Description:

A seed has been planted in the Wizarding World and darkness is growing. All Amethyst Goldstring wanted to do was to go back to her happy place. But she can’t; Voldemort is not some one you can out run.

Back for her fifth year of Hogwarts, there’s an obvious gloominess hanging over the school and it’s not just because of Voldemort. The new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Dolores Umbridge, seems to be trying to take over the school and gives Amethyst an uneasy and suspicious feeling. Amethyst is determined to find out as much as she can about the the professor to use against her. Amethyst isn't alone in her animosity towards the teacher and rebels with the other students in Dumbledore's Army.

But after an extremely terrifying incident in the Forbidden Forest that leaves the muggleborn hospitalized she realizes that something strange has happened to her and there's no turning back.

Carrying the big basket slowed Tubbo down, making his wings flutter in rapid bursts to help him keep his balance, hoping he wouldn’t fall over. Technoblade turned to him when he got close enough to be heard by the warden, hands already reaching for the redstone switch in the wall.

With a quick flick, a low light flooded the cave. Phil had installed it so people visiting Techno wouldn’t have to do so in near-darkness, though it had taken him a while to figure out how to make it work. Techno’s presence tended to disrupt redstone.

“Okay, Big T. I got a whole bunch of them for you.”

“You didn’t have to,” Techno said. His head turned to track Tubbo’s movements, but he was wearing his blindfold.

“No, I did.” Tubbo put the basket down, sitting cross-legged behind it. “You said you didn’t know about flowers, I wasn’t just gonna leave you clueless about one of the coolest things ever.”

“I know what flowers are. I just said I don’t know the difference between them, because, well...” He pointed at the blindfold, as if Tubbo would have missed that. Then he came over to sit down too.

“And that’s very upsetting so here I am to fix it.” He started digging through the flowers he’d cut. “How’s your sense of smell?”

“Terrible,” Techno deadpanned. His antennae twitched with every noise Tubbo made.

It made sense then that Techno wouldn’t know shit about flowers - if he couldn’t see them nor smell them. Flowers didn’t make noise either. But Tubbo was here to solve that.

“Okay, let’s see then. Oh, these are fun.” He picked up a late-flowering dandelion, the fluffy white seeds having replaced the flowerhead. “Don’t pinch too hard.”

He handed it to Technoblade, guiding him into holding the stem with one hand and touching the bulb with his other.

“It’s soft,” Techno said, voice slightly pitched with surprise.

“It is! It’s actually the seeds, they get carried away on the wind and then more flowers grow. If you blow on them you get a wish.”

“They won’t grow here,” Techno said. The cave was made off unforgiving stone and no sunlight would reach.

“Probably not. Here’s what they’re like in bloom.” He exchanged the flower in Techno’s hand for a younger one, bright yellow petals moved between his fingers. He traced each leaf individually as if mapping out what they looked like.

“It’s pretty,” he said after a moment. Tubbo beamed, picking up another.

“Yes! This one’s my favorite though. It’s called a Poppy.” Techno felt it for a moment. In the silence of the cave Tubbo could just barely hear the beating of the soulheart that sat in his open chest, currently concealed by his shirt.

“What color is it?” Techno asked after a moment.

“Red.”

“And what do you do with them?”

“Well, I eat them.” Tubbo popped one of the flowers from the basket into his mouth, chewing until the sweet nectar made him thrill. “But I don’t think a lot of other people do.”

Techno stuck out his tongue, experimentally placing the poppy on it. He spit it out again, cringing. “Yeah, no thanks.”

Tubbo laughed, pulling the basket closer. “You can also just put them up for decorations. If you want, I can help? We could string them along the walls or something.”

“I think that’d be preferable to eating them,” Techno said lightly.

“Or, hold still I got an idea!”

Getting up to walk around Techno, Tubbo grabbed a handful of flowers first. With slow movements - trying not to startle the warden by any sudden touches - he tucked the flowers into Techno’s braid, winding the stems thigh enough that they wouldn’t fall loose easily.

“There,” he said when he was done. Techno’s long, pale pink braid was adorned with several different flowers.

Techno smiled, reaching up to feel them settled in his hair. “Thank you.”

“I’m gonna nab some goldstring from Boo,” Tubbo said, already off towards the cave’s entrance. “I’ll be right back.”

And Techno stayed in his cave, surrounded by flowers he couldn’t see but still appreciated.

A recent Hero Forge print + paint commission completed: Bar'ra Phae'klyr is a drow elf College of Whispers Bard / Assassin Rogue. (He was a long-time PC and has since become a villain NPC in a new campaign.) He came from a drow family of poison makers and became stranded in a failed surface raid. He couldn't get back to the Underdark, so he took the opportunity to gain something from this happenstance. He went into town, found a doctor (who was treating plague victims), and took his place. From there he learned how to cut people open very frequently and precisely, as well as master his craft in potion and poison making. The College of Whispers took an interest in him and helped him create a second false identity to keep himself even more secret, the high elven bard Celim Goldstring. Since then, he has gotten back into contact with his fellow drow whom he works for as a spy. He became a favored consort and this granted him his magic sword, The Spider's Kiss (on the print, the rapier was customers with a spider at the hilt).

Lynn has a peculiar bone structure,because her face looks pretty "boney" but it also looks kinda round

And Cheesecake is more cheeks than anything bu her face is pretty round tho

Dolly’s favourite color is light blue,because it reminds her of the sky

Octavia prefers purple,but she also likes blue,because it means elegance to her

Olivia likes all the colors,nobody knows why tho

Hi! I'm gonna return the favor because I wanna hear some fun facts for your OCs, too! I'll ask it here so you can mention any of the OCs you wanna talk about, not just BG3

Omg this took longer than I wanted SO! As a challenge to myself I tried to write a fun fact of most of my characters (both D&D and BG3), some are missing due to them being generally underdeveloped

(The * means I have already played this character in a campaign, oneshot, or in bg3)

Ace Goldstring*

My beloved lightfoot halfling, college of spirits bard, sorry about getting you involved with Xanathar and the Zhentarim. So he has teal eyes with the ghost inside as a side effect of him being a spirit medium, if he wasn't his eyes would be brown like the rest of his family.

Davhomin Siannodel Brightwood*

The first one to be made and my dearest boy whom I apparently just like to put in situations. He has a garden back in his house in Silverymoon that he loves very much and gets worried about when he has toi go far for an extended period of time, usually other members of the church of Ilmater take care of it or sometimes his dad does.

Enoch Hume

Half-elf (drow) wizard. Student of Strixhaven, Quandrix School, very very tired he needs some sleep so much, one of his counsellors is a shifter werecat(mechanically a weretiger but I just wanted to make it a calico cat) for the theory side of the school.

Heinrich von Wenninger*

Ah yes, my dhampir vampire hunter. He has a cane, it was from his old teacher whom tragically passed away, he still carries it around everywhere as a memento, the cane is also quite interesting, it's part of the gothic trinkets list from Curse of Strahd/Van Richten's Guide, so the tip can generate sparks, instead of it being magical I made it like it is a small mechanism that with enough force could generate a small fire (and that definitely didn't come back to bite me in his oneshot/j)

Icarus Nephus

My scourge aasimar, sunsoul monk whom is basically a greek demigod (child of Apollo). He knows how to play the flute quite well, he learned to do it back in his monastery in Elturel. I also change his name slightly depending if I'm talking in English or Spanish (Icarus/Ícaro)

Nolan

They're the amneciacTM character, meant to be given to the dm and see what chaos unfolds, the few things I have stablished is that he has stitches and an odd scar in their chest powering their wild magic and is mortally afraid of mirrors.

Professor Meadowheart

Teacher in Strixhaven, Quandrix School, he's known to give one of the easiest classes for the first year students and one of the hardest for the last year students. He's also Enoch's counsellor embodying the substance part of quandrix. He has a raven familiar and definitely isn't conflicted about that (Shadar Kai that basically escaped the Shadowfell).

Yín Lóng/Argentum*

My silver dragon whom was cursed to be in human form. Loves loves loves books, they canonically have a library in the abandoned temple that they live in, also the story hook for their adventure is that someone stole one of the books, a very dangerous one so they're going to retrieve it (+ being stuck in human form and trying to transform back).

Thurak*

Half-Orc Wild Magic Barbarian. I have made reference to this several times but I never get tired about talking about it, he has a broken lyre cus he tried to play music and failed. On a fun fact related to his backstory, he actually doesn't know how to speak orcish and is actually still learning common.

Mayhem*

My tiefling monk, child of a cambion and grandchild of an incubus (Inherited being able to switch between a male and female form). Used to stealing people when they were younger then became part of the same monastery of Icarus in Elturel, Mayhem arrived first then Icarus did, Mayhem was dragged into Avernus while Icarus was in Baldur's Gate. They're besties.

Sergil*

Seldarine Drow (Technically an Aevendrow) gloom stalker ranger. He a lil bitch, a lil shit/pos, he doesn't know who Drizzt Do'Urden is and at this point he's too afraid to ask.

If you had to vote one of your characters off The Island in a reality game show type manner, who would it be and why?

OH HOHO! Great question

The first thing that came to mind was Total Drama so I took that as a reference so yeh

The first one to get voted off would be…

✨Ace Goldstring✨ (And it would probably be for the best)

Why you may ask, well, boi is a ball of anxiety, he wouldn't handle the pressure of a reality show (+ He wants to live a fairly normal life now after basically escaping his past and getting a new identity)

On the first trial he would be so hesitant to do anything and also really pressed by the cameras, everyone expected it to some degree, even himself

And he's kinda glad he got eliminated also, he could just return home and continue his fairly normal life
