyone. dear god.

ANOTHER DPxDC idea (as if I write prompts for anything else lol ✍(◔◡◔)

And once again, I think I might have a hyperfixation rn, another deaged Dani (Ellie) and Dan (Dante)! and Dad!Danny.

And you know what, lets make it another DannyxConner idea.

Danny is on a field trip with his class (NOT in Gotham though, LOVE Gotham but lets go with a different city) in like Central City or Metropolis (If Metropolis, Danny is SUPER excited to see the space sections they have at the museum they no doubt have, because well SUPERMAN is an alien and based in their city. If in Central City Conner is visiting Bart.)

During the trip he bumps into Conner and the two just hit it off. Conner enjoys listening to Danny rant about space and the stars and finds watching Danny's eyes light up in joy kinda cute. And if he got his new hero name Supernova from listening to Danny's rants about the stars well... no one needs to know how he got it.

Danny likes how chill Conner is and how the guy stood against Dash and the other jocks when Dash decided he wanted to mess with Danny during the trip, a rare thing nowadays but sometimes Dash does try, and how he respects/likes Danny's friends.

He didn't even say anything negative or hurtful when he found out Danny has two kids back home.

In the end the two exchange numbers, flirt hard, and maybe set up a date in the future. And then more dates. Becoming boyfriends. AND meeting the family. Conner is smitten with just out of toddlerhood Ellie and toddler Dante and adores them. And he loves how the Fentons just love him the moment he stepped into their house and was introduced as Danny's boyfriend, he made sure to bring over a pie Ma should him how to make.

Things get a bit complicated when Conner, Supernova, is at a reunion of YJ members and his phone lights up with a text message from Danny.

He's smiling with a goofy/soft look when he opens the text and see's its a picture of Danny holding a pouting toddler Dante and Ellie on his lap smiling with a notable gap in her teeth at the camera. The message he got was 'Ellie wanted you to know she finally lost her first baby tooth. Dan's been grumpier, I think he misses you.'

He is pulled out of his happy thoughts and musings when he hears Bart gasp hard and drop a bowl of snacks onto the floor. Conner turns to from the future Speedster and see's him about to have a panic attack.

Bart, Impulse, is having a freak out after catching a glimpse of the text picture Conner had gotten and being nosy wanted to know what got his friend to smile so smitten. He knew of Conner's current boyfriend and the kids Conner adores but haven't had time to be introduced to them or even see a pic.

He wasn't expecting to see the very MONSTER of his NIGHTMARES that basically destroyed the world in the FUTURE as a toddler pouting at a camera and surrounded by two smiling identical looking people either. People he never saw in the future or with HIM AND-

Oh.... OH!

Was that why he turned evil? Did something happen to his family?

Hm. Hey. But, is Sosotte a DID system? From her amnesia, to the way she says “we,” to how she speaks/thinks differently (sometimes with silly emoticons, sometimes full-on sentences/formally,) and even “seeing [herself] in the mirror for the first time.”

Was that intentional? If so, I will be so overjoyed, you will have no idea!!! You handle mental health topics so well, I would love if Sosotte is a system!!!

i don't think so. what you see as a system is Sosotte literally having her memory wiped every day, so every day is a "new" Sosotte to her, and is why she sees herself in the mirror "for the first time"; from her point of view, it IS the first time she sees herself!

but i didnt think people were gonna latch on to siffrin and loop from ISAT as a system and here we are
