My pokegirl refs are finally done!!!

Currently not going to bother with SM USUM because...I don't feel like it lmfao.

There's a few more girl protagonists I could take a crack at but my love/nostalgia for the protagonists mainly spans 1-6 generation wise since customization got so heavily featured overtime and this "AU" I guess is mostly centered on "OC" versions of the protagonists from Pokémon.

This is what childhood joy is made out of.

For more context: These gals are based on my personal playthroughs of Pokémon games and the redesigns match what I'd personally think is comfy to wear/what would be cute on them ^w^

I wanna draw them with the teams I end up/have already done for them!

I'm very excited about that.

Going down the list I'll give some fun details about each gal (Yes I'll draw the boys/companion versions down the line too! They won't be left out for long.)

Gold -

I've decided for simplicity's sake "lore wise" my take on Gold is the same character from the GBC game to the remakes haha. So we get both outfits here.

Crystal-

The weird glitches I've done in Crystal virtual console are cannon to her adventure so she got caught in a time loop at the start of her journey resulting in her getting all three starters. (Because it's funny to me Dialga is messing with her)

Sapphire-

She is also the same between OG Sapphire and AS. I binge played both games and mained Sapphire both times soooo. It fits.

Her mega stone is on her cute lil bow because I despise jewelry even when it's drawn. (...yes that's why all these ladies have none)

I also am very jealous all the important characters with keystones get to have CUSTOM STUFF. It's truly not fair.

Pearl-

Haven't actually PLAYED her game yet so not much to say about her other than I adore this redesign and I love her so much. 😭

Hilda White and Rosa-

I wasn't just gonna name her "White" because that'd be silly as hell so she gets that as a last name I guess lmfao.

Her and Rosa don't have too much design changes because uhhh I happen to have a LOT of nostalgia for gen 5's protags and you can't add much to perfection. Her and Rosa have similar changes though since they deal with the cold (Especially Rosa because of kyurem's role in the story) I gave them jackets. ^w^ Girls need to be comfy.

Random detail that Pearl similarly got more coverage because that walk to snow point SUCKS.

Lady Y-

Lady Y is the reason I began this project.

When replaying Pokémon Y I decided to have my character be a cute girl who's obsessed with fashion be my vision for her character and it stuck the entire time I played.

She's a model. And Shauna is her GF.

Her full name is "Yveltal"...Because it's hilarious to me she just so happens to be named after the Pokémon known for sucking the life out of things. But her friends call her "Lady Y" because it makes her sound fancy.

She loves fighting trainers in that stupid battle chaetae which is how she funds her shopping sprees for clothes.

Her other interests are pokedex completion but ALL the pokegirls shown are deep into that so that's not a particularly special thing for her to do.

Her Ace is an Aegislash named "Sword".

She deeply apposes Lysandre because she thinks he's a pussy who can't except "The beauty of decay".

Her starter was Chespin who she basically immediately boxed lmfao. Idk what that says about her but it's what I did in my playthrough X'DDDD

Aegislash basically BECAME her starter and she had a Charizard.

Not an ask but some unsolicited advice.

I'm gonna be honest. The issue is that you have no market. Tumblr ain't the same, and considering you ain't really part of a fandom right now, you are practically invisible. Everyone here is either a from your comic or b and most likely sticking around from your undertale days and considering you ain't adding fuel and probably ain't gaining much more fans you are gonna be mostly losing customers. Now I ain't sure how your financial situation is, but if you need commissions you are going to need to branch out and put yourself out there. I personally recommend starting another fan comic since joining a fandom is a great way to get out there, and a good comic can keep viewers hooked for a while as you know. Granted, another comic is a lot of work if you wanna add a plot, so instead, you can also do just art pieces, which can be done easier than a comic. But what fandom you may be asking, I know you probably are opposed to it but I personally would try the undertale fandom simply because your status as the creator of ADC and your collaboration with AFAC can probably be used for brand recognition or make you seem more authentic if that's the right word. Though to be fair, you can do other fandoms probably just as well. Also, you need to find your audience and who is liking your art for what reason. Do they want dark and gritty fights or do they want cozy scenes of characters cuddling. Find what gets more views and likes and capitalize on it to hopefully grow the audience more.

Though granted, I'm just some random highschooler rattling off things I remember from my marketing class so take it with salt.

No, I know I have no market and sadly OC content is just hard to promote. Ideally I'd love for my original stuff to be more recognized but it's just hard. I'm done with Undertale, I don't have the passion for it anymore and I have no desire to do content for it. Period.

I don't know if I have the passion to even be part of a fandom other than Warframe (maybe I could make short Warframe fancomics? I guess that's an option.

I appreciate your piece of advice of course! I guess I'm in a point where I have to start over again and branch out but the problem is I don't know where to start. Truly I'm behind the times when it comes to algorithm and promoting myself xD

I understand that feeling. Everything is significantly different to the fic I read initially that inspired me to want to come up with a Yuu OC now that he's come into his own more, but I was really worried about it seeming like I was copying from this one fic I was reading A Promise Under the Blue Sky. I just really enjoyed the Yuu from it and wanted to come up with my own outrageous Yuu bc before it I wasn't even really all that interested in fics focused on Yuu. Then there's like... coming across very good worldbuilding and thinking it makes a lot of sense / being inspired by that, but I also feel like I need to make my own / not follow it too much bc I worry about copying. I suppose the typical thing to do is just listing that they were inspiration depending on what is being done. Like if I wanted to write something and use someone's character or something very unique I would ask them if they're okay with it, but I have seen a lot of like 'inspired by' fanfic that points people in the direction of other works / and shows appreciation etc. Anything I write won't be out for another 10 years, of course, so it's not really an issue over here, but. That is something I've worried about a little bit even though I have been in fandom long enough to know that ideas spread and it's like 'two cakes' for readers more than anything else. The anxiety still springs up occasionally of like 'ah, I better make sure I don't follow inspirations too close'

You get it, you fucking get it! And yeah, as much as I don't want to take from them to much, the ppl reading it won't care, they get more of the stuff they wanted! So what does it matter, so long as it's not a straight up copy with only some things changed to make it seem like it's different, then it's fine, hell, I was mostly going off the game, but reading/taking from the two fics for some parts, just cause I didn't know how to get it started or whatnot, but now? Now it's all just me throwing random ideas on the wall and watching it stick!

Hi. I hope you're having a good day today. I have a question about your writing. When you have the inspiration to write a story, how do you manage to know the journey on how you write the plot and get to the end?

I often see a lot of great ideas in fanfiction, but they soon die off and become incomplete. It's either from burnout or just out of ideas. Myself included when it comes to OCs interacting with characters from a show or game.

How do you manage?

I'm gonna be so real with you; I am the worst person to ask this question to. I have so many unfinished fanfictions that I've only gotten so far with before burning out. Some of them I will absolutely come back to and others might never update again and it's all just down to my flighty ADHD brain and its whims.

I know with the long fanfictions I've written and completed - it's all down to my writing situation. I never used to be great at finishing fics or consistently uploading, but at the moment I'm having the neurodivergent experience of working in an office and getting all my work done within ten minutes of the day then having to sort of 'fake work' to look busy all week. Which means from 9-5 five days a week I have nothing to do except type at my computer - and fanfiction has taken up those hours to keep me busy.

I find when I'm writing I take it chapter by chapter. I wish I could give you the real writers advice - stuff like make an outline and plan out the skeleton of your story - but admittedly I'm a gremlin and have never really had much of an outline for anything. I know vaguely where I want things to end, and a few key things I want to happen. Then day by day, I write small chapters with little scenes. I'd find it really overwhelming to sit down and think "right, time to write my mega fanfiction where all these characters go here and here and here and do XYZ", but if I sit down in the morning and think "today I'm gonna write a scene with Revali and Teba having lunch together at the flight range and talking about going to Gerudo Town" and then tomorrow I think "I'm gonna write a scene where the two of them are flying to Gerudo town and run into a Yiga" - it feels like writing lots of mini tiny fics and it's way easier.

I also like to think up a particular 'thing' I really want to write and add it to every chapter so that it motivates me to write. Sometimes it's an emotional scene or just a word pun, or a random detail about a character I just want to slot in somewhere. It doesn't have to be a key point in the chapter or anything, but sometimes I'll bash out 2000 words of plot-movement purely because I want to write a two sentence scene of Revali getting caught singing to himself in the bathroom mirror or something. Every chapter needs a little treat for the author I think.

With Grounded I mostly knew I just wanted to write about Revali's experience with PTSD and to have a coming of age and found family theme. I didn't really know the ending until I was dozens of chapters in and started tying together all the threads I was putting out. In Arisen I had a super vague outline of major plot points written on a couple post it notes, and a couple times during the process of writing I've torn them up and rewritten new ones because the story changes as I write it. I think different writing techniques work for different people, and letting my brain be spontaneous and not have to stick to a script works for me.

As for OCs interacting with canonical characters...oof I still have a hard time with that too! I've never had much of a talent for writing OCs and knowing how to slip them into a world. Beyond background characters that exist to forward a plot, I often avoid giving much personality to non-canon characters in my writing. I'd recommend talking to other creatives for advice like @axidentshappen @avenin7 @inali-of-winterfell etc who I know have lots of OCs and more experience in bringing them into the world.

Now while I currently do really need and want to work on the things I want to draw, I’ll just give yall the currently uncolored, official ref of the New Ninja!

I mostly did this cuz I thought it was about time they got an actual ref. I mean, I have drawn them many times before yet never made an actual drawing of their full body. So I did it now! And since they’re officially one of my Rc9gn ocs, I kept the ‘UnNinja’ version of them that I drew for ask (it was about what NN looks like without the ninja suit on) long ago which was at first ‘unofficial’ since I basically said you could imagine them in any way all of you wanted but now, that’s how they’ll REALLY look like!

They don’t have any official colors yet, that is one of the parts that will take quite awhile..

Like I did with Serenity, here’s some info about them! (Mostly for the ones who may not be aware of New Ninja and all the posts I did about them before along with a few more stuff I haven’t really either told or shown before about them before I had completely stopped drawing them I guess(??).)

-New Ninja is…well, a new ninja chosen to be Norrisville’s new protector in the future right after Randy, their story is supposed to take place in a few years after all the events in season 1 and 2 in the show. (All the canon characters are like kinda older at this time, the other teens like Randy are about 17-18 now, not in 9th grade anymore but in 12th grade). Randy is actually still a ninja here, still has his mask and everything even though he soon isn’t gonna quite be the main one anymore. However the Nomicon let him keep his mask for now, especially now that he’s currently helping the new Ninja. Plus he absolutely refuses to let Nomicon stop him from doing so, he refuses to just sit back and watch another random kid struggle out there as the new ninja.

-New Ninja’s real name is ?????????… yeah…. They don’t have a official name yet either, no last name, nothing. that part will also take too damn long to figure out and work on so for now, just call them ‘New Ninja’ or NN for short. (Edit: they do have a name now! Nobu! Nobu Chiharu-Sirius! But you can still call them NN!)

-they go by any pronouns! And by any I mean ANY. I know I wrote they/them there on the ref and I mostly use those for them right now too but still, I said before they can still be called by anything and I ain’t changing it. So go ahead, use any other pronouns for this kid if ya like. But I will still keep using they/them for them. (I totally didn’t just make them gender natural who is okay with any other pronouns cuz i had no clue what gender or whatever to make them identify as. Pfft- totally not-)

-as the new Ninja for Norrisville, you’d probably expect them to either be excited to be the new hero and/or take it seriously like a pro….but they’re not, they’re the complete opposite. Instead of them being giddy about this like Randy pretty much was, they’re scared for their life. This new job of theirs has not only already changed their whole life but put so much pressure on the poor kid, they already had struggles in their normal life and now they have gotten even MORE.

-New Ninja isn’t really confident, brave, social, just nothing like the out going kids out there. They’re insecure, a coward and pretty anti social. They get stressed and overwhelmed easily when they’re the center of attention, they often have bad thoughts when they think they’re not doing good enough and worry too much about not being ‘perfect’ enough. This is exactly how they were at first, before and after becoming the next chosen one. But now with Randy being there for them as support, they’re slowly starting to work on themselves to overcome their fears. Will it easily get rid of all of their problems? No. But will it help a lot? Yes!

-Randy calls New Ninja ‘Kid’ quite a lot, it was mostly just a little nickname for them at first during his time trying to help them that just came out but now he can’t help but keep calling them that every time they are together, even acting like a brother/father figure to them! New Ninja is an only child so they never knew how it felt to have any siblings of any kind. (Found family trope my beloved)

-New Ninja gets easily flustered by all sorts of praise such as compliments, affections, etc. they aren’t really used to have so much love and support from other people, not even used to have many fans yet (even though they know that the ninja always had fans for years to begin with-). Now with Randy pretty much doing this, the kid feels like some random kid being embarrassed by their parent or something.

-New Ninja hasn’t ever really gotten to have any sort of fun times and memories during their life, they don’t even know how to play video games at Greg’s Gamehole! Poor kid. But thankfully with Randy’s and Howard’s (yes, even him,) help, they’re learning.

-and uh yeah, they do know Howard too. At first they didn’t, to them he was this random guy that Randy seemed to talk a lot to so much and couldn’t help but be curious by their relationship. After some little investigation and all that crap, they’re more aware of the chubby guy now. How? That’s another part I still haven’t worked on yet.

-because of Randy pretty much being their mentor, New Ninja can’t help but mostly cling onto them. They often feel helpless without him, always asking him for help. They do learn to not always ask him for help later on during their development, yet there are times where the kid still can’t help but feel safer around him. Not just because he is the one who gives him tons of help with ninja stuff, but also cuz they really trust him and may or may not start to feel attached to him.

And that’s pretty much all I’m gonna say for now! Because if I wrote even more, it would take WAY too damn long and this would never get to be posted here. So yeah. Sorry if there will end up being some misspelled words or grammar mistakes, I’m too lazy to read all this again to check for them.

OKAY, I'm gonna start making things clear here and explain the difference between

Burger Bats AU Johnny and canon Johnny.

First of all, I respect the canon and the creator's works, and when I draw the canon I try to make it accurate, however it is different for the AU because he's a completely different version of himself and it took place AFTER the comic had ended. And I am completely aware of what kind of character Johnny is.

Burger Bats Johnny AU :

BB!Johnny is a person who's trying to change in this AU. However it doesn't mean he's a good person here, some of his characteristics, interests and traits are still there, but in a "what if Johnny was trying to change" way. This is why we call it an AU for a reason, because we know that BB!Johnny will be further from his canon self. We are aware of that. You are not supposed to mistake him for his canon self, because it's called an AU for a reason.

Canon Johnny :

We know Johnny, well from JTHM. I could describe him as unhinged, random, disturbing in a way but also humorous at the same time. He's an interesting character I must say, he has a lot of words coming out of his mouth yet still acts like the biggest hypocrite you know. He goes out there taking people's lives, even if the reason is because he didn't like someone's tie.

When I draw canon Johnny is also how I see him in the comic, I try to match his personality when I draw him. I try to make it accurate to the canon when I draw him. He's still the way he is in the comic when I draw the canon version of himself. But we are a fandom, there's a possibility that we will make up our own headcanons. I am completely aware of what JTHM is, the storyline, the characters, I am aware of that without romanticizing this idea. It's fiction, it's a literature about a guy living in a constant horror.

I do love canon Johnny as a character as much as BB!Johnny. I love them equally. But at the same time I also want you guys to separate BB!Johnny as an AU from the canon.

The purpose of this AU is not meant to be accurate. This is a multifandom AU that coexists with OCs, so it means there's some characters from different pieces of media in here, not just JTHM, another example that's part of the AU is Pou, LITERALLY POU the game, and it's meant to be just for fun and it isn't supposed to be taken seriously because of the wacky jokes (mostly just between me and my friends, mind you I'm not the only person part of this and I'm not gonna bring up any names for their sake and protection.)

I'm also gonna explain the relationship between Angel and BB!Johnny because it's also relevant.

They are not in a relationship in this. They are not supposed to. They're complicated and toxic, they kinda don't like each other but they hangout and do what friends do. Sort of like enemy-friends, rival-friends whatever you call it. And if you see me draw them together like a couple, it's not related to the lore, it's just something I draw when I'm bored or just trying to have fun. Again, it is not meant to be taken seriously. And I do not condone whatever the heck they do.

It's one sided. Johnny doesn't reciprocate Angel's feelings for him. He doesn't feel the same way. My friend and I had discussed and we agreed. But we also like to joke about how they're like an old divorced couple by how they interact with each other.

There are people who don't like this, I understand that. And I am not forcing anyone to indulge in something they don't like. But refusing to let people have fun and explore their creativity? That's a different story now.

We are just a bunch of teenagers trying to have fun, trying to be creative. It's just we would do in our free time.

Juno Beezlebub/"J.B. Darksun"

New OC lol. Or ig a OC who's a Jack Bright Rewrite. Yeh no I'm not kidding THIS IS GUYS IS TECHNICALLY A DR. BRIGHT REWRITE/REPLACEMENT (Not Canon but meh).

So this is Juno, or well thats what's he's referred to (I say he btw, Juno actually uses Any/All Pronouns including Neo Pronouns considering anytime bro dies, they have their soul implemented into a new body). Juno was never his real name. His real name was Jacklynn Brelskae, but he died after being crushed during a containment breach while carrying an amulet (aka the blue thing with the weird soul in it). Juno always had it on her neck. (Bcs honestly to Juno, carrying it in hand is just a way to lose it, lol) , but when a random personnel found them, this personnel have been possessed by Juno's conscience. Juno finding out he was in a new body he had a identity Crisis. However he.... couldn't remember his old name... Like it was erased from his memory...

Juno was given the nickname "Juno Beezlebub" by a member of staff who was a higher level of him at the time, but he eventually adopted this name since that's all he remember of having as a name, well yes it wasn't his REAL NAME, but to him, "I rather have this than be associated with my father... God I hate him..." Oh yeh speaking of Juno's dad, his father [REDACTED] was a important member of the Foundation at the time (in my SCP universe, not canon) so Juno was forced to work at the foundation, also Juno's dad...... Was a pile of trash! Like this frikin man was DISGUSTING (now I'm not gonna say what Juno's father did..... But they are very... disturbing to the least....

Over the years Juno has kinda had a distain for most of the personnel, especially Clef, but he tries to be upbeat & goofy, even it does mean he accidentally gets himself hurt. He also was in many different relationships with different genders over the years of him just... Existing w/o his permission. He's also a trendsetter & whatever year/era it is atm, he wears what is there.

Juno nowadays randomly leaves the foundation & comes back randomly, no one knows why he does, but then again dude doesn't really like working there but due to his importance (& of course him occasionally just frikin dying for no reason other than his own bad luck, mostly from being crushed). He's still traumatized by his father's actions & the time he first died that those emotions, including his Immortality (as his soul is LITERALLY binded to his glowing amulet) makes his emotions change.... A lot.... So one point he is calm & collected, next he's being a goofball, & then like a hour later he is literally sobbing violently. But for the most part he's the smug Fella who has a weird obsession with chainsaws & has a list of things he can't rlly do (like leave the foundation/his job whneevre she wants or insult ppl he doesn't like or he'll, have chainsaws or any sharp object in his vicinity, but bros's like old, he doesn't frikin care, they alreadybeen through shite) (Also bcs to me, a jack bright rewrite must at least have those like 2 things primarily. Again at least to me)

Outside of the foundation, his name is redacted & is rlly only refered to as "J.B. Darksun" due to his familiar ties to the Darksuns (Markham Darksun & his father Danny Sparksvale, both OCs of mine who are also apart of my SCP Universe). (Juno is actually Markham's Grandparent)

(Also a frend of mine whom i call Alt says Juno looks like the type of guy to bite pplmat gae bars, now I won't confirm nor deny this, idk yur guess lol)

YOOO HELLO welcome to the blog :D i hope you enjoy your stay here and thank you !! i finally finally gave some of them names so I can make tags, that's mainly why it took so long to answer this 😭

Azalea, Melanie, :o), MC, Gabriel, Nigel, Kian, Theo.

Here's some contextual and random facts about them lolol:

Azalea and Melanie are characters of a webcomic I'm making ! It's just a little passion project that I'm slowly working on. (emphasis on slowly)

Theo is just a nickname. His actual name is Theodore. MC's name is still TBD.

They're also gonna be in a comic thing :D but more episodic and slice of life-y instead of an overarching plot.

Kian makes pipe bombs in his basement.

Kian is based on a rock I got on a random beach. I took a picture of it and put a bunch of stickers and gave it a personality a few years ago bc I thought it would be cute 💀 I have other rocks that still needs to be gijinka-fied LMAO (my fave is this one beach glass named Kelsey)

I was debating on naming the jester clown guy JJ but i decided against it, it's cute but ehh idk.. I might change my mind on it if I can't think of anything.

Kian and friends + the jester guy + that one teeth guy that I didn't include here (whoops) are mostly just one-offs and don't really have an ongoing story. I made them mostly cause I wanted to design a cool looking character. Maybe I'll do smthn with the rock friends but I don't really have any ideas :P

Nigel and Gabriel are part of this western cowboy universe thing I'm doing on the side. A lot of wonderful people have made ocs for it :DD !!!

Gabriel has a twin sister named Mica, who also helps around their church.

Nigel is just an amalgamation of the kinks i like (that will not b disclosed !!!!!). Cause I thought 'hey, why don't I make a blorbo that has all my kinks that would b awesome ahaha' and look at me now.

Also BTW i know Nigel is technically a cop but he's more of a classic cowboy than an actual police officer. I added that random fact just for the cowboy³ joke. ACAB.

I was just doodling some stuff my oc can do in the welcome home world. since they're nocturnal maybe they do art at night though they might take a lot of naps in the day to make up for switching sleep patterns, they're very indecisive and can't stick to one, it's either night owl or early bird food you know? i even thought of something fun they can do like sew bug plushies that become new bugs for the world though maybe she wouldnt know about it like sleep walking, or have bug themed furniture since she lives in a tree, I was inspired by coraline ^w^ though poor Eddie I'm sure although frank might love it but he'd have a heart attack if he stepped in and saw only bug stuff,maybe it can me like flower themed /leaves you know? Very wimsy.

also as a kid I always wanted a character's tree home like the Bernstein bears you know? Or twilight sparkle's tree library, anyways I'm still working on what her home would look like, maybe she'd make bug ceramic stuff that helps hold her things like perfumes or hair brushes,honey pot ants that are actually ceramic honey pots, i was gonna make some myself for my own but unfortunately the antenna broke off ^^; maybe i can do better next time.

shed be an emperor moth because it matches my main moth oc I use as my little character, I mostly wanted her to have different hobbies and recycles whatever she can from others to do random crafts each day, got bread and a glue bottle that's got a bit of glue left and food dye? She has a craft for that like making clay ect. (She likes howdy but she gets a bit nervous about shopping, cant make the best jokes when you get nervous or shy you know?)Or randomly she wants to make a random art project for her home she'll just do it, it is her own first home after all, she loves making it so everyone is welcome can fit and enjoy too, her home is always sleep over ready if anyone ever needs it/would like to.

This is just a little oc ramble I wanted to do, I've had it in my head for a while haha.

- I wanted something that invoked Adam's first wife, Lilith, because I adore her and have for many years. So my blog title just sounded good in my head, idk 😶

- Writing fanfiction, playing video games, riding my tricycle, decorating my house, obsessive eyebrow plucking, colouring books. Yard sales and thrifting. idk watching movies, rotting on tumblr, do those count? 💀 I'd say reading because that used to be my number one, but I have difficulty focusing these days.

If you work, what's your profession?

- I'm currently away for disability reasons but I work a government job full-time usually.

If you could have any job you wish, what would it be?

- I'd own a used bookstore or a vintage/antiques store and it would have cats living in it. Something where I could surround myself with things I love and be cozy.

- I think I'm good at writing, and I have a decent eye for interior decorating. I'm fairly witty and I think I'm funny. I'm also excellent at being a pain in the ass, I'll tell you.

- I'm a natural hater, though I try not to be. I hate moral guardians, and I hate fascism (no doy). I hate gatekeepers, and arrogance. But on a lighter note I hate olives.

- I'm overly sensitive, and I can stick my foot in my mouth at times. I tend to self-isolate IRL instead of dealing with my anxieties, of which there are many.

If you could change any detail of your life right now, what would it be?

- I want my mental health struggles to cease so I can go back to work and feel like I'm contributing again. I also want to write more fanfiction again, my writer's block is killing me.
