the internet loves to make snap judgements on peoples looks and whether or not they deserve to be doing something.
unless you have their entire medical history who the fuck are you to making judgments on what prescribed medication theyre taking.
its on the pharmacuitical companies to be making with the demand of a drug not the fault of an unknown percentage you claim are taking your resorces.
ozempic and the likes have been approved for multiple health issues including obesity.
better yet, there are people that are t2 diabetic that have lost a substancial amount of weight on GLP-1 drugs and "no longer look t2 diabetic" that are caught up in this too.
being overweight/obese is not a moral failing but the internet loves to call "fatphobia" to people that are overweight/obese that are trying to lose weight.
being fat and wanting to lose weight is also not a moral failing.

My babe passed his exam today so he is now officially licensed as a counselor in IL!
My first shipment of semaglutide is showing up today too so I'm excited about that.
I plan on starting it soon. I'm going to do it later because it may not show up until late tonight and I was thinking that I might start my shots on Saturday or Sunday.
We're going to do a celebration dinner tonight and I plan on also doing some DDR if time permits.
I also have a zoom call scheduled with friends so I'm looking forward to that! Seems like it's a good day all in all.

Here we go. I'm scared and excited.
I took my first shot of Compound Semaglutide last night at 630pm and it went a bit weird! I may have accidentally given myself 2x my starting dose 😬.
I wanted the dosing that minimized the risk of GI issues as someone who already deals with tummy troubles regularly. So, I started with 6 units (0.15mg) for the first four weeks.
I am aiming for 135g protein a day. Yesterday I managed 130g and that was tough. I did have a 30g Fairlife Shake to help me out and had a Publix Chicken quesadilla with 30g, and some deli turkey for 24g. It's gonna be possible, it'll just be a shift from my normal eating habits.
I enjoy fruits and veggies a lot, so I just don't want to miss those in my diet.
I'm curious to see if I feel any impact today from the shot. I didn't have any issues overnight. I'm very curious about this "food noise" business.
Today I plan to take a long walk. I'd like to incorporate weights back into my life, but I'm going to focus on walking and other exercise first.

Welcome to PCOSwithGLP1:
Empowering Women, Transforming Journeys
“A Journey of Strength, Support, and Self-Love”
Hello and welcome to PCOSwithGLP1! We are a community of women who have been diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) and are navigating our weight loss journeys with the help of GLP-1 medications. Our mission is to create a space where women can come together to share their experiences, support each other, and find strength in knowing that we are not alone in this. Whether you're just starting your journey or you've been on it for a while, we’re here to offer support, knowledge, and a sense of community as we work toward our shared goal: to be healthy and regain control of our bodies.
At PCOSwithGLP1, we believe that every woman deserves a supportive environment where she can be heard, understood, and empowered. We understand that each woman’s journey is unique, but we also know that we are all striving for the same thing—empowerment.mWhether it's through weight loss, better hormonal balance, or improved health, our blog is here to provide a safe space for women to share their victories, challenges, and questions. We’re here to support each other through the highs and lows, celebrate our victories, and find comfort in knowing that we’re not alone. This is a place where you can find connection, inspiration, and resources that are grounded in real experiences.
_____________________________________________________________
Top 5 Reasons Why Overweight Women with PCOS May Want to Start a GLP-1 Medication:
Improved Insulin Sensitivity: GLP-1 medications help regulate blood sugar levels, improving insulin sensitivity, which is especially important for women with PCOS who may struggle with insulin resistance.
Weight Loss Support: Many women with PCOS face challenges in losing weight due to hormonal imbalances. GLP-1 medications can aid in appetite regulation and make weight loss more achievable.
Reduced Risk of Type 2 Diabetes: Because GLP-1 medications help regulate blood sugar levels, they can reduce the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, which women with PCOS are at higher risk for due to insulin resistance.
Improved Fertility: By regulating hormones and improving insulin sensitivity, GLP-1 medications may also support fertility in women with PCOS who are trying to conceive.
Better Quality of Life: With weight loss and improved hormone balance, many women experience better energy levels, improved mood, and overall better quality of life.
Our blog aims to create a safe and supportive space for women with PCOS who are exploring GLP-1 medications as a tool for managing their health. Every journey is unique, but together, we can navigate the path to better health with strength, compassion, and understanding. Stay tuned for more stories, tips, and insights as we walk this journey together!

Practical Applications of Retatrutide in Metabolic Research and Therapy

Retatrutide, a novel triple agonist peptide targeting GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon receptors, is revolutionizing the landscape of metabolic disease treatment and research. Its unique mechanism offers diverse applications in both experimental and clinical settings.
1. Preclinical Research and Drug Development
Retatrutide is widely used in laboratory studies to better understand metabolic regulation and obesity mechanisms. Its multi-receptor activity allows researchers to:
Investigate complex hormonal interactions influencing glucose homeostasis.
Explore pathways of appetite suppression and energy expenditure.
Develop improved therapeutic candidates based on triple agonism.
2. Clinical Trials for Obesity and Diabetes
Currently in Phase 3 clinical trials, Retatrutide shows significant promise in:
Achieving substantial body weight reduction (exceeding 20% in some cases).
Improving insulin sensitivity and glycemic control.
Offering an alternative for patients resistant to traditional GLP-1 therapies.
Clinics involved in research often source Retatrutide to participate in or support these trials.
3. Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Applications
Pharmaceutical companies leverage Retatrutide as:
A lead compound for developing next-generation metabolic therapies.
A benchmark peptide for evaluating novel agonists or combination treatments.
A tool for refining dosage forms, delivery systems, and formulation stability.
4. Personalized Medicine and Future Potential
Retatrutide’s broad metabolic effects open pathways for:
Tailored treatments targeting multiple hormonal pathways simultaneously.
Integrating with lifestyle interventions to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
Exploring applications beyond diabetes and obesity, such as lipid disorders or non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
Conclusion
Retatrutide’s practical applications span from fundamental research to advanced clinical development, making it a cornerstone in the evolving field of metabolic medicine. Its multi-receptor mechanism holds promise to improve patient outcomes and fuel innovation in peptide therapeutics.
