My daughter and her friends are playing siblings, so the campaign starts when their house burns down and their dad vanishes.

Aww, that’s cute! I really like that :D And that is definitely a good way to ensure that the characters are working together!

I'm sure I know a couple people with detached retinas if you have spisific questions. I am also good with general blindness questions (I'm not blind but my daughter is and I work at a nonprofit for the blind)

The person in question would have to have emergency surgery, lots of eyedrops are involved post op, and the person would have to wear these ridiculous looking super sun-blocking sunglasses

Thank you both!  What I’m wondering specifically is what sort of lasting damage to eyesight could result from that sort of injury.  Google’s not being terribly helpful in that regard.  I’m assuming there’s probably some risk of partial blindness, maybe a permanent blind spot in the peripheral vision, that kinda thing?

(CANON) The evening they curled up under the cart to avoid the rain they fell asleep and woke up spooning. Yes, dear reader, exactly like that.

(POST REZ) After Molly finds out about Nott’s past with resurrection, he seeks her out to chat and apologize. You see, she had a past worth wanting and remembering and reuniting with. Molly still isn’t so sure about Lucien and he admits to her (second only to Yasha, perhaps) that he’s afraid of what he’ll find. Nott knew she was a good person—and still is a good person. Molly does not want to reckon with Lucien’s life.

(POST REZ) Since his original coat was left to the elements, not much remains of it when he returns. He has one of his new tapestries turned into a coat, sews what’s left of his old coat into the lining, and uses some of Nott’s offered buttons for it. They’re all mismatched—varying sizes, different colors, all from different parts of her travels across Wildemount. The coat is wonderfully absurd and perfect.

(CANON) There are windowless rooms in particularly cheap taverns they’ve stayed at. There are times in these nothing towns Nott has had to dip out of her and Caleb’s room to satiate an itch. Molly has been up in the bar some nights, drinking, watches her leave and return. He never asks what she’s up to, but he always raises his glass to her and invites her over. Some nights, she joins him.

(MODERN) Molly has hidden Nott in his clothes to keep her from being found when she’s shoplifted.

(CANON) Molly thinks Nott has the best smile in the whole Mighty Nein.

Yeza startled, yelping when the door to his room in the Chateau slammed open, only recognizing the words once he managed not to drop the dagger his wife had given him for probably a reason that wasn’t this one. It wasn’t the worst way he’d been startled really, at least he wasn’t holding a volatile potion. 

He looked at Veth, who's friends called her Nott for some confusing reason, and tried to figure out what was on her face she wanted to show him that was new. 

Finding it didn’t take long, the blue design was rather lovely on the green of her skin, and it looked like it was designed in the style of a rather intricate mask for a celebration. 

“Is that a tattoo?” He asked, walking over to place his hands on either side of her head, studying the blue design closer, “It’s really nice, Veth. Your face is ah, quite beautiful, dear.”
