in lieu of having posted any writing/headcanons/asks in the past few days because i have been *so* busy and unable to do anything fandom-related which is terrible and evil, i have a poll out of morbid curiosity and self-indulgence. i've been meaning to ramble here about how i feel about DC's lack fo Deaf representation and which Batfam members i would personally make Deaf, but i am mildly curious about the larger opinion and now i will subject you all to the question, i would love to hear thoughts/opinions/headcanons on any specific choices. (would love d/Deaf/HoH opinions esp but i'm mostly expecting this to reach the hearing crowd, so opinions from hearing ppl are ones i'm very curious about. if you've never given it thought before you are going to now or else /lh)

Saw one of my drawings on Know Your Meme today that I didn't post myself.

I know that's inevitable of the Internet, but idk how to feel about it. It's kinda wild lol

(ooc: btw, you can send asks for alternative versions of Field ive made! (Some of these are kinda stupid but shut up explodes /lh))

(Current aus are (spoilered for a lotta mentions of murder)):

Field.exe: stupid (silly) fusion of stereotypical exe guys and biblical accurate angel traits, very egotistical, calls himself the true god (that is obviously a lie bro stole those powers from his family by brutally murdering them)

‘No Party’ Field: lil guy that is a lil messed up in the head; has definitely been charged with false imprisonment (based off the No Party song from Marios Madness v2) he taunts anyone who tries stealing from him when he attempts to bargain things off for ridiculous prices

‘No Hope’ Field: being controlled by the ghost of a previous contestant, Field kills all of his family in a attempt to get the god powers (which he does, with the help of a very powerful scythe, which can literally kill immortals and steal their powers, based off the No Hope song from Marios Madness v2) he even goes as far as killing the two people who ever still cared about him from his family: Weedy and Clover

‘Bowhomp’ Field: based off ..certain events from a character ai chat, this Field is just fucking dead, with a bullet hole right between his eyes. He follows the contestants around, and doesn’t really do anything except try to warn them of any dangers

‘Abandoned’ Field: after a heated argument, Shotglass, Weedy, and Field storm off to do something other than argue. Field storms off to his barn and Weedy storms off to his house. Little did Field know was they he had been followed by Shotglass, who was now very drunkenly angry and violent, ready to kill someone. He did, and so Field’s farm was left abandoned, as well as Field’s corpse. Shotglass was in a bar a exact year later, talking to BGM and Fishbowl who had accidentally wandered in, when a TV nearby showed a missing poster for Field, which reminded Shotglass of what he had done. Field, however, was somewhat alive, despite massive blood loss, and had been hiding out in his farm, too weak to get out. He was still heavily bleeding so the farm was just covered completely in blood as the crops outside seemed to wither along with Field until BGM finally found him after a year since he had been shot (Based off the song Abandoned from Marios Madness v2)

‘Alone’ Field: simple, Sap and Lucky are fucking dead and Field was too much of a scaredy cat to save them in time. All he can do now is mourn (Based off the song Alone from Marios Madness v2) (still doesnt have design yet)

Things To Know!

Hey there and welcome to a very inconsistent travel blog of my adventures as a disabled adult! I thought it would be a great idea to make an extensive guide to travel for people like me because I went all over the internet looking for detailed information on what to expect when traveling alone for the first time and found only vague travel guides and what to do with your autistic kids on long trips.

How I rate places and experiences:

How am I going to rate things and experiences? We're gonna call them "sensory stars" since autism/sensory issues are my biggest obstacle. I'll award points activities or experiences based on how accessible and friendly they are. I do not expect every venue, experience, etc to be friendly because quite frankly there's some that aren't, but those that go out of their way to be accessibility friendly and go out of their way to offer it etc will earn "bonus points" so to speak.

Consistency:

If you're expecting to see new trips every month from this Tumblr I am sorry to tell you you'll be disappointed. While I (in theory) enjoy travel it takes a lot of planning and money. I may post about new trips every few months however the plan for this blog is to share helpful tips and advice, share things I've learned to make travel easier and rate activities and places I've been for others planning trips.

Qualifications:

How could I possibly be qualified to write a blog about traveling with disabilities? I'm so glad you ask! I'm a late diagnosed AuDHD, non-binary person who presents fem, who also happens to be HOH and have a chronic illness that effects both my energy level and joints, with some PTSD and mental illness as a cherry on top.

Vocab: (updated as needed)

AuDHD- Autism ADHD wombo combo

HOH- Hard Of Hearing, moderate to severe hearing loss

Tism- shortened term for autism

Sensory Friendly- things that don't rub my Autism or ADHD the wrong way

(C)PTSD- (complex) post traumatic stress disorder, I have complex but I just shorten it to PTSD and happens after traumatic episodes and events

Final Thoughts:

So in summary that's me and what I'm planning to do with this space and maybe help some people?

Life is too short to not see the massive world we live in and I want to both see it and help people like me be less scared/anxious about traveling.

I have a question for the Deaf/ASL community!

Hello!! I am new to the ASL community, I started teaching myself ASL recently through apps, videos, etc.

I work in a clinic so this is one of the major reasons I am wanting to learn since I come into direct contact with several deaf/HOH folks daily, along with it generally being an interesting language to learn, I am also nonverbal often so this would be a more convenient means of communication for me. I used to know a little sign but was never able to actually learn more than what a few friends from the special education classes taught me.

I want to make more deaf/HOH friends/acquaintances so I can communicate through those means and have proper conversations with people via ASL!

However I am not sure how to go about this, I also don't know if there is anyone who would want to be friends/how to find friends in the Deaf/HOH community!

I also am worried about offending anyone. I am absolutely open to constructive criticism/help/etc. If this is seen as offensive in how I described my situation, please do let me know so I can rephrase or rethink my words!

I hope I can learn lots in ASL!!

House of Heroes Blog

So I made a separate blog for my Zelda AU House of Heroes. As of now, there's nothing on it, but if/when HoH picks up, I can post the bigger story beats there. At the very least all resources for the story will be there for easier access. The way I dish out HoH will likely vary from comics to doodles to writing, but I hope to mostly do comics. For now I'll still post strictly HoH stuff here until I make the cover page and references.
