my thoughts while rewatching all of Helluva Boss in honor of the S2 trailer PT 4 (help me)

THE CIRCUS - i'm not ready to relive this episode again - baby stolas is so cute omg - ugh fuck this guy - bro literally got the best job - this episode is so well written omg - "oh- that's an ugly noise son" lives in my head rent free - OMG BARBIE WIRE SPOTTED i think - awww love at first sight how sweet - young blitz is weirdly relatable - the great... PIRATE warrrrrrr!" - awww poor blitz, fuck his dad - DON'T YOU SMACK THE BABY - i hate paimon - okay wait but the pirate game is actually so smart, little blitz is a genius - stolas's fascination with imps is so cute - the chandelier scene is so cool visually - stapler and biscuit queen??? - okay i'm gonna make note of this now since i've already seen this episode, but i love how each of the three scenes starts with stolas looking in the mirror, gradually getting more and more depressed. this is one of the best episodes, really, you can tell how well thought out it was - fuck stella - love her voice though - HIS LITTLE "i'm fine" AFTER CHOKING ON THE ABSINTHE OMG - the goetia background characters are some of vivzie's best ngl - this scene lives in my head rent free oh my god - ngl this scene is like a little uncomfy - im uncomfy guys - where's the fucking consent (i get stolas is very CLEARLY willing but like.... c'mon) - imagine being bryce pinkham and having to record this - AWWW I JUST REALIZED THAT AFTER OZZIES THEY BOTH SCROLLED THROUGH THEIR PHOTOS - OWL IN A CAGE FUCK YEAHHHHHHH - ew its smella - bryce's delivery this scene is P E R F E C T - good on stolas for standing up for himself though - i love this episode

SEEING STARS - i vividly remember being in class when this came out and like audibly screaming - "how was i supposed to know you could spell? i've never seen you READ" i love him so much - poor octavia oh my god - M&M WATCHING THE CONFLICT OMG - why tf did he have cucumbers on his eyes - moxxie fat shaming counter: who tf knows what number we're on now - i hate the music sideplot thing with moxxie - okay wait i kinda don't like this episode - stolas is hot - stolas laughing at his awful joke is so wholesome omg - the loona flashback omg - "eh-" *throws watter bottle* - the one lady's boobs were on fire - octavia has some of the most heartbreaking lines omg - i love loona's va, idk who she is but i love her - oh i never noticed stolas's little teleporty thing that was cool EXES AND OOHS - help me - two seconds in and we're mentioning moxxie's weight again - THE HORSES ON THE WHITEBOARD - the poor children - this was a phenomenal episode, from what i remember - fuck crimson but his design is amazing - ew i forgot about chaz - i hate him so much - this episode is so green - I LOVE THAT MOXXIE AND BLITZ MET IN PRISON - this scene is painful - dicks in the walls - chaz makes me so uncomfortable oh my g o d - i skipped the song - blitz fucking chaz is so in character - this all sounds so negative i really do love this episode - like a lot - "I ObJeEcT!" is so silly - one of helluva's best choreographed fight scenes fr - i was like audibly sobbing when i first watched this - hey but bright side, blitz got a fucking cool jacket out of it

Moxxie's Feelings of Gratitude

I just want to talk about one of my favorite scenes from 'Exes & Oohs' because it really shows how much gratitude Moxxie has towards Blitzø.

In this scene, Moxxie looks so utterly betrayed by the fact that his boyfriend, Chaz, whom he had serious feelings for, essentially left him the moment things went south during the hijacking.

The moment Chaz leaves, there's a close up shot of Moxxie’s face and he looks utterly heartbroken.

He immediately gets thrown in jail, and Moxxie is utterly dejected. Suddenly, Blitzø pops up out of nowhere.

Blitzø is talking a million miles a minute, not really listening to anyone or anything, but Blitzø being Blitzø banters about. Moxxie is confused, but his face lights up.

"I got a plan to get us out of this dump but I'm gonna need some help, you think you can give me a hand? I need to get out to my daughter, the babysitter will kill me if I don't get back soon."

I think the reason why Moxxie is so happy is because Blitzø does not hesitate to include the poor guy. Blitzø is just friendly, casual, and determined.

And you know what the fun part is?

The moment Moxxie gets out of jail, he stays with Blitzø, and he doesn't leave. He doesn't even think about returning home. He sticks around with him, forms I.M.P with him, and then meets and falls in love with Millie along the way.

The flashback ends and we immediately cut to Moxxie making this face towards Blitzø, and there is so much appreciation and gratitude chocked up into this one expression.

Despite how harsh and mean Blitzø can be towards him at times, and even though Moxxie can get really annoyed with his boss's bullshit... there's gratefulness and loyalty in that expression. And I love that...

"Once I got out I never looked back..."

And then you see Blitzø looking at Moxxie with a confused expression, because of course he would.

Of course, Blitzø is completely unaware on the profound impact he had towards Moxxie. That fucking dumbass (affectionate).

Looking forward to seeing Millie's backstory next episode, now that will be fun!

If you think about it, what got both Moxxie and Millie on board with partnering up with Blitzo is that he made them see they could do better.

Blitzo met Moxxie at the lowest point in his life. He grew up in a cold, loveless, violent household where the only way to survive was being a cold-hearted monster. And seeing as he was the Don's son, that was probably all he thought he could ever aspire to be.

And then he met Chaz. His first love, probably the first person since his mother who ever made him feel happy and appreciated. ...only for it to go down the drain when the very same person who was supposed to love him unconditionally and always support him left him to rot in jail.

He probably believed it was all his fault for thinking he could trust anyone anyway.

And then, Blitzo shows up. Within a minute of knowing the guy (without even knowing his name), he'd already included him in his escape plan and won him over by mentioning his daughter and proving he's a caring and involved dad all in a matter of seconds.

In a matter of seconds, he made Moxxie realise he deserved and could surround himself with better people. People who love and appreciate him.

Millie's a whole other story, but just as meaningful.

Millie comes from a farm, from an imperfect family, but a family that's loving and close nonetheless. Millie's never wanted for love and companionship.

However, she's a Wrathian. An Imp coming from a ring where you're either a farmer or an assassin working for somebody, where you can never strive to be anything else because the world is stacked up against you. You're someone's lackey, not your own person.

And then Blitzo comes along looking for her. Not because he wants to make her pay for stealing their hit, not because he's got anything against her, but because he is genuinely impressed by her talent and wants to give her a chance to work for him. To make something of herself.

Of course, she doesn't believe him. Why should she? Everyone knows Imps are the lowest link in the food chain. There's no way this wacko can back up all that talk.

But he does. He proves not only that he's just as capable as she is, but that she is even more capable than she already thought. And if she wanted to, she could take the world by storm.

Blitzo made Millie realise that she's worth so much more than what anyone thinks, even herself.

In the end, this all comes to show she was right when she and Blitzo had their heart-to-heart. Blitzo doesn't destroy everything he touches—after all, he single-handedly made two lives infinitely better. Three, if we count Loona.
