#hiccup haddock blurb

mei!! i just read a meis mail from a while ago about sleeper build hiccup, and it got me thinking abt yk casual dominance hiccup, and ohh baby have i had an idea

reader is doing something (maybe it's time for bed or smth??) and hiccup comes to get them and they object, and so he picks them up and throws them over their shoulder like a sack of potatoes and gives them a loving spank or smth ‼️

im drooling at the thought. i need to be manhandled

"It's late," Hiccup's soft, kind voice comes from over your shoulder as you clutch the last twenty pages of your novel in your fingertips, desperate to turn one.

"I know," You hum, "But I'm really close to finishing. Just go- I'll meet you there."

You hear his footsteps- a thud and a scrape of metal-on-metal approach you, and you lean to the side so that Hiccup can have a bird's-eye view of your reading.

"You know, I'm usually the one everyone has to drag to bed every night."

"I know. I've done it before," You nod, eyes still flickering across the page though you're inclined to focus on the way Hiccup's breath fans over your shoulder and against your neck, "Just- ten more minutes, I swear."

"Alright-" Is all you hear before Hiccup snatches the book out of your lap, and you protest indignantly even though he keeps his finger in your spot so he doesn't lose it.

"Hey! Give it back," You consider punching him in the stomach- you know Berk bullied him throughout his childhood. Perhaps it's time to bring it back if he doesn't unhand your novel.

"Relax. It's coming with us." He keeps your novel held out of your reach as he bends himself over the couch, and before you know it his hand is around your waist. You're frankly surprised that he doesn't topple over as he stands up straight again, because it means that you're lifted with him, and you marvel at the strength he doesn't often get to showcase as he swings you over his shoulder.

"Hey- Hiccup!" You shriek, your view of the world turning upside-down, "Hiccup, put me down!"

"I'm going to! I'll put you down in bed," Hiccup begins his trek up the stairs, and you see the way the muscles in his calves strain in his rucked-up pajama pants, "And you can finish your book there. I want to sleep, I don't want to be jostled around at three in the morning when you finally turn in."

"I never wake you up," You huff, staring at the ground as you're hauled upstairs upside-down, "A flock of terrors could fly you off into the night and you'd only notice when the sun came up."

"They’re very grumpy, Toothless," Hiccup warns the dragon that's eyeing you curiously, and the night fury plants his forefeet on the ground to turn his own head upside-down and meet your eyes.

"Get him, Toothless," You urge the dragon, watching as he blinks his large green eyes inquisitively at you, "Bite his ankles, whack him with your tail, make him regret kidnapping me!"

"It's not kidnapping if I put you down in another room of your own house," Hiccup sets your book on the nightstand, opening it up to your page again. You expect to be set down on the mattress now but before he lowers you to the bed you feel a sharp slap against your upturned ass where it rests beside his face, one that you jerk and yelp at, "And don't tell my dragon to beat me up, you cruel thing, you."

sneaking around the edge with hiccup . . .

He finds you already waiting. Dead center of dragon’s edge. Moonlight slashing across your skin, his shirt hanging loose off your shoulders, and nothing else beneath it. No pants. No underlayer. Just bare thighs and that look in your eyes that tells him you’ve been planning this since long before you knocked on his window. Hiccup stops short. Breath caught.

“This is…” he glances around at the empty island, the open platform, the complete and utter openness of the dome. The nightmare of it all. “Seriously?”

You tilt your head, smile lazy. “You came, didn’t you?”

He swallows. Hard. Boot creaking on the stone as he steps into the dome. “You’re gonna get me in trouble.”

“Nobody’s gonna say shit to you, Chief boy.”

“Yeah?”

You hum. “C’mere, been thinking about you since dinner.”

He chokes a little on his own breath, pulls you in wordless, quick and kisses you like he’s mad about it. Both hands at your waist, thumbs already under the hem of the shirt, pulling you flush against him. His mouth is hot and desperate against yours, half-frantic like he's already imagining what someone would see if they looked out right now.

You tug at his belt. He lets you. But when you go to drop to your knees, he stops you, grabs your wrist, pulls you upright again. “No,” he says. Voice rough. Steady. “You got me out here? Then you lie down.”

You stretch out on your back with a smile, the wind cool against your thighs, the dome wide open around you. Every sound is louder in the silence. His breathing, your heartbeat, the drag of leather and the scrape of his metal foot against the stone as he kneels between your legs.

“Someone could walk out of their hut right now and see you like this,” he murmurs, running his hands slowly up the inside of your thighs. “Want them to?”

You just arch your back and nod. He groans, low in his throat. “Gods, you’re going to ruin me.”

And then he dips down and does the same to you. His tongue is slow, purposeful. Fingers already deep inside you before his mouth even touches you, pressing just right, curling like he knows exactly what you need. “Keep your legs open,” he murmurs.

You moan, legs falling wider, and he moans with you like the sound turns him on just as much as the taste. Your hand flies to your mouth, stifling it, but he pulls away just long enough to say “No. Don’t hide it.”

His lips wrap around your clit again, hot and wet and hungry, and when you come, trembling, choking on his name, he rides it out with you, tongue dragging slowly as he drags his fingers free. Then he wipes his mouth with the back of his hand.

“Turn over. Hands and knees,” he says, already undoing his belt. “Face toward the huts. Let them see your face when I fuck you.”

Your brain goes static but you move. The wind rushes through your hair as you brace yourself on the stone floor, thighs still shaking, and when he pushes into you from behind with one steady, deep thrust, you nearly sob. “Oh—Hic—”

His hands lock around your hips, holding you in place. Not rough. Not fast. But deep. Every time he pulls out, he drags slow and lets you feel the stretch, the build, the pressure. You swear he’s trying to draw it out just to watch you fall apart. “You’re not thinking about them anymore, are you?” he breathes.

You shake your head. “Just you.”

He leans forward, mouth at your ear. “Good. That’s how it should be.”

You feel him twitch inside you. His rhythm falters. And when your voice breaks with, “You gonna come in me?” He groans like you just killed him. “If you keep talking like that…”

You look over your shoulder. Wind in your hair. Sweat on your brow. On your hands and legs, taking him in all the way to the hilt.

“Anyone can see,” he hums, fingers gripping tighter around hips, pulling you back to him in time with his thrusts.

“Let ‘em” You hold his gaze. “Let ‘em see what I do to their precious dragon boy.”

And that’s it. He sinks in one last time, gasping as he finishes deep, hips pressed tight, hands trembling where they grip your waist. You feel the heat of it, the way he shakes against your back, groaning into your shoulder as he rides it out.

He doesn’t pull out. Doesn’t say a word. Just lets his forehead fall to your spine and stays there. Breathing you in. Heart pounding against yours. The dome still open, the sky still watching, the world catching its breath with you.

thinking thinking of enemies to lovers w Hiccup. Who can't decide why he hates you but by everything good in the world he hates you. 

Maybe it starts out as friendly competition in the skies when you get your own dragon. Slowly inching to beating his fastest times till one day you actually do it. No need for an all chicken diet. It's all hard work and practice. 

He holds that grudge for a while, at least till a new one takes its place. His father even has taken a liking to you, and Stoic can't stand most people on a good day. But he only sings your praises and it makes Hiccup go mad. 

On the edge things only get worse. There is no village crowd to keep you busy and separated. There's only so much island to go around, and the habitable part is only so large. 

You wake up earlier than him most days, which he hates. There's no reason to one up him on your sleeping schedule. Which by the way has no need to be as strict as it is. You go to bed at the same time every single night, no exceptions. Not even when it's a birthday, or if they get visitors. 

God he hates you. You're so stuck up you can't even join in birthday celebrations? Seriously? You get a few good words from the chief and you act like being seen with the rest of them is a crime. Good grief.  

Unfortunately, he’s the only one that seems to share this opinion of you. Because everyone else loves you. 

“I wish I had a sleep schedule like that.” Astrid sighs. And of course you flash your teeth in your signature smile telling her you'd love to help. 

Hiccup is going to be sick. 

Or when fishlegs need an extra set of eyes and hands for map making and book editing, he doesn't care about causing hiccups anymore with you around. Berks golden dragon rider everyone. Round of applause. 

Maybe when you two get separated from the rest of the gang in the middle of a snowstorm does all the pent up rage against you come to light. And maybe just maybe you're not as bad as he thinks, and your actions come from a place of well meaning. 

(And maybe the reason he hates you is that his crush on you has been going on for so long it's driving him crazy.)

So both of you hunker down on the only island you've found within an hour, freezing, clothes absolutely soaked. And huddled into a cave. At least there's a cave. Your dragons keep a fire going while your teeth chatter. 

Toothless raises his wings with your dragons and they move closer together. Subsequently pushing you and Hiccup closer till you're right up next to each other. 

Neither of you says anything. The chatter from earlier has long died down and you try not to stare too much. 

Your clothes are starting to dry, and you aren't as terribly cold as before. A win is a win. 

And maybe Toothless smacks his wings against Hiccup so he’s sent tumbling into you. And maybe you end up tangled together, staring at each other's lips till you push them together. 

And suddenly Hiccup understands his hate was never really hate. It was frustration, in never being able to do this before. 

When you get back you continue business and usual, only now Hiccup sends less scowls and more heart eyes your way. Everyone wins. Woho

i walk fast and i keep thinking about him just like. gently grabbing my ponytail and tugging me back to his side (hc he walks slow cus his prosthetic) and not even missing a beat in whatever we were talking about likkeee

Hiccup won't judge you too harshly for walking twice his speed, because the baby dragons you're raving about really are incredible, but when he can barely hear you anymore as he lags behind, he takes an extra long step and reaches for your hair that's swinging back and forth in its ponytail.

"And the littlest one is the fattest." You're laughing, demonstrating its size with your hands, "He's short but he's chubby because he eats the most- ah- hey!"

"Too fast." He murmurs, the thunk of his prosthetic leg hitting the bedrock beneath you a reminder that he can't exactly go for a sprint around the island anymore, "Keep going- what about the fat little baby?"

"He eats all of the rocks," You laugh breathily, feeling Hiccup's hand drift to the small of your back instead of hanging onto your hair, "I'll walk slower, sorry."

"I'm missing a leg, just in case you forgot." He sends you a cheeky, knowing grin, "The prosthetic chafes really bad if I rush too fast."

"Well we don't have to rush." You resolve, slowing yourself down to a snail's pace as you trek through the woodlands of Berk, "We can spend all day here. It'll give me a chance to get some fresh air, and it'll give you a chance to avoid your dad!"

"Hey! I'm not avoiding him," Hiccup gripes, but he gives in almost immediately, "I'm just- trying not to walk by him so that he doesn't suck me into a four-hour-long lecture about providing for our people when what he's really talking about is tending to Mildew's cabbage farm because he's too lazy to do it himself!"

"Well then," You snicker, bumping your shoulder into his and nearly sending him to the ground, "It'll give you a chance to not walk by your dad so that he doesn't suck you into a-"

"Alright- Walk faster again," Hiccup cuts you off, using the hand on your back to propel you forwards an extra step as you yelp with laughter, "If you're gonna make fun of me I don't want to hear it."

Thinking about this quote as it’s February and I thought winter was over, but the polar vortex says no.

hijack but it’s hiccup getting cursed and the only one who can help is a man he’s 90% sure doesn’t exist.

a myth that circles around the older villagers on berk. but what else can he do other then set off on a journey to reach the top of a mountain he’s never heard of

and of course he has a dragon that can’t stand the cold. so it will take much longer then necessary. not nearly enough time to train and get used to a new dragon just for this. the other riders don’t have the time to just spare their dragons. and this “curse” is only getting worse

it starts off as nothing but a chill in his bones. the usual start of winter. but when spring comes and he can’t chase off the chatter in his teeth, and no amount of blankets and soup and dragon fire will help, he goes to gothi

gothi tells him the most absurd reasoning. he’s been cursed, a curse of winters kiss to never leave his skin. how this curse has found him? he’s not sure. no one is.

and so gothi brings him the good news that there is no cure. victims succumb to the cold, seemingly turning to ice themselves. but there is an old story of a man who lives atop a mountain, that can cure any cold

so he goes bc he’s hiccup and has a hard time giving up. he doesn’t let anyone go with him. not until they force him and he sighs. but in the dead of night he leaves alone. this is his battle not theirs

and on the way to the top of the mountain he finds a little village to rest in. keeping toothless out of sight for now. he asks around and finds there lives a man at the edge of the village who is fond of all living creatures. so he goes there

and jack opens the door to find one very sick hiccup, leaning against his night furry and battling sleep. jack already knows. he’s seen it one to many times before.

and somewhere along the way that is the road of recovery hiccup finds out jack was the man of the myths all along. that he’s more mystical than he lets on

and maybe after a few weeks together, hiccup can’t help but feel more then just gratitude. and jack has fallen for a little human

berk is going to love this story

Headcanons/Blurbs:

This whole epilogue timeline in Homecoming isn't making any sense to me so far. They said it takes place after the epilogue, yet from what I've seen, it's just confusing. How do you think this is gonna go down?

I admittedly haven’t followed tooooo closely, so maybe you’ve caught something I haven’t! I know little more than the blurb here, and I guess for me, that seems straightforward enough. 

It’s been ten years since the dragons left, but Hiccup’s still leading Berk through some of the Snoggletog traditions from when dragons were around. The dragons are making plans of their own for the holiday, which seems to be what this picture is about, given the background. That background’s in the Hidden World. It could be a map to New Berk Toothless has drawn, but given as the dragons were all at that location at the end of THW’s climax, it might be something else. I feel like it’s plotwise safe to assume that the dragons’ plan is going back to New Berk to be with the humans; if not that, the plan is still about humans and will lead them to New Berk.

Now, the idea that it takes place after the epilogue would mean that it takes place after the Haddock family’s final joy ride. That might sound cumbersome because of the concept behind the final joy ride. I think that can still be plotwise consistent with the ending of THW. DeBlois has said:

“It was meant to be a final joy ride. It’s confirmation that Toothless survived, and not only survived, but thrived. And it’s a neat meeting where it’s like, ‘look, you have kids, I have kids.’ That last joy ride was meant to be a celebration, but not an indication that they would see each other again.”

But technically that doesn’t mean it was an indication they would not see each other again, either. It’s just that this is the final time it can be certain. You might chance upon one another again, but Hiccup, Astrid, Nuffink, and Zephyr won’t go looking for the dragons ever again, and can’t assume they’ll see a glimpse of a wing or tail. Ergo, that’s Hiccup’s surprise seeing the dragons arrive at New Berk in Homecoming. That epilogue ride was a semi-goodbye. But this is a shock-of-a-blessing he never could have expected!

Whether this Snoggletog reunion feels thematically/plotwise cumbersome after THW’s sense of a semi-goodbye, I think depends on writing execution. I can see this working fine and wonderfully! I think there can be a lot of heart, and not make it feel like the final goodbye joy ride emotions were retconned in favor of one more family get together.

They managed to pull a lot of emotion into Toothless getting an independently flying tail in THW, despite the fact it was done before and plotwise discarded in GOTNF. With the right emotions, motivations, and momentum, a reunion after a final joyride can be special indeed!

It’ll be interesting to see what they do! I for one think it’s awesome that we Dragon fans can celebrate Snoggletog with even MORE material now!
