one of the funniest things is during all nine episodes luffy did not actively have one single plan except "become the worlds greatest pirate and find the one piece". he spent at max a month? less? at sea and everything he accomplished (taking down FOUR feared pirates in like a week, stealing the grand line map, finding a faithful and loyal crew, getting a bounty of 30 million on his head, etc) was mostly by accident. he stumbles into trouble and then proceeds to become the trouble

if you talk to the average conservative voter, they'll always talk about their conservative representative with unabashed enthusiasm. "this guy is supporting my rights!!!!!" even when the representative is very much not supporting their voting constituents' rights in some cases (ie. poor white ppl not realizing they're getting poorer because of their representative)

and I bet that's why conservative candidates are so good at winning. any person listening to their voters only gets a great impression of the candidate.

and if you talk to the average liberal/leftist voter, they all hem and haw. "oh yeah, I voted for them but they're Okay, they're Disappointing. they haven't done this. they haven't done that." and I bet if you fucking pressed them to state some Good Beneficial Legislation they've passed, either the voter 1. can't name any, or 2. has to attach caveats. ("yeah biden passed student loan forgiveness BUT not ALL loans were forgiven")

why aren't we ever excited about incremental progress. why aren't we cheering to the sky about every win. maybe more people would vote if there was genuine excitement, the same type of excitement that conservative voters seem to have about anything labeled "conservative".

I'm just so fucking tired of hearing ppl be like "I'm just disillusioned with my leftist representative" EVERY TIME but are DEAD SILENT on the small victories, the progress. conservatives know how to do this, and that's why they build momentum into the next election. why does this seem impossible for the other side.

My ideal Boba Fett is a beautiful mix of Episode V badassery & Danger Vibes™️combined with a tendency towards ridiculous circumstances and unintentional goofiness that truly embodies the legacy of his Space Dinosaur riding introduction in the holiday special. Like I love a Boba who is dedicated to whatever his mission may be but also SO petty and bitchy too. He's so over-the-top sometimes (no disintegrations!!!!!) it becomes camp almost. Like that's MY Boba Fett trying to set Chewie on fire for no good reason but spite while they're both trying to hide from enemies next door. That's MY Boba full contact wrestling on the floor with Luke Skywalker in Ben's Hutt on Tattooine instead of just fighting like normal people. And you KNOW that's my Boba Fett taking a 3 credit bounty on a guy just because he's right there and annoying him (you still have to pay up the 3 creds though). I just love a Boba Fett that's just so over the top and intense about it.

I mean, all bits aside, I genuinely don’t believe Glenn was a bad person. Bad father is a little harder to defend, but in both cases, he has solely good intentions that are only brought down by his own naivety and avoidance. The way Glenn acts in court, I really doubt he’s faced any real legal trouble before, and he’s stated before that the most damage he’s ever caused was stealing a $15 dollar wine opener from a hotel room. Everything “bad” he does in the forgotten realms is in the interest of keeping Nick, himself, his friends and their kids alive, and I think it’s safe to assume that logic carries back over to his life on earth. He’s a single father who is ultimately doing his best for Nick, given his own knowledge of how to be a father in the context of his own childhood. He has no support system (pre-canon, at least) and, honest to god, he just doesn’t know any better. Free my man he doesn’t deserve any of what happened to him!!
