i’m sure i said this already but regis swearing when quoting angoulême’s phrases is too dangerous. he could bypass his social etiquette, if only he prefaces it with “as our darling young angoulême says”

Ofc the others are overprotective of her, bc like shes clumsy😭 like always falling down the stairs, nose bleeds (me core) and she watched everyone panic while looking at them with a deadpanned look bc
1. Shes a baddie whos to hot to die
2.the baby is fine and alive
And cale is loosing his mind bc he cannot leave her alone for two mins bc she will somehow make even more trouble simply bc shes ✨just a girl ✨

Stay still, will you?

»»►This is a funny scenario. I like to think Cale is a super, over the top, overprotective, man. If you mess with those he cares about or loves, you’re about to find yourself in an interesting situation.
»»►But when Cale finds out he’s going to be a papa, he goes wild. Forget accepting whatever mission the crown prince wants him to do, he needs to be right next to his wife–24/7.
»»►And let’s be honest with ourselves, this man would literally take this chance to laze around even more. This is the life he wanted, no?
»»►Oh, but his dear wife doesn’t like sitting still for more than a minute. This is torture for her—but can’t do anything about it because her husband and (adopted)kids want her to relax and take care of herself and the baby.
»»►But, why? You may ask. That’s for the single fact that she is clumsy (hey just like me!). She crashes stuff, trips, falls, hurts herself—according to Cale and the others—she denies such accusations—and last but not least, she gets herself in trouble.
»»►So, yeah. [Name] have no “stepping outside the state” privileges until after the baby is here physically. But [Name] is a tough cookie. She can handle herself when no-one is around. So—to everyone’s dismay—she goes outside one day. It’s just to stroll around and see what has progressed in Harris Village.
»»►One thing to note: she didn’t tell a soul about her outing.
»»►Now imagine Cale’s face when he comes back to see the staff panicking for the whereabouts of his wife.
»»►Let's just say…it was chaotic that day.
Tumblr media
“Woah, that looks tasty...!” [Name] drooled at the sight.
“Good morning, lady [Name]! What can I get you today?” The shop owner greeted [Name] with a smile.
“Can I have this please?” [Name] pointed to one of the delicacies of the bakery. It was a croissant-looking-bread stuffed full of chocolate.
The owner of the bakery gave her a bag filled with what she ordered. “Here you go! Please come back soon!” the owner waved goodbye.
“I will!” She waved back at the owner. [Name] took one of the baked goods and began to eat it.
“I wonder how everyone is doing at the state.”
…
“LADY [NAME]!”
“M’lady! Where are you?!”
“Does anyone remember the last place [Name] went to?!”
“M’lady, please be okay!”
Currently, everyone is in a frenzy. The lady of the house was nowhere to be found, and everyone and their mothers were running like headless chickens in search of her. And if they did not find her, their master was going to kill them!
“What is with the commotion here?” a voice spoke from the entrance of the manor.
Everything stopped. Slowly, the housekeepers and butlers turned their heads towards the voice. They knew this voice. Very well in fact. Although they grew to like it, right now, they wish they didn’t hear it. They prayed that it was a ghost. Dread overtook them as they saw the voice’s owner.
Cale Henituse. Their young master. And the husband of the manor’s lady they were trying to find.
“So? Is anyone going to tell me why you are all running like the world just ended?” Cale spoke.
Who was mad enough to even dare to tell the young master that his wife magically disappeared? Not me. And not anyone in this room.
Yet a brave soul stood up and spoke. May he rest in peace.
“Ah…y-young mater Cale,” a young butler went forward and vowed, stammering in his word, “we..uh…. Can’t find lady [Name] anywhere...?”
“...”
“...”
It was deafeningly silent. No one moved an inch, waiting—waiting for the order to execute them. They fully accepted their fate.
“Well, what are you all just standing there for?” he spoke, breaking the iceberg.
“Huh?”
“Standing still isn't going to bring back [Name].” He stood there, staring at the crowd.
He was right.
They needed to get back to searching for Lady [Name]!
A chorus of ‘yes, sir!’ was heard before a horde of housekeepers and butlers left in search of their Lady.
“*sigh* Why are you like this [Name]...?” Cale whispered and looked up. He slowly walked to the exit of the manor heading to the town; the children followed after him–this included Choi Han.
“Master Cale, where are you going?” Hans asked.
“I’m going to the market area in the town,” he said, not bothering to look back. “Ron, make my bed as comfortable as you can make, will you?”
“Yes, young master.” Ron responded.
“Great.”
…
Lovely day for [Name] sitting in the shade of an umbrella and her delicious foods. Going from one shop to another, she had managed to gather a lot of food. She had gone overboard again, yes, but the baby she was carrying and her were happy. Who could ever disturb such happiness?
“[Name].” A male voice called her name firmly from behind.
Of course. The only person that could was her husband. [Name] knew he only meant good, but right now he had broken that tranquility.
“Oh! Cale, love, darling, how are you...?” [Name] turned and looked at him nervously. The children had gathered around her–with Raon being invisible naturally.
“[Name]...” Cale rubbed the temples of his face before sighing, “why are you out?” he asked sternly.
“Well clearly, I was taking a walk. And I bought some snacks on the way.” She answered, petting both Hong and Raon while On made herself comfortable in her lap.
“What–no. That’s not what I meant.”
“You asked why I was out, and I told you why.”
“You know exactly why I asked that.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” [Name] gave the children the treats she had bought earlier.
“[Name], please. You know how dangerous it is for you to be here right now. You are due at any point now! And I just…agh..I just want you to stay safe.” He said in frustration.
[Name] looked at him, feeling a bit guilty that he is like that. She had reached her ninth month a week ago, making this month the most crucial. She just didn’t want to stay locked up in her room all the time. It was something that did not sit right with her.
“I’m sorry…” [Name] looked down in shame.
“I…*sigh* You are going to be the death of me.” Cale came closer to her and placed his hands underneath her.
“Hu-huh? Cale? What are you doing?” panicking a little before realizing he was going to carry her.
“Carry you, obviously.” He scuffed. “We’re going back to the manor.”
“Aww…can’t we go to another shop? It’ll be the last one, I promise!” Her begging went to deaf ears. He wasn’t letting her get away with it, so she started to wiggle her way out his arm.
“Stay still, will you?”
“Not until I get my last treat.”
“*sight…* Fine. But you’ll have it after dinner. Dinner is going to be served soon.” Cale said while walking to the nearest candy shop.
“Mmmm, I'm fine with that. Oh! Choi Han, hello. Sorry, I didn’t notice you there.”
“It’s fine lady [Name].” Choi Han gave her a small nod.
“Moooom…I want a treat too!”
“I also want one!”
“The great Roan Miru will get one too, right?”
“Wait a second. Since when do they call you mom?” Cale asked in confusion.
“Yes, yes. All of you will get one.”
“Don’t ignore me.”
Choi Han giggled as Cale continued to ask and get ignored by them.

I do really like how TOH deals with abuse with the framework they have. Even though Hunter doesn't think he's being abused, he has a few recited reasons why he doesn't leave: I can't survive on my own, nobody wants me because I'm broken, he's actually so nice to take care of me, he's the only person who understands me, Belos needs me there or something bad will happen, I don't want him to be hurt.
Since Hunter can't leave, there's a second level of thoughts he has through the show justifying his own abuse: I'm going to be replaced because I'm not good enough, I'm stupid, it's my fault that I got hit, the Titan chose me, I am hurting Belos by being broken, this is funny/ a joke, I have to do this for Belos otherwise Bad Thing.
In the realization part of Hunter's arc he starts reconsidering some of his thoughts. Steve brings up the time they were abandoned in a blizzard and Hunter dismisses it as being funny at first. He realizes it wasn't actually funny/ having your consent taken away is serious (just because it happened to Hunter by somebody he loved doesn't mean its ok). He later doubles down on the excuses until he has no way to justify it anymore and he realizes he's being abused. After the realization, Hunter refuses help and temporarily becomes homeless / has to deal with the reality of leaving his situation but finds out that a lot of the beliefs he had weren't real. Gus gives him his own lunch despite mistrusting him. Darius also contacts him and gives him a new mission to protect Luz. Hunter rebuilds his self worth slowly, and gets new hobbies and interests but occasionally relapses / still thinks he's broken and needs to hide / doesn't trust his friends. Then he has. a huge relapse because. obviously. Belos comes back and a lot of Hunter's fears get worse / he thinks he's crazy / he isolates himself and then loses his bodily autonomy and he has to combat his lack of self worth and his fears in order to even try to get out of it, knowing that it'll get him killed. And his support network is there for him, and it's . awful and devastating but they show the fuck up!!! And I. really like the ending of (this aspect) of his arc because like yeah you WILL find people who care about you no matter what your secrets/past is bc literally nobody cared when Hunter's secret got outed, they cared much more about his safety!! The ending is also sweet because Hunter is a pretty tragic character who ends up having their last bits of time on screen being silly with his adoptive family + support network like the reasons Hunter couldn't leave were real in some aspects but they were greatly exaggerated like. yeah he was homeless. being homeless isn't something to be ashamed of, its just a thing that happens to people. It is awful for him and traumatic and difficult to address but (most) people around him care about his safety regardless. Yea.

"If they put more superheroes in Fallout I'll talk about it more."
🔥 The Silver Shroud?
The Silver Shroud falls somewhere on a spectrum between genuinely really conceptually interesting and borderline meanspirited to me. As I've mentioned briefly before, the paradox of superheroes in the Fallout universe is that they aren't a fundamentally weirder class of person than any of the other 1950s genre pastiche archetypes that we're expected to take seriously, but the flip side is that superheroes would match with the rest of the Fallout idiom so perfectly, and are so modular in terms of what other genre elements they can incorporate into their own genre, that they could easily become the most overbearing element of the Fallout setting if steps aren't taken to keep them siloed. Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 share a throughline in that they both silo superheroism by portraying it as the product of arrested development.
Kent Connolly is a sad, sad guy, with good reason. He's been trying to keep his hobby alive for centuries- terminals in Fallout 76 reveal that he's been adjacent to attempts to make superheroes a real thing for over 200 years, and it has never, ever worked over the long haul, and yet he keeps on trucking, trying to make everyone else see what he sees in these characters. The Shroud is a significantly different archetype of pulp hero from the ones who show up in Fallout 3- rather than a pastiche of the bloodless, stakeless four-color capes of the golden age, he's a more directly a pastiche of The Shadow- the 1930s radio-show proto-superhero who was significantly more willing to use gun violence as a conflict resolution tool than his successors would be. This dovetails with the gameplay loop- In Fallout 3, the entire point of the superheroes is that they're engaging in a significantly more limited playfight compared to what the Lone Wanderer gets up to on a typical Tuesday, but the Sole Survivor, when adopting the Silver Shroud persona, doesn't really have to change their MO at all in order to embody the (admittedly somewhat exaggerated and retroactively attributed by later writers and audiences) retributive ultraviolence of the Shadow's pulp archetype. They're doing their normal thing in a funny voice. And the extent to which you're just doing your normal thing is what really puts the screws to the idea that doing it in a costume is actually adding anything here. You are, at best, making a slight detour to slightly brighten a shut-ins day, and that adds a fundamental air of sadness to the entire outing. But at the end of the day, you do briefly embody the archetype. You do kick down the door and save the hostage from the gangsters. And as a result it does end up briefly straddling the line between deeply silly and deeply cool. The other thing about The Silver Shroud is that in a roundabout way it re-enforces my standing theory that Fallout 3 was originally meant to take place within living memory of The Great War. Of the three Fallout games that directly feature living superheroes, two of them- 4 and 76- are associated with characters who were directly enmeshed in pre-war pop culture. The Mistress of Mystery and her cohort adopted the superheroic aesthetic because it would still be legible to a plurality of survivors; Kent Conolly's rock to roll uphill forever is that he's one of the only people left to whom any of this means anything. But in Fallout 3 the two superheroes just sort of....materialize, after 200 years, with their shticks fully formed. Furthermore, in the Hubris comics office in downtown DC you can find a pre war letter to the editor extolling the relatability of the fictional AntAgonizer, and doing so prior to starting The Superhuman Gambit gives you a unique option for talking down the real one. My strong suspicion is that in an earlier draft of the story, The AntAgonizer was written as a pre-war character who sent that letter to the editor herself as a teenager or young adult, and adopted the AntAgonizer persona after living through the war as a coping mechanism.

hello tumblr user kiththecat with oshawott pfp do you,, do you have opinions on pokemon teams/partners for clownzy,,
im so sorry i took this way further than you probably thought i would but to be fair pokemon is like my oldest, biggest special little interest so this quickly went from a silly little thing to oh i guess i have an au now. say goodbye to ajwiaap this is all im thinking about now
i think the beautiful thing when it comes to assigning characters pokemon is that every single pokemon could make it. every single pokemon has their own unique personality. so this isn’t “this fits their vibes” as much as it is “woops i accidentally made up team dynamics and personalities for these pokemon and now im attached”
hfdjskhfdkfdhs maybe these choices are all atrocious but here we go
my thoughts for branzy is that he’s a researcher of a kind, probably deeply fascinated with some more morally dubious sciences, probably ends up getting hired by evil groups but he’s funded so what does he care
also these are all listed in no particular order
Slowking
i just think it’d be funny. entry says that slowking is ultra intelligent but no one understands it so now i'm imagining branzy with a slowking just nodding and going “yes, this absolutely makes sense” but it just doesn’t. and because its extremely intelligent and composed it kinda sees branzy as its little guy
Metagross
same as with slowking. an intelligent and extremely powerful pokemon has adopted this kinda unlucky but eccentric researcher. it’s not interested in fighting it just wants branzy to Not Fall Into A Cave when researching or something. it’s always ready to psychically carry him away from danger like an unruly child. metagross would dislike clown at first but would warm up to him because they’re both protective of branzy. and clown would be like “HOW do you have an untrained metagross???” because this is one of the hardest pokemon to capture and keep because of how smart they are so it’s like. extremely impressive. and branzy’s like “we’re besties!” but that’s his babysitter
Tinkaton
innocent looking queen with a destructive nature. horrible attitude. just a violent little freak and if she ever inconveniences anyone branzy is like “what no that doesn’t sound like my tinkaton must’ve been something else” and the crime in question has a big hammer-sized hole in it. if left alone these two would probably cause more harm than good. best battler of the team
Porygon-Z
cute but something went wrong in its design very branzycraft to me. everyone would be like “hey, so there’s something terrible wrong with this pokemon” and branzy would be like “no! look how cute it is :D”. it gets very distressed if its away from him
Lampent
OKAY LISTEN. this would just be really funny. like one pokedex entry says “It hangs around hospitals waiting for people to pass on.” and “Once it finds someone whose death is near, it will trail quietly after them.” so my idea is that there’s this lampent who’s been following branzy around literally his entire life because it looks like he’s going to die in a stupid accident but he just. keeps. living. and branzy never realises that it has any ill intentions he thinks they’re best friends and finds lampents light very helpful when exploring in the dark. at some point branzy almost actually dies and its like so distressed about it because its gotten attached
that’s all i got for him... for now.
clown would be a very very strong trainer, a champion most likely. he has a reputation for being absolutely ruthless in battle and he had no trouble winning whatever league he won. he does work that’s kinda morally grey, but in the way where he’ll rather kill a poacher than imprison them.
Gengar (Mega)
the grin. also literally every pokedex entry is so clown. also he’d have a mega stone for it and it’s generally the scariest thing in the world. has most likely killed a lot of people but clown is like “wouldn’t hurt a fly ^-^” also gengar would absolutely love branzy (it recognises him as a devious and harmful soul) it’d be like “this is my guy now” and clown would feel so betrayed.
Hydreigon
cannot be clown without a scary strong pokemon. and okay so every single entry for this one says that it thinks only of destruction. so my idea is that clown has a hydreigon but but that he’s raised and/or trained it well and it respects him so they have like this mutual need for destruction but it’s so calm and controlled that it’s even scarier. also if we all just collectively pretend that the purple-ish colour on hydreigon is red, they have a similar colour scheme:) this and gengar are clowns most well known pokemon and he could probably win a league using only them
Zorua
enjoying the thought of this zorua being an extremely powerful shapeshifter who almost always is in another form. like to the point where most people aren’t even aware that clown has a zorua. it’s not the best battler but it’s amazing at stealth missions. its one of the older pokemon of the team but it hasn’t evolved because it likes sitting on top of clowns head or his shoulders. it revealed its true form to branzy very quickly and while branzy didn’t think anything big of it, probably just going “oh my gosh that’s amazing!” clown had an internal crisis about it
Furfrou
OKAY HEAR ME OUT HERE. a shiny furfrou. his dramatic ass WOULD have one. and it’d have a special trim that matches him. im thinking something like the dandy trim but instead of green additions to the fur it’s red. this furfrou would be the biggest diva in the world. clown saved it from poachers and it took long for trust to be formed but after it did it was ride or die. what if it was kinda lazy too, like it just wanted to chill but its trainer is clown so its strong because he trains them well but when battling it looks so disinterested that it comes across as weak but when it locks in, it’s deadly. if anything happens to its trim, it’s over for the perpetrator. clown grooms it personally and very softly but this is a rare sight.
Lilligant
i love the thought of him having a weak looking pokemon but it’s the secret ace of the team. people who don’t know clown would be like “that’s it lmao?” if he brought it out in battle but everyone who’s battled him will be like “well, it was fun while it lasted” like this one lilligant is known for taking down the most powerful of pokemon. also continuing the theme of having a pokemon that actually requires high maintenance to be happy, lilligant has many entries that say the flower on their head will wilt if not cared for properly. i think it’d be pretty neat if everyone had this idea that clown was ruthless as a trainer, but that something as subtle as his lilligant having a beautiful flower actually shows how kind he is to his team
Mr. Rime
DOES ANYONE SEE MY VISION. it’d be the weird grandpa of the team. kinda the same situation as lilligant where it doesn’t fit clown’s scary vibes but it’s a terrifying opponent anyway. the pokedex describes it’s tap dancing as “graceful” and i can think of another person who looks like a thing that’s associated with fun but is actually quite deadly so
that’s it… for now. rest assured i’ll probably be thinking about this a lot. also there are so many pokemon i thought about. this was hours of reading pokedex entries and repeatedly scrolling through the pokedex😭😭😭😭i literally blinked and two hours had passed
bonus notes ? ideas ?
wild pokemon really like branzy. he’s very creature and he has a good-hearted demeanour that makes everyone let their guards down (literally just canon).
wild pokemon respect clown. his presence, though not comforting, makes them steer clear of him. in a way they see him as one of their own more than a human.
if i were to attach a mythical or legendary to each of them. mew for branzy and meloetta for clown. HEAR ME OUT.
branzy has a lot of random pokemon just following him around when he’s on expeditions, so he doesn’t notice that there’s actually a mew shapeshifting into wild pokemon and following him around all over. it just likes his vibe.
as for meloetta. more of a stretch but just with clown’s tendency to getting attached to a certain type of people, like ros and branzy, then i think meloetta could embody the same things as they do. and now im just straight up making up characterisation on meloetta that’s dubiously based on the anime but i imagine that meloetta loves to battle, hence why it has a literal battleform, but that it has had no opportunity to fight in the modern way or feel that connection with a trainer, so every so often it will join clown in whatever he’s doing and be like “battle with me” and he’ll be like “aight”
ALSO DOES ANYONE REMEMBER TOBIAS? THE GUY WHO RANDOMLY HAD A DARKRAI IN THE ANIME. he gives clown vibes to me. almost gave clown a darkrai. almost gave him many ultra strong pokemon but i thought it’d be funnier to go a bit weird with it
also there are SO many rumours about clown. most of them being that he has signed a deal with darkrai, giratina, or yveltal. maybe he has. who knows.
im so sorry this is straight up insanity😔😔 ill see myself out

Found Family Anime Recs
I recently reblogged a list of found family anime recs and was a bit surprised by how many reblogs and likes it got. I had really reblogged it just so I can find it later to watch the shows I hadn't already seen on the list, but apparently I have a lot of followers who are interested in this topic! Well, I've watched a lot of anime, so here are ten found family anime shows that I absolutely love. These are in no particular order.
Buddy Daddies
This show is similar enough to Spy X Family that you might be tempted to call it a rip-off. It's really quite different though. There's a lot less comedy (though there's still SOME comedy) and a lot more healing from past trauma. The animation is gorgeous, and the relationships really tug at my heart. It's more realistic than Spy X Family, in some ways, though it's still pretty ridiculous. The melodrama in the last couple of episodes did annoy me a bit, but it's still a very satisfying show. It's like a fanfiction I would write, which is really the highest recommendation I can give, haha, because that means it's exactly the kind of story I would like.
2. Samurai Champloo
This show was made by much of the same team that created Cowboy Bebop, but for some reason it never got the same cult status, which is really too bad. I love Cowboy Bebop, but I love Samurai Champloo more. It's about two ronin and a teenage girl traveling through Edo-era Japan to find someone the girl is looking for. Throughout the series, the three form a very strong bond, despite all of their communication difficulties and past traumas. I've rewatched this show probably more than any other anime. It's brutal at times, but so very satisfying.
3. Natsume Yuujin-cho
Natsume lost his parents as a young child and was passed around from relative to relative, most of whom couldn't deal with him because his ability to see yokai (Japanese folk spirits) made him a freak in their eyes. As the series starts, he's finally taken in by an older couple in a rural village who actually want him, and he's finally able to start forming connections with other people and find a support system with his new caretakers, his peers, and the yokai he tries to help. It's a very sweet, sad series, much more sentimental than the first two entries on this list, but a very soothing and lovely watch when you are in need of some relaxation. Warning, though, the flashbacks to Natsume's past families can be truly gutwrenching. He was not treated well for a very long time, and it's hard to stomach.
4. Barakamon
Handa is a calligrapher who gets essentially exiled to a remote island after causing problems on purpose. He has a hard time connecting with people and is struggling with his art. Over the course of the story, he forms relationships with his neighbors, especially an adorable child with possibly the best child voice-acting I've ever heard, and slowly rediscovers his joy in creation again. It's cute and funny and beautiful, and it makes me want to live on a remote Japanese island.
5. My Roommate Is a Cat
Subaru is a young novelist who recently lost his parents, who were pretty much his only connection to humanity. While trying to recover from this massive loss, he adopts a stray cat who quickly becomes the most important creature in his life. Through the cat, he begins to form relationships with other people, as well. The show is unique in that the first half of each episode is from the human's POV and the second half is from the cat's POV. It's a very lovely and soothing show. Pets are family, too!
6. Haikyuu
Haikyuu was the show that opened my eyes to the aspect of found family in sports anime. I know a lot of tumblr enjoys Haikyuu for the shipping, but to me it's more satisfying to view it through the lens of found family. Each team is essentially their own found family, in their own unique way, and the relationships are particularly realistic and well-depicted by this mangaka. I love Tanaka being a big brother to the first years, Kuroo and Kenma's mutual protectiveness and support, all of it.
7. Kuroko no Basuke
This is the silly basketball show, and in my opinion it's not as good as Haikyuu, but I love the relationships here as well. Especially between Kuroko and Kagami, of course. Their mutual protectiveness is just chef's kiss. But the whole Seirin team is really great. I love them so much. The teamy goodness is what makes the silliness watchable for me.
8. One Piece
What is there to say about One Piece? This is, like, the ultimate found family show. All of the pirate crews with any kind of goodness at their core are found families, but especially the Strawhats. Luffy is just going around looking at people and declaring, "Okay, you're in my family (on my crew) now." If you've never watched One Piece before, I'm going to make an unorthodox recommendation and suggest you watch the live action Netflix adaption first. It does a really good job of capturing the feel and aesthetic and just pure loveliness of this story in a much more compact and approachable way than the anime. However, if you like it, I do recommend that you watch the anime from the beginning, because there is a lot of expansion on the themes there, and the characterization is slightly different. Usopp in particular kinda got shorted in the live action, so you'll understand him a lot more if you watch his introduction arc in the anime. But honestly both versions are great. I'm on my third rewatch of the live action version already, and I will watch and rewatch the anime until I die, probably. One of my favorite stories of all time.
9. The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash
I found this one slightly annoying in how it was obviously carefully designed to tug at my heartstrings, but it's working, so I don't have much right to complain. It's about a little kid driven out of her home who gradually gathers a found family of both monsters she tames and adult adventurers and guardsmen who take one look at this lonely child and go, "Well, guess I have a baby now." The isekai element is very lowkey, in that she basically just has a voice in her head giving her advice, and I like that it's about fighting local corruption instead of a demon army or what have you. I want more shows like this and less shows like every other generic isekai, haha.
10. Dungeon Meshi
This show is blowing up tumblr right now, so you've probably already seen it a billion times, but I'm going to make one more appeal for you to watch/read this story. It is so, so so good. And in my opinion, it is much MUCH more about family, both born and found, than it is about shipping. I could write a whole essay about Marcille and Falin's relationship that has nothing to do with romance, as I could for any other two (or three or four) characters in the main party, plus those outside. There is a LOT going on. I've been playing RPGs and LARPs for twenty years, and one reason I love the hobby so much is for the joy of creating found families with my best friends in new and different worlds, over and over again. This is the first piece of fiction I've found that really captures that particular aspect of party-based fantasy stories, the relationships that form and grow, the tight-knit bonds that keep everyone moving forward despite the monsters you must face (and consume).

playing spirit of justice and nahyuta is kind of a jerk, so in order to compensate that: have my prosecutor layton au i came up with on a whim
first of all, pl vs pw never happens for au sakes (sorry pl vs pw. know i love you). with the shortage in the prosecutor's office during soj, not only is nahyuta called up - hershel layton, a prosecutor from britain, is also enlisted to come and help out. i like to think prosecution is kind of a side thing to him - he's still very much an archeology nerd and preferred the archeology degree over his law degree and became a professor. however, something forced gressenheller to shut down, and layton decided to put his law degree to use.
he first comes into contact with the wright anything agency during the magical turnabout. in fact, that's the best thing that could have happened to apollo and athena, because hershel, having an adopted daughter of his own and an apprentice just a little older than trucy, he'd hate to see them convicted for a crime they didn't commit.
but he does his job, and let's be real, he'd be tough as a prosecutor. he challenges the defense a lot, throwing in logic puzzles to make his objections even more impactful. HOWEVER. HOWEVER. and here's the big BUT: he never, ever - and i mean NEVER - insults or belittles the defense.
apollo and athena are BAFFLED. normally, every prosecutor ever either just teases them or just straight-up bullies them. hershel? no. he's respectful and wants to give the defense a fair chance at winning. he doesn't brag with facts that work in his favor and doesn't tell the defense to just give up whenever they need more time to think. that's okay - good things and good puzzles take time. much like edgeworth, he just wants to find the truth (and earn money to live lmao).
the waa team is in awe. trucy is proved innocent, and apollo and athena call up their dad in khura'in to tell the tale.
a bit later, nahyuta takes up the rite of turnabout. however, hershel visits khura'in at roughly the same time because the kingdom's history is of interest to an archeology nerd like him. there, he is dubbed a witness of the murder of the high priest.
he's rather confused - he hasn't really seen anything, and still is called up to testify against maya? that's when he and nahyuta meet for the first time, and boy, do they not get along. in fact, they get into enough beef that when layton says he, too, is a prosecutor, nahyuta challenges him and prompts him to replace him, knowing that there's no way hershel would be educated enough to actually harm his case.
and that's where he was wrong. layton is well versed in history and culture, and this extends to the customs of khura'in. he shuts down phoenix's arguments with grace and only happily fills the gaps in his knowledge, all while never outwardly incriminating maya and insulting her. after all, he's a gentleman, and insulting someone is no way a gentleman should behave.
phoenix, now with the time and freedom to think (layton has to shut down the overly biast judge from time to time), is able to see the case through much better and wins it with more confidence. hershel's just glad nobody innocent was convicted.
and yeah, let's be honest - phoenix drools a little. because damn, not only is prosecutor layton kind and respectful, but he's also rather attractive. would make it possible for funny teasing from maya during the trial lmao. phoenix makes sure to compliment the man on being the best and most normal prosecutor he's ever had to deal with, and he gets. complimented back?? what sorcery is this
yeah nick is whipped from day 1 😳
not having played past turnabout storyteller (hey soj, is that a pl vs aa reference?), i dunno what happens in 6-5 yet, but i'll update this to include hershel once i actually play it lol. because i'm loyal to laywright and have to include it in everything ever, the romance arc happens after the mess, with apollo, athena and trucy to witness it because it's FUNNY. maya calls them up like "guys you never told us the english prosecutor is nick's type" and they go "WHAT."
anyway yeah that's my spur of the moment au. id love to design layton a sick ass fit and maybe draw some sprites. let's see if i get to that haha

Do you have any headcannons for your human designs of the voices, and would there be a different story to them (like if they have lives and jobs), or are they still just the voices of TLQ but as humans?
Sorry for taking a while to reply, I kept forgetting to actually write it all down (т v т)
The answer is: human voices are a part of a separate, post-New and Unending Dawn AU, where The Long Quiet is so sorrowful and longing after he killed the Heart of the Shifting Mound that he decided to unravel himself into a new world, created in the Princess's image, spinning his physical body into the world, his heart into the (human) voices, and his mind/memories into (human) vessels (since The Shifting Mound is gone, he has to essentially reconstruct them from his memories).
Yes, this AU also has human vessels because I've wanted to design how Princesses would look like if they were regular people ever since @/lavb-b did this for Prisoner, but I could never find proper motivation to sit down and design those. Voice brainrot has been very strong and very real (т v т)
And if you're wondering if this is how the idea of human voices started, the answer is absolutely not, it was originally just a funny design exercise, but I love coming up with silly in-universe reasons for my dumb ideas to exist, so this is now one of my AUs.
Tangents aside, it is a completely separate story from the usual post-canon shenanigans, human voices actually have zero solid memories of anything that happened before. For all intents and purposes, this is a different world, and so none of these people went through the horrors of the Construct; all they have is some vague subconscious feelings, gut instincts, nightmares, visions, but nothing solid or concrete that ties them to their Construct lives. At least, until I actually decide to make this AU into a story, I have a couple of ideas that I might explore in the future, or I might just leave this a silly modern slice-of-life AU, who knows!
As for specific headcanons, I actually don't have a lot of specific details planned or figured out since I'm only just now figuring out how even my regular post-canon world works, haven't had the time to really figure out what's going on with the human AU yet. But! Have a couple that I can remember off the top of my head:
Stranger pairs (Stubborn-Broken, Cold-Paranoid, Smitten-Skeptic, Opportunist-Hunted, and Cheated-Contrarian) are all siblings, with Cold-Paranoid pair being adoptive siblings. Maybe Cheated-Contrarian pair too, I'm not entirely sure yet.
They are all range between early 20s and mid 30s age-wise. The youngest of the group are Contrarian (definitely the youngest), Hunted, Hero, and Paranoid, probably in that order. The oldest are Smitten, Cheated, Skeptic, and Opportunist, though I can't decide if Smitten or Skeptic should be the oldest-
The younger side of voices (Contra, Hunted, Hero, Paranoid, Cold) are all university students (Contrarian is in uni because Cheated, his older brother in the AU, never did, so of course he had to /lh). The older side is... doing something. I haven't figured that out, but they all sure do have regular jobs and are trying their best to live a normal life. The universe (me) has other plans for them ^^
All voices do know about each other, at least vaguely (having them be five sets of siblings helps with that), but they are not as close of a group as they are in regular post-canon, due to age gaps and general lack of proximity. That does NOT mean that I'm not gonna put all these guys together into The Situations™
So yeah, those are some general ideas I have about my human lads, I probably have some specific headcanons for individual voices, but if I were to list them all here, this post would be like 2000 more words /hj Though if you are interested in a specific character, feel free to send another ask, I will try to write my vague ideas and headcanons down!
Thank you for asking, and I hope you enjoyed reading my random AU ramble!

your jayvik kids are sooo cute 😭🥹 I'd love to hear more about them/ how they joined the family 💖💖
Thank you soo much!!! I'm so glad people are interested on them!! 2022 me was a bit of a coward to not show them back then.
I might as well talk about how each kid joined the family and the order they arrived!
The first to join the family was Brayden, then Chloe, Shiva, Shatter, Nikolai, Amaranthine, Naph and for last Mynx.
I tried to wait until I post the fic I'm trying to write, emphasis on trying. But knowing me, I might give up! So I'm gonna share some details so you all can know the story I want to tell.
LONG RAMBLE BELLOW
1st child, Brayden: It is implied in the first post I made of their biological kids, but if you didn't catch it, Jayce had a cryptid pregnancy! On top of that, JayVik weren't even in a serious relationship (you can assume Jayce was not having the best moment of his life), he didn't show at all and three weeks after they find out, boom! He was born. A thing I decided to change about his design, weeks after I already posted Brayden as newborn, is that he was born with clubfoot, well, oops! Next time I post a baby drawing of him and his feet look weird, totally intentional! His full name is Brayden Hex Talis.
2nd child, Chloe: They take 7 years to have another kid, they've been married for 5. They wanted a new baby earlier but stuff happened, related to Viktor's health (he will be fine!). Probably the only planned pregnancy of three (besides one more, four? spoilers, not going deep into that) and went really well, Jayce showed more and, yeah, she was born healthy! Don't know what much to add, really. Her full name is Chloe Victoria Rubí Talis. (she gets the 3 name treatment because she is just that cool)
3rd child, Shiva: This was the hardest to think about HOW she made it to Piltover, in the first place, I imagined her from Ionia because when I created this AU in 2022 I thought of JayVik as "That celebrity couple that adopts internationally and have lots of kids". This happens four years after Chloe was born, I imagine Jayce travelling to Ionia for HexGates stuff (reminder that Hextech is not bad here), and now let me be a little cliché here! I am allowed! But Jayce find baby Shiva abandoned, her bio parent knowing he was wealthy and could give her a good life, and Jayce did not notify Viktor he was bringing back a baby, at least not that explicitly, I swear it's going to be funny whenever I write this! They have a discussion and Viktor ends up agreeing on adopting her. Her full name is Shiva Iolita Talis. (iolita with capital "i", clarifying just in case, un poquito de comprensión lectora, igual, ponele voluntad)
4th child, Shatter: He is an orphan from an still healing undercity. Viktor goes there every now and then, in one of this trips he find 4 year old Shatter with a huge wound on his face. Viktor has a lot of medical knowledge in here, so he takes Shatter with him to heal him, give him clean clothes, maybe a good meal and let him stay until he is free from getting an infection. It was kinda his turn to bring a kid unannounced, Jayce was just like "what the hell, sure". They ended up adopting him because they ended up loving him too much to leave him in an orphanage until he was healed up, yk. He doesn't have a middle name, so he is just Shatter Talis.
5th child, Nikolai: Around the time they end up adopting Shatter, Jayce once again got pregnant, Niko was born the next year. They found out early on, since Jayce was terrified of having another cryptid pregnancy, he was being extra careful. Again, not much to add, I guess the difference between their previous pregnancies and this one since this time it was a geriatric pregnancy? He is like 38. And let me be cliché again by them having a unplanned homebirth because they are snowed in or smth, jaja. His full name is Nikolai Avalon Talis.
6th child, Amaranthine: Taking a bit of inspiration of what I remember of her og story, she was a recently turned orphan 3 year old, his family dying on a fire and she surviving. Caitlyn was the one keeping her company and called Jayce, not only for helping with the case since he is a Councilor, but also she knew he would look for her as a foster parent without even having to ask, Caitlyn didn't want her to be alone in an orphanage or something after she just went thru a traumatic experience. Like in the og story, Ama asks Jayce to fix a toy for her, and Viktor ends up fixing it for her. JayVik just have a weak spot for children, so even tho they were supposed to take care of her temporally, everyone in the family accepted her and loved her a lot, so she was adopted. As for her full name, I'm still thinking about what to do to give her a similar middle name as the rest or something she was named before she was adopted by JayVik.
7th child, Naph: I had to change a lot of the og story, considering there's no Machine/Arcane Herald. While Viktor and Jayce where visiting Viktor's childhood home deep in the undercity they find Naph camping in there, and also trying to fix Blitzcrank. They learn how Naph is REALLY smart for a 8 year old and quickly trying to figure a way to help him accomplish more stuff, like, getting into the academy and help him rebuild Blitzcrank with better materials. Do I need to say more? LMAO, You know where it goes. Naph and even Blitz end up joining the family (Blitz turning into the honorary older sibling).
8th child, Mynx: She is the oldest yet the last to join the family. I didn't get too deep into the world building in this AU, but I imagine Ekko has like an orphanage, rather a place where most of the orphan kids (that were alone mostly during the times the undercity was at a worse state than then) can rest, eat and stuff, basically where the firelights hideout is. Well, Mynx lives there, but like most of the older kids in there, she still has the mentality of being cautious a really unsafe world. She is regularly stealing from people on the streets. Mynx eventually ends up stealing from Viktor while he was doing some errands in the undercity, and the instant karma hits when she trips and hurts her arm. Viktor rather than leaving her there, takes her with him to close the wound. If he had a nickle for everytime he adopts an undercity orphan he found with injuries he would have two. She wasn't officially adopted but she just never left them, and JayVik cared for her.
The reason only half of them have middle names it's because of respect of their previous identities (since only the 4 that were adopted older don't have second/middle names)

okay so while i work on chapter 2 (I'm so sorry its late I'm a highschool senior with 4 ap classes, 2 gifted classes, and insomnia. I'm trying my best i swear) I'm going to give out some content and stuff like things to expect in the fic
this is friendships/relationships that will kage will experience with small explanations :D (these are out of order)
lev & kage - ok so I plan on having miwa and alisa get together so i find it funny if they were awkward but lev immediately attaches to kage and they're like brothers
akaashi & kage & kenma - ok so they're all introverted and i know kenma and akaashi are cool but like i can see akaashi realize kage is mean or angry just really awkward and weird at times so he recommends him to join his and kenma's game nights and one Minecraft world later they're all attached at the hip
atsumu & osamu & kage - originally i think atsu and kage have a rivalry and mutual respect for each other until atsu realizes samu and kage are good friends (bc kage is always eating samu's curry rice balls, he has become samu unofficial food tester lol) and atsu is obvi trying to be the better twin so they end up getting closer at setters like a more equal standing unlike oikawa & kage or suag & kage who were mentors (in a way looking at you sideways oikawa bc your teaching methods were ... interesting [don't misintterupt this i love oikawa])
ushijima & kage - ok so they're both autistic, you'd have to rip that headcannon out my dead cold hands, and i can see ushijima watching kage and realizing 'oh he is like me' and they just connect like bluetooth
kyotani & kage - i actually love them bc they're both similar to me (i also find oikawa and kyotani's relationship interesting as he is in personality and raw talent and skill similar to kage and ik oikawa felt threatened cb kage was a setter but him moving along with you after the kitagawa incident is very interesting tbh) anyways i imagine they'd accidently connect like at the same gym and bond by shitting on oikawa (i imagine he'd want to hit some of kage's kingly tosses too)
yachi & kage - wlw & mlm solidarity, i love them sm, yachi realizing after seeing kage awkwardly attempt to pet a cat that he is really cute but in a sibling or little kid way so she can no longer find him scary but gets protective and explains social situations for him when he doesn't understand
coach ukai & kage - i imagine while coach takeda was hinata's coach, coach ukai was kage's bc he was blunt in a way kage understood and no extra words for needed, plus i like to think they were both very honest which each other so if ukai said kage was messing up he'd be upset but believe him and take a break
kage & tsuki - so i stand by the fact kage is smart but in odd strangely specific ways like physics but not general science and math and tsuki finds out and loses his shit bc kage is lowkey better than him but doesn't do anything with this, this kinda begins their actual friendship tho bc kage gets to talk about physics (esp astrophysic his favorite bc his dad's job [a personal headcannon])
kogane & kage - kogane worshipping the ground kage walks on bc he is such a good setter and kage trying to help teach kogane but he isn't good with words but despite this kogane understands him somehow!?
kuroo & kage - i think kuroo would recognize kage as someone similar to kenma but not only that but as hinata's best friend and as kenma's best friend who is friends with hinata he'd do some mental math to become kage's friend. plus i think he'd (like tsuki) recognize kage is dumb, but smart in different ways and try to draw it out of him (he also finds it funny to adopt/befriend all the karasuno first years [he has plans for yachi & yama])
tendou & kage - took one look and thought him and ushijima are of the same breed so he could befriend him (probably) but other than that i think tendou being seen as scary or freakish, even being referred to as a monster could relate to kage and his king od the court incident so maybe they'd bond through that
ok that is all i can think of rn and if a friendship isn't on here it's because it probably something I'm already going to do. this list was mostly headcannon or me taking a small relationship, blowing it up, then putting it under a microscope for personal enjoyment
(here is some food: @youwerethedefeated @infinitemilk @ushouldwatchhaikyuu @kagehiner @cosmorom @greynoceur @pixiesnooze @kagehiner )

Meg Winchester | Character Lore
This is just a collection of interesting info and miscellaneous head canons about Meg and her life that I am calling Character Lore (so get this...). Hopefully you can get to know her better! I will be adding to this and changing it as the series develops.
Dean's nickname for Meg is Goose, a Top Gun reference - she is the Goose to his Maverick, his sidekick & wingman.
Sam's nickname for Meg is Scout, as in Scout Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird. Sam read the book in high school when Meg was young (around 2), and Scout reminded him of his sister - funny, defiant, always following after an older brother in dungarees.
Meg often calls Dean "Dean-o", a nickname he'd hate from anyone else. He also gets called Maverick. Meanwhile, Sam is often referred to as Sasquatch or Atticus (another To Kill A Mockingbird reference), and later she adopts Crowley's nickname of Moose.
Meg was born on a meteor shower, in August 1997. Almost every year, the Winchester's spend her birthday at Bobby's, where they stay up late to watch the shooting stars and make wishes.
Meg is very book smart. She grew up on the road with not much to do besides read & learn. As she grows older she becomes a perfectionist, and her attitude to school & studying becomes almost toxic.
She doesn't want to be a hunter and go into the family business (much to her brothers relief). She has seen what is has cost her father & brothers, and indeed herself, and wants something more for herself.
Sam is very proud of how clever Meg is and how well she does at school. He is, however, a little jealous when her SAT scores are better than his.
Meg has complicated feelings around her father and his death. He was not very involved in her life - she was raised primarily by Dean - and was only 8 when he died. She doesn't feel like she's 'missing' much after he dies, as everything a father was/is supposed to do, Dean does.
Dean & Meg's relationship is similar to Jesse & Michelle from Full House.
Sam reads Meg a bed time story every night (before Stanford). When he returns, he reads her The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, etc., doing different voices for each character. Only Dean is allowed to do the voice of Smaug.
As a kid who spent her entire childhood with Dean, she is very similar to him in many ways and spends her formative years following him around and imitating him. As she grows up, she finds herself becoming a perfect mix of both her brothers, which she - and they - love.
When Meg was about 2 and her hair was getting longer, the boys decided they needed to be able to braid it. Sam practiced on Meg when she would sit still (which wasn't very often), and Dean practiced on Sam.
Although Dean would always follow John's orders, he did occasionally talk back to or even refuse John if it wasn't the best thing for Meg. When John suggested she learn to shoot at age 7, Dean flat out refused. John never brought it up again.
She rarely talks about or asks after her mother, who abandoned her on a motel doorstep when she was a baby. As far as Meg is concerned, her mother never wanted her, so why should she want her mother?
When Sam dies in All Hell Breaks Lose, Meg isn't there. But the sight of her dead brother, and the empty look in Dean's eyes cause her nightmares for weeks. When Sam is brought back, she becomes exceptionally clingy for a while.
Sam and Dean both cry at her high school graduation (and later her college graduation too).
Dean tries to give Meg the childhood he never had and could never give Sam. She's never hungry, she isn't trained like a soldier, he spoils her when he can with toys, books, etc. from thrift shops. One year he even hustled enough money to take her to Disney World (she cried with excitement, ate too much Mickey Mouse shaped food, and threw up. It was the best day ever.)
Meg is homeschooled for the most part, but sometimes enrols in Sioux Falls if they are with Bobby for extended periods. Sam doesn't want her to feel like an outsider or a freak as he often did growing up & changing schools frequently, so while she is young and the boys can still teach her, they do. As she gets older and hits middle/high school, they look at schools and getting her enrolled somewhere full time, which is easiest when they are settled (such as the time with Lisa/Amelia, when they find the Bunker, etc.)
In the car crash at the end of Season 1, Meg badly breaks her right leg. It eventually heals, but the knee causes her issues for the rest of her life.
She becomes very close with Ellen & Jo, Charlie, Jody, Donna, etc., as she didn't have many female figures in her life growing up. She isn't as close with/fond of Lisa and Amelia, as she felt that her brothers should have been looking for one another during their time with their respective girlfriends, rather than trying to live a normal, apple pie life.
When she was little and would play games with other kids (at school, playgrounds, etc.), other kids would suggest they play 'Mommies & Daddies', but Meg would always request to play 'Dean's and Daddies, or 'Dean's and Sammy's'.
As they get older, more and more people would mistake Dean & Meg for father and daughter. Neither minded, and they rarely corrected the assumption.
At first, Meg dislikes Ben, Claire, Krissy, etc., as she feels threatened by them & how much her brother's (especially Dean) care for them. Meg has always felt insecure in her place in the family, and seeing her brother's interact with and care for other kids makes her uneasy. This is most apparent with Ben in the year they live together. However, she usually warms up to them after some time and reassurance from her brothers.
Sam tries to get Meg into running. She (reluctantly) agrees to go once and doesn't hate it (but don't tell Sam that). She doesn't go all the time, but if she's stressed or worried, running with Sam helps her take her mind off it for a while.
When Mary is brought back, neither women know how to act with one another. Mary is uncomfortable with Meg's presence (existence) at first, and Meg is scared she will be replaced or kicked out. Meg tries to leave for a while to make things easier on Mary, but neither Sam nor Dean will let her. Eventually, they work things out, and Mary and Meg become friends.
Meg is similar to Dean on the dating front. She is bisexual, and her and Dean often argue over who gets to hit on waitresses.
When Bobby died, none of the Winchester's knew how to cope. Meg would lash out at her brothers, throwing teenage tantrums. Dean was confused at first, until Sam pointed out Dean responds in a similar way. Then they sat and tried to work through their feelings together (it got a bit messy).
During 1x12, when Dean was dying, Meg snuck Sam's phone away from him and called their Dad. He didn't pick up, but she left him a message, begging him to come help Dean. He never showed.
Bobby loved all the Winchesters, but he had a real soft spot for Meg. She had her own room in his house which he painted pink (and then yellow, when she decided she grew out of pink) and where she kept her toys. He taught her about fixing cars, lore, and began teaching her Latin and Greek at her request.
Sam and Meg going on library trips and reading 'dates' together. They sit and read, or talk about their books in their mini book club. It's a nice way for them both to unwind and spend some quality time together. As their circle expands, it grows to include Charlie, then Jack, Alex and Patience, but Sam and Meg always make sure they take time for just the two of them.
When the Winchesters moved into the Bunker, Meg - like Dean - loved having and decorating her own room. Dean took her to a hardware store for supplies so she could put up shelves, hang pictures, etc. Meg wanted to turn her closet into wall-to-wall bookshelves, but instead Dean cleared out one of the many bedrooms for Meg to turn into her own personal, mini library (no lore books allowed).
Meg is an emotional reader. Often the boys find her crying and immediately panic, but she just gestures at her book. Dean rolls his eyes and leaves, but Sam will sit with her and let her talk about the book, comforting her over the deaths of fictional characters.
Like Sam, Meg has a big heart and likes to believe the best of people. She often bumps heads with Dean because of this.
For her 16th birthday, Dean fixes one of the many cars in the Bunker's garage, a red 1950 Ford Mustang. Whereas Dean nicknamed his car 'Baby', Meg calls hers the 'Pussy Wagon'. It’s an accurate description.
On cases, when victims or witnesses ask Dean if he has kids, he always says yes.
Meg is the only other person (occasionally) who can play music in Dean's car (Sam finds this infuriating). While they generally have similar taste (Zeppelin rules), she often likes to play ABBA or Elton John, mostly just to mess with Dean. She likes modern music too, including Hozier, Florence & the Machine, and Taylor Swift. She's convinced Dean is a secret Swiftie.
Sam and Meg love watching Harry Potter, the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit, and other similar films together (Sam insists she reads all the books before watching the films). Every year around fall and Christmas they binge all the films.
The boys always want Meg to have a normal life (as normal as possible). Sam and Dean have to encourage Meg to go and socialise with people her own age, to the point where Dean straight up tells her to sneak out to a party. She does, but doesn't drink much, and instead hustles the other kids at beer pong & makes $150. Dean's never been prouder.
When it comes to college, Dean, and especially Sam, make the experience as different from Sam's as possible. Sam helps Meg with her applications, they all read the acceptance letter's together and celebrate when she gets accepted to her first choice. They help her pack her things, load them into Baby, and make a 25 hour drive to campus. Sam cries, both at leaving Meg, and for himself and the college experience he never had.
In one of the Bunker's many rooms, Meg finds a dusty old piano. By some miracle, it's still tuned, so she begins teaching herself. It becomes one of her school extracurriculars, and Sam & Dean attend every recital she performs in (Dean sheds a tear at the first one, but if you ever ask him about it, he'll deny it. Or punch you).
Meg and Jack become best friends, fast. She's never really had anyone she can talk to about everything. Even when Dean doesn't trust him, Meg does. They watch TV together, she shows him Vines and memes, and Meg teaches Jack everything there is to know about the world, about being human.
Growing up in a series of crap motels sometimes meant no working heaters and cracked windows. On cold nights, Sam and Dean would squish into bed either side of Meg, creating the 'Meg Sandwich'. She still convinces her brothers to do it on cold nights or when she's feeling sad.
All three Winchester's are quick to correct anyone who refers to Meg as the boys' 'half sister'. She's their sister, through and through - family ain't about blood, after all.
Meg struggles with depression, anxiety, and PTSD - as you'd expect from someone who grew up the way she did. She gets separation anxiety after her brothers come back from the dead (after Sam died in Season 2, Dean in Seasons 4 and 8) and hates being apart from them. She often gets panic attacks or gets stuck in her own head, and the boys (especially Dean) work hard to equip themselves with the knowledge and tools they need to help her. They develop the 'Code Black', which means Meg is in a bad place and they need to drop everything and go to her.
Meg meets one of her best friends when she is 16. It is a schoolmate of hers whose house is haunted. She convinces her friend, Lucy, to let her brother's investigate, and they get rid of the ghost. Having a friend who knows about the supernatural makes things easier.
To be continued..... (probably)

I'm not colouring them✨
Character References:
Mario:
Tumblr media
Luigi:
Tumblr media
Bob:
Tumblr media
It's not that I dont like them any less than the others
It's that I already have a lot of the characters coloured, I wanna be done doing references after Meggy, Tari, 3 and Shroomy are done
Maybe I'll come back and colour them some day but literally every time I look at them, I back up and colour someone else instead. My mind dreads colouring them for whatever reason so im just not going to ✌️
Mario:
Isn't a true blooded Elf, he was born outside of the Elf community and adopted alongside Luigi. SMG4s' influence caused the man to grow up Memey and Goofy bc 4 was basically their 3rd brother
Knows how much Four wants to make an impact but unfortunately doesn't really know how to properly help the guy other than doing this one favour.... That he constantly messes up bc he lacks some brain cells up there
Was gifted Elf Powers, and eventually because of how funny Mario was to Four. When Four became the next Santa he bestowed THE FUNNY powers onto Mario just to watch him do wacky shit
Mario is like if a dog took human shape- hes always hungry, loves you a bunch if youre in his friend group, not the smartest but tries his best, will destroy anyone who touches his family, and is a certified silly lil guy
All things considered, he's pretty lazy. He has no interest in making toys so instead does Meme Reviews of what Four makes for his youtube channel. Afterall if Mario doesn't laugh that definitely means it's not funny!
Luigi:
While Four was like a 3rd brother to the twins, Luigi didn't really get into the memes as much as Mario. Instead he liked following around Fours mother in order to watch her do motherly things. Finding them interesting
Awesome cook and loves to stay in the kitchen making home meals for as many elves as possible by hand alone, before needing to rely on his magic to do the rest
Bit of a scardy cat but brave when you need him to be
Sense Mario has 1 braincell on Christmas Eve, Luigi volunteered himself to travel with his brother around the world in order to make sure Christmas isnt ruined by wrong deliveries or Mario isnt arrested by Hal for speeding (yes they need to remind him every year that theyre allowed to go this fast)
Bob:
Mari Lwyd - Idea given to me by @liliththequeenofdemon
Mari Lwyd goes from door to door engaging in a song with the owners of the house, and if the owners yield they have to invite the horse inside. Give it food and drink.
So she proposed to me that Bob goes door to door rap battling people for alcohol and it was honestly perfect
Hes just like Bob in the cannon SMG4 universe. I don't wanna change him much bc that was the purpose of involving him in the first place. Hes fine how he is lol

Random fun fact about my oc in romance vn/game :D
Context : when I play some otome game/vn, I don't put my own name; instead, I like to put my oc name and personality that is most interesting/fitting to the vn.
Hayden Stoneheart (she/any) x Casper from A Date With Death
A bit of her actual story : [REDACTED] was never meant to exist, she was a product of a mistake, a product of an angle and a mere mortal. How the two couples even met was unknown, but the damage was done, and the high-ranking member of heaven was right to send her away to the mortal realm after an accident that cost [REDACTED] her job, her life, and now her only "sister." Now with a new identity as Hayden she will still help those in need until she sees a random ping on her computer.
Yes, her name isn't actually Hayden.
The trope ex gaudian angle x grim reaper and sunshine x moonlight.
Legally a mother of 1, emotionally a mother of 3, spiritually a mother of 5, and none of them is her bio kid. XD
Casper only knows her legal kid
the most "canon" ending they're getting is ending 2,6,7, or 8
at some point, Casper have think about how good his name is with hers last name (I mean come on, Casper Stoneheart kinda slap lol) then he just lay in bed kicking his feat about this stupid half mortal.
Hayden was really on to Casper's way of typing because she's an English teacher.
Casper somehow managed to get all of her favorite flowers without even trying, and that is when she fell for him.
The only other person who has called her "sunshine" was her mother.
So when 5012 keeps calling her "sunshine" mokingly, she just wants to rip his head off lol.
Unironically called Casper "moonlight" when she gets sappy.
Hayden is pretty sure that she is older than Casper, but they can't confirm that.
very overprotective of Casper in the DLC.
For a split second Casper thought that Hayden was married when she mentioned that she had a kid, and let the biggest sigh of relief when she said that they adopted.
They both would have killed and died for each other.
Cassidy (she/they) x Ren/[REDACTED] from 14 Days With you
I remember that there is an easter egg if you name yourself "Kitsune" in-game so I thought it would be funny to give them an actual kitsune "angle"
Ren is Cassie's personal ladder when it comes to anything. (She's 5'4)
She might be bad at cooking but amazing at baking and Ren likes to order her pastries.
Became a needy and cligy lil shit when she's with [REDACTED].
While [REDACTED] has the rings from their childhood, Cassie has a bouquet of flowers made from paper but never get the chance to give it to them. until now
She always tries to find an excuse to hold Ren's hand especially after day 5. (the excuse is mostly for herself)
Most people and REDACTED think that her type is someone like Ren but it's actually someone like REDACTED.
They like to take care (like brushing, etc) because her hair is long (it fall to her knee) and soft :D
Would love it when she let him pet her ears as a thanks.
Her tail is REDACTED's personal pillow, in turn their thigh/tits chets becomes hers.
there will be more in this very post I just want to put out something while Im getting the mood to keep drawing lol
Cassie likes to give Ren nicknames like love, hunny, babe, cutie, etc and they melt every time.
She actually like to sometimes dress alternative, the opposite of her cute pastel pink style for fun

heyyyyyyy!! so i saw that your reqs were open and thought id throw one in since YK- LOVE UR WORK!
and ik ive been requesting this kind of thing only (if u dont wanna do it for this reason, i understand!!) but- Could I please have a Yanplatonic Mephisto/Lucifer/Amaimon x Reader?
This time could you maybe do it with Reader being human, An exwire and completely unrelated to them at all. They hate demons with a passion, But somehow these mfs suddenly decide "yep, new sibling" and surprise adopt kidnap her?
Thanks for considering!! Love your work, Make sure to take breaks if tired!
-TML
YES!!!working on this kind of this is what make Requests so fun!Amaimon will be kind of funny to write🤣 thanks for the Request ❤️
PD: for some reason i imagine this Reader has some Shinobu personality? It's hinch.
Platonic Yandere Mephisto Pheles,Lucifer and Amaimon x Ex-wire! Reader
Genre: Headcanons
Reader: female
Warnings: YANDERE BEHAVIOR, PLATONIC YANDERE, OBSESIVE BEHAVIOR, MENTIONS OF BREAKING READER, FORCED FAMILITY, the three of them TOGHETHER on the title is NOT enough warning?? Illuminati, Amaimon is Mean sometimes--
SPOILERS FROM THE MANGA!!!
As said above, (reader) has a very complicated past with demons, to the point of hating them.
It can honestly be anything, whether your family has been affected by the blue night, by District 13 or simply that your parents have been exorcists who have died in the line of duty.
In any case, (reader) ended up developing a great hatred towards these creatures and decided that she would become an exorcist, in order to get out all that pent-up rage.
In general, I imagine this (reader) as a quite aggressive person and has trouble opening up, so she gets her emotions out through outbursts of anger.
but at the same time he is very intelligent, he uses his environment to his advantage and knows how to take advantage of his resources.
He has what we call "street smarts"
I have no idea who would be the one to take care of (reader) during her training before being Ex-wire, although with her personality, she would run away from any caregiver she had.
(I think the only exception would be Angel because 1- he is strong like that and 2- they share a similar hatred towards demons).
(reader) manages to enter the Ex-wire class, and stands out both for better... and for worse.
First of all, her classmates have a difficult time trying to talk to her (even Shiemi) precisely because of her closed attitude, in addition to the fact that she has constant friction with Izumo and even with Bon.
and most importantly she feels something strange with Rin...
(reader) doesn't know what it is, but she already hates it.
The only one safe from his outbursts is practically Konekomaru (and the weird kid with the puppets, whatever his name is).
It is because of this very fuss that it causes that it ends up attracting the wrong attention.
Mephisto is the first to have interest in (reader)
Not from the beginning as such, no no, although Mephisto had noticed her completely wild attitude compared to her companions (which he found hilarious to say the least) I think it would not be the trigger for him to become interested in (female reader).
I think it's only until (the reader) gets to share her experience, her horrible past with demons, the pure, burning HATE she has for them, that Mephisto finds her very interesting.
Oh humans, so diverse and with many facets~
but Mephisto definitely liked how open she (reader) was in her hatred, that she wasn't looking for moral supremacy or anything like that, she just wanted blood and she loves that!
so he tries to approach in a very unsubtle way and see more of that side knowing how much she hates demons.
appearing out of nowhere in the hallways to scare her and make her curse him, appearing in his dog form in her room to parasite (and then being kicked out) and a long etc.
In this way he not only became involved in the life of (the reader) but also learned more about her in the process, giving emphasis to the growing obsession.
Mephisto wants to know more about this "problematic" student who has caught his interest, whether it is having her academic record or all the information he has and whatever he has, he is not satisfied until he has it all.
It's almost as if I had replaced reading manga with the history of (reader)😅🤣
In this way, now every time he ran into (the reader), Mephisto made jokes and pranks that were increasingly more personal, more intimate.
and that is very scary.
apart from the fact that he behaves in a more... sticky way with (reader).
and that is VERY obvious.
He greets you with a HUG or a pat on the head (no, he doesn't care if you bite him or try to hit him).
and he is even the first to ask (reader) to call him "Oni-chan"
(how fucking disgusting--)
Mephisto is like the older brother who constantly bothers you.
and it is very difficult to get out of its grip.
Do you try to go outside the bedrooms? appears in the form of a dog.
Do you try to go for a walk around campus? appears randomly. It is impossible to surprise him.
But he does have something like an agent that helps him keep (the reader) in line.
That's when Amaimon comes in.
Honestly, he wouldn't be interested in (reader) at first, even though his older brother seemed to have an interest in her.
So, when he told him to keep an eye on her, he didn't think much of it other than it was a nuisance.
While Amaimon finds the task of "taking care of (reader)" annoying, he can't really do much against his brother. Although I think that to have fun from time to time he would make some things happen to (reader) just to make her angry. Like trowing insects at her or even leaving Creepy ass things in her locker.
It's boring for him, better than being a hamster, but extremely boring, so he starts picking on her.
She clearly sees him and curses him every time she sees him about to do something "mischievous" to her or when she hears him commenting on how "weak she is" in training. He thinks it's funny to see her all grumbling.
although eventually it becomes more than that.
Amaimon seems quite carefree, but as time goes by, he takes his "task" of "protecting" (reader) more seriously.
After all, being so weak, who else could take care of her?
He is one of the first to kill for the "well-being" of (reader).
I mean, he can do it as long as it's not one of the Okumura brothers, let him have some fun.
at the same time that he begins to want to have more interaction with (reader) beyond making her angry.
fight, for example.
After all, there must be something about her that caught her older brother's attention. Maybe she has something that he doesn't realize?
although without knowing it he is only falling into the same obsessive trap as his brother.
Once Amaimon becomes a student, rest assured that he will be glued to (reader) and insist that they fight, but she either tells him to fuck off every time or tries to escape from his grasp, without success.
It's like the meme of "fight me You nerd ass punk"🤣
Although don't get me wrong, I think he would be the most manageable of the three, even the "best" brother as far as possible.
(Bonus if you are a distant relative of Shiemihaza, maybe it would explain why Mephisto likes to mess with you so much, to screw with the Vatican)
He already understood that he can't make (the reader) fight with him by bothering her, so now he's simply trying to "figure out" what the hell he does to get there.
although at the same time, being as carefree as he is, he doesn't have so much problem giving (the reader) some time alone and can even distract Mephisto for a while so that she is less irritable.
Amaimon discovers that he actually likes it when (reader) talks and doesn't just grunt.
He's like that awkward brother but if you do him a favor he'll have your back, more or less.
Because he wants you to spend time with him.
It makes (the reader) at least watch him fight if she's not going to fight him.
I think Lowkey wants to show her how strong he is because well, Ego. but it is also a way to measure the strength of (reader) by her reactions. And intimation
although I doubt this (reader) will be intimidated.
He is definitely the first to suggest eliminating (reader's) entire family if she has one left :)
He's not really a fan of (reader) calling him a brother like Mephisto, but he demands the respect of an older brother and at some point he won't let (reader) walk all over him.
Mephisto and him argue about whether it's a good idea to let him (reader) fight him or not, precisely because Mephisto doesn't want him to get hurt.
and Amaimon WANTS to understand what made him become so attached to her. Maybe by fighting he will understand.
NOW, THE MAIN COURSE.
LUCIFER
(reader) at first would only know him from certain mentions of Amaimon that came to nothing, but when the Illuminati's declaration of war occurs or in any case something related to section 13, she understands everything...
There's a small chance that Shima told the Illuminati about (reader) seeing how "close" she was to Mephisto, which would make Lucifer interested.
Why are his brothers so interested in a completely human student who isn't even related to them?
(reader: same man, same)
So naturally he makes them investigate (reader) to understand why out of nowhere his brothers seem so attached to a simple human.
Who knows, maybe it will serve the Illuminati in some way.
(ignoring the hypothetical case of being a descendant of ShiemiHaza) when Lucifer does not find anything really relevant in his search, he is more doubtful than before, but he reasons, perhaps the human has some kind of ritual that only Mephisto knows about.
There HAS to be something that makes his brother like this.
For the same reason, if Lucifer tries to ask Mephisto directly, he becomes very defensive, telling him to stay away from the students and especially from (the reader).
which only gives him more motivation to want to know more about her.
so 1- seeing that she really doesn't want to be with Mephisto and Amaimon orders Shima to recruit her or 2- (more likely) he directly kidnaps her during the declaration of war on the true cross :)
Be that as it may, (reader) ends up on the Illuminati ship more deranged than ever, and well, it makes sense, now they not only harass her, chase her and pull her from one place to another, but they kidnap her!
Even if Lucifer maintains manners and courtesy, as soon as (the reader) realizes that he is a demon, he becomes wild and tries to get out by all possible means, including jumping off the ship!
Fortunately, Homare constantly watches her and, to his relief, she is not very talkative.
But Lucifer is still quite confused. If this human has absolutely nothing special then why is he important?
although he understands a little better when Mephisto demands that he return his "sister"
Ah, so that was it. family ties.
He is the quickest to accept that (reader) is something like a new brother, so as soon as he finds out this new information, he goes to (reader) and demands to know EVERYTHING about her.
likes, dislikes, what her life was like, her abilities, her weaknesses, whatever, his most obsessive side comes to light.
and (reader) is so confused that she barely answers 1/4 of the questions.
Now, Lucifer is like combining Mephisto and Amaimon.
He is very protective, but he is not on top of (reader) all day (at least not the same one, Homare is usually the one who watches the reader)
He wants (reader) to treat him like an older brother and be referred to as such, but he doesn't force her.
uses a similar approach as with Yukio. He slowly attracts her so that she gets used to HIM.
but it doesn't mean it's not bad.
If (reader) still has a family, he will use them as a constant threat against (reader) to improve her attitude and behavior, he is not above killing them if he feels particularly jealous.
Although I think he would kill (reader)'s sibilings if she had them. After all, she already has him and his brothers, humans could never be equal.
He doesn't spend as much time with (reader) as the other two, but he makes up for it with PRETTY expensive gifts and things he knows she likes (from stalking her).
I think he would only return (reader) if a kind of agreement is reached with Mephisto, in which they both share (reader) and Amaimon goes with her when she is with both of them, that way Mephisto can ensure that Lucifer returns (reader) (reader) and vice versa.
I know this was about their relationship as brothers with (reader) but it reminds me a lot of divorced parents who share custody of their children... although of course, these parents are crazy.
going straight all together, it's not as bad as one would think.
Mephisto is the biggest pain in the ass, that's for sure. He is VERY POSSESSIVE of (reader) to an almost ridiculous point.
He likes to put clothes similar to him, it's a way of "showing dominance" and he likes to think that this way they seem more like a family.
Being with him prepare yourself for a lot of unwanted physical contact and to spend HOURS watching your former classmates suffer from his tricks and be left on the sidelines because you can no longer even carry a weapon...
INFANTILIZATION AT MAXIMUM POWER, he loves to pamper (the reader) and act as if she were a little girl, either because it amuses him to see her angry or because for someone who is thousands of years old like him, she IS indeed a baby.
he reacts VERY badly to rules being broken, if (reader) wants to save herself from punishment (most likely having broken bones, even if he speeds up time so it's not THAT bad, it's horrible) she should go to Amaimon.
He's the best, I already said it.
more than anything because he "understands" better the situation of stress under the thumb of his older brother and now he can understand affection a little better, even if it is still toxic.
but don't be fooled.
If he sees the slightest possibility that (reader) is going to leave him, then he will tell Mephisto or Lucifer to ruin any plan, that's how he is.
apart from the fact that he follows (reader) s everywhere to "inform" Mephisto and Lucifer of his well-being. and it is impossible to lose him, he has a connection with the entire earth and a great ability to find what he wants. Do not even try.
although as long as you give him some affection and treats, he's actually quite manageable, not clingy or overly jealous, just very aggressive and protective.
(another who would want to kill the reader's brothers when seeing them as a threat to their relationship).
and Lucifer...he's a mix.
he's not AS possessive as Mephisto, but he definitely wants everyone to know that (reader) is HIS sister.
He has great respect for the rules and he wants them to be followed, but when it is (the reader) who breaks them, he is much more lenient.
Be careful, I don't want to say that he is exempt from horrible punishments, if (reader) exceeds a limit of errors, then he will not be saved from one.
but Lucifer goes more for the Psychological side of things.
It makes (reader) believe that she is in control of the situation, a situation where she has no real advantage.
In this way he gains her favor but causes him to fall into his trap.
because HE is the one who is in control of everything. If (reader) goes far, it is because he allows it.
very protective, more than Mephisto, if it were up to him she wouldn't leave the Illuminati base, but at the same time he gives (reader) much more autonomy than Pheles.
It's very difficult to come to terms with him, but at least you can use his own sense of the rules against him :D
I think that the one most likely to break (reader) would be Mephisto, followed by Lucifer, these two would undoubtedly do it on purpose so that (reader) would stop trying to escape. Amaimon would only do it by accident due to his lack of knowledge of the human mind.
If (reader) develops Stockholm syndrome, Mephisto is throwing a fucking party! even LUCIFER would be happy (reader) has returned to her senses! and Amaimon would be happy but he would definitely miss the anger.
In short, it's chaos, but it balances out in certain curious ways so you get a little bit of each world.
Overall, it's a VERY fucked up yandere trio to be with, but look on the bright side! you will never be alone...
Tumblr media
Shares, reblogs and comments are very welcome!
thanks for the request ❤️
ahhhh I loved writing this but I feel like some parts are messy?😭 or maybe because it's my longest fic so far?? I hope you like it and I'm sorry if it's too loaded!

I want to talk about my Iggy hcs so I will >:]
As he became a captain in Bowser's army, he's gotten really interested in inventing and creates many gadgets and weapons to use for combat.
Was originally inspired to invent because of Ludwig. When they were kids, Ludwig had made a little toy Mechakoopa for him and he thought it was the coolest thing ever. Later on, Iggy finds the blueprints for it and invents a more complete version that breathes fire. It surprisingly didn't cause as much damage as you would think.
Modified his wand so it could shift into various weapons. He has to spin his wand to activate the process to get it to shift.
He has extensive knowledge on weapons and had to learn and practice a lot on how to use different kinds in order to incorporate it into his fighting style.
He also uses weapons that usually emit electricity as well.
Most people think since he's always inventing gadgets to use, that he modified his glasses to have a bunch of different functions in them but they're just normal glasses. His reason being: "People want to punch me in the face too much to risk it."
He can draw and design weapons in graphic detail but when he’s actually drawing anything else it looks like chicken scratch. He writes in all caps and it's basically unreadable since he writes so fast.
He adopted his first Chain Chomp, Fred when he was 15. Over the years, he now owns 5 Chain Chomps altogether. Fred is the oldest and smallest of the group and is about the size of a yoga ball. Usually, if Iggy isn't able to be around to take care of them, Morton is the one who does.
He usually likes giving people nicknames, and finds it funny if the person particularly doesn’t like the one he gives them.
Mostly impartial for most things but has very strong food opinions and is probably the only hill he will die the hardest on when arguing. He hates pineapple on pizza and will hate it to the bitter end.
He laughs a lot whenever he speaks even if nothing is particularly funny. He also likes to make random sounds and hums to himself from time to time.
Used to hate eye contact as a kid. His eyes are quite unnerving to look at and it would usually scare people away from him. Even so, eye contact is very important for him to begin to trust somebody since it's the only way he can tell if someone is comfortable being around him.
He hates it when people think because of his joking manner that he usually has no clue of what's going on and doesn't take things seriously because of it. Can't a Koopa have some whimsy in his life?
He's taken up gardening because of Kamek and keeps plants in his workshop. He's also given all his siblings a plant he thinks that best fits them and one that he knows they can take care of. Everyone does their best to care of their plants!
His room is surprisingly very tidy but it's only because he's always sleeping in his workshop. The only time he'll be sleeping in his room is if one of his siblings had caught him sleeping in his workshop and scolded him to go sleep in his actual room. (No one is going to bother carrying him back. That man is 6’5 and it will be like picking up a long wet noodle).
Can't dance for shit, like he literally has no rhythm. The only move he knows is the floss and it took the gang forever to teach him how in the first place.
His fav music genres are EDM, techno, dubstep, and really just anything with a fast beat. Mostly listens to instrumentals. Also unironically listens to atrocious mixes. Like music that sounds like this (warning for the 2nd link is loud). It just leaves everyone flabbergasted.
He's become friends with Harriet when Bowser had his failed wedding on the moon, and the Koopalings had to come and get him afterwards. Both are total geeks in weaponry so they immediately clicked. Harriet is so energetic that even someone as energetic as Iggy gets worn out by her at times. Even so, the two match each other's energy in how much trouble they like causing so it’s never anything that’s actually a problem. He also gets along with Madame Broode being fellow Chain Chomp owners.

I've posted on this website before about how I work with young disabled men. I want to briefly discuss how the concept and social stigma surrounding incels has resulted in some pretty poor mental health outcomes for many of them.
tbh I think it's diminishing and dangerous that incels have acquired this normative assumption of autism when we discuss them.
It's like when people assumed incels were all insecure racist white boys before researchers actually identified, no, it's a pretty wide mix of racial backgrounds, and there's even specific in-community incel language that describes racial identity. One of the themes incels focus on and one of the narratives they use to radicalize some men is the idea that race is a direct barrier to dating predicated on this idea that women who aren't white are going to date men who are specifically to "climb up" away from systemic racist realities. Race, to incels, becomes a thing that depreciates one's value in the dating pool, and by presuming incels are white we ignore this important aspect in understanding how they actually reach and radicalize young men, and how those young men understand themselves as not right-wing while adopting violently right-wing beliefs, because acknowledging a "currycel" (sorry) experiences racism feels progressive to them.
With that in mind, I think we beefed it by applying an unrealistic stereotype of offputting autistic men to this demographic.
We think of incels and we think of a range of abnormal and antisocial beliefs, sometimes poor hygiene, that some of these men are fat (👀) or make bad facial hair decisions, that they sometimes dress oddly, that they're socially anxious or awkward, all of that. We also hear their strict irrational "evo psych" understanding of sex and gender, notice it establishes a narrow path of logic sort of like Commander Data trying to describe his cat, and attribute all of this to a learned stereotype of Asperger's Syndrome we've culturally acquired from Forrest Gump, Arnie Grape, Sheldon Cooper, all them boys.
In other words, we're taking a pre-existing stereotype of an autistic man and applying it, in my opinion very inappropriately, to this universalised idea of an incel. Which is dangerous because fitness, hygiene and fashion are some of the things these podcasts and communities hyperfixate on, so you're as likely to find incel beliefs among these three people:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In order:
Fredric Brennan, former moderator of "wizardchan," the actual birthplace of the incel movement. Please stop attributing it to a bisexual woman who just wanted to fuck nasty, she coined the term but her shit was totally removed from this. It is weird that this is constantly presented as some kind of funny oddity. Real "women hunting desperately to find a woman they can blame for misogyny" vibe, I say as a cisgender man way out of line lol. Anyway, Brennan is a complex dude undergoing his redemption arc. I'm not interested in engaging in any discourse about him with able-bodied people because the concept of explaining pro-eugenics disabled people to outsiders makes me crave euthanasia. Just know I am deeply anti-heel Brennan, mildly pro-babyface Brennan.
The Amazing Atheist. In high school one of my friends said I remind them of him and this was genuinely worse than any slur I have ever been called.
Andrew Tate, who I include to point out, is a fitness grifter as much as he is the incel king. He's the part of the incel marketing pipeline that "teaches you how to get laid." He's not hot to me, but you cannot deny he's physically healthy and looks like he bathes; he is not the stereotype we apply to incels, despite being the dude so many incels model their lives around.
Anyway, autistic men see the inappropriate use of autistic stereotypes to describe the incel phenomenon, see themselves in the stereotype, and think, oh. Well, that describes me, so I guess if I'm "being forced onto a side as a man," I am automatically on that team, because what that team is saying is "people will hate you for having these traits" and with all of these people describing people like me s potential school shooters or rapists, well, that sure seems to be the case.
I know this isn't how reality looks to the rest of us. But this is a conversation I have had to have with so many sexist boys in my class. When you're disabled and socially isolated, you become hypersensitive to anything that looks like you being used negatively, because it reinforces that sense of isolation and thus feels more true.
This is why I think it's important to attack ideologies, not create characters of the people we oppose, because it almost always results in applying some ableist character to those people.
See also: the equivocation of schizophrenia and conspiracy theorists / conspiracists.
The reality is, the kind of false reality beliefs that conspiracists have does not align with patterns in disorders that feature psychosis. Nevertheless, we apply the concept to them.
Take the tinfoil hat. A schizophrenic or someone with severe OCD might actually, yes, believe that if they don't wear a certain item, some bad thing is going to happen to them, ie. demons will take over my body or my thoughts will be stolen. A conspiracist believes if they don't shield their brain from electromagnetic waves, the 6G towers are going to steal their thoughts. A key difference here is, the person in psychosis came to this conclusion apophenically, somewhat randomly, and influenced by the specific background of concepts familiar to them in culture. The conspiracist was radicalized down an often internally consistent pipeline of beliefs and aesthetics by an observable environmental cause, ie. QAnon, Fox News, InfoWars, or a cult.
But we apply the concept of schizophrenia to the conspiracist due to a limited understanding of both - "they believe things that aren't true" - and in so doing, make life a little harder for schizophrenics by essentially using their existence as a kind of slur to mean "a bad person who's ideas I should dismiss," the exact opposite of how you should understand and engage with a schizophrenic.
In fact, incels and conspiracy theorists share a lot of similarities because incels are conspiracy theorists.
Their "international banking" is feminism.
Their "great replacement theory" is "the feminization of men."
The only reason people seem to perceive a difference is this sometimes unconscious concept that incels are autistic and conspiracy theorists are schizophrenic, which misrepresents both by attributing a caustic radical belief system to neurodivergence, a dangerous precedent both for the disabled, and in actually addressing the issues of inceldom and conspiracy theorism.
