Trinket is one of the more experienced of the contestants, having arrived here long ago, by the standards of a very new world. They've learnt a lot about how everything works in that time, alongside their siblings, seeing life change around them. Started nothing much himself, but did see object society before many things began. To be fair, most other objects from those years are also still around. Content with simplicity, for the most part. Prefers to listen than to speak, though doesn't mind talking when asked in most cases. Generally laidback and softspoken. Didn’t join the show on the best of terms, coming here in an uncommon impulsive moment. But it'll be a fun story to tell, at least. Doesn’t see themself as nearly as wise as others have thought they are. Just as someone who tries to do the best they can.

likes: making connections with people. there’s so much to hear from just about anyone. writing notes on little things they find interesting. dislikes: people not caring how their actions affect others. pointless arguing.

power: able to grow crystals, possibly some kind of quartz. partially connected to emotions, which is… slightly frustrating.

fav colour: warm yellow.

orientation and gender: unlabelled. look there's only so many ways i can say this without just writing an essay on phosphor's worldbuilding in this topic. coming at some point probably.

relationships: their family, three siblings. normally they get along well, but unfortunately, a good thing can never be true all of the time. has several other friends, but no one they frequently contact.

Thinking about deltarune (entirely normal) and kris and their family and the end of chapter four…

Im considering writing a more complete analysis and lore post myself because the writer in me demands to theorize but rn im briefly gonna talk about a minor thing at the end of chapter four (small spoilers below)

So i know lots of people are having fun with the implication that soriel is a thing, but i do wanna look wt things from kris’ perspective for a moment there.

Even if soriel isn’t canon and toriel and sans are just becoming fast friends but don’t go anywhere further (because lets be real, there is a much higher emphasis on friendship and found family in ut/dr as opposed to romance, and a man and a woman can just be friends and nothing more/not every relationship has to be romantic or sexual), everyone’s first thought probably is that soriel is a thing.

Sans’ ‘joke’ about ‘befriending’ toriel (implied in a romantic if not sexual nature) is very overt, and for us as players, he’s the type of guy whrre you can’t really tell what’s a lie and what’s not. For Kris, though, who probably doesn’t have this background, the overt nature of the comment is even more so.

And then they come home after a basically two back to back harrowing experiences to toriel and sans dancing in the living room, alone, with Toriel obviously being drunk. Even if they are just friends having a good time, it looks suspiciously like a date at first glance

Ive seen people talking about how the theme of chapter three was sort of moving to the future but clinging to the past, so think about it from kris’ perspective. You go in, see your mom (who refuses to give your dad the time of day or even be friendly, as pushy as asgore is being about the past and getting back together to the point of bordering on suspicous), having a great time with a man you barely know but who’s already made a suggestive comment about his relationship to her…

and they go upstairs and just hear them talking and talking and laughing and dancing, but each time they speak kris is seen turning over and putting their pillow over their head, as though trying to block it out (to little success).

Even if they are just friends, and toby fox is just messing around with the fanbase, it’s gotta be rough for kris, especially coming off of chapter three and tenna’s numerous remarks about ‘the good old days’ where the dreemurs were a happy healthy family. It’s probably one thing to realize they’re a child of divorce, and another thing to acknowledge that her mom can possibly be interested in someone else or have someone other than asgore be interested in her, especially considering they can’t seem to let go of the past.

I think lost my train of thought along the way wy but to them, it probably feels like it’s just another nail in the hammer of how things can’t go back to the way they used to be. And to me, even if soriel isn’t canon, is just sad.

PAIRING: dean winchester x ditzy!winchester!reader, sam winchester x ditzy!winchester!reader (both platonic)

SUMMARY: maybe the winchester brothers should have made sure you were doing your homework instead of letting you goof off in your room; it only made you more stubborn.

A/N: i’m pretty sure this is very stupid and probably not that well written (if you can’t tell by the summary). I gotta start getting into writing again on tumblr 😭 but anyways this is based off this post!! mentions of getting hurt from a gun.

They should have known you weren’t doing your homework like you promised. You were never one who liked to do your schoolwork, even after being homeschooled due to the hunting life you were born into. It wasn’t like you couldn’t, just most of the time, you never put much effort into trying to.

It’s why most times when Sam gave you work to complete by yourself, you’d hold off until Sam’s patience wore thin and he begrudgingly helped you out. Not that Sam didn’t like to help his baby sister out, but he knew you could do it if you tried. Then again, it felt sort of nice to know someone relied on him and not Dean for once.

Maybe the first sign they should’ve noticed was how quickly you sprung up to go your room at the mention of school work. Once perched on Dean’s lap as he sat in one of the library chairs, your fingers twiddling with his flannel, then up and scurrying to your room when Sam only asked if you got any done yet.

A look of confusion spread on their faces and a quick, “be careful!” left Dean when he heard your little giggle as your thigh high socks made you slide down the hallway. But the groans and huffs of annoyance soon heard throughout the bunker caused them to force away their questions and continue on with their day. Dean drinking his beer and pretending to read the lore books while Sam actually read.

It was only a little more than half an hour later when they heard your door slam open and your feet paddling against the hard floor that they looked up. Sam stood up, walking quickly to where he heard you coming before your figure collided with his. He stumbled back only slightly, his hand grabbing onto your elbows to still you. It looked like it affected you more than it did him, Sam having to hold you up to stop you from getting knocked down on the floor.

“Hey, hey,” he spoke softly, his face painted with concern. “Are you okay?” You nodded your head quickly, basically hopping on your tippy toes with excitement. “I did it!” you giggled.

Sam raised his eyebrow. “Did what? Your homework?” he asked. He almost congratulated you before he saw the look on your face. Pure confusion and slight disgust. “What—no. Why would I want to do that?”

Of course not. Sam hummed with slight disappointment, but he didn’t get another word in edgewise before you were squirming out of his grasp and speed walking over to Dean. Your hand grabbed at his sleeve, trying to drag your older brother out of his chair.

Dean only looked at you with an amused expression, not moving a single inch even when you used your full body strength to try forcing him up. It wasn’t until the tone of your whines started getting more annoyed that he relented. His hand grabbed yours, making sure you kept your balance. “I’m up, I’m up. Don’t get your pants in a twist, sweetheart,” he grumbled, setting his beer on the table as you already started pulling him towards your room.

You didn’t even bother to question his phrase, even though you knew you were wearing a skirt, not pants. You just continued to drag Dean as Sam followed behind you two silently. You were babbling on about how you had to show Dean something but never mentioning what that something was.

When you finally got to your room Dean looked around in slight confusion. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. An army of stuffed animals still on the pink covers, your backpack, where you stuffed all your school papers, still peaked out of your closet unopened. Neither Dean nor Sam saw any reason why you’d want them in your room.

It wasn’t until you held up your computer. “See that, Dee?” you giggled, almost pushing the screen into his face. Sam grabbed the laptop from you carefully, but still held it so Dean could see.

“What am I supposed to be seeing, sweetheart?” he asked, looking at your screen. All he saw was a video game, that only took him a short second before he questioned if you should be playing it. But then again, he wouldn’t be bringing that up right now, he’d leave that to Sam.

A pout rested on your face and an annoyed huff left your mouth. “Mhm, I won!” you answered, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Dean nodded silently at your words. “Good for you,” he muttered.

You waited for Dean to add anymore but when he didn’t you groaned, taking a small step forward. One of your arms wrapped around his while the other pointed at the laptop screen. “I shot all those people! Now you can really give me a gun!”

That got your brothers’ attention, their heads turning to look at you. Dean grinned but his eyes stayed focused on your face like he was trying to find a glimpse at any sort of prank. Yet he found none.

Dean’s face hardened within seconds. “No,” he suddenly declared.

He could only think of all the scenarios of you getting hurt because of a damn gun. He hated the idea of you forgetting to turn off the safety and hurting yourself or someone taking your gun and using it against you. He especially hated the idea that you needed a gun in the first place. You don’t need a gun, you have him.

Sam nodded slowly, agreeing with his brother before shutting your laptop. “Video games aren’t anything like real life. We can’t make the decision to give you a gun based off it,” Sam sighed.

A frown fell on your face and you unwrapped yourself from your brothers, snatching the laptop from your other brother. “We hunt literal monsters and I still can’t use a gun?” you pouted, throwing your laptop onto your bed and crossing your arms.

“Well, when I don’t have to worry about the gun smacking you because of the recoil or you dropping it from the noise, I’ll think about it,” Dean grumbled.

“Besides,” Sam cut in with a small, apologetic smile, “you don’t need a gun; we gave you a knife last year incase there was a time you needed protection and we couldn’t be there, remember?”

You huffed dramatically, turning your head to the side in frustration. “Yeah, but that’s not the same,” you pouted. Sam nodded slightly, thinking of what to say to hopefully get you to agree. “Well, maybe in a few years we can revisit it, but for now, Dean and I don’t think it’s the best idea.”

“That’s not fair!” you declared, stomping your foot against the floor.

Dean rolled his eyes at your little temper tantrum. What was the big deal? So what if you can’t get a gun? It’s better than shooting off your face because you forgot to turn the safety on when you tried messing with it. “You know what’s not fair—” he started, eyes narrowing on you.

“Listen,” Sam interjected quickly, giving Dean a quick glare. “we can talk about this later. In the meantime both of you need to calm down. Go watch a movie or something.”

It seemed like your pout lessened and your frustration dissipating as the seconds went by. “Only if I get to pick,” you muttered.

Dean scoffed at that, his eyes rolling slightly. “I am not watching Gossip Girl with you again,” he grumbled. Your eyes narrowed on your eldest brother and before Sam could blink both of you were squabbling like toddlers.

Sam sighed, running a hand through his hair. He didn’t bothering trying to stop you two; that would lead nowhere. With a huff, he was already heading out the door, knowing the fight wouldn’t lead anywhere else. By now you probably already forgot about not getting your way anyways. “Do your homework, please!” Sam said before stepping out of the room.

“I’ll do it later!” you yelled back, barely paying attention as you tried messing with Dean. Sam could hear you giggle as Dean probably pushed you onto your bed. Sam could only sigh, hiding his smile as he moved into the dean cave. He began setting up the movie he knew both his older brother and little sister would like; there was only so much energy in you before you’d want to cuddle up to your brothers and watch tv.

None of this is fine tuned but it’s the basic of whatever I got. I changed some stuff to suit my needs so…so I’m sorry if it’s a bit confusing but here we go!

This is a version of her specifically meant to know Wukong before BMW events. (Other versions of her like modern au or whatever I need her for don’t follow this but have similar things)

She is an immortal, one birthed of fire, chaos, destruction, (rebirth if you think about how fire culls the land for new life to grow), the embodiment of the roaring fires on the sun basically.

So in her younger days she is not exactly well liked, shes strong and was someone who didn’t like to held down. She didn’t outright disobey or was rebellious but if something wasn’t right or if she felt slighted/felt someone was slighted she would make that shit known. Quick to anger.

Because of this she had pissed off the wrong person, they placed a curse on her - (again not fine tuned) and it basically is like a black tar root that starts from her heart and starts spreading and coiling around her body the more emotion she feels, specifically negative ones like (seen negative) anger, hatred, fear, all those kinds of emotions.

She can heal, but the pain and the curse will spread to such agonizing levels that if she pushes it too far it will take over her body and encapsulate her/put out the fire in her which keeps her immortal. She of course tries to break the curse but there isnt anything that works. It’s like a spore that is attached to her heart that has molded to her and wont go.

Unfortunately this makes her shut down emotionally, she doesnt have a support system so as much as she tries to fight the agony gets worse and worse. Her fire dims, not dead, just dims. Kavara at this point just does her duties, keeps to herself, and represses all emotions whatsoever. She’s free of pain and honestly doesnt have to worry about shit, so it becomes her new norm.

In comes Sun Fucking Wukong.

The charming egotistical chaotic monkey yaoguai that wants to play immortal. She hears of him mostly, but remains indifferent. Until one day they finally meet.

Probably the worst thing that happens to a lot of people actually…..because Sun Wukong is the first to make her laugh. Ever. Not one of those “haha i am victorious” laughs she might have had when fighting back in the day. No, a full on belly aching laugh. Tears down her face and a wide pretty smile, something she honestly wasn’t capable of/thought she had. (She’s beautiful but never thought about it I guess)

This is the first time she realizes that HAPPY or positive emotions dont make the curse spread.

Wukong of course takes this as his sign to KEEP making her laugh (when he isnt being a little shit in heaven and to others).

Over time they do become friends, he learns of her curse, she learns of his goals. Unfortunately for everyone else Wukong influences her to stop being an emotionless doll and she becomes his partner in crime. Best chaotic duo ever.

THERES MORE BUT THIS IS JUST SOME OF HER STORY!!!

I didn’t wanna give the WHOLE lore, if you want more let me know. It’s quite a bit and a mix of angst & happiness.

Same with a version of her that meets Destined One. It’s a different AU and one that is a bit on the angsty side but I will ALWAYS give a happy ending.

Digimon Adventure Wrestling AU (Part 1)

(Minor content warning: some of these gifs, because they're wrestling, might have blood in them! I'll do my best to avoid what I can but just take note of this if that makes you squeamish).

After so long of initially talking about it I am FINALLY starting this post. Well the first part of this post. The initial idea was to just post EVERYTHING and I realized that that's probably not a great idea (given that also I only have 30 gifs/pictures I can put in a post), so I'm going to do these in parts. For the Adventure kids I'll do these a few at a time, depending on what characters intersect the most with each other or if I feel like certain characters should have their own. Characters will probably come up multiple times within various posts given how much I've brainrotted this so much. I have so many storylines built up for this but not really the energy to write fanfics for them (yet) so I'm gonna just spit out all my ideas here.

For the 02 kids (probably not including Kari and TK given their connections with Tai and Matt) they'll probably have their own dedicated post all together.

Also I'm going to be using dub names that's just what I'm used to

Also also, I don't know a TON about wrestling since I've only just really gotten into it recently, so apologies for that, also most of my wrestling knowledge is AEW with some Japanese wrestling knowledge about various joshis and NJPW wrestlers so my comparisons/thoughts will be based on that!

And before starting, for all my Digimon friends who don't know wrestling lingo: Face: Short for babyface, a good guy. Does things the crowd cheers for, and wrestles very honorably. Heel: A villain. The crowd boos them and they revel in it, they're dishonorable and will fight dirty. Tweener: An in-betweener, sort of like chaotic neutral. Questionable morals who does stuff for themselves. Kayfabe: The idea that none of this is fake and it's all real.

For all intents and purposes, consider everything happening in these posts in terms of story beats are all in kayfabe. They're all real and not scripted for television entertainment.

Ok without further ado let's get going with some basic lore:

So the setting is the Odaiba Wrestling Federation (OWF), a promotion in Japan that was started in Odaiba. The original 8 are the first major members to join/catapult it to prominence.

TAI KAMIYA

The de facto, number one babyface of OWF. He's the main man and the first major wrestler of the company. And you know who I think of when I think of that? Everyone's favorite fucking cowboy, Hangman Adam Page

So like, listen to me. Hear me out. They both are guys who help the company rise to prominence. Hangman is a cowboy, Tai is very much similar in terms of his fiery attitude. Hotshots, guys who are big but not overly so (this is early Hanger I'm talking about not present day Massive Hanger), and really good in the ring. He's strapping, he's handsome, he's funny, he's great in the ring. People love him!

I imagine while he just goes by Tai Kamiya he's got the nickname of The Dragon of Courage (after the Option Card from BT14 of the Digimon TCG)

And his finishing move/most notable move would be a spear called the Brave Tornado

But I will say he also needs some sort of Buckshot Lariat (the Nova Blast?) I think a big beefy guy with wild hair and a wild look in his eyes should be allowed to buckshot lariat a dude. I think in this AU where Tai is BIG both in height and in mass he deserves to just have a real fucking haymaker of a hit.

(Like come on, Greymon is a big guy and even though he's shooting out a lot of fireballs he does get some hits in, we gotta reflect that with Tai).

So Tai is a beloved face who is constantly moving upwards in the company, right? Well, for those who know everyone's favorite cowboy (apologies my Digimon oomfs but we're here for storytime) they know that after his meteoric high, he's gotta have his fall from grace.

Despite Tai Kamiya being the go to wrestler in OWF he is going to hit rock bottom and turn from OWF's greatest face to one of their most terrifying heels. But for the full story on that? We gotta look at Adventure's lone wolf.

MATT ISHIDA

So Matt I've had a lot of thoughts for. Like Tai, he joined incredibly early on, and I imagine the two of them have worked together for a long time, tagged together, etc.

They're long time friends who played a big role in OWF's come up. I'm kind of imagining it sort of like The Elite from AEW? The core dudes who help made the company as notable as it is and allowed it to live long enough to flourish.

I'm trying to think of what their tag name would be but I'm not entirely sure. But anyways, I don't think Matt finds his analogue in either of the Jacksons, despite the idea of the Young Bucks/Elite connection thought I had. I have other thoughts.

Let's be real, Matt is the Cool Guy(tm). Who else is a cool guy?

Easiest Orange Cassidy comparison of my entire life. While Matt has a lot of emotional turmoil for many reasons, those will come into play later. Early on in his tenure with OWF, he comes off too cool for school, incredibly lackadaisical and laidback, but also INCREDIBLY skilled. He knows what he's doing, and he's one of the major favorites, too. I don't think he would do the hands in his jean pockets gimmick but he'd have something similar. Maybe a jacket.

I'm also thinking his his signature move is an Orange Punch called Kaiser Nail (I know the Orange Punch features no claws or slashing but like cut me a little slack). Just a big ol' fucking haymaker of a hit.

"But Sloane" you're wondering, how does such a cool, unbothered guy beef with Tai, especially when they're friends! Well, that's the FIRST part of Matt's deal in OWF, the other will make things clear.

Enter Matt's heel turn, inspired by his getting manipulated into going against Tai by Cherrymon, during the Dark Masters arc. Matt joins a stable of heels called The Dark Masters and immediately assumes leadership considering his tenure in OWF and his skill, and their real world analogue in Jon Moxley and the Death Riders.

(How do the other Dark Masters play into this considering this is an AU focused on the humans? Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. It's not important. What is important is the fact that he has a bunch of powerful lackeys behind him in his goal to uplift OWF through fear and pain.)

NOW, if anyone who is reading this watches AEW I know you're gonna be like "But Sloane, the Death Riders shit is bad" presumably, I mean I and everyone I watch wrestling with thinks that right now. It's not great! It's been way too long in the tooth but I'll hold off from expanding on that more because this is a Digimon wrestling AU not "Sloane offers her thoughts on the state of AEW". But I promise you, unlike TK (TK in this sense being Tony Khan, owner of AEW, not TK Takaishi. This will probably be confusing I might make a note of that in the future), I have THE VISION. I have a PLAN. And here it is:

Matt looks at all of his longtime friends/coworkers (the other Digidestined in this AU), thinks none of them are taking this seriously anymore. Everyone is getting soft and weak and coasting by. Sure, there are new champions getting the belt, sure, there are great matches happening, but where's the drive? Where's the passion? Where's the love of wrestling and not just doing this as a show? He's the one that has to ignite a FIRE back under OWF's collective ass to get them back in shape. And of course, who's at the head of it all?

That's right, one Tai Kamiya.

(I mean, come on, with how much homoerotic tension there is in wrestling, especially anything Hangman is involved in, Tai and Matt are perfect here)

So Matt has to bring Tai down and drag him all the way to his lowest possible point. He wants to see if Tai still has the fire in him to pull himself up from hell. He's going to embarrass Tai, humiliate him, and worst of all? He's going to do it by getting the most important person to Tai in the entire company out of his way. His best friend, his manager, the man who has been by his side since he first joined OWF.

Izzy Izumi.

For now, though, I'm going to end this here, if only because this is already getting too dang long for its own good. The next post will dig into the core of Tai's fall from grace as a face to a heel, Izzy's role in the story as his manager, TK's involvement being Matt's younger brother, and of course, the big man himself causing trouble, Matt.

Yayyyyy omg finally have drawn portraits of the four main characters!!!! I'll show the process of Jenson's first and then them all four together. Though it's a shame the Seb/Fernando ones are older, I think it's hopefully obvious how much I've improved since November?

Look at him in all his handsome, princely glory 🥹 It's funny, I'm always happy with the second sketch and initial lineart, and then I start coloring it and I absolutely hate it, and it takes a significant amount of time into the painting for me to like it again. And then I reach a certain point and I'm in love with it again. Ugh though I gotta say, I love drawing the curls, it's just so 18th century, but at the same point, man I always will love my original lineart for the hair the best ah. Also yes I absolutely had to give him a big ass hat with feathers, he really is that kinda guy to me. I originally drew a bicorne and then realized that those don't really exist until basically almost a century later oops, so tricorne it is!!

Okay now omg look at them all together 🥹

Haha wow I have improved a lot! Just like the Seb/Fernando ones, Mark and Jense's were meant to be put together. I think there's a lot of inherent characterization in their poses that highlight the difference between them. Mark is looking up, very wistful, looking up to greater people, greater things. Jenson's head is tilted down, almost looking at the viewer, he is very satisfied with his role and revels in it, he's here to slay!

Okay, yes, lore, characterization, sorry that it is so far down on the post!!

Jense would probably be the fan favorite if this AU was an actual book or show or something. He's the guy you randomly find while browsing Wikipedia and you're like, woah this guy is so cool??? Unlike Sebmarknando, he doesn't really have the same level of angst, he's kinda just chilling. He's a bit harder to write a lore post about, because he's basically that character who is always magically around the corner, ready to witness some crazy thing and just breeze past it.

He is less linked to Seb than people like Mark and Fernando, because he's basically just his personal minister of transportation(read: horse fucker), so he avoids a lot of the relationship complications and drama, but that isn't to say he's completely uninvolved. He really likes Seb, and loves to hang around with him and serve him, but he's not as beholden to him. He's who everyone goes to air their grievances or to get away from the others, and he's very happy with this role. He's generally willing to play any side in an argument, but does tend to have a pretty big soft spot for Seb overall(Seb also gives him cuteness aggression, and he wants to bite him. Especially when Seb puffs himself up and acts super bratty when he gets offended at not being seen as a proper ruler.)

He's royalty from other kingdom, but pledged his loyalty to Seb's kingdom when he was quite young and has served him(his father first) ever since. He started off somewhat low in the military, rose to a pretty high rank, was a renowed war hero, and then ended up retiring pretty early to tend to Seb's horses. That's an oversimplification, but yeah. He liked the military life, was very good at it, but decided he had done enough, and wanted to be involved in more direct service, albeit more laid back. As I mentioned in Mark's post, Mark *really* doesn't understand his choice to do this, because if Mark had been in Jense's position, he can't ever imagine being able to let all that go and living the quiet life.

He is the palace whore, everyone has been with him honestly. It'll be like, some man walks into his bedroom, only to see Jenson in bed with his wife, but instead of being angry, he's like "wow you couldn't even wait for me??" He's just very carefree, and happy to just slut around and tend to Seb's horses.

I think he definitely still advises Seb, and would go to battle if truly need be, but generally seems to be living in a different world than the weird psychosexual homoerotic political drama that the others seem to be living in. But as I said, it's not like he doesn't contribute to it! He loves to goad Fernando, and constantly plays devil's advocate in "debates" between Fernando and Seb. He's also obviously the one that keep "accidentally" locking them in rooms and forgetting where the key is.

Sorry if this isn't very explanatory, I hope it gives a general idea to the type of character he is???? As always, let me know if you have any questions! I kinda struggled on what to write here because I'm finishing this at almost 8 am 😭 so I'm not sure if it's great or not. But basically you need to know: horse fucker who is generally breezy and carefree but also can be a bit of a menace to society every once in a while.

What is my blog all about?

Doctor Who is my first love! Most of my posts will be related to Doctor Who in one shape or another. I love celebrating new episodes of Doctor Who. I enjoy considering older episodes as well and just exploring the lore as a fan and creative writer. ...that said, I'm also human. This blog can't and won't be solely Doctor Who themed.

As a bisexual, agender person I am not going to be quiet on political matters. There are a lot of ignorant people who want so much to pretend like queer people are a problem to be solved or that we simply never existed in the first place.

I will be loud when I feel compelled to say something. This blog may not be designed for politics as a primary source of content but it would be irresponsible of me to be apathetic to current events. I have a spouse and four cats! Three of them are black cats and my oldest kitten is a fifteen year old brown/white/orange tabby. She's my sweet old lady. I say sweet ironically because she will bite you. ...doesn't affect how much I love her though. She and I have been together for 13 years at the time of making this post 😻

Aside from that I also enjoy finding pretty or pleasant things in the world be it through nature, fashion, or other mediums. Romance novels and poetry have their place. Sometimes I write ideas around high fantasy or Doctor Who fan fiction. I pride myself on having excellent handwriting. Sometimes I draw. Played percussion and brass in high school. Was a theatre major for the first half of college and graduated with a degree in philosophy. Today, my day job entails a lot of organization, answering calls, and being generally helpful. Maybe I'll keep at it, maybe I'll find something different in a few years! Point being: I enjoy helping people who help people.

I love cherry ice cream, cheesy potatoes, and things you might find in overly expensive hipster spots like arugula flatbread or the overwhelming scent of truffle oil. I enjoy food, and by extension eating food with people, that don't hold fast to conventions. Pineapple belongs on pizza as much as chili is both a soup and belongs on hot dogs. Also, straws have zero holes.

I gotta start posting some OC art/lore

So I have like two separate stories I’ve been wanting to write and make art of and I might post them here if anyone’s interested

I’ll explain some basic lore for now:

So the first story is a rewrite of an old story I wrote when I was like 12/13. (I had wanted to make my own magical girl story but I had never watched any magical girl shows/anime besides Star vs. TFoE so it just ended up being generic as heck) but the main premise now is this girl named Maggie who discovers she has nature-magical powers and she has to use her powers as “Miss Magnolia” (is what im calling her for now unless stuff changes lol) to defeat the “Time Miser” (again, names may change later) who is trying to “play God” and, in its efforts to do this, is literally destroying space and time itself. Miss Magnolia works with some other friends who also have magical powers (I’ll explain the magic system later on when it’s more developed) to defeat the Time Miser and fix the universe. Just kind of a magical girl-fantasy-friendship-is-magic type story, though I do want to make something unique with this kind of trope, and maybe add some horror aspects >:3 it’s still in the brainstorming process so we’ll see how it goes XD

The other story is one that I was working on last year about a cowboy who goes by Sheriff Cactusthumb and he’s travelling on a dirt road to his deceased sister, Callie Ashbury,’s house… he’s trying to figure out who may have murdered her… or if she even *was* murdered… (some even believe that Cactusthumb murdered his sister)…

So that story will be more of a mystery, where Sheriff Cactusthumb and his new friend Charlotte Merriwether find clues as to what may have happened to his sister, though there will also be some fanatasy aspects cuz it may or may not involve some magic and alternate universe… heheh…

OKAY SO, I just watched Red Shows and the Seven Dwarfs again, and I gotta say, while it's not PERFECT, it's still a damn shame it's not being talked about more. That marketing crew DAMNED this movie and not even the assurances of the cast themselves could undo the damage, but I'm here with the hopes that maybe, just maybe, this movie can get the attention it deserves.

CRITIQUES

Unremarkable villains. Regina is well designed and acted, but she's given very little to do until the end. She also has virtually no relationship with Snow White, despite being her step mother. We also have Prince Average, who is delightfully pathetic, but also doesn't provide much. Not horrible antagonists, but not super fleshed out, either.

The first few minutes are pretty rushed. Snow White getting the shoes and fleeing her step mother, who doesn't recognize her, is almost blink-and-you-miss it. The writing in general is a tad clunky in spots, cheesy even. Nothing horrible, though, it won't ruin the viewing experience.

We're not given too much insight on the characters themselves, particularly the dwarves, the Fearless Seven. I feel like I can let Snow White slide a bit as we all know who Snow White is at her core, but these dwarves are VERY different from any interpretation I've seen. Outside of Merlin, who gets the bulk of the screentime between the seven of them and character development, we know basically nothing about them outside their character traits (i.e., Arthur is strong, Hans loves food and is a good chef, Jack is a priss, and the triplets are geniuses). I'm not saying we need backstory or anything on all of them, but a little bit more substance would be neat.

POSITIVES

SNOW WHITE IS A QUEEN AND I LOVE HER. I love her design. I love that she's happy with herself. SHE'S SO STRONG. SHE CAN BENCH 250. SHE GETS TO SHOW OFF THAT STRENGTH HERE AND THERE. I also love that she's not necessarily a pushover. She's sweet, she's nice, but can bite back sometimes. All in all one of my favorite Snow White interpretations.

THE ANIMATION IS FANTASTIC! It's not DISNEY quality or anything, but it still looks great! The textures are nice; you can see the embroidery on Snow's blouse, Jack's clothes, there's all kinds of nice details like that.

A LOT of thought went into this movie, especially the dwarves even if their characters ended up not being the most fleshed out. Somebody pointed out that the triplets--Pino, Noki, and Kio--sound an awful lot like "Pinocchio". They pilot a giant, wooden puppet that they use to fight, and that puppet has a long nose. They even have Italian accents (which might be slightly over the top, but they don't get a lot of screentime so it's hard for me to say), and Pinocchio is an Italian fairy tale. All of the dwarves have little details like that. They're based off fairytales, obviously (hell the movie takes place on "Fairytale Island"), and a lot of love went into them. Arthur's so Scottish, it's hard to understand him, sometimes. It's pretty funny.

I know you've seen this on other posts talking up this movie and everything, but I'm here to say it again: THIS MOVIE IS NOT BODY SHAMING. IT IS EVERYTHING BUT! As I mentioned above, Snow White loves herself just the way she is; she keeps the shoes on, but it is NOT because she wants to be beautiful. If anything, MERLIN is the one that has to go on the "love yourself" journey.

NITPICKS (not important, just stuff I pick at)

GOD I wish there was more lore. I know, it's fairytales, I don't really need it, but I am a slut for worldbuilding and lore.

The pop songs are lowkey annoying. Not enough to ruin the viewing experience, but enough for me to remember: oh yeah, this movie was meant for a younger audience.

Not all the jokes land. I can forgive it because the rest of it is enjoyable, but most of the jokes that do land are Arthur being incomprehensible at times and Prince Average being his delightfully pathetic self.

To sum it all up, go check this movie out! It's a fun time with good characters, great animation, and a fantastic message. It's available on Peacock, but if you don't want to pay for a subscription then it's available for free (according to Google) on Tubi, Amazon Prime Video, and the Roku Channel.

Oh God... This is going to be loooong.

The fake Hinako was always an interesting character to me, I've always liked how she acted, and I mean EVERYTHING.

Her personality, her plot, her character development (Even though it was pretty short, I still loved it), her design HECK, EVERYTHING I don't know what happened, she's one of my favorite dummies, I just really love her character, she's funny, she's interesting and she's an asshole, my favorite tropes <3 /j

With that, I started craving more content about her, eventually looking for fanfics about her, I was just curious to see what the fandom was doing with my fav I found some cool fanfics, some pretty good, some mid, some I didn't even dare to read just because of the tags, every kind of thing

Until. I found a fanfic about Real!Hinako.

I know this post isn't a fanfic review but I gotta say, I didn't finish the fanfic... It was an OK fanfic, not extremely good but not horrible, just... Fine

Anyway, something on that fanfic sparkled in my heart, something about reading about a suicidal girl surviving a Death Game and slowly regaining will to live was incredible.

I started to think about the stuff I didn't enjoy the fanfic, Real!Hinako is a character that we have NO INFORMATION about, so the author did whatever he wanted, giving Hinako a backstory about how her father killed her only and best friend, hence why she's suicidal

It was an good lore but I didn't liked it that much, something about it didn't sat me right, so I thought "What would I do if I wrote a fanfic about her? That was my mistake.

I started to think about what would I do, how would I do, what events would happen, what wouldn't, who would she trust, who she wouldn't, how would her suicidal tendencies effect her, how would she regain her will to live, etc etc

I wrote a whole ass backstory about her, I started writing a first chapter for a possible fanfic about Hinako surviving the Death Game, about how she would become friends with Ranmaru and Anzu and that would help her feel alive again, I wrote and drew A LOT. (I lost most of those drawings because my computer broke, but I had like THREE WHOLE 2500X2500 PIXELS CANVAS JUST FILLED WITH DOODLES OF HER)

Also about her backstory that I created: Basically, Hinako had a normal family with a mom and a dad, the classic "butter advertisement family", y'know? Her dad worked for a well-know pharmacy bussines... ASU-NARO, did he know about how inhuman ASU-NARO was? Kind of, but he gained enough money to protect and give a good life to the people he loved the most, his wife and his daughter, so he could overlook wha they did, besides he didn't know everything, he just knew the tip of the iceberg, if he knew everything he probably would've stopped... Right? That doesn't matter, eventually he started to notice that ASU-NARO was looking throught his family, investigating and stalking his wife and daughter, and on a desperate move to protect them, he asked for a divorce, which left Hinako's mom in shambles, she started to develop a hatred for her husband, he never told her what went wrong, why he was going away, what could she do to be better, he was just... Gone As for Hinako, she also didn't knew anything, but she couldn't hate her father, he was such a good person, such a good father, her only friend, the person she trusted the most... How could she hate him? They would meet up during the weekends, and every time Hinako asked why he went away, he would alway say the name thing "It's for your own safety, dearie..." He became more and more distant each time, eventually he stopped meating up with Hinako, stopped answering his wife's calls, stopped calling Hinako's mom, completely fed up with his cold shoulders, decided to go to his house to settle things up with him The scene she saw... Her ex-husband... Hanged... Dead. Hinako never saw his body, thankfully, but that didn't mean his death didn't affected her family Her mom became even more distante and angry, angry at her husband, angry at Hinako, she couldn't help but feel angry at her, she just... Looked so much like him, looking at Hinako reminded her of her husband, that made her so annoyed About Hinako, she became more distant of her friends, she didn't felt like talking with anyone, she missed her father so much, she tried to hate him hoping that hate would made her feel something different, but nothing, she just felt so... Miserable "One day... I'll be with you, dad..."

GRRRRRRRRRRRR I FUCKING LOVE THIS BACKSTORY I GAVE HER, I CAN'T EVEN EXPRESS ENOUGH

I think what made me love her more was making this backstory, it just made me feel so connected with her, creating a story and carefully putting stuff together just so I can make sense of her character is so... Amazing, I loved it

Will I write that fanfic I said I started? Probably, I really want to, I have a lot of stuff planned to it, I just need to start writing

I am finally alive enough to respond to this lets fucking GO

I'm gonna make a separate post of his full lore and allat so for now I'll kinda drop random info/lore pieces as well as how he came to be yippee

Design/How he came to be:

For his design I took a lot of inspo from dif things:his bangs are inspired by Ken Sato's bangs, as are his thick ass mf brows. I wanted his bodytype to be built but not OVERLY bulky to suit the work he does, as he still has to be agile while also strong, I also looked into men's gymnastics and their bodytypes, as he grew up doing gymnastics and swimming.

His adult design has a lot of cosmetic dino/reptilian inspired traits, as I wanted him to feel almost like he was closer to dinosaurs than humans due to him isolating himself for so long. He has a split tongue and sharper canines than when he was younger, as well as his eyes being an almost yellow amber.

Honestly I am still working on his lore, as there are certain things I want to do but know it would be either too unrealistic, or too "Gary Stu"ish, so sometimes I gotta choose between doing the self indulgent shit or putting it on the back burner lmao

He's actually a revamped OC I already had, honestly when I first watched CT when it came out I wasn't going to insert him into it, but the hyperfixation hit hard so here we are. I am very glad I did though, as I've met multiple cool ass people thru it, not to mention theres just something about people GENUINELY caring and being interested about your OCs that makes the struggles of being an artist/writer so worth it (Love y'all 🫶)

A lot of his writing is inspired by myself and my life, though exaggerated in some spots. His dad is inspired by my dad in some aspects, as are his siblings. He also has a lot of my behaviors, including the negative ones, as I find writing them can help me learn how to cope/deal with them. His disabilities are also based off mine.

Honestly a lot of his writing was just done overtime, there wasn't a huge amount of planning put into it 😭 but that is just generally how I write my OCs, it just feels right

Lore and Character Traits:

He has been growing out his hair since Camp Cretaceous, the only time he's cut it since (aside from trimming dead ends) was to make a wig for his sister

Speaking of his sister, he has/had two siblings, Landon, his older brother, who unfortunately passed away a couple years before CC, and Mia, his little sister, who is luckily still kicking lmao 😭

He lives on the sanctuary he works at, his house is very secluded, as the line of work he does can end up with people... not being very fond of him, so he has to live in such a secluded/hidden area to stay safe

He started designing prothetics and disability aids when he was as young as 12, he now focuses on dino prosthetics, though he has designed a few human ones

Most of his work actually ON the sanctuary is "exotic vet" work (aka hes a dino doctor), as it is quite rare to find vets who aren't afraid of dinos 😭 though he also works on socializing the dinos

His work beyond that is much riskier, as he works to rescue dinos from shady businesses/people, mainly focusing on the dino equivalent of puppy mills, though he has rescued dinos from more dangerous organizations.

He started this work a little while after his father passed, he originally started to work on the sanctuary just doing basic work, mostly as a way to pay for the rehab he had to go through (will get more into that in his full lore post), as well as using it as a way to isolate himself, though very quickly got pulled into doing rescues

He got his growth spurt around this time as well, possibly due to being on Testosterone for a year at that point and having inherited his father's tall ass genes, as well as constantly working out. He was very awkward with it at first, going from being the tiny one of the group to being the tallest was a lot, so he's glad that Ben also had a sudden growth spurt, so he wouldn't be alone in the "Save any growth for the rest of us?" Comments 😭

Sammy calls him Bumpy's step father, as he's about as clingy and protective with her as Ben is. That dino saved his life on so many occasions that he just can't help but feel indebted to her in some way.

Despite Lucien being older than her, Sammy kinda looks at him like a little brother, being very protective of him. It's partially because she got so used to him being itty bitty and being the type to constantly hide behind people when he was scared on Nublar, so she's just not used to him being grown and able to protect himself. Has fully told Ben that if he hurts him she will take him out at the shin, Ben believes her.

He has a dino on the sanctuary that is his favourite, I haven't 100% settled on the breed, but what I know for sure is she is a carnivore that was rescued from one of the dino mills, and therefore has had multiple procedures to make her less dangerous (such as having her front teeth removed, being declawed, etc.) And she also unfortunately lost a leg while in said mill, though Lucien made her a prosthetic for it. She also has dwarfism due to being in a cage for such an important time in her life growth wise. She is Lucien's baby and he would go to war for her.

Lucien's music taste is,,, all over the place, ranging from kpop, to indie rock, to metal, honestly as long as its not country he'll probably enjoy it

His tattoos have to deal with his work, specifically the doll/robo joints, as part of him feels kind of like he was taken in a vulnerable state in his life to do things that no 16/17 yro should have to do and yet he can never bring himself to step away from the work now as he's too deep into it

That isnt to say he doesnt feel good about rescuing dinos, but unfortunately with that kind of work comes hurting people, and while they are bad people, it still fucks you up

Not super great at communication (which I am actually writing a fic about 😈) which can cause issues but he does try his best, esp for Ben

Thank you!!! I have some vague ideas for additional things I’d want to add to the universe, but I’m not sure if I’ll write anything substantive for ao3. If I do, it’d probably just be a 5k or so little scene. I have lots of thoughts about the universe, but nothing that’s worth a real sequel - but who knows, things change, and this fic lives rent free in my brain so never say never.

My hockey answer is going under a read more so as to not annoy the masses:

So, for the NHL: There’s not really a hockey version of drive to survive that can get you into it the same way (it’s a lot easier to make a base level informative show for a sport with 20 people than a 32 team league with eight hundred billion players). There is a show called “All or Nothing: Toronto Maple Leafs” that followed the Leafs in 2021 or “Faceoff: Inside the NHL” that followed a few more teams/players (I haven’t actually watched that one though).

Obviously, I’m a leafs fan, so I’m going to sprinkle in this video of my fave leaf with daniel and this video of him at the montreal gp (ft max) as propaganda. (Mitch is so much fun - soooo much good/funny content of him. Definitely not biased at all as tumblr user mitchmarner). Genuinely though, there’s tons of interesting guys/teams/lore you can get behind, and plenty of great fic to explore (and if you go into the hockey rpf tag and are intrigued by a ship including p*trick k*ne, i’d recommend staying away. he is a horrible human being and so many people have been jumpscared by reading rpf of him knowing nothing about hockey, getting into the sport wanting to support him, and then finding out all the unconscionable things he’s done).

I’m potentially not the best guide on how to get into hockey anew because I grew up watching it, so I’m trying to think of the things people struggled with from when I’ve seen fans join hockeyblr and have questions. I think the things people cite as most difficult when getting into hockey are following the puck on the ice and following the rules/penalties. Like, the first time someone sees a goalie get pulled to put an extra player on the ice and it sparks iconic tweets like this from confused new fans:

This is a good 101 to the basics of hockey. Assuming you don’t live in or near a city with an NHL team, I know a lot of people have gotten into hockey from finding rpf and then just picking the team of whatever ship they liked most, or they just consume social media content and glom onto one guy or team. Trying to find a team will probably be the most difficult part. If you watch a lot of games, you might find you really dislike a team you thought you liked at the start or vice versa - so just go in with a flexible idea of who you want to support.

Follow some teams you think you might like on social media, watch their videos and content with players, etc. Even better, look them on tumblr because fans actually highlight the best parts of them and find the best videos, and you won’t need to scroll through 1000 bland videos first. This is not a league heavy in personality because it’s such a rich white person sport that emphasizes conformity and having one image as a team rather than an individual brand, so sometimes you really gotta delve into the content to figure out who is actually interesting lol.

Trying to find out how to legally watch NHL games where you live probably isn’t worth the headache. I once paid for both TSN and Sportsnet, literally hundreds of dollars, and still couldn’t watch every game. The nhl doesn’t have their own version of f1tv (and if they did, they’d fuck it up). The PWHL is a lot easier if you’re looking to get into women’s hockey because there’s far fewer teams and far more interesting personalities (and lots of queer people!). I’d say to do similar things with just watching the game and seeking out the team social media. Generally, it will all just be a lot less overwhelming in terms of learning the basics than the NHL. How you stream their games depends on your location, but they’re far more accessible than NHL games - I live somewhere where they have a network deal, but they stream on youtube in a lot of places! The rules differ from NHL rules, but hockey is generally hockey (and the PWHL has some better/more interesting rules lol).

Heyyyy it's me, the actual owner of this blog and creator of back alley bard (you can call me box :3 I use he/they pronouns with a HUGE preference for the he as opposed to the they) here to drop some INFORMATION and GROUND RULES for this blog.

The story this blog is based off is very mature in its content so it's more of a means to deter the hypothetical fanbase from being overrun with young kids than a “I FUCKING HATE LITTLE KIDS” thing. Nothing against you guys, I just don’t really wanna write something with sexuality as a relevant recurring thing with the knowledge it's mainly 13 year olds that’re gonna engage with it. Personal comfort, if anything.

Ok that's all my boundaries/rules, onto the fun bit! Actual info on what this blog actually is and how it works.

As summarised by the bio back alley bard is a fictional (somewhat punk) indie rock band I created and are my ocs. They are not a real band and I have no plans to make them the next Gorillaz or Yaelokre - I do still plan to publish something big about them though!

This blog is an experimental side project to me for now so all asks are limited to just Tobi (he/they) BUT if I like doing this you guys unlock full band perms. Should mention though, this doesn’t mean I won’t show them or have tobi give any information about the band. Do with this what you will.

My main goal with this is to get people familiar with Back Alley Bard so that when I get around to really working on my goals for it I’ll have a substantial amount of people to back me up for it. Also because its a fun way to put a bit more meat on the bones of the lads (and practice drawing them)

SVTFOE headcanon lore

Hello everyone. I have a TON of SVTFOE headcanon lore. Which is basically all the lore about SVTFOE that I made up. Should I start writing a doc with all the lore? And then, should I just like, post it? Because I have way too much lore in my head to keep up with. And some of these headcanons are:

1: Solaria has always had suspension of disbelief when it came to the Spider Bite's because the Spider Bite's don't like her at all but clearly, Solaria can't read the room.

2: Duchess Recluza hates Eclipsa and Solaria. And the somewhat like, nemesis relationship that Recluza and Eclipsa have are kind of like Rob and Gumball's nemesis relationship. Just think of it from that point of view.

3: After Jushtin quitted helping Solaria in the diplomatic mission (read my eighth most recent post to know about that), they had a more or less passive aggressive sibling bond. But like at the same time, Jushtin just hates Solaria, and he is actually the reason why the rest of the Spider Bite's hate Solaria as well.

4: In the afterlife, Crescenta and Jushtin would always cuss each other out. Because Crescenta liked to believe that she was the youngest to have ever hold the royal magic wand, since she first held it when she was at least 11 or 12. Even though, that is not true. Since, if you read The Book of Spells, you can clearly see that in Skywynne's chapter, she stated that from time to time, she would let Jushtin hold the wand. Which from my understanding, he first held the wand when he was at the most, 2 years old.

5: The Magical High Commission were the ones to give Crescenta the wand. And then they lied to Dirhhennia, saying that Festivia gave Crescenta the wand. Even though Festivia doesn't do favorite's and she really wanted to see Dirhhennia become the heir.

6: Solaria was actually an accident. Yeah, that's all I gotta say for that one.

So yeah, those are some of my headcanon's. Do you guys want to see more of my headcanon's? Also, make sure to credit me if you're going to use these headcanon's.

Hi I recently came acrossed your Tumblur and I find your Splatter MV really entertaining and I was wondering if you ever wrote a book on it? I would love to read it if there is. ^^

Oh goodness

No unfortunately I’ve yet to really write a book or fanfic about it 😔. But I do have many plans to share in on here! Though, posts about it have been sporadic lately 😅

But!! There is a lore post in development (that I’m getting quite a bit of progress on 👀) that will hopefully help people to understand what the MV is about better!!

I’ve actually been thinking about potentially presenting Splattertale as a fic/book or comic or something someday. Not particularly sure yet, I mean I gotta get the basics out first before I move on to something like that 😅.

But rest assured I’m having a blast sharing it with you all!! It’s been my dream to share it on Tumblr since about 2017 or so.

This story means a lot to me, and one day you’ll get to read about it in all its glory!!
