(back in the trenches so hiiiii) Have you ever thought about the idea of anyone in Celene's inner circle becoming the Inquisitor? How would they handle their duty? And if possible, who would be their love interest?

I have not, but that's an interesting question.

First of all, I don't think any of them would ever actually be declared Inquisitor because they would all be seen as too close to Celene. And if the Inquisition as it is already has trouble with Ferelden because it's an 'Orlesian Organization'.... which, lmao, Tegan... then I don't think anyone would risk it by naming them Inquisitor. They would just be the Herald and paraded around to close Rifts without having any real power inside the organization, imo.

That, however, is no fun.

So; in order of least disastrous to most disastrous

Couteau - she's a regular woman most times, who doesn't particularly enjoy killing even though she's a trained assassin. She's also just a regular noble, so it's chill. Most 'status-quo' affirming choices: Cass as Divine, Templars chosen and unpunished, declares for order, lets the Wardens stay, doesn't do the rituals, and lets Morrigan drink. She also disbands the Inquisition. Unremarkable, if competent. L.I; i am tempted to say she's alone, because she wouldn't sleep with any of her subordinates, but if I must, then I guess prob Cullen.

Colombe - she's a bit shaken by the whole thing and while in my headcanons I have her be Celene sometimes, I think (know) Celene has very specific instructions for when Colombe actually does impersonate her. So, this is more of what Colombe thinks Celene would do (if I did a fic from her POV, I think it would be a lot of her trying to break out from under the pressure/views Celene demands of her). I think her choices would be: Leliana Hardened Divine, Templars punished, declares for faith, lets the Wardens stay, doesn't do the rituals, and drinks the well herself. If the choice was to let the Inquisition join Orlais, she would do it, but as it is, she disbands it. Bit Chaotic, if somewhat well-meaning. Her L.I. would probably be someone inappropriate, imo, like Sera or The Iron Bull - she denies it to her grave, lmao.

Fleur - probably a surprise that she's this high, but hear me out. Fleur is def on the Mantillon brainwave, and Mantillon was the one who looked at the 16yo-Celene and decided to put her in charge of the country. So, Fleur def has some Views that she tries to implement. I think her choices would be: Vivienne as Divine, Mages leashed, declares for order, Wardens go, does the rituals, and Morrigan drinks. Fleur keeps the Inquisition, not for any love or affection but because she feels she can blame them for whenever things get out of hand again, and they are an easy scapegoat. Very competent, but shakes the foundations of Thedas. I think that Josie would fit Fleur well, actually.

You're right that Cyril would drive every advisor up the wall, that said I do think he would be the most earnest and the more likely to make decisions based on sentiment than cold calculus. So, I think that: Cass Divine, Mages free, declares for faith, makes the Wardens go, doesn't do the rituals, drinks it himself. He def keeps the Inquisition, since that is his position in Trespasser anyway, but unlike Fleur, he does believe that they can still do good. Torn between Dorian and Cass; I feel like Cass is more his type - strong protector, romantic - but Dorian would intrigue Cyril imo - his avoidance but undeniably passion and brilliance.

Obviously the Choice missing everywhere is the WEWH choice, but that's because I think they would all just let Celene do her thing and that's about it, lmao.

(Okay, Cyril might try to force Celene to exile Briala, but Celene would give him a cold stare and he shuts his mouth for the rest of the evening, lmao.)

Anyone have any suggestions for solitary active hobbies that work the upper body more than the lower body? For reference: I like cycling and hiking and very much do not tolerate doing the same thing over and over again in a gym setting and desperately need my workouts to be fun in order to actually complete them long-term. Preferably this hobby should be free.
