Doing my first natural dye project! Made a pair of shorts with some cotton/acrylic mix and gonna dye it now that it’s finished! The dye is made with onion skins which is almost red now. Still has 15 minutes to simmer before I strain! I can’t wait to see the results!

It's been a while since I posted something crafty, co here's something I'm currently working on! <|:^) I decided to make this project based on this multicoloured I got recently.

The colours and row arrangement reminded me of the reflection of an autumn forest on ripples of water over a lake. To me, the gradient of green to brown and tan is like the colours of fall leaves, and the dark blue like the depth of the water.

To make a more cohesive scene with this concept, I made a simple little house with a few pine trees under a sparkly night sky with a silvery moon and stars. ☾*.☆ﾟ ˚₊·. I love sleepy nighttime scenes like this, and I'm happy with how cozy-looking it's turning out! <3

Maybe I’m missing something here, but I never understood those books that contain knitting/crochet patterns for one specific kind of garment. Especially when that garment has a specific theme to it. I want 20 gazillion Moomin themed patterns, I don’t want all of them to be socks.

My big green shawl is finished! I wanted it to be oversized and have a nice texture to run my hands against when I get anxious. I got that for sure!

I recently got some wool roving and drop spindles to try out hand spinning some yarn! :]

It turned out on the thicker side of course, but I’m happy with how it is! :-) I even crocheted my very first batch to see how it looks, and it was easy enough to work with.
